The pizza is actually so good here! It has the super thin crust in the middle while still having a chewy dough crust on the outside. Has the char of coal fired without tasting burnt. The margarita pizza is so good and a must try. The service was fine and met our needs. The inside is cute Italian- would be good for a family dinner or a quick food spot before a game down town.
So for a place that specializes in pizza, their starters are also pretty delicious as well. I liked the wings and the artichoke dip. Marcos makes some pretty delicious pizza. I like how the pizza is thin but still has a good amount of cheese. There's like some burnt ends but that might be a consequence of coal fired pizza so it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. The margarita pizza was really delicious and probably a shocking favorite of mines. I have tried the Brooklyn and Toscana and both are also solid choices as well. The Nutella pizza was also surprisingly really tasty as well and I'm not a big Nutella fan. Overall, there are many solid choices to choose from.
Wow we were recommended this spot while getting drinks downtown and it did not disappoint! The service was speedy and our waiter was so friendly. We split an order of the Calabrian wings which come with flat bread instead of celery (can all wings be served like this!!). They were so flavorful and honestly a full meal in and of themselves. We then shared the vodka pizza- I loved how pillowy the crust was and the sauce was AMAZING! Will for sure be going back.
I am so grateful for a good place with some delicious gluten free pizza. It's not like a cracker like some places have been. Also the service is so good everyone here is kind and helpful and are quite attentive in general. A decent amount of toppings on all the pizzas gluten or not and obviously it's been amazing having the coal fire pizza specifically. They also have some really delicious chicken wings here a good spice on them! I definitely look forward to coming here because it's such a chill vibe and it's another cool walkable spot for Ryan and I. Highly recommend
Marco's is an A+ in my book. I've been here a number of times and it's hit the mark every time. My family hails from Naples so Neapolitan-style pizza is just one of those things that's baked into the bloodline. Marco's really delivers and almost has me feeling like I'm back in Naples - almost. The quality of ingredients is excellent and the pizzas are extremely well made. My personal favorites are: - MARGHERITA BUFALA MOZZARELLA (anytime there's an option for Bufala Mozz DO IT!) - WILLIAMSBURG (the pesto with honey drizzle perfectly offsets the pepperoni - a pie I could eat every day) The Calabrian wings with focaccia are also delicious. Great happy hour and right in the heart of downtown. Service is solid and it's a nice casual, clean atmosphere. Just good food at somewhat reasonable prices.

We visited Marco's Coal-Fired during happy hour on a Tuesday afternoon. We were seated near the bar and opted for an espresso martini, which was freshly mixed in a cocktail shaker, and an Aperol spritz. For food, we had a small Caesar salad and a 12" gluten-free margherita with extra anchovies and arugula. All from the happy hour menu. The salad had quite a strong anchovy taste, which we loved. Very few places use anchovies in such a bold, forward way. The crust of the gluten-free pizza had good texture, close enough to the chewy awesomeness of "regular" pizza dough. The drinks were balanced and refreshing, and service was attentive throughout. Overall, perhaps due to the happy hour pricing, it was great value for money and definitely a top choice.
*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEW YUMMMMM!!! sooo good and no bad reactions. The GF pizza is some of the best in the area, and they take so many precautions to avoid cross contamination - such as never sharing toppings, never sharing serving equipment, stretch the GF pizzas in a different area, and use a separate oven to cook them. The staff are very knowledgeable, and pizzas come out with a little gluten free stick in them. HOWEVER - it is a gluten free wheat starch, so if you have a wheat allergy versus celiac, this is not for you!! I reccomend a reservation on the weekends, it is a smaller / sports bar feel. I got the pistachio and loved it. The focaccia bread isn't true focaccia, but more like the pizza crust without toppings, yet still yummy!
Very cute inside! We ordered a large Caesar for the table and it came with really yummy focaccia. The Caesar dressing was a bit on the bitter side for me but everyone else at the table loved it. The garlic cheesy bread was amazing and the tomato sauce on the side was so good I kept it for my pizza. The pizza had the perfect thin undercarriage but also managed to have crust that was crispy on the outside but pillowy and soft on the inside....even the people at our table who don't usually eat the pizza crust ate every crumb on their plate. Highly recommend getting some of their homemade ranch on the side!
Pizza is hot fresh and delicious!!!!! The creamy dressing on the salad, is one of my favorites! I always order and extra side for my pizza crust. I also tried the cheesy cauliflower and yummyyyy! Drinks are alright, I'll drink them but normally switch it up and have wine here. A great spot for some pizza anytime! Never a hard time getting a table here but it's not dead either
This was our first stop as part of our Downtown Denver Food Tour. We all had a slice of the Margherita Pizza, and it was delicious! At first I thought, how good can a pizza be anyway. But it was amazing with the subtle layers of flavor and coal charred edges on one heavenly slice. It's kid-friendly with booths and all, but the place feels like a downtown bar. It's casual and laid-back, as you watch them make pizza in the open brick ovens. They took us downstairs to the basement, which would be a great separate private dining for special occasions. It's located a block or two from the ballpark, so it gets quite busy after a game, other than on the weekends of course. They do take reservations.
This is my third time coming back to Marco's and every single time I'm reminded just how great it is. The wait staff are always so kind, service is always super quick (even when busy), and the authentic Italian vibe is always there. Marco's is known for being the first VPN pizzeria in the state of Colorado. Having eaten pizza all around Italy, I can confirm this makes me feel like I am right back there. The pizza is phenomenal (I highly recommend the bufala margherita pizza), the drinks are delicious, and you can't go wrong with any of the appetizers. Every ingredient tastes super fresh and feels very authentic. This is definitely a spot that I will continue going back to and bringing all my out of town friends to. I cannot recommend it enough.
I got a vegan Queens pizza, it was tasty but very little toppings for $18. My friends got the regular ones and their toppings were more generous. Service was not good. The 4 stars is for all other pizzas, not mine!
I'm not really into pizza in general. The only restaurant I really enjoy eating at is Crust Pizza back at home in Houston. However, when I saw the reviews and photos of Marco's pizza, I HAD to try it! Reading back at old reviews, it seems like 2025 was a bad year with terrible customer service, poor quality food, and uncleanliness. It seems like changes have been made since then because our experience was great! We ordered the Carne and Margherita Bufala pizzas to share amongst our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 little boys). The pizzas are pretty big, but since the crust is thin, our family devoured everything with my husband and I feeling still a bit hungry after. I think I could seriously have eaten an entire pizza by myself. This is just to help you decide on how to order; if you're hungry, get a whole pizza for yourself. Both pizzas were really good. I did like the Margherita pizza more than the Carne. The Carne tasted a bit more salty comparatively. Since I love basil, I do wish both pizzas had more of it. Side note: if price is a deterrent, then get the regular Margherita pizza. Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't tell the difference between bufala mozzarella vs regular mozzarella. Perhaps if I ate them side by side to compare then I could. Furthermore, I saw somewhere that they have a Tuesday special where the Margherita pizzas are 50% off! The price of the pizzas are a tad bit high, but I think it's worth it since the restaurant uses fresh and high quality ingredients. This place is definitely worth a try. It may not be a place where you would eat regularly with your family, but it's great for a special occasion or date night. Overall, our family really enjoyed Marco's and appreciated that they were able to bring us a little bit of Italy. (: We accidentally left our plastic bottle of water at our table and when we left, one of the waiters ran out of the restaurant to give it back to us! Honestly, he could have thrown it away, but he didn't. I still couldn't believe that he got our attention to return it to us. I love the thought and integrity of the act. Thank you! read more

