We had dinner here with another couple who lives in Denver and they made reservations. We started off with a Caesar salad which has anchovies which i like and what makes a real Caesar salad. Of course I enjoyed it. My wife had the cast iron lasagna, I had the chicken Parmesan, another had the eggplant Parmesan and Chilean sea bass. My wife lover the lasagna but only could eat half as it was cheesy. My chicken Parmesan was cook perfectly and it was delicious. The other couple loved their food but they been there several times prior so they love their food. We shared the: - Burrata: Do yourself a favor and get this! Overall, I was pretty pleased with this place. Had a table outside, which was kinda nice because the street was blocked off. The Arancini was good, but I would not say it was amazing. The carbonara was really good and the Bolognese with spectacular. The waiter was really great for the first half of the meal and then he was awkwardly absent for the second half which was a little annoying. Two side notes. Number one the pizzas looked really good, but we didn't try it. Number two, they do add this weird gratuity charge to your bill so pay attention and don't overtip. We had a group of 14 come in for dinner and ordered many dishes which I tried many of: Cocktails - 3/5: I had a whiskey sour and old fashioned. I think they used demerara in both which gave a carmel flavor that I didn't appreciate. Burrata - 4/5: The fresh mozzarella texture was more like a whipped cream cheese than an oozing cream that I had expected but still delicious when paired with the excellent bread. Calamari - 3/5: The plate we got was all rings and no tentacles. Breading was a little heavy and not as crispy as I would have wanted. Salad - 4/5: We tried the caesar, arugula, pear and beet salads. I enjoyed all of them *Pork* Osso Bucco - 1/5: A huge disappointment. Firstly, it isn't a tender crosscut of veal shank but rather a pork shank. I like pork shanks but this one which was was tough, dry, and stringy. The sauce was overly sweet sweet. On the bright side the creamy risoto and broccolini were well executed. My father ordered the same dish and his was the same. Buccatini Carbonara - 3/5: It was okay but didn't taste authentic to me. The color was too light so I think they used heavy cream instead of only egg yolks and parmesan cheese. Chicken Parm - 4/5: This dish is massive! The chicken was fairly moist, breading was crispy, red sauce tasted fresh, and there was plenty of cheese. Tiramisu - 4/5: Solid but I would have liked a higher ratio of lady fingers to cream. Like most restaurants in downtown Denver, the food is unmemorable. I came here for a lunch with co-workers and it was busier than I expected for a basement in Larimer Square. We made a reservation as we had a larger group, but probably fine to walk in without one for a smaller group on a weekday. Service was attentive and friendly but a bit slow. Portion sizes were huge, especially the sandwiches. I opted for an arugula salad with salmon, the salad itself was fresh though a bit overdressed, but the salmon I added on was overcooked and flavorless. I would recommend adding some sort of carb to this meal if you get a salad because I was hungry immediately after this meal. I've been here a couple of times recently, so will review both experiences. Our service was good both times. A friend and I came for the Sunday drag brunch and had an amazing time! The queens make it so fun and interactive and they were great about posing for pictures. It's not really an extensive brunch menu, but we got the bottomless mimosas, cinnamon rolls (wish you could buy a single and not just a four pack), and chicken and waffles, which were all great for brunch. Then a couple of weeks later, a friend and I sat on the patio on a beautiful afternoon. We just got drinks and shared the beet salad which I love. Our bill did get messed up that time though. They have automatic fees of 23% and are very clear on the bill that the mandatory service charge is not a gratuity. read more

The vibes and atmosphere were very vibrant which was really fun for a date night. When our food arrived, we were very pleased. The lobster pasta was very good but the wild mushroom dish was absolutely amazing!! As far as service, we were disappointed that the hostess didn't really acknowledge us when we arrived and never even made eye contact. However she was very fun and charismatic with her colleague who was talking to her. Also, with a 22% Creating Happy People fee for all orders, I would have expected a more prompt service experience at the table. One of my Colorado friends recommended checking out this Italian restaurant while we were visiting Denver, and I'm so glad that we did! The restaurant is nestled in the heart of Larimer Square, a very popular outdoor square filled with restaurants and shops with rows of Colorado flags hung up with lights above the space -- definitely recommend this location (especially if you want some cute photos) if you're in town visiting! As for the restaurant itself, we chose indoor seating for our big group of 10, and the inside eating area is actually downstairs and underground, which gave it a unique speakeasy vibe! Our server was very accommodating and attentive for our large party, and we all truly enjoyed our food items! From the apps, the calamari and burrata were some of my favorites and I can see why their creamy sweet burrata is one of their most popular dishes! My Chicken Parmesan (two huge pieces of chicken by the way!) was perfectly crispy while still having a tender inside. I did was that the noodles that came with this dish had a lighter amount of sauce because the chicken itself already had plenty of it! Wow! What a fun culinary journey. We came with a group and we were able to order so many things on the menu to get a good taste of everything. First off- the cocktails were really well crafted and served in beautiful stemware. They obviously really care. Second- the food was fantastic. The pasta was perfectly cooked. The crust on the pizza was thick and it had a good chewy bite. The sausage was not your typical pizza sausage, but rather real sausage sliced up. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The portions were just the right size. The bolognese was probably the crowd favorite. Just the right amount of fat and acidity. Third- the service was good. We did have to stop our server a few times to ask for some things. And some things were forgotten. But we were a group of 6, and that can be a lot of a server. Totally forgiven. My only issue, and this is one that happens a lot of places... I really have a hard time when you're slowly enjoying your meal and taking breaks to chat, and the server keeps asking if they can clear your plate. I dislike feeling rushed when with a group. The desert was just okay. I've had much more moist and flavorful bread puddings. The gelato was a little frozen and hard and lacked that fluffy consistency. The cannoli was the best bite. Definitely worth it. All in all, this was a fabulous spot. We loved it all. I highly suggest if you are an Italian fan to come check this place out. Get the burrata! read more

