Well after YEARS of wanting to come here, we finally did... thanks to having the CSR card #iykyk We started with the burrata and I can honestly say I never knew burrata could taste that good. It was hands down the best thing we had and some of the other items we ordered were amazing too. If you're going to order anything here, do the burrata with the focaccia bread. You can thank me later. Next up, we had the carpaccio and crudo with caviar. If I had to choose only one, I would pick the carpaccio but the crudo with caviar is great. Freddie recommended the crudo with caviar and what a wonderful harmony of flavors. These were both standout winners. And the carpaccio meat was incredibly soft. Best carpaccio I've ever had, and I love carpaccio. Last, we had the paglia e fieno (rabbit ragu) and branzino. The branzino was the item I was most excited to try leading to our reservation and it was the item I liked the least. I am a huge branzino fan and order it any place that has it. This was probably my least liked branzino I have had. The olive sauce was just way too strong for this fish. The fish itself was beautiful but I couldn't get past the sauce. I would pass on this, even if you like olives. The rabbit ragu really surprised me and it was my 3rd favorite thing we ordered. I would definitely order that again. We passed on dessert since we were full and nothing sounded too good. We did valet at the hotel next door. I immediately told my friends this was one of the best Denver restaurants we've had. My husband and I dined in for our anniversary this past weekend and it was phenomenal! It was also our first time here. From the moment we walked in to when we left, everyone was so friendly and attentive. The hostess to manager to server all acknowledged it was our anniversary. Even the menus had a little "happy anniversary" typed on it! It's the little details that make the biggest impact. We had the burrata and half order of bread, delicious. Next up was the crudo. I loved the unexpected freshness and color from the rhubarb. My husband got the tagliatelle and I got the garganelli. Both were delicious. We ended up switching plates halfway through. We also got a side of grilled rapini. Very tasty, a little difficult to cut. To round out the meal, we finished with the affogato, mmm delicious. I appreciated there was a mocktail section as I don't drink too much anymore. The dishes and utensils were switched out after each course which is always appreciated. FIVE STAR food, service and experience! We absolutely loved our family style dinner at Travernetta in Denver! We were a party of 8 plus a baby and sat at the chef's table. Clara, the sommelier was very helpful and paired some amazing Italian wines with our meal! She checked on us regularly and was a delight to work with. Freddy was our main server and he hustled around our table all evening, helping us with perfect meal selections to share as a family, from appetizers to pastas to mains and desserts too! He knew the menu inside and out and was key in making our night so enjoyable! The entire staff should be commended! My husband and I went to Tavernetta for St Valentines Day and we were very impressed with the level of service this place has to offer. Our server Caitlin is with the restaurant for about 5 years and was super friendly and professional and very knowledgeable about the menu! Our food was delicious and there was plenty of it! My favorite was the Maine scallop and Cresta di Gallo with black truffle! Our favorite secondi was the venison loin with beetroot, which my husband ordered. Both deserts we got were delicious. My only wish was that they serve that wonderful herb bread warm, not cold. The atmosphere at this restaurant is very sophisticated but cozy and welcoming. This place was recommended to us by a local, so we went based on that and made a reservation. Even with the reservation, we still had to wait about 15 minutes, which was frustrating. Service honestly felt really slow overall. It took a while for our server to come by initially, and even throughout the meal it felt like she took a long time to check on us or even take our order. The food was fine, but nothing to write home about. For the price we paid, it just didn't feel worth it. Drinks were good, but nothing memorable. Considering this came highly recommended and we've explored other spots on our own, I was pretty surprised by the overall experience. Not somewhere I would recommend if I were a local. My favorite dish was the Pesce consisting of a perfectly cooked, delicate Alaskan Black Cod complimented perfectly with the Mokum Carrots lying in Venetian Dukkah. However, I thought the other dishes were a tad bit too salty, especially the Carpaccio. It wasn't as palatable and I would recommend getting the Burrata over it. We brought my in-laws here for a nice dinner and had such a great experience. We originally had a later reservation through their OpenTable system but wanted to come in earlier, so I messaged them there and they responded promptly, accommodating us without any issue. Parking was easy with a nearby garage, and you get $5 off when you validate at the restaurant. