$19 Caesar Salad
Craig S.

I really wanted to love this place, great atmosphere and the staff took great care of me. I ordered a Caesar salad to start, it was a salad, not a $19 salad... it was good. For my entree I ordered the hanger steak, good portion and it was cooked perfectly. I really love a great steak and what threw me a little off was the flavor they used to sear the steak, to sweet for me, I prefer to taste the meat. It's worth a shot If you want to try something new but there's a lot of great options in the area.

I've had Quality Italian bookmarked for years and finally had the chance to enjoy dinner during a stay in Cherry Creek. Let's start with the ambience. The restaurant is beautiful! It's located in the lobby of a hotel, so if you want to use the restroom, you actually have to go into the hotel and to the second floor. The lighting in the restaurant is warm with comfortable seating in a variety of rooms. When you place your reservation, you can choose the area you want to be seated in. It was very busy, so be sure to make a reservation! They do have an open bar area, but it's best to get the full experience. We sat down and were greeted by our server, who was absolutely fabulous! My only regret is not remembering his name because he was such a standout- so attentive, friendly and helpful! We started with drinks. They have a great phony negroni and a good old fashion- perfect whether you're looking for a mocktail or a cocktail. They brought up some parker rolls to start as well as complimentary meatballs. I'm not sure the occasion but it was such a yummy treat! For my entree, I had the Pacherri Amatriciana and my husband had the steak. Both were excellent! The food was so so good. The whole experience was just so incredible! We were celebrating my birthday and we were too full to finish our meal, so instead of bringing out a complimentary dessert, they were thoughtful enough to pack one to go. Seriously, such a great dining experience! Would highly recommend and would absolutely make it a point to go back anytime I'm in town.

Good food, service and wine knowledge. Went for a business dinner and service was outstanding. Small group and the som came around to help with wine and after dinner drinks.

I am a sucker for good Italian place, and wow did this place blow my mind. The food was cooked to perfection, the decor is lovely, the service was top notch. There was not a time where the servers weren't attentive. If you like good Italian food I would recommend checking this place out.

The food was insane here! Every bite was phenomenal. The staff was incredible. We sat at the bar though we had reservations it was just a nice vibe and ambiance. I really liked the lighting, darkness, super busy but everyone was on point

Good Italian food! Went out for a work dinner and the ricotta appetizer is amazing, highly recommend it if you like ricotta. We also got their lasagna, gnocchi, and crème brûlée. I like Italian food, but I wasn't amazed per se. That being said, the food is good, it was just very filling with just one item. The lasagna isn't your typical lasagna intended for 2 people to share, we split it between 6 of us since there were 5 rolls and it was still a lot of food. As you can tell from the photo, it is a very dimly lit restaurant, but the service was amazing. The servers were attentive, flexible, and had great energy. Overall, a 4.5/5.

We had dined at Quality Bistro in New York and was pleased to find there was a restaurant in that family here in Denver. We stopped by on a Saturday for a late brunch and almost every table was open and a few of the bar seats were taken. We opted to sit at the bar. The bartender that helped us was Dylan and he was attentive with refilling waters and drinks when needed. The Yellowtail crudo we started off with was delicious. It was fresh from the lemon and the Thai basil really kicked it up a notch. Next up, I got the Breakfast Risotto and my husband got the Sunday Sausage Roll. The pistachio in the risotto peaked my interest and it was pretty tasty. I normally don't like sausage too much but I went back for many bites of the Sausage Roll. The crispy spinach was also a nice touch. And the potatoes were good too! Quality Italian has a great looking menu and we would definitely come back. I have my eye on the chicken parm pizza for next time and would love to try more of the crudo menu for dinner!

