A group of us were there drinking and enjoying ourselves out on the patio area after a Broncos game when some old bald person came out and started accusing us of taking our drinks across the street to the nearby pizza shop. We explained several times that it wasn't us and we never left the establishment but they became more and more belligerent and they were acting like a complete a-hole so we (8 of us) all left rather than order more and put up with their bs. The female and younger bartenders are cool but the old guy screaming for the last 30 minute continuously about finishing drinks and getting out of the bar needs to chill out. If you can't handle a close and not yell at people every 5 minutes about finishing their drinks then don't close. When you do last call and scream at people to finish their drinks 2 minutes later for the next half hour you're just abrasive, not helping your situation. On February 26, I went to Jefferson Park Pub for the first and last time. I spilled a drink at the bar on accident, and offered to clean it up. The male bartender told me I had to watch him clean it up so I "know what I did wrong." I thought he was joking, and reached for some paper towels to clean it. He then grabbed me by the arm and said "what about that didn't you understand you dense motherf***er." He then proceeded to keep me at the bar while he cleaned it. read more

Place was cute, but they charged the wrong tab to my card. I got one margarita and when I signed my receipt it was $12 to $15 and I left a tip. I opened up my bank account the next day and see a 50 dollar charge from them. Either they changed my tip amount or they charged the wrong thing. Lazy Sunday... We feel like going to an Irish pub in the early afternoon. Why not ? My husband had a pint of Guinness. You know you can't go wrong. I love the Shamrock motif on the foam in the Guinness. Great touch ! The gal behind the bar is very personable and approachable. She makes the whole atmosphere so warm and cozy. Friendly and cozy neighborhood pub! Cheap drinks ($6 house wine for the win) and friendly service. We enjoyed sitting by the faux fire pit and chatting the night away. Came by for a quick drink and some food to pick on. There was only one person working here when we came in, so we strolled in a sat at any table. There were mostly just people sitting at the bar at this point. They also had a special on New Years Day to make your own waffles all day for a set price which was kind of cool. I ordered the sparkling berry which has infused strawberry tequila, soda, and a splash of lemonade. I don't know if it had too much ice or whatever but it didn't taste that strong at all. I liked the idea and flavors of the drink though. We also ordered a pretzels which was kind of hard to eat and pull apart and a spinach and artichoke dip. Overall the place is small but cozy. Perfect to grab a beer or two and watch some football. I would probably skip the food next time though. read more

Jefferson Park Pub is a great, cozy, neighborhood bar, with all of the little things that make it a fun stop, winter or summer... In the colder months, there is a warming fireplace with seating for about five around it, but it's location makes the whole place feel a little warmer, as it's not far from any seat in the house. In the summer, the 'mini-garage door' style shutters can be raised up for an outdoorsy open feel. A terrific staff and good beer selection round out this neighborhood gem. Parking can be trick on the weekends, but there is usually a spot within a blocks walk. read more

I noticed this place open the other day so I decided to pop in. It's funny to walk in and smell the fresh paint- literally! It is THAT new! I was intrigued and it did not disappoint. Not surprising, there were not that many people there but that will come with time and as the neighbors (Italian and pizza) open up soon and once people discover some of the great new places on Federal! As for the space, I like how intimate it is and it looks like it could be the perfect neighborhood bar in an area that really needs one! Not to mention they also have a patio for when the weather is nice. There is a limited food menu but I think it will be mostly for drinks and hanging out. They do have several flat screen TV's, which I am not too thrilled about but, in this place, I could see that as an appealing thing for the clientele. I am not sure this place is yet a 4-star place but I am rating this on the potential I see and what I hope it becomes! read more

It smells good. No really, when I walked in my first thought was wow this bar smells good. This is a product of a few things; first - it's new ( 2 weeks old) and second - the tables and bar are all freshly carved and have that newly cut wood smell. The decor is top notch as well. Along with the upscale tables and bar there is exposed brick and local art to add to the ambiance. Whomever did the design on this place did one hell of a job. The beer/liquor selection was adequate. They had a handful of local brews on tap as well as can and bottle options. They serve food, not a full menu, but the kind of stuff you can munch on when you're having a few drinks. There is also a new pizza place right across the street you can order from and bring into the pub ... there is really no reason be hungry here. I ordered a hummus plate to go with my drinking and on a future visit I might steer clear of that and order pizza from the restaurant across the street. The staff will provide you with their menu & number if you need it. There is a patio but it's small, so I wouldn't count on it for a large group looking for patio drinking. Solid 4 stars. Could be more, but not on first visit. It was a lazy, perfect Denver weather, Sunday and we were out for a 6-mile walk. After 3, we needed a beer. A very warm welcome from Sara at the bar. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The window opens onto the patio. The TVs are not overwhelming. This is a great little pub. The atmosphere is low key, friendly and not too loud. Reggae over the sound system, nice little faux fireplace with comfy leather armchairs and an IPA ... what more do you need on a cold day? If you live in the Jefferson Park neighborhood of Denver, you pretty much had one option if you wanted to grab a drink at a decent bar- go to a different neighborhood. Not anymore! I've been into the Jefferson Park Pub (let's call it it the JP Pub, much easier to type) several times now and have had nothing but good experiences. Great/friendly bar staff (Sarah in particular), good draft selection, cool ambiance, and a solid crowd make it my new favorite spot to grab a few casual drinks at the end of the day. Other plusses include being able to bring your dog and sit at the outside patio, being able to order Sexy Pizza from across the street and eat it in the bar, and their habanero-infused tequila. This has also been a great place to watch the world cup games. With all of the new construction in the area, I wouldn't be surprised if the JP Pub success marks the beginning of the transformation of our rather non eventful neighborhood into a fun destination spot for people all over the city. read more

I wanted to update my previous review. I came back to this neighborhood pub and had an most excellent experience. First, of all let me say JPP has my favorite elixir on tap 'Collette Farmhouse Ale' and the tap was pouring the deliciousness at a perfect temperature COLD! It was a nice casual mix of families and people really enjoying what they came there for. The staff was attentive and the drinks came out quick, even on a Broncos game day! This place is awesome! I went with friends on a Saturday night and we met some great people. The DJ played from 8 to whenever and kept an upbeat tempo throughout. The bartenders are friendly and they make fantastic cocktails. I had a couple of whiskey feathers which was a nice change to the usual splash of Coke or draft beer. I like that it's canine friendly also! It makes for a cool pit stop when your taking your dog out for a walk. read more

After my previous review, I was contacted by the owner who was very apologetic. Great to see they care about their patron's experiences. I was told they will be changing up the menu and drinks, which I personally was excited to here. Hopefully they expand the food options and add some hot food choices. This is a new place so I'm sure over time their food/drink options will evolve as they find their identity. May have been a bit harsh in placing blame on them for the misbehaving dogs and their owners since that is not entirely their fault. Wish some patrons were better dog owners or just left their dogs at home as this would make the experience much better. read more