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed yet elevated Italian dinner, especially with a small family. It is a popular restaurant with a mix of couples, friends, and business diners, but it never felt overwhelming. We ordered individual dishes and shared everything family-style, following our server's recommendations. To start, Ryan suggested ordering the carpaccio, burrata with focaccia, and crudo together for the full trifecta experience. Each dish is listed individually on the menu, but together they create a well-balanced and intentional start to the meal. Each one complemented the others beautifully. For mains, we ordered a double order of the tagliatelle with Maine lobster, Calabrian chili, preserved tomato, and celery. It was rich yet balanced with just the right amount of heat. We also ordered the branzino, which was perfectly cooked and paired well with the pasta. We added a side of grilled rapini with smoked ricotta and garlic, which ended up being a standout and rounded everything out nicely. Showed up at the door hoping for a seat at the bar or lounge area while my car was parked temporarily at the valet. Super nice and might add, very accommodating host explained that all of the seats are taken and nect one will be a hour away. However, the sister restaurant next door called Sunday Vinyl will open soon and we might be able to get a seat. Went back to the valet, signed in and went back to the Tavernetta and waited there till the other restaurant opened up. That's about 15 minutes to go. While happily waiting, the host told us that he can rearrang current reservation and seat us but need to be done by 6 pm which is still an hour and half to go. We gladly took the offer. He seated us by the fireplace which was perfect on chilly evening. Turned out to be the best table in the restaurant. "Buon appetito!" Our waiter came over right away and introduced himself as Ryan (Hope I got that right) and explained the HH menu and the highlight of the night. He went over the drink menu and I told him that the main reason I was here was to try red wine out of the fancy wine glasses they had. He said HH reds at $9 was served on different glasses. I was bit bummed out but was gonna order whatever necessary to hold on to that wine glasses. However, he, right away said will arrange the HH wine to be served on that wine glass I was after. Bravo! With his recommendation, we got the focaccia bread which was served warm with Olive Oil, Red Wine Vinegar, Grana Padano dipping sauce, Insalata Mista and calamari. I was on the phone and didn't get to finish right away but Ryan checked on us frequently to make sure timing was perfect to bring the pasta we also ordered. Between Ryan and another server, we were very well taken care of, checked often and the table kept super clean. Superb! Once I was done with the salad, the Roman Pasta flight came out. Due to pork allergy, we ended up getting serving of All'amatriciana and Cacio e Pepe. Both were delicious! Overall, definitely a big thumbs up and coming back to try Tagliatelle and Branzino. Tavernetta has been on my list for quite some time, so when a reservation opened up on my birthday I jumped on it. My husband and I started with the focaccia and the capesante (scallops). The focaccia was AMAZING, but I was a little disappointed by the scallops. I'm a big scallop fan and these were slightly overcooked and chewy. But the mains definitely made up for the scallop disappointment. I had the rigatoni while my husband ordered the manzo. Both were very flavorful and his steak was cooked perfectly! To finish the evening, we ordered the tiramisu, which was served differently from other tiramisus I've had but was pretty delicious. Also, as someone who is pregnant, I very much appreciated the mocktails on the menu! I had the Early for the Train and my husband ordered the Total Fascination. Both were very good! read more

Walked in without a wait at 5:30 on a Thursday night. Beautiful, warm ambience with modern decor and an open kitchen. Service was excellent, from our hostess to our server. We felt very cared for. Our server took the time to mark up a menu with dairy-free options for my partner, which was very kind. I started with the capesante (diver scallops). With only 2 scallops, it did feel a little pricey at $14 per scallop. The scallops could have been a bit more tender, but the flavors were nice. I would skip this one if I were to dine here again. I got the pappardelle with guinea hen and chanterelles. I loved this dish. The pasta was very al dente, and all the elements and the pangrattato (breadcrumbs) worked perfectly together. My partner got the manzo (NY strip), without the zabaglione to make it dairy-free. The steak comes medium rare unless otherwise requested, and was nicely cooked. The vegetables from Esoterra were delicious. My partner also enjoyed his drinks, and felt Tavernetta's old fashioned was his favorite so far. I ended the meal with the torta di mele. The cake was interesting and was lightly flavored with a creamy base. The apple and walnut caramel was delicious, especially paired with the thyme gelato. All in all, we had a wonderful experience at Tavernetta and hope to return to Denver soon to dine there again. read more

