Little kind of hidden gem. I've heard of elemental Coffee, but I did not know this location was here. It looks like it's an area that's building out, there's a bunch of other small businesses here. I didn't even know this whole little like small business park existed. It's very cute. Absolutely recommend even if you don't go to Elemental Coffee (although I think that'll be a mistake) absolutely coming up to this neighborhood. Everything just kind of shown like immediately upon entering this place you know very acknowledge with Coffee you know obvious skill with Coffee right off of the bat. I love the fact that they're doing pour overs, not a lot of places are doing pour overs these days. The only place that I can really think of in the metro area that's doing it is Corvis, and Corvis is really a different experience and it definitely costs a lot more. First sip of the pour over I was thrilled. It's exactly the flavor profile I'm looking for from a pour over. It was clear from talking to the barista that he was more knowledgeable about Coffee than your average barista, he might have been the owner or the supplier. He was telling me about his suppliers where they're getting their beans experimental things that they're doing. One of the suppliers happened to walk by. He gave me a full rundown of you know what they're doing you know kind of what's new in different. Also, they're baking baked goods in house. As of writing this review, I haven't tried one of them yet I'm taking them home to my wife, but I can already tell that they are going to be phenomenal. There's some baked goods where you can tell by looking at them you know the quality you know of the of the croissant you know it's got that perfect flakiness. There's a lot of competition for coffee and pastries in the metro area. I think black box does very good pastries, some of them were a little experimental, their experimental drinks are definitely not for me. Bakery Forrest absolutely incredible baked goods, their coffee as I would call it pretty middle of the road. Obviously, I've raved on here about horse, which I think does a good job with both coffee and baked goods. A great third space/office away from home in York Yards. The complex is a little out of the way, but that means that you're not fighting for parking in a super foot-trafficked neighborhood. Big patio seating area for those who want to catch some rays (or bring their dogs), while many of their indoor seats boast outlets for those at work. Their wall art is also quite pleasant to look at. Coffee wise, I would say good but not memorable. They have your standard espresso and matcha drinks, with some seasonals that rotate, and home made syrups. The baked goods though - as others have said, these are creative and sumptuous, and will sell out. They have a good mix of savory and sweet items, with sandwiches available for a heartier meal. I will say I wish they had a few more dietary restriction friendly options, but this is nitpicking. Staff were friendly and patient with me as I carefully browsed each option, trying to decide if I should just buy everything now and ask questions later. This elegant coffee shop is tucked in the middle of the huge York Street Yards complex, alongside the 39th Avenue Greenway. There's quite a bit of seating, both inside and outside, plus a large overhead door that can be raised in nice weather to integrate the spaces. The usual coffees and teas are available plus chai, matcha, Thai, miso, and maple options. Apple cider is available, too. There are a variety of breads plus sandwiches and bakery items. There are also some gift selections and jewelry. The staff was friendly and helpful. My girlfriend enjoyed her latte. I was not thrilled with my hot chocolate which was watery and barely warm. Elemental has proven itself to be a 5-star coffeehouse. The reason why? Their bakery. Like, what voodoo magic and witchcraft are they cooking up back there?! As someone who frequents multiple coffee shops on a weekly basis, I'd like to think my opinion carries some weight. What Elemental excels at is their food and pastry program. Their housemade focaccia is something I fantasize about. Not just dream, FANTASIZE. Their pastries, even a plain croissant, you taste the difference. These cats are extremely talented in the back of house. A baking army that knows no bounds. Every single item I've ever had has been outstanding. Of course the coffee is great too. They use Queen City Coffee, and they have an espresso tonic on the menu, which is my kryptonite. York Street Yards, count yourselves lucky. Elemental gets me. They also may possibly be the best kind of problem as it's en route to my office. Where to start? Excellent vibe. Local art for purchase adorns the walls and flower arrangements are for sale in the back. Love that they have windows into the bakery side too so you can see where some of the magic happens. About that magic... pastries are delicious and there's a good variety. Bread is EPIC. If I could buy a pan loaf every week, I absolutely would. Burritos are stuffed and have a great tomatillo salsa to accompany. For drinks, I've had their spicy mocha and sweet potato lattes, both of which were on point. They seem to have a good amount of events that go on every month and parking is nice and easy. For those who are looking to get some work done, outlets abound! This place is amazing. A little hard to find even with GPS in an industrial complex but definitely worth the find. Stellar coffee and pastries with a very dedicated team of workers. I don't know if it was just because