Awesome gluten free breakfast spot. Had a cheddar biscuit with eggs and it was delicious!! Also a nice outdoor patio and a spot for our dog . Def would recommend!

Definitely a must if you are in the Clayton neighborhood. The coffee is amazing and has been perfectly brewed every time I've gone there. Saturday mornings have an atmosphere with neighborhood families coming in and kids playing in the front lot. Friendly service and great food. Recently they went all gluten free which is a great with gluten free needs. I also believe they do a community dinner once a month to help raise funds for the local community. Super cool and s must visit.

Don't get me started on the gluten free (GF) food options here..... to LIVE FOR!!! The biscuits.. the sweet treats.. the savory treats.. they really have it all and they do it well. And on top of it, the vibe and ambiance are super cute with great service. AND the coffee is great. Gluten free or not (but definitely my GF peeps), do yourself a favor and stop by river and roads. If I lived in this area I would have a serious problem!

This is my GO TO cafe. As a gluten free girly, this place is like heaven on earth. It's the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had in my entire life and even my friends who aren't gluten free LOVE it. The turkey panini is also incredible. Their coffee is delicious, but it is super strong and makes me feel like I need to run a marathon after so I usually opt for the iced matcha. Their syrups are made in house and the baked goods are seasonal and so good! The baristas are always so friendly and the cafe itself is adorable with lots of natural light. Overall, this is my favorite coffee shop in the Denver area and absolutely worth the visit.

I cannot emphasize enough how good this breakfast sandwich is. I was recommended this enough times that I finally had to come, and I was NOT disappointed. It is perfectly moist with a great filling to bread ratio. The coffee was good as well. I just got a cold brew, and it got the job done. The space was pretty full with mainly people working remote. There's patio out front for when it's nice as well. Staff were busy but still had great attitudes and smiles

We loved the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit! Also really enjoyed the turkey panini and donut holes. All gluten free and delicious! Would pass on the fries, undercooked and the Mediterranean ones have a strange combo of toppings. Really cool space with nice patio. Didn't try any coffee but look forward to going back :)

Woo hoo! Whether you are committed to a gluten-free diet or you just really like an amazing cheddar biscuit breakfast sandwich and good coffee. This is your spot. We ate like a kid in the candy store. We ordered breakfast sandwiches, avocado, toast, banana, bread, scones. What we didn't eat there we took with us. The scones were so good even the next day as leftovers. But that breakfast sandwich is hands-down the best I've ever had. The place was hopping when we got there, but we didn't have a problem getting a table. They have a nice outdoor patio area. But it was too cold for that. Coffee was excellent, Service was prompt and friendly. Can't wait to go back.

Super cute cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Great coffee. I had both a cafe au lait and a cold brew. Lots of gluten free items to choose from, which I love. We got a bacon quiche, a vegetarian biscuit sandwich, and a monster scone. I was bummed that the quiche was crustless but it came with some kind of garlicky aioli which was delicious. I did not enjoy the scone. It reminded me of those thick grocery store sugar cookies with frosting. My daughter loved it though and ate the whole thing.

While staying in Denver, we found this coffee shop within walking distance of our stay. It was such a treat to wake up and grab a nice warm drink and a bite to eat here. Their menu has something for everyone and we wanted to try something new each time. I especially loved the Mexican Hot Chocolate which had the perfect kick of spiciness to it. They have indoor and outdoor seating for the warmer months and even an area for dogs. The staff is friendly and helps to give recommendations for first timers. Despite a constant stream of people, it never felt too crowded or noisy. Seems like a great place for a bite or even to sit and work.

Went on a trip to Denver recently and I am a big new wave coffee shop guy. I was shocked with the amount of options available in Denver. With all the competition, River and roads coffee was able to stand out. The coffee was amazing. I went with my usual cortado and my girlfriend got two different lattes over the course of two days and hers were also excellent. Usually a spot that has great coffee doesn't have good food, luckily for us, River and roads have a great food selection as well. We stayed at an Airbnb close to the MLK location and would recommend anyone to stop by if they're local.

Very cute and aesthetic place! The pumpkin spice late was a little too sugary for my liking but when I came back I also had a vanilla late and it was delicious. It was nice to sit outside and they had a lot of good food items. My boyfriend loved the sausage and egg sandwich!

Great place to get some coffee and baked goods. I loved the drip coffee and will try cookies next time! Service is super quick and you can check out the mixes and coffee beans in the mean time.

Rivers and Roads is a great spot to enjoy: - A nice, trendy coffee shop setting. - WiFi to work from inside. - The outside 'good' dog-friendly patio for fresh air & hopefully some sunshine. We ordered some gluten free lemon donut holes and an oat milk matcha latte with simple syrup. Both items were tasty and quenched the cravings! Left our tummies very happy! The menu has a range of food items to try and they do also provide doggy treats for your furry family members! A nice touch!