I've had the chance to dine at Tavernetta on a couple of occasions, and it's consistently excellent. One visit was during a springtime private event with Joe Flamm as the featured chef. He won Top Chef in Denver and was back in town for the evening, which made the experience extra special. He came by a few tables to say hello, and it was genuinely great to see him. I've also dined here when Cody Cheetham was leading the kitchen another incredibly talented chef with serious training and skill. The pasta here is wonderful rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. Service is polished without feeling stuffy, and the room has that warm, classic Tavernetta energy that makes you want to linger. Yes, it's on the pricier side but it's absolutely worth it. We were really excited to try Tavernetta and arrived very hungry, ready for a great experience. We ordered the carpaccio di manzo, focaccia, two risottos, and two short rib pastas. I don't usually like to leave negative reviews, but when you dine at a restaurant of this level--especially in a Four Seasons--you naturally have high expectations. Out of everything we ordered, the carpaccio was the highlight. It was good--pleasant and well-prepared--but not particularly memorable. The risotto, unfortunately, were the most disappointing. The texture was very loose, almost like a cheese soup, and both people who ate them ended up with stomach discomfort afterward. The short rib pasta was decent, enjoyable but not outstanding. As for the focaccia, it wasn't our favorite, but we chose not to return it because the staff was genuinely kind and attentive, and we didn't want to make a scene. I do want to emphasize that the service was excellent. Everyone was warm, professional, and very welcoming throughout the meal. Our disappointment was really with the food itself rather than the hospitality. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. Our server provided recommendations, and the food was timed very well. We did not feel rushed but we never had to wait long. Ambiance: Beautiful restaurant- the decor is warm and elegant without being pretentious. The table settings are really nice and they have definitely put effort into the details. The spacing throughout the restaurant is done very well, it is lively without feeling crowded. The exposed kitchen was an interesting touch. The restaurant is definitely on the bigger side for an Italian place- more like bougie modern Italian. DRINKS: Dirty martini-- a classic dirty martini with Belvedere, the drink was balanced. Served with basic martini olives. Strawberry daiquiri- a more elevated take on a classic drink, this was delicious and refreshing, although a bit on the smaller side FOOD: Focaccia-- freshly baked focaccia bread served with a side of olive oil, grana padano, and a hint of red wine vinegar. This was good, although I wish it had come with a little more of the dip for the amount of bread that we got. Cavatelli-- A dish of fresh cavatelli pasta with a sauce of Sheep's Milk Ricotta, Roasted Broccoli Pesto, and sweet peppers. The sauce was good, but it was quite lemon forward for my personal taste. The pasta was fresh, but was a bit more chewy than I was expecting. Overall it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order it again. Rigatoni-- freshly made rigatoni pasta with a lamb ragu topped with pecorino romano. This was definitely the better of the pasta dishes, with very balanced and hearty flavors. Good portion size, just enough without being excessive. Just an aside, but I was really hoping they would offer freshly grated parmesan and fresh pepper but sadly they did not. Dessert: Affogato-- freshly poured espresso, on top of honey gelato, served with an almond biscotti. The honey gelato was stunning, however the espresso was definitely more on the bitter side. I love affogatos and this honestly was just not my favorite. Tiramisu-- this was quite delicious. Really well balanced- sweet but not too rich I really, really wanted to love Tavernetta going in. This place is overhyped and overpriced in my opinion. I ordered the lobster tagliatelle, which was nothing special and lacked flavor. I was also disappointed by the service - despite having a reservation for one, I waited about 20 minutes to be seated. There's no waiting area, so a large group of people were crowded around the entrance. After my food was served, I didn't see my server for another 20 minutes, which made paying take a while. On top of an already overpriced menu, there's an additional health and wellness 2.5% added to all bills. I support providing benefits for employees but would rather see this reflected in menu prices than extra fees at the end of the meal. The food obviously is delicious, but it unfortunately is the type of place you are hungry 1 hour later. But I feel that's most fancy restaurants. I got the scallops appetizer and salad. Both were tasty, the scallops only come with two, so everything on the menu as a word of caution is very expensive for portions but the level of detail is on point. Also got the squash pasta and fish and it was delicious. I'd say flavor was just incredible. Wow! What a great place to celebrate my birthday! Server was super knowledgeable on their dishes. I would go back just for their Baratta. Super creamy, excellent flavor, first time I had it and I loved it!! The focaccia bread was a bit too dense for me, but still great with the barratta. We had the pasta dishes: rigatoni, baked pasta, the spring gnocchi, and the gluten free spiral pasta (see the pics for the menu names). Side: cauliflower. All were super delicious but I liked the rigatoni the best. We got a birthday strawberry and rhubarb sherbet which I enjoyed as a nice light finish. Loved walking by the kitchen to our table. The service was excellent in both the lounge and the dining room. The food was good but not great and we felt the portions of food were incredibly disappointing, especially considering the price. In the lounge we got the ROBIOLA E FRUTTA on the Happy Hour menu which was literally a dime size serving of soft cheese and a dime size serving of fruit jam. No cracker even to eat it with. Definitely not worth the $10 price. For dinner we got 2 specials which were tasty but if we had not also gotten sides we would have walked out hungry. So for 2 cocktails each, a couple of very small appetizers, 2 very small main dishes, 2 sides and one dessert we spent $250. We tried it once but will likely not return. read more

