    Cricket royale

My husband and I make sure to stop by at least once whenever we visit Denver. Luckily the in-laws live here so it's a great excuse to visit. The cricket royale is probably my favorite burger I've ever had. In life. I joked and told my husband I would want this as my death row meal because it's that good. The flavor is insane and I wish I could finish the burger in one sitting but it's massive. I'm already thinking about my trip back in the next week or 2 before we head back to Dallas, which is home. The service is always solid and the atmosphere is great. The restaurant is spacious with seating both inside and outside.

We went here before a baseball game. It was very busy but our waiter was attentive and efficient. We had a kids chicken tender meal, pretzel and nacho appetizer and a blackened chicken wrap. The food was good with the exception of the kids chicken. It was huge and not very flavorful. They had a lot of breading. Everything else was very good. There is a fish tank to look at. The kids loved that.

I want to say this was the first location but I could be wrong but it is a lot better than their other locations and I can see why it's been around for so long. There's something about the burgers that taste better here. The space looks small but it actually expands into a large outdoor area and you can bring your dogs outside so I'll note that for next time. I ordered the cricket royale and it was so good with the pretzel bun. The flavors just really worked well together. I had a bite of some other burgers from our party but I wasn't a huge fan so I think in my opinion that the cricket royale is the best one of the choices. The appetizers were good and crunchy. Service was friendly. Food came out quick. Overall, it's a solid burger spot.

My hamburger was so good. I had a cheeseburger with the usual trimmings. My brother Ordered enchiladas because he remembered them being delicious last time he was in town , I gave him some of my burger to try and he said it was better than his meal. Before we left town we stopped in again an hour or so before they closed. I was not hungry but he ordered the special of 3 different sliders. Of course I had to try them myself. They We're so do good. Glad we went back. I know there are a few now but we went to original one in Cherry Creek The service was top notch. It has become a large restaurant. We sat in the main room and next to the fish aquarium. It was fun watching the fish. If you get a chance stop in for a burger. You won't be disappointed.

We ate at the downtown location a few years back and remember good food, fast services and clean space. Upon entering this location, it's a lively place with happy regulars at the bar. It's a large place with good music. The one thing that bugged me (pun intended) was all the gnats flying around our (inside) table. Swatting was needed to keep them off the food. The cherry bombs are yummy. The burgers good and the frings just ok. We had to wait a very long time for our check. We had to send for someone to get our waiter to bring it. Also no one ever came by to see if we wanted more drinks or a refresh on water. Over all, Cherry Cricket was average at best. When I'm back in the area, I'll try a different restaurant.

We got to the restaurant about 5:00 pm but the shift was changing and I sat waiting for my friend to comeback from locating a parking spot. I did not get service for about 10 minutes after being seated. We did however get service when my friend arrived. It was chaotic and not clear whose table we were. So we had gracious service but not overly attentive. After we ordered then the server left us for quite sometime until we got our meal, not sure if this was that we don't drink? The meals were very very tasty and orders came out correctly with no issues. Food was served hot and I enjoyed it. We needed to get our check ( we went to blossoms of light) and again we had to "flag" our server for the check. The transaction was easy and we each were able to pay separately. Parking was tough even though we were there pretty early- this area is always popping!

Went here for dinner after checking out the Christmas market and definitely left feeling full and satisfied. The speciality burgers they offer are a little too over the top for my taste. Don't give me wrong they sound delicious, but I don't think I'd want my entire meal to be one. I'd like to try a bite of each. I ended up making my own 1/4 lb burger with a crispy poblano, chipotle aïoli, and fresh jalapeños it was nice and spicy and delicious! They offer both 1/4 and 1/2 pound burgers. I got a side of coleslaw, which I really enjoyed, it was a bit sweeter than I normally like and had more of a vinegar than mayo base, but I really liked it. French fries were tasty too (not soggy at all). The waitress was great, she brought tons of extra sauces and made sure to check on us, even though it was quite busy.

