My girlfriend and I recently went to Sunday Vinyl for dinner during the weekend. I made a reservation and we got to our seats very quickly. Shout to the team for having our table ready when we got there even though it was very busy that day. We started off with the Fall Salad and I think it was one of my favorite things we ordered. I had no idea beets can be that delicious! After that, everything else came out: roasted carrots, barramundi, and wagyu flank steak. They also put in an order or pommes frites (French fries) on accident and decided to give it to us on the house. Thanks! The roasted carrots were really good and sweet. You could tell they were quality carrots. The barramundi was another one of my favorites. I'm a fan of fish and they did an excellent job of cooking the barramundi with a great sauce(?) that tasted great with it. I found the wagyu steak flank overcooked and really salty which was disappointing given the price. The pommes frites were cooked well but also extremely salty. Overall, I would recommend Sunday Vinyl if you are trying to take someone to a place that is unique and don't mind paying a bit extra. It is a bit loud in there (we had to raise our voices a bit to hold a conversation) but it is also a vinyl place so you would expect them to show off their music. read more

Had to try Sunday Vinyl before they close at the end of the month, and I was so glad I did. I'm sad I won't be able to dine here again, the music, service and food were excellent. The Mccaviar was so good, I never thought of pairing lebneh with caviar and now I think I'll have to replicate this at home. The drinks were delicious as well. I wish I got photos of everything as everything was presented so lovely. Shout out to our server Taylor, she was a joy. Maybe once it reopens in Boulder I'll take the drive to visit again. read more

We stayed in Denver for a week and this was the highlight of our trip food-wise. The staff was super friendly. The atmosphere was super cozy and chill. The drinks were hitting. The food was seasoned very well and we were so sad to not have this be a local staple near us!! Coming from the Philippines, I missed Peri peri and the chicane here reminded me of home. So full disclosure I did not end up getting a drink here but: I wandered inside while waiting for my table at tavernetta which is the sister restaurant across the walkway from this one. The staff at Tavernetta told me I could get a drink and hang out, so I popped in. The vibe is really nice, it's upscale - would be v cute for a night out or a date. The menu wasn't huge (particularly the happy hour) and drinks were a little high which is why I opted against getting anything, but this would be an excellent spot to spend a little time and grab a refresher esp if hanging out waiting for your ride/the train/a reservation like I was ;) overall would check out this spot again~~ read more

Seeing that this restaurant was nominated for a James Beard Award and checking out their vibe online, I knew my wife and I had to try it on our visit. I loved the atmosphere right away, giving a quality fine dining experience paired with a great music playlist (this particular playlist heavily featured Lauryn Hill and Little Simz . Please put it on your Spotify profile!). I enjoyed that the music was loud enough to enjoy but not so loud you have to shout to hear each other. I had the Guilty Pleasures cocktail and it was easily the best cocktail I had in Denver all weekend so I couldn't have it just once. The Croquettes were insanely good and I loved the Gnocchi Parisienne. Outstanding flavor! My wife had the Al Pastor chicken and she didn't want it to end. The staff was very nice and helpful as well. This place comes loaded with expectations, It was really distinct from its sister restaurants, but it was outstanding. We were happy to get to try the Sunday Mixtape, a prix fixe offering. The appetizer was a creative jamon with leeks, the main a solid & well prepared steak frites, and the dessert a summer farewell peach creme brulee. Each course thoughtfully paired with an outstanding wine, which was very well presented. It was a smaller space than I expected, very modern, and of course a focus on the music. Our last dinner during our stay in Denver was at Sunday Vinyl, a fashionable and modern spot where our senses were tantalized by luscious cuisine, piquant cocktails, and an excellent sound system playing a ton of funk and R&B vinyl records, especially by Prince. The vibes were spot on from the moment we walked into the white interior bar and dining room area with black wood flourishes, a vinyl-shaped bar counter, an extensive array of records, and post-modern artwork hanging from the walls. I was very impressed with their sound system and standing speakers at the back of the restaurant, with a large photo of Stevie Wonder hanging above it. I relished the classic tunes and great company from my wife and friends as we enjoyed wine, small bites, and our mains. For my money, the Iberico Pork Secreto was divine and satiating, especially with the Piquillo Pepper Puree and Sherry Gastrique. It was magical and savory, tasting like sliced flank steak. It was tantalizingly delicious, and I savored it to the last bite--a definite show-stopper. The lamb tartare was titillating with the Feta, Za'atar, and Lavash. Cocktails like the Phantom Lover were incredibly crushable between the Gin, Blueberry, Lavender, Lemon, and Egg White. The Fatal Attraction, consisting of Mezcal, Campari, Lemon, Orange Cordial, and Cranberry, was also delightful. Their wine program was especially impressive. I managed to locate a delicious bottle of Pinot Noir for under $150 from an appellation in the Burgundy region of France I hadn't heard of before. The Ladoix appellation is home to Vincent Legou's vineyards, whose 2021 Pinot Noir release was piquant, and everyone at the table adored immensely. read more

