I have been here a few times now and this is one of my favorites in Denver. I've had the chefs tasting menu and I've tried most of the dishes recently. This is my favorite bolognese in Denver. Lovely atmosphere and a great date spot. Always a lovey time here at Olivia. Especially post renovation. I used inKind the last time I was in and was surprised they used it. Made me love this place even more.

I've been so eager to try this spot and it did not disappoint! It was one of the top three meals I've had in the city - the dishes were lovely, but the service blew me away! I went with a foodie friend - we each had a cocktail and split two appetizers, two entrees, and an order of tiramisu for dessert. As far as apps go, the chopped salad and focaccia were the crowd-pleasers. I'm still dreaming of the focaccia and sweet butter. Our two pasta entrees were delish - we both enjoyed the truffle gem more than the caramelized onion ravioli (but thought both were very tasty!). We had a complimentary palette cleanser and then embraced the tiramisu (very unique twist on a classic dessert). Throughout our meal, our server appropriately checked in and was very laid back (we very much appreciated her demeanor in a fine dining venue - she was so down-to-earth and had phenomenal recommendations!). Other staff members were quick to fold our napkins to ensure we felt cared for. I'd happily go back!

Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Taste: 5/5 (everything delicious) Portions: 4/5 (pasta sizes GREAT but could have used more bread.... Cus it's rare to have GF bread ‍) Options: 4/5 (would have loved more meat options. The coursed dinner had meat dishes but otherwise minimal options) GF opinions: GF focaccia was delish, maybe a little on the oily side but this such a treat. GF tagliatelle was superb - it had the right thickness/structure/bite to it, able to soak up the sauce just right! Dessert (tiramisu): 4/5 - highlight that it was GF but the crunchy stuff on top didn't fit a tiramisu. And the marscapone was a little thinner than a traditional tiramisu and there could have been more of that espresso bite. (I love tiramisu so anytime I can find it GF, I must try it and I'll say I've had a few better ) Overall: 5/5, awesome to have so many GF options but will keep this as a "treat" restaurant for the options per price.

Went for a date night/late anniversary present for us both and we were delighted. Did the tasting menu and grabbed a bottle of wine as well. The evening felt special, though with tight seating, wasn't as intimate I would've wanted for the price we paid. Service was as expected for this kind of restaurant, bring new silverware for each dish and wiping the table in between.

This restaurant is Michelin rated so of course I had to go try it. I came to Olivia with high expectations but unfortunately, it didn't quite deliver. The meal was fine, but nothing about it stood out or felt particularly memorable, which was disappointing at this level. The French onion ravioli had a nice flavor, but I found myself wishing it leaned more into the "soup" aspect to really bring it to life. That being said, it was also very unique and I did enjoy the complexity of it. The chopped salad and burrata were both good, but pretty standard. I do have to say though, the burrata was different than any burrata I've ever had and was not with tomatoes which is what I'm used to. These were good, not bad by any means, just not memorable. The highlight of the night was definitely the huckleberry cheesecake which was rich, balanced. Overall, I left feeling underwhelmed. It wasn't a bad experience, just not one I'm in a hurry to repeat. I do have to give this restaurant points on their uniqueness on their dishes. I'm not quite sure about the Michelin recognition but might have to come back to give it another try.

This Italian restaurant is amazing!! It's pricey but reasonably so. All the apps & entrees were amazing. The service was informative and attentive! The place was cozy & high class. I loved it & highly recommend. The gluten free pasta was a hit!!

Restaurant Olivia was the first Italian restaurant we had when we moved to Denver and we were not disappointed. We started off with the Chopped Salad which I appreciated that they split into two plates for my husband and I. After that, we got the burrata, I liked that it was made with pistachios! My husband got the Mezzaluna and I got the Tagliatelle. Both dishes were great, you could tell they were made from very fresh ingredients. The pasta was perfectly al dente and chewy. I appreciated that there were several non alcoholic drink options. I got the Moderate Mule and loved the hibiscus flavor! My husband got the Old Fashion which also had a hibiscus note and was tasty. I also liked that there were actual hand towels in the restrooms, a nice little touch. Our server was great - we were too dull for dessert but he gave us two take home and bake cookies. We enjoyed our dinner at Restaurant Olivia and will be sure to come back.

After seeing a menu with fresh gluten-free faccacia and pasta we were intrigued. When we found it fully booked weeks out we had to give it a go. We couldn't get reservations, but we found they have 8 first come first serve bar seats. The bar is a bit tight, but if you don't mind you might slip in for a dinner. Olivia has an intimate modern vibe with attentive service. The menu is designed to support multi course tastings. My gluten-free wife really enjoyed the ability to have many gf options across the spectrum. She usually has to watch everyone else get bread and butter. This time she had her own. The food was delicious and presented well. Overall a very pleasant dinning experience. The bill suggested they knew they were booked out and had a loyal following. I can respect the need to turn a profit but as much as we liked Olivia, it was quite expensive for pasta, and even more for their gf pasta. Otherwise I can understand why they get a lot of 5 stars. It's worth a visit. Their execution won't disappoint.

Great food and the service is to be expected. Great place to go if you are very into Italian.