We made it here for restaurant week. This had been on our list of Italian spots to try for a while. I am very happy that we decided to make it. We had a reservation but the restaurant was not busy on a Wednesday evening. We started off with their happy hour menu, which was a great deal. The cheese pizza we added pepperoni, and found the pizza to be a little undercooked and doughy but still alright 6/10. We tried the house meatball which was pretty straight forward with polenta and ricotta 7/10. We also had the crispy Brussel sports, which were fine 7.5/10. They had a 3 item tasting menu and u had the arugula salad which was alright, Parmesan crisps were good and the orange dressing was alright 6/10. For my entree I had the short rib which was cooked well and I was happy with 7.5/10. My girlfriend had the chicken parm, which was very good 9/10. Another highlight was the wild mushroom fusilli pasta 10/10. For our dessert we had the butterscotch bread pudding which is a must get, 10/10. The server was friendly. The food took a little while to come out of the kitchen. I would love to come back and explore more of the menu. It was a little challenging to find street parking but that is downtown Denver for you. They charge a 22% fee on every bill which I don't care for, a tip should be earned, not expected. read more

If I could rate this place higher than 5 stars, I truly would! First off, the place is very cute with lots of seating. Second off, the food was delicious! I had the spaghetti pomodoro and the sauce was SO fresh and just really tasty. For dessert, I had the chocolate bomb. As a girl who loves anything chocolate + strawberry, I can genuinely say this was one of the best desserts I have ever had. My friends got the tiramisu which was also delicious! They also enjoyed their meals (chicken Parmesan, Cesar salad, and carbonara pasta). Most importantly, however, was the service. This was absolutely the best service I have had in Denver, maybe even ever. The waiter was extremely kind, our waters were always full, and everything came out so fast. They gave us complimentary limoncello shots with our dessert, and cookies on the house. Because we were celebrating my birthday they gave us the cake on the house. We also noticed on the check that they comped the burrata as well and it was listed as a "creating happy people" discount.. are you kidding me?!? How cute is that??? It was good bordering on okay. Super Friendly service but slow to get there when we sat down, ordered wine had to remind somebody to bring it that kind of thing. The food was mid. The brussels sprouts were very good. The calamari wasn't the freshest and over breaded. The truffle oil mushroom dish wasn't real truffle oil. The eggplant Parm OK heaped with cheese and stuff on top- when you drown it, it's usually because the base isn't the freshest. The fusilli with sauce that came on the side was the favorite thing that I ate. They had a 22% fee so no tip. Lol. They get it upfront. It's just attention to detail and using the freshest ingredients so that you don't have to over season everything. You won't leave sad but it is pretty pedestrian. Hadn't been here since before COVID and it's still good. We went for a large dinner with lots of people, 14, and they handled it well. There's a paid parking lot nearby, which was convenient. Everything was delicious and those who got drinks said they were well made. The Italian charcuterie plates we started with were soooo good. I'd eat one of those for a meal by itself. Carbonara and bolognese were the top two rated pastas, and the lasagna and osso bucco seemed to be the most liked entrees. The atmosphere is nice but casual. They want you to add another tip which is crazy. Pay your employees and let us tip what we want! I always tip at least 20% anyway but they are just forcing you to do it. Highly recommend drag brunch on Sunday! vibes with Shirley Delta Blow and Jessica L'Whor. So fun. Good music, food, and prizes. The experience is a bit on the pricey side (~$50/person) but definitely worth going if you're celebrating something like a birthday. They were very generous with the freebies like rounds of shots and dessert. Our server was fantastic. They do include gratuity in the bill but you can leave extra as well. We went here on the last day of our trip, looking for a nicer dinner to round out the trip. Everyone in our group likes Italian food and the restaurant looked to be in a cool part of Downtown so, we decided on this. We had a reservation and we were seated within 2-3 minutes of arriving. Our server was Sam, who was very personable and knew her stuff! She let us know that she was a bartender and even made us her favorite drink for us to shoot (it was really good and surprisingly smooth). I started with their Three Cheese Arancini because, what's not to love about Arancini? This very well may have been the best Arancini I've had. We had a nice bottle of red with our meal which we split between 3 of us at a solid price. Being that I wasn't too hungry, I split an entree with one of my friends - we ordered the Pesto Campanelle. She also hooked it up with limoncello shots to help us celebrate, it was great. We also had cocktails, the campfire mule was yummy and had smoked marshmallows on top. I had the smoking Thistle, which was smoky and delicious, the cyber gives it a deeper feel, a bit reminiscent of an old-fashioned. The restaurant wasn't especially busy (though it was 8pm on a Monday) and our server was very attentive and made excellent suggestions We started with far too many appetizers (two salads, charcuterie platter and fried squid) and then moved on to the main course.