Had dinner here the other night. What a cool place. They play vinyl records the whole time. I didn't know any of the music but I really liked all of it. They also have theme nights. Recently they did a Cher night. We started off with the croquettes. They were really good with a delicious sauce. For dinner we tried the pork secreto and the black cod. Both were delicious. The black cod was buttery and delicious. It was served with root vegetables that were so tasty! The pork was so flavorful and had a nice char on it. I loved it. We also got a side of the mokum carrots. They were really good. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse. It was fabulous. They have a wide variety of wine that they serve by the glass. I had a red blend that I really liked. I don't think you would find a bad wine here if you tried. Service was top notch want one of the chefs, Bruno, came out to talk to us and tell us a little about the food. He was so nice and his food was delicious. I visit Denver several times a year for work, and while I typically stay near Union Station, I wasn't aware of Sunday Vinyl until someone at my hotel suggested it. Amazing vibe- very relaxed, with vinyl-only playlists curated each night. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was very attentive and helpful. The wine list, even by the glass was unexpectedly good, and I enjoyed by French sav blanc very much. And the food was fantastic- the beet and arugula salad was well executed, as was the duck pate. But the real winner was the pork secreto- gorgeously cooked and in a vibrant sauce. I'll visit again next time I'm in Denver. read more

A fun place with a great line up of food options. I had an opportunity to meet the chef and experience one of his 5 course meals. There were several memorable dishes. The appetizer of an anchovy (not at all salty) over a chickpea cracker was exceptional. The red and yellow beet (beat--get it) salad was well made, farm fresh. The Parisienne Gnocchi was out of this world delicious, light and fluffy, bursting with flavor. It would have been better if serve a bit warmer. The Ibérica Pork was disappointing, not warm and quite chewy, tough. Desert was a Pumpkin Cake that was very light and moist. Sunday Vinyl has an impressive sound system. This is a great restaurant we loved all the food! The chicken was especially our favorite. Definitely the most delicious chicken I've ever had and was so juicy. The duck gougers were also really delicious and rich. The milk bread with butter was the perfect amount for two and were also so delicious right out of the oven. The steak tartare was so unique with the trout roe and is my favorite preparation of steak tartare. The risotto was really great but I've had such great risotto in the past that it wasn't the best risotto ever. The dessert was really great as well but I definitely miss the ice cream inside, the mousse was great though. The high moon drink was a great martini if you like strong martinis. The blueberry sour was also so good. We also had the mount Eden Chardonnay which was a great wine. The service was great and very welcoming. The bathrooms were also very clean. We had a 24 hour stay in Denver and was pleasantly surprised that it was Restaurant Week there. My husband, 12 yo and 7 yo were quickly seated to their Prix Fixe menu. I ordered the salad, mushroom gnocchi, and the carrot cake for dessert while my husband ordered the croquette, cod, and sorbet. The staff were so accommodating to our kids who do like good food and both ordered the cod and chicken as their mains. They were fantastic and grateful to have had a memorable experience here. The restaurant is hip and perfect for a two people hang or a date. The music was well selected and it created a great vibe! The food was top tier. We order many items but the heritage chicken was the star of the show. So flavorful, juicy, and those cucumbers! The almond financier was light but filling. Such great flavor too! After having absolute blast at the Happy Hour at Tavernetta, we were told about 2 other restaurants run by the same James Beard award winning group... So of course we were sold! One of those restaurants was Sunday Vinyl. It's definitely got a hipster vibe, but I am into it. They definitely do a lot more experimental things here, things they might not bring to the other restaurants. We were here when they did a Vietnamese takeover - They had Vietnamese inspired dishes! I LOVED EVERYTHING! The "sweetbreads" were really tasty, and well IFYKYK... I love hamachi crudo and their take was so good! The "leche de tigre" (as I was told to call it by Peruvians! lol) was so tasty, I drank it like soup. LOL, I am fancy like that. The hamachi collars were also ridiculously good, but my fav thing was probably the pork steak. So yum! Good place to be sure, but not outstanding in my opinion. The ambiance and music system is very cool. The food I thought fell a tad short of the price tag, but was good nonetheless. The duck patte fellas were good, but cold (intentionally, this was not the restaurants mistake), which wasn't for me. I also thought the potato pave things could have been better. But the wagyu steak was very good, and the mushrooms that accompanied it were OUTSTANDING. The mushrooms were the best thing. The salmon was also cooked to perfection. Risotto I could take or leave. I'm not quite sure I know what Sunday Vinyl is like is it a restaurant or just a bar that holds events?? I do like the vibe though. It's small and you are close to other parties and its still Covid so if that concerns you, take that into consideration before booking a reservation. I came here for the lunar new year celebration with Pho King Rapidos and Sắp Sửa collaboration. The vibe of Sunday Vinyl is really nice. There are giant windows and it was snowing so it was a nice people watching view. You are facing toward the light rail tracks and you see people walking with their suitcase. The music was definitely out there so if you aren't used to it, it might just come off as a surprise. Overall, service was fantastic. Dishes are picked up right away and tent water was constantly getting refilled. They do come around and clean your tables as well after each dish. The collaboration was delicious. The food was full of flavor and it was worth my money. There was an appetizer to dessert. I loved that it was decorated for lunar new year as well. It was just a great experience overall an I am interested in other events that will be held at Sunday Vinyl. read more