we went around Halloween but they were very into Harry Potter. The staff was dressed as such and some of the pastries were themed. We tried a Harry Potter inspired pastry with toasted marshmallow on top. The exact flavor was a surprise until cutting open. We had the Yuzu which was amazing. I could not get a picture because my kid grabbed the toasted marshmallow topping as soon as it came to the table and it was no longer presentable. Do not let the heavily industrial drive in through fool you, you're headed to a diamond in the rough. The space itself has a very bright, welcoming feeling. The staff are a lively bunch, who make their joy for what they do incredibly obvious. Their menu has a good mix of potential familiar favorites and seasonal specials. I went with the Maple Cold Brew. Now, being from New England, I am a bit of a maple snob, and I can safely say I was not disappointed. My girlfriend got the spicy chai, and that too was delicious! For a snack, we split the veggie quiche. Now typically, you offer me a "veggie" anything, and you'll be met with the dust I kick up as I sprint out the door. HOWEVER, I would be lying if I said this wasn't great, and I would absolutely get it again! All in all, we are happy to have found such a great little spot and we will without a doubt be back before too long. Intestinal Impact Index Rating: 3/5 it's coffee, who am I kidding. I really like the York Street Yard area! So when I found out this is where Elemental Bakery is nestled in, it already upped my impression. It's got the industry-turned-modern kind of vibes but it's safe from the busy street noise if you know what I mean. When the weather is nice, I can see the appeal of sitting outside of Elemental and enjoy the sips slowly - it has patio furniture out on the "porch" for lack of a better word. Inside is just as cool. Again with that contemporary warehouse look, subtly decorated with album artwork. It was a little loud the time we visited. Some college kids working on group assignment, I bet, loudly discussing. My miso-caramel cortado and veggie quiche were comped. Hubby ordered a London Fog and a Salami Brie sandwich. It got too loud so we left as soon as we finished lunch here. But it's not Elemental's fault. I wish we would've been able to enjoy the space more. Treat wise, both of our drinks were fantastic. The miso-caramel cortado comes in a short amber colored glass with perfect latte art. It is the ultimate sweet and salty combo. I definitely tasted the coffee even though I asked for decaf, the temperature was also perfect. I didn't want to finish sipping it, like ever! Hubby's London Fog was too hot, I burned myself when trying the first sip. But it was also a fantastic tea latte, just tasted really mellow and good. You have been warned about the temperature so wait a while to enjoy this drink. Food wise we were a tiny bit disappointed as they claimed to have had a busy morning, most of the pastries were sold out. As a bakery, their offerings all looked great, my quiche tasted good too but the shell, even though very flaky, was a bit dry, it felt overbaked. So was the baguette that was used for hubby's sandwich. Just too hard and chewy. And I really would've liked to have all the other baked goods to choose from. What a great coffee shop in the heart of RiNo! The shop is tucked away in an industrial area with plenty of parking. It's small, but they really maximize the space, so there's plenty of seating if you plan to hang out. As for the coffee and pastries, I got a caramel miso iced latte and the ham and gruyère croissant, both were delicious! I was skeptical about the drink flavor, but I'm glad I tried it; it tasted similar to salted caramel. The croissant was flaky, savory, and absolutely delicious. They had a great assortment of pastries and sandwiches, along with tea and other drinks. I love checking out new coffee shops, so I'm very glad I had the opportunity through Yelp to try this one! Love this place! The coffee shop is located in an industrial brick warehouse, and there's plenty of parking all the way around! It reminds me of the Meat Packing district in NYC or the Strip District in Pittsburgh where the restaurants and designer shops are in converted brick warehouses. I arrived at 1pm on a Wednesday afternoon and it was busy; the place has that community hub vibe. Alyssa was so friendly and recommended a few things on their menu. I ordered then cappuccino ($4.5) and the hazelnut praline cream croissant ($6.5). The cappuccino was strong, and I liked it. I came here for the yelp elite event, a free coffee and pastry, and was pleasantly surprised to find this coffee shop in the industrial looking york street shops. I went early in the morning before work so couldn't stay and enjoy the chill artistic ambiance, but loved all the pastry options they had to offer. I got their matcha latte with oat milk and appreciated that the barista asked me if I wanted the traditional unsweet earthy texture of it I wanted it sweetened. I personally prefer the traditional taste and this one did not disappoint! I also got their rye chocolate chip cookie which was to die for! Plenty of seating inside if you have work to do or just want to enjoy a good book with your coffee. I definitely want to go back on a weekend when I have time to soak in the place. Just updating my review. Today I had a cruffin(?) combo muffin and croissant. This one was apple with the lightest, fluffiest cream on top....so delicious!!! I'm only sorry I didn't take a picture. Get one! You can also get day old sourdough for less than it costs in the