Fun place if you're craving Italian. Our server had lots of recommendations and was very knowledgeable of the menu and quality of the food. The dishes were affordable but also the portions are quite small. The drinks were great! Also the vibes and aesthetics are great.

Came back for lunch. It's been a few weeks and happy to see improvement across the board. The spinach salad with seafood (shrimp and scallops) was very good. Also ordered a side of gluten free bread, also well done. We ordered a pizza and asked for only vegetables (tomatoes, zucchini, onions, mushrooms)...GF crust, all very good. While I am generally not a fan of GF pizza crust this one was good, more cracker like but the rest of the toppings made up for the crust. Ambiance and hospitality are excellent. Happy to see an improvements and that they are doing well as the neighborhood seems to really appreciate them.

We had an amazing experience! Our first time at La Vietta and we'll definitely be back again. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly and gave us great suggestions on what to try. The restaurant has a mix of tables, booths and outdoor seating and is nicely decorated. All the food was beautifully presented and extremely well done. The recipes were unique takes on some traditional dishes very well done. Our favorites were the breadsticks, the carpaccio, the branzino and the pistachio panna cotta. But you can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. We had reservations but went during a weekday for happy hour and dinner which was great as we tried some items on the happy hour menu as well as dinner. Highly recommend trying La Vietta!

Gosh, where to begin? We received wonderful service from Rudolph, he really took cared of us. The antipasti came out at a decent time but the pasta took awhile to get prepared. The restaurant was busy on a Thursday evening, most of the table were full. The portion sizes are good, not quite American size but definitely bigger than Italian size to me. We ordered the artichoke, arugula salad, grilled romaine lettuce, lasagna, linguine alla vongole, lobster ravioli and risotto al frutti de mare.... A basket of grilled ciabatta. All in all I really enjoyed my lasagna, the pasta sheets were thin but with a good chew, the bechamel so creamy, the bolognese was meaty and flavorful. The manager came and checked on us, just overall amazing vibe and such a cute spot to have such a great dining experience - really took me back to Italy with all the yummy food. Rudolph even helped de-shell the clams and mussels in our seafood dishes, I don't think I've had that experience ever and I've had vongole in Florence just a couple of years ago. Definitely planning to come back w the family and know they have validated parking, not the parking garage but the open parking a little further down. It was a nice walk to the restaurant and I want to come back and try their secondi next time. I feel their pricing is very reasonable - and the tiramisu was so delicious! Thanks for taking care of us Rudolph! We really appreciate you!

What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! From the moment you walk in, it feels like you've been transported to Sardinia on a warm summer evening. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and effortlessly authentic. Do yourself a favor and order the vongole, the little clams are incredibly fresh, and the white wine sauce is absolutely delicious. I paired it with a glass of Soave, "The Corona of Verona," and it was the perfect match. Make sure you have some bread to soak up every last bite! This is the kind of neighborhood Italian spot you'll find yourself coming back to again and again.

Great new restaurant and while there's lots of Italian restaurants in Denver, it seems unqiue in its classification as a "trattoria" offering quality dishes. They have a covered outdoor seating area and fairly spacious indoor seating as well. Their prices are very fair compared to other places in Denver. There's not too many spots where you can get a $3 bread basket (although it's very standard bread). The lasagna is easily one of the best I've had. Their mahi mani was slightly overcooked but had the perfect lemon zest and artichoke spread and I loved the onions. It also came with pearls which I would have preferred if they were crispy. For dessert we had their unique take on a panna cotta which came in a bar shape with a chocolate and pistachio layer. I'm normally not a panna cotta fan but loved this dish. Our server was friendly and informative but didn't refill our water as much as we would have hoped. Bonus: they validate parking at the 1720 Platte St lot. You don't pay at the lot but instead scan the QR code at the front of the restaurant and register your license plate using their code that voids the cost.