The service at this restaurant was fantastic, and I loved how spacious it felt in the room where we were seated. We did the tasting menu, and I appreciated that there wasn't an overlap between that and the a la carte options - it gave us more reasons to come back. We opened strong with incredibly delicious bread and butter for the table. The first course, the fried dough with mortadella, was good but felt like it was missing something to make the whole thing less dry (a cheese, maybe?). I really enjoyed the ravioli with potato and egg yolk filling in a beet sauce - it was rich and comforting. The tortellini in the third course were good, but the consomme was way too salty for me. I tried my family's tagliatelle for that course, and it was wonderful, though - definitely the star of the two options. The main course with the bison melted in your mouth, and I loved the contrast of that with the crunchy chips and the celery root. The hazelnut gelato for dessert was absolutely heavenly! Overall, it was creative and delicious - I'm glad I came! We all left full (but not painfully so) and happy. The pacing was perfect and didn't feel rushed, and the complimentary bread here is really, really good. Worth a return trip for sure!

Yummiest pasta I've had since moving to Denver, and I LOVE pasta. The green color of the Gemelli kind of threw me off but it was so good. The focaccia and goat cheese was decent, would try the burrata next time. Chopped salad is a salad I'll be trying to remake 100%. Service was lovely. Entree took a while to come out but they communicated that well. Will definitely be back, sad the reservation wait is so long!

    Lindsay D.

Came here for dinner last night. Was sat at the bar as I did not have a reservations. Ordered the Mushroom Pate, Mafaldine, Gemelli, Peach Crumble Cheesecake. The mushroom pate and dessert were delicious. The mafaldine was good but not spectacular. I do want to mention. I felt like me n my guest were kind of ignored and treated differently than everyone else sitting in the bar. Barely spoken to. And the guy serving bringing everyone's food out did not bring our food out. Just felt off, or even a pinch of discrimination. Just saying how I feel because I don't think this is acceptable behavior anywhere but maybe that's how this state treats its guests. Ambiance not much from the bar although the dining area did seem nice.

Food was different , if you like mom and pop Italian food then this unique Italian food wouldn't be your cup of tea. Was an elevated experience to what I know about Italian food. Very elegant and surprising ! Service was fantastic! And ambiance very elegant and luxurious!

Considering the only other US location is in California, I was surprised and knew this would be my opportunity to try it! The aesthetic is modern & elevated with Japanese wooden features. I got 3 classic dishes which was just the right amount of food. I honestly recommend coming with a group to try more items since you know everything will be delicious. The Yellowtail Jalapeño is a signature dish; the yellowtail was delicate & buttery and the citrus soy with the bight of jalapeño made each bite clean, bright, with some subtle heat. I did not expect the Rock Shrimp Tempura to be that good! The shrimp was lightly battered & fried but the sauces were the highlights! Their creamy spicy is a very well-done spicy mayo but the butter ponzu was unreal! Super addictive, rich, and unlike any sauce I've had before. Shout out to my waitress for suggesting getting both sauces on the side rather than lathered on the shrimp, which also kept it crispy. Last but certainly not least is the famous Black Cod! The fish is super buttery and flaky; there were some caramelized edges from the miso glaze which added so much depth & richness to the bite. It's a good balance of sweetness, savoriness, umami that is bound to be good. They're confident because they've been made well for a long time. You might occasionally reach for something flashier, but when you want polish and assurance, they're hard to beat. That feeling defined a recent dinner at Barolo Grill, where I sat at the bar and ordered the degustazione menu. My relationship with Barolo Grill goes back more than a decade. Thirteen years ago I brought my wife here on one of our early dates. Later, when my father passed away, friends brought us here to celebrate his life. During the pandemic, when restaurants were fighting to survive, Barolo packed up meals and wine and handed them out curbside, and many of us showed up to support them. In between those moments have been countless dinners, after-dinner drinks, and long conversations at the bar. Tonight marked another moment: a birthday and the beginning of a new chapter in my life. That's the rare thing about a place like Barolo Grill. Restaurants come and go, but a few weave themselves into the arc of a person's life. Barolo has done that for me. The meal opened with Carpaccio di Bufalo, thinly sliced Colorado buffalo with bagna cauda and buffalo mozzarella. It was exceptional. Carpaccio succeeds or fails on three things: the meat, the olive oil, and the salt. Here, all three were perfect. Next came the gorgonzola "soufflé" with orange and walnuts. Delicious, though the texture leaned closer to a sformato than a classical airy soufflé. The orange brightened the richness beautifully. The spinach gnocchi were the one miss of the evening - gummy and lacking flavor. I sent them back. The kitchen responded immediately and moved me to the next course without hesitation, exactly the kind of professional recovery good restaurants manage instinctively. What followed became the standout dish: tortellini ai funghi in mushroom brodo with shaved truffle. The broth was extraordinary - clear and deeply savory. Pickled beech mushrooms added a subtle sweetness and acidity that lifted the dish. Great broth is rare because nothing hides in it. This one showed confidence and restraint. The main course, Agnello, delivered beautifully. A grilled Colorado lamb chop sat on creamy stone-ground polenta with mint-basil pesto and a tomato-olive-cucumber relish. The lamb tasted unmistakably of lamb - rich and clean. The polenta added comfort while the relish provided brightness. Each bite moved through fat, cream, herb, acid. Dessert was a Castelmagno cheesecake with lavender honey and toasted hazelnuts, lighter and silkier than an American cheesecake. An espresso alongside it completed the meal in the most perfect way possible. Recently I had dinner at Alma Fonda Fina. The two restaurants represent very different philosophies. Alma pushes the experience forward with energy and excitement. Barolo Grill is something else entirely: refined, confident, timeless. Like those Ferragamo loafers, it may not always be the boldest choice - but it's one you return to again and again. And sometimes, that's exactly what you want.

The abrasive rude nature of the hostess ruined the first experience I had inside the restaurant and it took me quite a while to shake it off.