My familia has loved Quality for a long time. The service and ambiance are top-notch. Pretty good wine list for a Colorado joint. Loud, like all Italian restaurants seem to be. But, since I'm married to one, I get it. The outside seating is on a good people-watching sidewalk and is usually quieter. The kitchen tweaks the menu occasionally but for the most part the standards stay the same and they are experts at crafting the dishes. To start they bring little cast-iron skillets with the most mouthwatering bread cooked in them. And they will bring more throughout dinner! The Little Gem Caesar salad is incredibly fresh and the dressing has a surprisingly pleasant little kick to it. This was the first time I have had the Black Truffle Cacio e Pepe, and I regret waiting so long. It was delicious, with a healthy dose of freshly-shaved truffle applied at the table. One of my dinner partners had the gluten-free version and she said it was also excellent. Back in my meat-eating days my son, grandson, and I would split the Chicken Parm Pizza. This is almost impossible to describe - you have to try it to believe it. Big enough to share for sure, but if you do have any leftover they'll put it in a take-out pizza box for you to bring home; it reheats perfectly. Didn't have it recently, but the ones on tables around us looked and smelled as good as I remember. Recommended. My wife used to love the cannoli cart, and was disappointed that it is no longer available. But only until they brought out "The Godfather" cannoli. Wow. It starts as a (huge) mostly naked cannoli, but with gelato stuffed into each end. Then the server dresses it at the table with raspberry compote, pistachios, cacao nibs, maraschino cherries and other toppings until it is a dessert to be envied the world over. Just watching him put it together was entertainment. And, man, was it delicious. Served 4 people no problem. The staff is great. At one point our waiter noticed that a flying insect had invaded my wife's wine glass (we were on the patio), and he took it and refilled it. Even though she had already drank half of it, there was no charge. That's service.

We came to Quality Italian in Denver for a work dinner with a party of six, and it was honestly such a great experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and stylish without feeling stuffy, and the service was friendly and attentive the whole night. We ordered both of their signature chicken parm pizzas to share--the Classic Chicken Parm Pizza with chili honey and house seasonings, and the Cacio e Pepe Chicken Parm with Tellicherry peppercorn, fontina, and aged parmesan. Both were cheesy, crispy, and absolutely delicious. We also each had a salad and shared the filet mignon meatballs and the calamari. Even with six of us, we went home with more than half of the pizzas because the portions were so generous. Everyone left full and happy. The cocktails were fantastic, and the vibe was perfect for a work dinner that still felt like a treat. Highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you're looking for something a little special without being over the top.

$175 WARM WINE

Food, ambience and service are GREAT, but you will spend lots of money for WARM WINE, because the owners are too cheap to spring for a proper wine cooler. SHAME ON YOU for charging $175 for WARM WINE!!!

Had dinner here with some colleagues and all I have to say is to come here hungry. The atmosphere reminds me of a steakhouse and they do have steaks, but the Italian fare is the reason for coming here. We ordered a little of everything and it was all good, but the standouts were the lobster linguini, lasagna, chicken parm, gnocchi and the Caesar salad. This place is a must try when in the area. Our servers were great and always there to fill a glass up or pick up a dish. What a great dining experience.

Bananas foster French toast

I'm here to review their brunch offerings! Specifically I came for the bottomless Bellini brunch, and I was not disappointed! The services was absolutely top tier, we felt like royalty on this snowy Sunday morning in February! The Bellinis come with your choice of syrups rather than made to order, which was not my expectation but tasty and worth it nonetheless. A bit sticky and a little messy with the syrup bottles, but the staff never let me sit with an empty champagne glass - so I'll take it! I ordered the pasta amatricianna, which was perfectly al dente and had the most glorious chunks of guanciale throughout the dish. I love pasta for breakfast, and I appreciate their commitment to craft here. We also ordered the sausage roll which despite its name was a pretty standard breakfast sandwich. Tasty for sure, but not necessarily the star of the show. The star of the show was the Nutella bananas foster French toast, which we took for dessert and ate ravenously later in the afternoon -- it was to-go container-licking delicious, and I would order this again and again. I simply have to come back for their other offerings!

