My husband, Corey and I, used Elevated Catering for our wedding this past May. I didn't realize I…read morehadn't reviewed them until now. We absolutely flat-out LOVED working with Elevated. They were the best vendors we worked with - and we worked with some awesome vendors. They were incredibly communicative, responsive, professional, and fun. They knew all of the ins and outs of what to ask us about, and what to take care of themselves. They gave us such piece of mind in orchestrating much of our wedding, and they worked with us extensively to coordinate between our rentals vendor, dessert vendor and other vendors to set everything up. The price was slightly higher than other caterers we got quotes from, but it was for good reason - the "gold-standard" service they promise is no joke. In addition, the quality of the food we had was heads above those of other caterers we tried around Denver. We had a brunch buffet for the wedding, and they made sure we had food that met the dietary needs of all of our guests - vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike. My husband and I are big foodies, and so enjoying the food at our wedding was of the utmost importance to us. We loved it, and we got rave reviews from our guests. They still tell us that the food was one of the highlights of our day. If we ever have catering needs again, we will not look around, and instead just go to straight to Elevated.

I really don't even know where to begin with this review. Elevated is quite possibly the…read moreworst-managed business I have ever dealt with. My husband and I booked Elevated back in 2019 for our June 2020 wedding. They put on an excellent tasting and we were completely wowed by the food. Shortly after, we booked them and paid our 25% deposit. Then things started to go downhill. I would never wish the amount of anxiety and stress they caused us on any couple. Many of our other vendors went out of their way to be helpful, communicative, and kind during the entire planning process. Elevated did the complete opposite. I feel like, working in the wedding industry, you have to understand that most couples are spending more money on this day then they have on anything else in their lives. They also spend so much time/effort planning the day, coordinating details, and dreaming about what the day will look like. It is supposed to be one of the happiest days of their lives, so as a worker in this industry, you should be doing your absolute best to deliver the day of their dreams and ensure a smooth planning process. Elevated Catering was undoubtedly the most stressful aspect of our 3 year (thanks Covid) engagement. Our biggest complaints are the following: · LACK OF RESPONSIVENESS- Planning a wedding is tough! There are so many moving parts and you have to coordinate so many details with so many different vendors. For this reason, it is important to have a reliable point of contact. Elevated consistently took weeks and oftentimes MONTHS to respond to calls and emails. We constantly felt like we needed to hound them to get any sort of answers. · HORRIBLE SERVICE DAY OF WEDDING- They showed up with only one bartender, when we specifically asked for and were contracted for two bartenders. Many of the staff members were completely deficient in alcohol- related knowledge. For instance, one did not know the difference between Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio. When I asked another server what kind of wine they had on a platter, they said "white". They did not make sure my now husband and I were served any appetizers. We also were not served drinks at our dinner table. We had to walk up to the bar each time, even though we specifically requested a server dedicated to the head table as well as one for the parents' table. Every wedding I've been to, wine glasses have been on the table, so that servers can easily fill guests' glasses. This did not happen. Well after we were seated, I looked at our head table only to see that not one person had a drink. Servers were using our cocktail tables (that we had set up for guests to use and mingle at) to hold dozens of glasses of wine. There were multiple crashes of dishes and wine glasses that were never properly picked up and guests got chards of glass in their feet. Stephen had a staff member's 14-year-old child working our wedding because they were so short-handed. Aside from the fact that 14 years old seems extremely young to be working a wedding event, the child was NOT TRAINED whatsoever. When we asked Stephen about this, he said "Is this ageism showing?" · NO CLEAR LEADERSHIP- Stephen Tanner, the owner, has an excuse for literally everything. Nothing is ever the business' fault. There is no clear point of contact. Occasionally he would give you the name and email of a new person of contact, but shortly after, they would leave the company and you would never be notified of the change. The website was never updated with current personnel and contact information, so you would continually reach out with no response. After our wedding day, we contacted Stephen to discuss our awful wedding day service. He told us he KNEW the head-table's server was doing a terrible job, because she was dealing with altitude sickness. We then asked why he didn't appoint someone else or come up to us and ask if we needed anything. He said there was never a "right time". He also continually blamed every one of Elevated's mishaps on everyone else. While we did have other vendors who messed up throughout the day, as a business owner, I don't think it's appropriate to follow up every complaint with an excuse such as "Oh well the DJ messed up the timeline", "The baker messed up the Crème Brule", "She had altitude sickness", "You're being ageist", " I had to pick up a 2ndjob because of COVID", "The appointment must have fallen off my calendar", "I forgot to tell you they're no longer with the company", "I did receive your email, I've just been so busy". At some point, you must be a leader and take responsibility for your actions and your horrible customer service. · LACK OF FOLLOW THROUGH- There were many appointments and meetings set up that no one ever showed up for. There were many times Stephen would say he would get something to us next day, only for days and weeks to pass by with nothing. He also promised services the day of our wedding that were never received.