I found this place based on reviews on Yelp. This place is a great dive bar in the middle of Cherry Creek. It does get loud as expected. Such a fun vibe to just be yourself, Our server was helpful and attentive, he got our orders out to us in a timely manner. Now the food. They are known for their burgers. They have quite a few that award winners. There are also other options to burgers on the menu. I had the fish sandwich which was delicious and not too oily. They are tasty and satisfied this hungry belly!

A great burger joint and a Cherry Creek landmark for burgers I was told when I first moved here 20 years ago. I ordered a buffalo burger with pretzel bun and green Chili, fries, and an Arnold Palmer. There was actually a green Chilli inside. So good!!! It was just opening and it was very clean smelling. Clorox smell is comforting when entering an eatery. It's a bit pricy but, you'll never have a burger like this.

Family gathering for dinner and we decided on cherry Cricket. The upside here is the location and its ability to accommodate almost any size group. Huge restaurant, steady service and good food are its hallmarks. Sat us for a group of 11 even though we weren't all there. Waiter checked in periodically and when we all assembled he had our order going in no time. Food here is great. Tater tots!!! Burgers are yummy and unique. There is a full bar, outdoor patio and the parking can be rough. Never had a bad experience and the kids enjoyed themselves.

Stopped in for a quick drink while on a business trip as someone I was training recommended it as a great dive bar. I walked in to bright lights and I thought maybeeeee not. I ordered a drink and asked the bartender Kyle and he said it used to be a dive bar but over the years they've expanded and become more of a family restaurant. He makes my drink an walks off and turns down the light! 5stars! I ordered a hot toddy's cause after 7 hours of training my throat was parched and they could do it! Very happy! Photos are high light and low light

Look - I know burgers, and after a nice lunch at the Blue Island next door - my gf and I wanted something nice and juicy for the palette- as we passed by Cherry Cricket we noticed the banners regarding the best of people's choice in Denver Burgers, so we knew we had to try. We had the Crybaby, and I can understand how it' was our servers favorite - if you're going in as a couple, you can ask them to cut it in half as it's a 1/2 pound burger with all the fixings We also had some fries on the side as well, very great at just under $30 for two. Fantastic burger, the grilled onions and crostini they put in the burger gave it some great texture. The au jus they gave with it is perfect for dipping and make everything delish - I downed it myself as a broth lowkey highkey. 5/5 - great casual bar ambiance, and the restaurant itself is HUGE with a large backyard area as well. Highly recommend especially if you're in Denver for the first time.

Fun on the outside and fun on the inside. Great atmosphere. Ended up ordering the Vera Cruz burger and the fry and onion ring combo basket. The burger was top-notch! Great flavor, great consistency, cooked the way I wanted. The fries and the onion rings left a little bit to be desired as they were a little soggy. Service was OK.. If I'm ever in the mood for that good burger again, I may go back and check it out sometime but try a different side.

About what time on an average Friday night would I have a good chance to find 2 seats at the bar?

The food crowd gets sparse by 9 PM. From 9 PM on there is a good turnover at the bar. There is no perfect time but from 9 PM on you have a good chance of getting two seats together at the bar.

Is it tough to get a table at Patrick's day weekend?

    Oh yeah! Expect a wait.