store! Good, not great. While the bakery and coffeehouse is working with Denver's Yelp group to offer a promotion for reviews, I paid my own way to offer an honest opinion. In short, the coffeehouse and bakery offers a nice atmosphere in an up and coming area. The coffee is fine. The baked goods were fine, but nothing as innovative as Black Box or similar options in food halls. I didn't experience any service while there - the folks behind the counter placed my order and called my name when ready for pick-up. Elemental is a pleasant coffee shop and bakery in a gentrifying part of town. The staff are very friendly and it's a modern, comfortable space. My son liked his hot chocolate, but my almond milk latte was mostly foam. And while my son as able to enjoy a few beautiful-looking bakery treats, unfortunately, there was nothing gluten free here at all. I felt left out. Surely Elemental can make safe items in a dedicated space, or offer some alternative items (Outrageous bread?). This coffee house is a bit hard to find with Google maps fyi. Beautiful pastry selection and lots of coffee options. I ordered the almond croissant and a cappuccino. The almond croissant was enormous and very dense and not quite like a normal croissant. Also this is going to sound insane but I felt like there was way too much almond filling, look at the pics. It was almost sandwich like with a giant serving of almond paste in the middle of the croissant. Sorry but I have to say the cappuccino was served in one of the smallest cups I have ever seen but was warm and tasty. I live over 50 minutes away from this location so probably will have to wait till I am in the area to go back. I hope to try so sandwiches and other types of pastries on my next visit. read more

After visiting 81 unique coffee shops in the Denver metro area, we have found a new favorite for many reasons. The coffee was delicious, and I didn't need my usual monk fruit sweetener! The whole milk latte was perfection, and Carson is the best barista artist I have met to date. They use delicious Queen City Coffee! The pastries were very good, and I will come back for the sourdough breads soon. They offer a nice menu with a variety of sweet and savory options, including sandwiches. I have always felt that coffee shops should be offering flowers by the stem, French style, and Elemental houses a small flower shop, which has fresh and dried flowers you can purchase. On our visit today, they also had beautiful jade bracelets that were high-quality. These would be lovely gifts. There is art for sale in the form of photography and prints. Tinned fish was also for sale. I bet that would be wonderful on a piece of their fresh baguette. This is an actual bakery, and they were working hard. The feeling of the indoor space is wonderful. There is something extra welcoming and calming about being there. The large table can be reserved if you have a large group coming. It seats 8 to 10. The setting is very industrial, yet the outdoor seating is inviting in both the sun and shade. This is a cute coffee shop/bakery with delicious pastries! I visited to get some work done and appreciated the free WiFi and ample seating. The ham and Gruyère croissant was amazing, so flakey and filled nicely. I enjoyed the grated cheese on top. I got a cinnamon roll to-go after seeing another person eating one, and it was amazing after about 15 seconds in the microwave. Soft and gooey, with a strong vanilla flavor in the frosting. There's a brand-new bakery and coffeehouse in town, and it's already one of my favorites. They are located in York Street Yarda and they are bringing together community, neighbors, and workers in a welcoming, community-driven space. Their website says, "Begin with good elements & the rest falls into place," and I truly think they embody that. Take owner and barista Cindy Wright and baker Sani who deeply value the science behind their craft, add fantastic coffee by Queen City Coffee, in-house baked loaves, pastries, and grab-and-go options plus a great vibe and an awesome staff and you've got a winner. I can't wait to go back! I've heard insanely good things about their cinnamon roll, and I need to try it asap! What I tried: Iced latte with oat milk Jambon Beurre Chocolate Pistachio Scone Chocolate Croissant Mushroom & Onion Quiche Best bites: Quiche has never been my go-to at a restaurant or coffee shop... but that changed real quick. Fluffy, creamy, perfectly caramelized onions which made it absolutely unreal. Same with scones...not usually my pick, but this one converted me. The chocolate & pistachio pairing was chef's kiss. I tried their sweet potato latte that was very smooth, but I wish it was a little sweeter and/or had more hint of coffee. It was definitely a comfort drink though. One of my favorite things to do is to explore the local coffee shop scene, so when I saw Elemental was opening soon, it rose to the top of my list. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The aesthetic is beautiful! Open light, clean, and a clear brand presence and awareness. Their drinks are high quality and unique. My go-to order is an oat milk cappuccino, and will occasionally switch it up for an oat milk matcha. Both here are incredible. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and you can tell they enjoy working here. They make all of their baked goods on site and you can see into the bakery and watch the magic unfold. Hot Tip: Buy a loaf or baguette of their sourdough to take home. It's delicious! Weds-Sat they also make Turkey and Ham sandwiches for a great lunch option.