If I could give a 4.5, I would, I think that's right on the money. The drinks were nice, the food was good, and the service was great! There were some very minor things that could use improvement in the food-- but I'm being VERY critical. The server was bragging about how nice and "not tough" the octopus is, so we made sure to get that for an appetizer. But it came plated a little sloppy, and I felt it to be pretty tough (not chewy), just tough. But the steaks were a highlight! We shared the filet flight. All three were very very good. One person at our table was vegan, and they catered to her very well. Her entree of a vegan risotto was actually the most beautiful plate on the table, and had some excellent flavors! The duck fat fries earn an honorable mention. They have some sugar on them, so they're sweet-- very interesting, but delicious. All in all, I had a great time, and the service pushed it over the edge. And the food was very well done, too. I'll be back here for dinner, annually, but back for happy hour more often. Thanks & Cheers! And see you next time!

We shared the wedge salad and they chopped and put on separate plates before bringing it out, talk about service! I could have ordered this 10x over. Every ingredient just tastes so fresh. Not only was the food to die for, our server, Arthur, was 10/10! He was the sweetest and gave the best recommendations. Let us take our time and didn't rush us out the door which was really appreciated. Our reservation was for 7:30 and I didn't see valet outside so we ended up parking in the parking garage close by. The restaurant does not validate your parking ticket if you park in the garage. I'm not sure if it's complimentary valet.

Tbh reserving felt…read moresuper stressful but I guess that kind of the culture nowadays with the rules, credit card down, and showing up on time with a 10min leeway. However, we ended up showing up an hour before our reservation hoping to just get seated and we got in right away. Cassey was our incredible waiter and he made the night very memorable. After learning it was our first time there, he very patiently walked us through the menu and how the restaurant generally worked with serving sizes. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ambience was great and cozy. We sat on the patio and it was mildly windy but it still felt nice being kept away in a corner of downtown. Starting with the appetizers, you HAVE TO get the burrata with some bread. It's the perfect flavor combination with the texture of the bread crumbs. Absolutely delicious. The salad was also a really great refreshing balance with the heavier burrata and bread. It's such a simple salad with the most amazing flavors of pickled shallots, buttermilk dressing, and Parmesan. They truly have some of the best cheeses ever. For the mains, I got the lobster tagliatelle and my partner got the lamb rigatoni. We also got smashed potatoes to share with cheese. Everything was impeccable. I was hesitant to get the lobster dish because it's such a low chance that a lobster dish is actually going to taste as good because it's a very difficult dish to perfect but I can confidently say it's probably one of the best ones I've had. The tomato base sauce with celery and chile with the lobster is the perfect combination. I do have to say a DISCLAIMER if you're not good with spicy food it's not for you. It has a pretty strong kick throughout the eating process so do not get it if you can't handle spice. Other than that, it's one of the most flavorful seafood pasta dishes I've ever had. I tried my partners lamb rigatoni and they truly perfected the rendering of it in the sauce and it's such a perfect overall dish with a good serving for rigatoni in general. If you're extra hungry, I would get the cheesy potatoes, they are perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and warm on the inside with the perfect amount of cheese and salt flakes. To close the night, we, of course, got the tiramisu which was very well made. Now, I have been to Paris and actually had it with the best cream on earth so it won't top that. However, it is a close second and probably the best I've had in America. I highly highly highly recommend you try it out. The service is impeccable and Cassey was the best company to have around to talk about celebrations, house of dragon, and having a good night. Thanks for making my birthday a great experience!

We started with the burrata based on Yelp reviews and they weren't wrong. Super fresh tasting, and the focaccia paired with it perfectly. The sauce was deep and hearty and the pasta was exactly al dente. We split a strawberry guacamole sorbet and glad we did, it was larger than expected and absolutely delicious. Place has the feel of a modern restaurant, very sleek. My only complaint was that we were seated next to a room with a large group and it was hard to hear each other talk, but nothing to be done about that. Really great place with a highly focused menu that knocks it out of the park. J.Ja