Is there a gluten free option? Asked by Jenna Christopher

Yes they have a gluten free option on the menu

Birthdays. Baseball games. Hockey games. Celebrations. Comfort-food nights. "Nobody feels like cooking" nights. If something was worth celebrating, or if we simply needed a place that felt like home, Milwaukee Street Tavern was the answer. Even on the days when we just didn't want to think about what was for dinner... MST was the answer. The food is consistently delicious. The drinks are exactly what you're hoping for after a long week (or a terrible Tuesday). But what truly sets MST apart is the people. The staff knows us by sight, welcomes us like old friends, and somehow manages to make every visit feel special without ever feeling forced. In a city where restaurants come and go, Milwaukee Street Tavern has remained one of those rare places that feels like a neighborhood gathering spot. It's warm, welcoming, and dependable in all the best ways. Twenty-five years later, after another long day... after a motorcycle accident, crutches, and aching bodies... we still find ourselves saying, "Let's just go to MST." If you've never been, you're missing one of Cherry Creek's gems. And if you're already a regular... chances are we've probably crossed paths there. The Yelp rating being 3 stars already feels like a warning sign, and after going, I understand why. Parking in Cherry Creek is already inconvenient and you have to pay to park, so the experience needs to justify the effort. I went in for brunch by myself, was there maybe 40 minutes, and the bill came out to over $120 after tip. For one person. For brunch. That is ABSURD. The biggest issue was the drink pricing. I asked for a classic Aperol Spritz. Their menu shows a "free spirited" spritz option for $12 with a $3 upcharge to make it a cocktail, so I expected something in that general range. Instead, I was charged $15.50 each plus an additional $3 Prosecco upcharge, making each spritz $18.50. I ordered two, so that was $37 just for two basic brunch cocktails. That pricing was not clearly explained beforehand. When I asked about it after the check came, nothing was fixed. It was basically treated like "it is what it is." The food was fine, but nothing memorable or special enough to justify the price. Cheesesteak egg rolls and short rib benedict should not turn into a $90.72 bill before a real tip, especially when the overall experience was just average. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the service was okay, but "okay" service and decent food do not justify these prices. Between the parking, the unclear drink charges, and the overall poor value, I would not come back. EVER. The restaurant was also surprisingly empty on a Saturday afternoon, and honestly, now it makes sense. This is exactly why people are eating out less, drinking less at restaurants, and choosing to cook at home instead.

This was my first Culinary Dropout experience which was on a date night and dinner outing. There was ~45 minute wait for a table as it was "dinner rush hour" before the weekend. We were seated in the bar area at a high top so we were very close to live music performer! So that was an enjoyable portion of the experience! The interior was dimly lit, loud and lively, and offered a rustic but modern feel. Based on this experience, food was overpriced and mediocre. We tried the fish and chips ($23) and fried chicken ($26). We were disappointed the fish and chips were not served with fresh lemon to "baptize" the fried fish. Fries were limp and didn't seem fresh. Also thought the fried fish should have had a crispier crust. The fried chicken was good flavor and texture on fried crust but the white meat was very dry. Mashed potatoes and gravy were lukewarm and not served hot. Also I tried to season the mashed potatoes but the pepper grinder at the table was completely empty. Biscuit was dry, overcooked, and lacked butter. Probably will opt for other options next date night.

It comes with the warm kale panzanella. The kale itself was solid, but I wasn't particularly blown away by the croutons/panzanella portion of the dish. Still, the chicken more than made up for it. The French dip, though, was INCREDIBLE. Hillstone absolutely knocked this one out of the park. The beef was fantastic, and the whole sandwich just worked. I would highly recommend this to anyone coming here, definitely one of the standout dishes we've had. We substituted the French dip's usual side for the creamed corn, which was classic, comforting, and very yummy. A great side choice. And, as always, the cocktails were stellar. Hillstone consistently delivers on that front. Another great meal at Hillstone, and the French dip is now firmly on my list of must-order dishes.

While the host was friendly and the waitstaff was helpful, several aspects of our meal were disappointing given the strict dining guidelines and supposedly high-endish experience claimed by this restaurant. Our experience with the food was inconsistent: - Appetizers: Since the grilled artichokes were unavailable, we ordered the artichoke and spinach dip. While the dip was flavorful, the tortilla chips were a letdown; we felt toast points or focaccia would have been a better accompaniment. - Entrees: The California burger and French Dip were good, though grilling the roll for the French Dip would have improved the texture. The Emerald Kale Chicken Salad was only average, as the chicken was quite fatty. - Sushi: The Coconut Shrimp Roll was the most significant disappointment. It lacked flavor and left an unpleasant taste that even wasabi could not mask, resulting in most of it going to waste. - Sides: The french fries were excellent and the highlight of our meal. Crunchy and perfectly salted. Overall, considering the expectations set by the dining policies, the experience was underwhelming and we do not plan to return.