I have been hearing about this place through several viral videos and was excited to bring my mom here. It isn't too crazy yet and we were able to get a table on a Saturday night for two people at around 8:30. Things were going very well, our server I believe his name was Mateo was very knowledgeable about all of the items and ingredients and preparations. He made good recommendations, we started with the little gem appetizer and the bread and burrata. We then put in our food order as the salad came out. The bread and the salad arrived, but the burrata never came and neither was our food. After so much time had gone by we asked about it, and they mentioned their Wi-Fi and their entire system shut down but that they have just put in my order by hand. At this point it had already been 45 minutes since we ordered, but we waited. 10 minutes later, our actual server came over and said that he just put in our food... anyways it really didn't come out more than an hour later, i had just called someone over and asked them just to cancel it-- then they walked out with the plates. The food was still really good and even though a delay like that could be avoided by using pen and paper the old-school way in that situation, they were really nice about it, at the end, one of the owners even offered to comp some of our check. I'll be giving it another shot, especially since there were multiple dishes on the menu I wanted to try

When I learned that the owner of one of my favorite former Italian restaurants in Denver had opened a new spot in Commons Park I sprinted to get a reservation! Didn't have time for dinner this visit so we decided to do their aperitivo hour! It was fabulous! It was so exciting to see the place, packed and buzzing. Even the patio was busy filled with clinking glasses and people laughing! We sat at the bar with one of my favorite bartenders in Denver, Kenny, who makes arguably the best espresso martini in town and a mean dirty martini! We ordered almost everything on the food menu and it was lovely! I cannot wait to go back for dinner!

Complementary breadsticks

I absolutely loved the food and atmosphere, so will definitely be back. Best Italian food I've had in Denver so far and the service was amazing. We ordered the pesto gnocchi and the lobster ravioli to share and loved both. The gnocchi were hot and had a perfect texture. The pesto and red sauce on both dishes were so original and flavorful. They brought out some complementary breadsticks as soon as we sat down. We also had the aperol and grapefruit spritz and both were perfect. We don't usually get a dessert, but I just knew the tiramisu would be good, so we went for it and it so glad we did. It was a 10/10. The owner was so sweet and stopped by our table to check on us during the meal. I came to eat here with my sister before a concert and it's located in a cute area right along the river. We had a great time and it was nice to walk from there to ball arena for the concert after dinner.

The service was outstanding, the food was perfection, it was the perfect way to be welcomed to Denver on our very first night. The owner went out of his way to accommodate us and it was very much appreciated. One of our best dining experiences ever.

Thoughts from my first time at La Vietta: delicious, authentic food, genuine Italian trattoria ambiance, caring service, lively the music, and THAT bar! This is Denver's newest gem, and I can't wait to go back. To Marco and the team: Saluti e ben fatto!

Shout to the team for having our table ready when we got there even though it was very busy that day. We started off with the Fall Salad and I think it was one of my favorite things we ordered. I had no idea beets can be that delicious! After that, everything else came out: roasted carrots, barramundi, and wagyu flank steak. They also put in an order or pommes frites (French fries) on accident and decided to give it to us on the house. Thanks! The roasted carrots were really good and sweet. You could tell they were quality carrots. The barramundi was another one of my favorites. I'm a fan of fish and they did an excellent job of cooking the barramundi with a great sauce(?) that tasted great with it. I found the wagyu steak flank overcooked and really salty which was disappointing given the price. The pommes frites were cooked well but also extremely salty. Overall, I would recommend Sunday Vinyl if you are trying to take someone to a place that is unique and don't mind paying a bit extra. It is a bit loud in there (we had to raise our voices a bit to hold a conversation) but it is also a vinyl place so you would expect them to show off their music.

Parking in the area is pretty rough, street parking only and there are other businesses sharing the area. We arrived at seven and were told it was around a 45 minute wait. We passed the time by getting a drink at a bar nearby and walked over when it was our turn. It was about 50° outside and they were trying to seat us outside on the patio when we arrived (no heat lamps). So we waited another 15 minutes for an indoor table. Finally, we were sat and starving by this point, so we immediately ordered a pizza and pasta and some wine. The food took forever. Finally, we asked about it and our server told us the pasta would be right out but that generally they tell people to expect a one hour wait on pizzas even after you've sat down and ordered. The pasta was good, I got the seasonal saccotini. I would have loved if it had a protein to make it a little more filling since the dish wasn't very large. We also tried the seasonal pizza. I believe it had butternut squash and beef topping. It was also really good, but still missing something, I think a sauce. Having a little tomato sauce underneath the cheese layer would have really elevated it. Next time I'll probably go with an original margarita pizza, looking around at the room they looked like the most delicious option The food is pretty good, but unless you have a reservation, I would try to avoid coming in super hungry