This is a cute wine bar and restaurant overlooking the train tracks with a cool vibe inside. The service was great and very attentive, and lots of staff to take care of you. I met a friend here for happy hour and turned it into dinner. The happy hour food was cheaper but also smaller portions so I don't think you win out. There were a few drinks on there but we went off the regular menu. One thing was weird when I asked to taste a couple of wines the server I'm pretty sure didn't understand me and said he could bring me half a glass, it's a wine bar, so I taste before committing to a glass. The oysters were great, unique topping, although I'm always a fan of the pure oyster so would prefer that to be on the side. The olives were good, nothing special. The cheese plate was tiny, it was two pieces of cheese and that's it. Either don't have this on the happy hour menu or clearly state what we should expect. For the mains, my friend go the branzino which looked dry to me and was plain so needed a side. I got the guinea fowl which was well prepared, but felt kinda expensive for what it was and needed a side, so my dinner entree was $50, not quite what I expected from this place. Overall it's a nice happy hour drink place to share a bunch of apps, but the entree selection is a bit small. read more

Great brunch!! It's been over a year since my last brunch at Sunday Vinyl. They play music on vinyl turntables with good speakers, no muzak. I started with a Bloody Mary, nice & spicy. My first choice was Croque Galette and a house made strawberry poptart. A delightful poptart, better than mody desserts. The Croque Galette was a fried egg on top of a bread galette with ham & gruyere cheese. Nice and light. I got a glass of Serol sparkling rose. Very spritzee. I was still hungry, so I got the Sweet Potato hash with pork belly & poached eggs. I asked my server, Evan H what would be a good pairing. He recommended 3 different wines. I chose his first selection, a 2021 Pradeaux Mourvedre Rose. A nice robust structured wine for sweet potato and pork belly. They have daily happy hour from 4:30pm-6pm. Sunday vinyl is nestled near the train terminal and the Main Street. The inside is whimsical and cozy. Loved the vinyl decor and ode to social health featuring local artists. The service was on point through out our evening. We ordered the scallops and pork belly to start. Then Bronzino and pork chop for our entree. Finished with the candy bar for dessert. The scallops were seared on one side nicely. Curious why the other side was not seated but nevertheless the dish was delicate. The addition of the peas gave it a freshness. The pork belly was swimming in a delectable sauce with sweetness from the crisp apples. The pork belly was not as tender as I would have imagined but still very good. The Bronzino was lovely served with a bed of absolutely delicious leeks. The pork chop was nice and thick but felt like it could have used more seasoning. It was served with a bed of beans which was infused with really great umami flavors. Lastly the "candy bar" was a whimsical play on what reminded me of an almond joy. read more

I had to get a cocktail because choosing a wine became overwhelming haha. We started with beef tartare with the addition of caviar because of course, the Hamachi, and foie gras. Everything perfect and amazing. The Hamachi, though it muted the '06 French Merlot we finally chose, was so bright and beautiful. The flavors were a symphony! We all got the steak frites, two of us added caviar and truffles because of course. We then got another bottle of Syrah this time. Dessert and dessert wine. I've never seen such a dessert wine list. We all got something different and round robined them. All amazing. We shared the cranberry pavlova and carrot cake. You guessed it, both amazing. We were placed on the waiting list for a table and they called almost immediately to make a reservation for a busy Saturday night. Much appreciated. When we ordered, the food was served quickly and it was impeccable. We enjoyed the fried squash, fresh bread, deviled eggs and more, and the kitchen was extremely sensitive when dealing with our allergies. The wine list is outstanding - I tried the Longavi "orange wine" Moscatal, which was exceptional. This was all to the soundtrack of excellent music. We came for the wine and the vinyl goodness of Led Zeppelin singing about Bilbo Baggins. The food though, oh man... that is what stole the show. Jamon iberico being delicious was expected, but this was then followed by a pillowy soft Park House roll with a subtly salty-sweet glaze that was difficult to not just devour out right. The chicken - crispy skin, perfectly cooked within, resting on slices of delicata squash with a pearl onion in the center, soaking in a jus of huckleberry goodness. This is an experience outing, so don't expect the smallest of checks, but well worth it for an enjoyable night out. read more