As Texas transplants, we've enjoyed some incredible steakhouses over the years and have traveled extensively, but this was truly one of the best dining experiences we've had. We started with the wedge salad, which was fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor--easily one of the best wedge salads we've ever had. The warm bread service was incredible and paired perfectly with the house-made spreads. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and absolutely unforgettable. The highlight of the evening was the Wagyu steak topped with cheesy potato croquettes. It was cooked to perfection and so tender it practically melted in your mouth. Every bite was packed with incredible flavor and was one of those dishes you continue talking about long after the meal is over. What impressed us most was that every single item we ordered was exceptional. The quality of the ingredients, attention to detail, presentation, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. My fiancée and I came to Bastien's for our anniversary. We have a tradition of going out for steak…read moreevery year, but this time we were looking for something a little more casual than your typical upscale steakhouse. Bastien's ended up being exactly what we were looking for. The atmosphere is very old-school and welcoming. We weren't very sure how dressed up we needed to be, so I went with a casual button down and she wore a long skirt which made us over dressed compared to most in the restaurant. We saw everything from button-down shirts to T-shirts, shorts, hats, and flip-flops, so you can feel comfortable showing up however you want. We were seated upstairs, which ended up being a really cool space. With the string lights overhead and the circular room overlooking the dining room below. We started with a bottle of Oregon Cabernet Sauvignon, which was surprisingly reasonably priced for a steakhouse. It paired perfectly with our meal and was a great way to kick off the evening. For an appetizer, we ordered the roasted Brussels sprouts. They were prepared with an elote-inspired twist, featuring corn, onion, cotija cheese, and lime crema. I normally love Brussels sprouts, but this was probably the only miss of the evening for me. They weren't bad, just not something I'd order again. Every table also gets complimentary bread and butter. Nothing fancy, but it's always a welcome steakhouse tradition while you're waiting for your meal. For our entrées, my fiancée ordered the filet, and it was solid - perfectly cooked, tender, and probably my favorite steak of the night. Since it was my first visit, I wanted to try Bastien's signature 10-ounce New York strip with the famous sugar rub. I'm usually a filet person, but I wanted the full Bastien's experience. The sugar rub was fun to try. That said, if I had to choose between the two, I'd still take the filet next time. One thing that really sets Bastien's apart is the value. Every steak comes with vegetables (very small portion), your choice of potato, and your choice of soup or salad--all included in the price. That's almost unheard of at steakhouses these days. I had the loaded baked potato, which was excellent, while my fiancée ordered the mashed potatoes, and they were incredibly buttery and delicious. The value here is honestly second to none. Five stars for value alone. To top off the evening, the staff surprised us with a complimentary cheesecake for our anniversary. It was a really thoughtful gesture. Cheesecake isn't usually my first choice for dessert, and my fiancée isn't much of a cheesecake fan, so I ended up eating most of it--but I certainly wasn't complaining. It was delicious. If cheesecake isn't your thing, they also have other desserts available on the menu, but this one was a complimentary gift from the restaurant. Overall, Bastien's delivers exactly what it promises: a relaxed, old-school steakhouse serving quality food at prices that are becoming harder and harder to find. While we'll probably continue choosing some of Denver's more upscale steakhouses for milestone celebrations, Bastien's has earned a future visit from us. Between the quality of the steaks, the generous portions, and the unbeatable value, we'll definitely be back.

Additionally, our server, Ryan C. went above and beyond and sat down with us to accomodate dietary restrictions for my brother in law and was very thorough with what he could offer for alternative food options. His quality of service was exceptional and was greatly appreciated. Sitting on the patio was a vibe as well and is an excellent place to grab drinks. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great spot in Five Points.

After reading other reviews and checking out photos beforehand, I knew the Colorado lamb was a must-order. It's not something I usually go for, but it ended up being my favorite dish of the night. Absolutely worth the hype. We also ordered the birria short rib and hickory smoked picanha, and both were solid choices. The shrimp and corn grits were amazing, and I really loved the aged cheddar mac and cheese. Other dishes like the chickpea croquettes and the chili relleno were also pretty good and rounded out the meal nicely. The wait staff was fantastic. Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has a cool, lively vibe. The only minor downside was that the outdoor heaters were a bit too hot, but that's a very small nitpick. Overall, an easy 5 out of 5 stars. Great food, great service, and a place I'd happily come back to.