Pizza after the ballgame. Service was super fast as the pizza cooks at 900 degrees. Honestly some of the best GF pizza I've ever had. Kids enjoyed their cheese and pepperoni pizza and we all devoured the GF Nutella dessert pizza. Location has nice decor and seemed like a popular spot after an afternoon game. read more
Unfortunately I didn't quite love this pizza. It really had so much potential but came out kind of soggy. I really liked that they provided fresh Parmesan and chilli flakes for the pizza. Overall if you eat the pizza fresh it would be a better experience than having it sit on the drive home. The service overall was good and we got our food in good time. Visiting out of state. Walked in, very empty . Got greeted and Sat down. Not much in the Menu. In which there isn't quite a variety of appetizer options very limited pizza options. I did see make your own pizza, but If I remember correctly it was more like add your own topping on top of a margherita Pizza. Warning No Fries My sandwich I got wasn't bad but it came with tomato,and I do not like tomatoes and this was not on the menu as an ingredient topping or list. So I removed 1 star. Good pizza!!! Just not great. Pistachio pie was my favorite 4/5. Toscano was a 3/5 and Abruzzo was a 2.8/5, both lacked flavor. These pies are very "insta worthy", decorated well! Loved their outdoor patio, beautiful painted murals. Great service! read more
This is hands down the best food in Denver from the appetizers to the pizza. Do yourself a favor and get the Calabrian wings with a side of the creamy parmesan dressing. They have a little kick and the dressing is like garlicy ranch. The Caesar salad was good you can tell the dressing is made from scratch (in a good way). The pizza was the star of the show. We got the Sicilia which was just enough for 2 people to split. The cheese and the meat and everything was loaded and with the creamy parmesan dressing was an absolute game changer. Will be returning here every time i come back to Denver! read more

Came to this pizza place with my family. It was amazing. The crust was perfect. We shared 4 different pizzas between 10 people and it was the perfect amount. Plus we shared a few different types of salads and the burrata appetizer was delicious! It came with bread and a pesto sauce. They had amazing espresso martinis and a few different dessert options. Definitely need to try this place when you come to Denver. read more

Stopped by Marco's Coal Fired for their weekday lunch deal. At $11 for pizza, choice of soup or salad, and a fountain drink, is a great deal. Note, there's an up charge for the Caesar salad -- our server didn't mention this. As for the star of the show, the Neapolitan style pizza, it fell a bit short. It could have used some more time in the oven and the sauce lacked a depth of flavor. I have to give this place a 3-stars because the pizza did not hit the mark. read more