Because we couldn't get a reservation for dinner, we targeted an earlier arrival time in order to get a table, which didn't prove to be too much of a problem. The indoor seating area and bar is cozy, and there were a handful of outdoor tables that we made use of in order to enjoy the weather. There was some confusion over the 'order your drink at the bar' protocol, which was intended to apply to the first drink (i guess only for the first of our crew), and I mistakenly went to the counter to place my order given what was relayed. We were visited by a couple of servers thereafter, and placed an order for a sampling of items. We started with the Broccolini (mingle portion), and that was tasty, but also the stems were still quite toothsome, so a bit tough and awkward to chew. We then ordered single sizes of a few pasta dishes to share, including the Bucatini Primavera (adding bacon was recommended), the Pimento Cheese Agnolotti, and the Gyros Cavatelli. My favorite was probably the agnolotti, though the portion size did not go very far. The Gyros Cavatelli, which came with yogurt mixed over everything was a miss for me. I think the flavors were roughly what you would expect, but texturally and visually it was less than ideal. We closed with a Carrot Parsnip Cake, which was one creative play that did pay off. While it wasn't a bad time, there were a few factors that left me unsatisfied. I'm a pasta girl through and through, and nothing here really wow'ed me, or proved to scratch that comfort food itch...at least any better than I could do at home. The other issue for me was the restaurant seemed to be targeting casual vibes, but with a price tag that didn't align. Our dinner, which wasn't particularly filling, cost us about $100/person with a drink or two. Food was served on plastic plates, which is a real turnoff as is, but the plates were also too small, which made it hard to eat or share without knocking things off onto the table. It felt unnecessarily clumsy. To be fair, my dinner partners enjoyed things a bit more than I did, but I wouldn't make a point of returning personally.

For me this place shines first and foremost because the cocktails are not only creative and unique but strong and fulfilling. The Corn Sour cocktail for instance is one of those that I am seeking to recreate at home due to the marvelous aroma of the tortilla from the tortilla salt garnished on top and the excellent application of the elote mezcal. But with regard to the food there are several intricacies of the dishes that signal authenticity and generally make them more memorable. For instance the Burrita de Guisado I thought was most memorable because it reminds me of guisado I've actually had in Mexico. The sea urchin aguachile is unique since I've never seen an uni aguachile before, and it was well executed due to the genius pairing of the mandarin and the erizo, which I learned on that day are flavor buddies... not to mention the extra kick you get from the chile seco oil. We had a lot of dishes here, those two examples were the most memorable but each dish offers something worthwhile. I think the reservations are slightly easier to get here and it also seems easier to just walk in after a short wait, so I'd recommend that anyone that wants to try Alma but needs to wait 6 months for a reservation actually comes here in the meantime because worst case scenario it's at the same level but I personally feel like it's better. Is it a Michelin Star-worthy restaurant though? No, not in my book. It doesn't have a special occasion vibe which is mostly why I think that. Definitely worthy of Michelin Guide (e.g. bib) status though.

I pulled up Cask and Craft's website and was super happy to see the list of precautions they are taking to keep their customers safe. Some of these precautions include only 2 people in the shop at a time, use provided hand sanitizer when you enter, and even curbside pick up/delivery. Since I was sitting in front of the store, I figured I'd just go in, get what I needed, and quickly head home. I was greeted and asked to use the hand sanitizer upon entering - yes, thank you. I then explained from a distance that I was looking for a dark beer, preferably a stout. I was escorted to the back of the store and shown the fridge with all the dark beer. WOW! big selection. I had the choice of 6 packs, 4 packs, or mix and match. This was perfect for me because I needed 5 beers. I ended up selecting Jackie O's Java the Stout. When I brought up my 5 pack, the owner told me it was a great beer (one of his favorite dark beers) and that it was a solid choice. He was not wrong. This beer is awesome, and paired so well with my peanut butter cookie pairing. So good. I will definitely be back to Cask and Craft.