And it was delicious! Most of the guests went back for seconds. I also appreciated how well the menu items complimented each other, and they were beautifully plated. Plus, we had more than enough for everyone. I don't live in Denver, but if I ever need catering there again, Adde's would be my first choice!

Stay away from this place! And don't buy the obviously PURCHASED 5 star reviews (they are so easy…read moreto spot). If not purchased, they were friends of the owners because they way too glowing for this sewage pit of a "restaurant". They set up on Door Dash as "Encore Ghost Kitchen" and it has to be the worst food I've ever had in Denver. And that's saying A LOT. This is like a huge bait and switch, the pictures they show don't come anywhere near the actual food you get. Let's dig in, shall we? Their menu looks and sounds amazing, just like home cooking. All the things we love to eat are there and on the site they look fresh, colorful and delicious. Hardly! First off, doesn't this sound good: "Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts"? I actually just made some of these myself last weekend and they were amazing! My wife decided to order them from this hack join and they were raw, ZERO seasoning whatsoever, ZERO maple and about 1/4 teaspoon of bacon bits. Gross. Next up we have potato skins, everyone's favorite right? The wife and I both got one of those and, to their credit, they were the only edible thing we got but only just barely. Like the sprouts they didn't come with one single grain of salt or other seasoning. And the ranch they so eloquently showed in their pictures? Well it was about 1/8th of a teaspoon on about 1/2 of the skins. Fortunately we had some home made ranch and salt and made them edible. Finally let's talk a childhood favorite that I make often: chili mac (this hack bait-and-switch calls it "Cincinnati Chili"). I've never been so disgusted by a dish before. The picture shows this beautiful bright red chili on spaghetti, what I got was a super greasy bunch of ground beef on some noodles, brown and more grease than anything. And, again, zero seasoning and it tasted like it came right from a can. For this we paid $70. SEVENTY DOLLARS! Here's my theory. This is a catering company struggling to make ends meet in the COVID era of dining, so they spin up this half baked "Door Dash only" fake restaurant to bring in cash with sub-par ingredients hoping to stick around. You look at their website and this is just what it looks like. So, in summary, if they will do this bait-and-switch to get you to eat the canned garbage that a raccoon would walk away from, imagine what their terrible catering looks like? If you like greasy canned, non seasoned uncooked brown food, this is your place.

Footers catered our wedding - June 17, 2022 - at blanc in Denver. WOW I was absolutely blown away…read moreby this team, the food and my whole experience working with them. First of all - the food is amazing. The tasting experience was so fun in the planning process and we loved EVERYTHING. Our Coordinator, Sarah, was incredible and gave us a tour of their awesome facility and setup a tasting with my parents, my fiance, and me. It was so delicious and the chef that brought out the food was so fun. At our venue, blanc, we had to bring in ALL the furniture and Footers coordinated everything for us. It was a little more expensive but A MILLION PERCENT WORTH IT because the Footers team did an incredible job setting everything up, flipping it from ceremony to dinner outside, getting everything just perfect and doing it all behind the scenes. They worked seamlessly and directly with the Wedding Coordinator (Color Coated Events), the florist (Flora by Nora) and the venue (blanc) so that once we had the plan - I really didn't need to be involved in too many details. They even made the entire floor plan for the ceremony and reception - including all the cocktail tables, DJ area . . . EVERYTHING. THIS SUPPORT IN PLANNING A WEDDING IS ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS. The food is incredible. We had passed apps of mac & cheese croquets, steak bites, ahi tuna and Tuscan wontons. We had a buffet with picatta potatoes, broccolini, eggplant with ricotta and prime rib. We did a small cutting cake and an EPIC dessert table with mini bites everyone loved. We had a late nigh snack of breakfast quesadillas, which everyone loved. My friends were all pulling out the extras they stashed in their purses at the bar after-party - ha! Footers even made little leftover boxes with everything labeled for us that we got at the hotel after the wedding. Yes - Footers is a little more expensive than the competition - but truly not by much (I triple bid everything and compared a TON. It was only a little bit more.) And there is a GOOD reason. Footers' team are absolute professionals and they will take such good care of you so you don't have to worry about ANYTHING with tables / decor / food on your day. Instead of worrying about anything during the wedding - I was accepting glasses of white wine and LOTS of water (it was so hot) but the attentive staff (SHOUTOUT TO AJ!!!!) Hire Footers - you will be SO THANKFUL you did.