Came here for my birthday dinner with a big group of friends. We made the reservation a little over a week in advance, for 10 people on a Sunday night. They had us slated to sit at the chef's table, a high top that seats 10. Throughout the week, I was unsure if our group would actually be 11 people, and the restaurant said they would not be able to fit another person at this table as there are no more chairs like that in the house. They mentioned a private dining room, which has a preset spend minimum and other fees, but we really wanted to avoid that. Finally, the day before, I called and told them that we would unfortunately have to cancel if we were not able to have the bigger table, and the staff was so nice, the manager approved us using this event room without the party fees, since it was not booked. In the end, not everybody was able to make it so we ended up as a group of 10 and sat at our original table, but I really appreciate the restaurant's flexibility. On the night of, I arrived a little late, and the group was already having drinks, the server was very attentive, constantly bringing refills for water and giving us the full rundown of the menu answering all our questions. Collectively, we've tried at least half the items on the menu. I started with a nitro espresso martini, literal perfection. Made with all the right ingredients and just the right flavor. I shared the beef carpaccio, the burrata and the focaccia appetizers with my friend Genuinely this was the best beef carpaccio I've ever had, and the Barata was also amazing, everything about it, and the fresh soft focaccia went perfectly with each other, I love the chunky tomato sauce and basil that the burrata was garnished with, just layered perfectly with the focaccia for a balanced bite We shared both the Lamb rigatoni and seasonal baked pasta. The Lamb rigatoni was good, but nothing to ride home about as compared to other versions of the dish I've had over the years. The seasonal baked pasta was a corn based pasta, garnished with cherry tomatoes and herbs. It was also yummy, but nothing crazy and for the price, could have offered a protein. I didn't love that The restaurant doesn't do protein options à la carte to add onto a pasta. The restaurant was really nice to offer us some free cups of gelato, one of which was melon flavored and the other was honey flavored. Super unique and delicious. We also tried the tiramisu which was just the right amount of sweetness and balanced to finish the meal. I have been hearing about this place and wanted to eat here for a while, I'm glad I got this experience in, I would definitely come back when they change the menu again to try something new -- currently they don't have a single pasta on the menu that is serve served with a creamy sauce, which is generally my favorite indulgence when I eat Italian. I have so little words for the absolutely perfect experience we had here a few days ago. Our waitress was so attentive and helped me through ingredients to ensure I could eat or drink whatever made sense while pregnant. She knew everything and had alternatives to offer. We did the burrata and focaccia and we could have sat there all night eating just that. This was the freshest most flavorful burrata I've ever had and the focaccia was fluffy and perfection with the burrata on top (and with just olive oil). I knew we were in for a treat when the appetizers were that delicious. we got the lamb rigatoni and the special pasta for the night as our main courses. The special pasta was so good and had we not gotten the lamb rigatoni, it would've absolutely blew our mind. Then we tried the lamb rigatoni and we're just dying. It was so creamy and flavorful and I don't even know how to describe how perfect it was. To have both of our main courses absolutely knocked out of the park, we knew we were in for a treat at dessert. Don't worry, the food is perfectly portioned through the courses as well so you actually have just enough room for dessert. The tiramisu was best we've ever had in our lives even after traveling Italy for a few weeks. It is a MUST BUY. The semifreddo was also extraordinary. If you love hazelnut, creamy and caramel crispy, GET THIS. We also got the honey gelato but in all honesty, we could've lived without it. So many people raved in reviews which is why we got it, but I couldn't believe anyone would put it on same pedestal as the rest of the menu including desserts. We've been wanting to dine here for ages, and we finally made it for dinner. The ambiance is dimly lit, cozy, and minimalist. We started with burrata and focaccia bread - the focaccia was incredibly soft and warm. I ordered the triangola, a four-cheese stuffed pasta with lemon. I love a hint of lemon in my pasta, and this dish was refreshingly bright. My husband had the gnocchi with mushrooms, which was also good, though both pastas were quite cheese-heavy. Food delicious. Service impecable - there were 6 different people that were a part of the table service. Fun, open atmosphere - really cool to see the open kitchen and their work flow. It's a well oiled machine. Everything was delicious and beautiful but the downside is portion size. Except the branzino, that's a niceeeee portion.