This is a breakfast and light lunch spot with counter ordering and lots of takeout. However, if you dine in you receive real, solid silverware, linen napkins, and quality porcelain cups which really elevate the experience. There's seating for about 25 inside plus space for another ten outside. A large handicap ramp takes up a lot of the outdoor space, but provides excellent access. There's a good selection of baked goods and pastries, a wide selection of coffee drinks, a cooler with an interesting variety of sodas and healthy drinks, plus cocktails, wine, and beer. There are some breakfast plates, salads, soup, and sandwiches. There were a number of discrepancies between the Web site and the current offerings. That's always disappointing and leads me to think management is not on top of operations. A number of basic items were also unavailable. My girlfriend tried the Curry Bird which is curried chicken and turkey salad with sultanas, celery, red onion, and lettuce on a house-made croissant. She loved it and ate up every bite. I did not fare so well with my Woody Wood: house-roasted turkey, bacon, smashed avocado, tomato, lettuce, swiss cheese, cranberry relish, and tarragon aioli on ciabatta. That certainly sounds delicious. It was not. I don't like sandwiches that are served on totally dry bread and that was this. Not a hint of cranberry relish or tarragon aioli, much less butter, mayo, mustard, oil or anything else. The ciabatta was delicious, but dry as the Sahara. The staff was able to provide some mayo packets and that helped a bit. The turkey was dry and tasteless. House-roasted? Maybe by Hormel or Sysco. I needed a magnifying glass to find the bacon. "Smashed Avocado" is not the same as unseasoned guacamole that has been sitting out for far too long. To top it off, an unripe tomato and some sort of cheese that was certainly not Emmental. A very basic, ordinary supermarket sandwich, despite the good bread. Not what I expected. This is not the Olive & Finch I remember. Management has really dropped the ball.

Really lovely all vegan place that I visited twice while I was in Denver…read more Between my two visits, I got the gnocchi with sweet potato sauce, the Cuban sandwich, ginger beer, and the giant chocolate chip cookie. All of it was really great, but I think the gnocchi was my favorite of the two entrees. The ginger beer is not super gingery, tastes like Fevertree. The chocolate chip cookie with sea salt is an absolute must! It comes wrapped so I took mine back to the hotel to share with my non-veg husband after he got back from his work conference dinners and he said they were the best chocolate chip cookies he'd ever had! Also, I think it's fun that the plates are made to look like wood, but aren't. The first time I came it had been pouring rain, so the restaurant wasn't as full and it was very easy to find an open table, but the second time it was positively packed, and both times were week nights, so I suspect this place is pretty popular with the locals. I like that the ordering is done through QR code and website, since that would make it easy for groups and means you don't have to all know what you want at the same time (or, if dining solo as I was, you don't need to interact as much with staff, which is sometimes a blessing). Several members of the staff wore face masks, which I appreciated, and there were some nice paintings on the walls from local artists for sale. If I am ever in Denver again, I think I would really like to come back here--and I'd definitely get the chocolate chip cookie every time!

You seat yourself and have a choice to order with the QR code or go up to the counter. It being my first time I went up to the counter to get some additional recommendations. I went with the side buffalo cauliflower & the chicken Caesar salad. Both were fresh, had lots of flavor and filling-- highly recommend. When closing out my tab at the counter, I picked up a chocolate chip cookie togo (extra large in size and just the right about of sweetness). With the menu so unique I prefer a little more "hands on service" but the experience was tasty and eager to come back and try other things. Clean, homemade, high quality vegan food with lots of GF options/ substitution-- Highly recommend.

When we eneterd the restaurant the gentleman at the register was really helpful and pointed out that the whole 30 version of the menu item can greatly differ from the description often removing items. For example, if you are looking forward to the chicken and dumplings, beware if you select the whole 30 option NO DUMPLINGS. My salad had lots of ingredients, however, the whole 30 version only had beets and almond flour feta (which was delicious, ps) but a lack luster salad. I'm not sure why they wouldn't replace the pickled onions in the salad with fresh onions so it didn't look as sad. The green chili wasn't spicy (which is probably good for some) and was cumin forward. Not bad. Matt enjoyed it, although it had the vegan cheese wiz, which I am pretty sure shouldn't have been on the whole 30 option- we picked it out. The Buffalo cauliflower was an excellent portion and was good! The vegan ranch was watery and not what we expected, but also not bad. Spicy options for those of you like me are chaloula and I saw them with Frank's red hot, but you will have to ask the kitchen for it. It was cozy inside and as I mentioned the service was good. However, I'm not sure we would go back until they have a menu change.
