BOGO beer from 3 to 6, Monday - Thursday
Claire M.

Love this spot! So many games and some very good beer choices! I came with some of my co-workers after work one day and we had a blast. It's such a laid-back, fun environment! They have cornhole, ping-pong, foosball and giant Jenga for entertainment, which is always a good time. There's also food, like tacos & nachos, as well as a large selection of drinks choices. Be sure to check out their HH from 3 to 6 Monday thru Thursday for BOGO wine & beer!

What a fun experience! My husband and I decided this would be the perfect place for a day date, complete with games + food + live bands. Stop at the food truck and enjoy some street tacos, featuring protiens of carne asade, fish or blackened chicken. We decided to try the nachos topped with pork, queso, pico-de gallo, jalapeños, and sour cream. It was seriously amazing! We devoured them while listening to the live band play. As we mingled by the food truck, we were also entertained by cornhole and jenga games. And ended our time by playing a game of miniature golf. This is definitely a perfect place to check out in the summer time. Enjoy the atmosphere of downtown Denver, along with some good music, games and food!

Awesome set up right next to the palmrest. Food was good, the beer was good, and the band was actually. Place was full but not crowded with me to love more pleasant. I'll deathly be coming back here again!

There's a beer garden next to the Clocktower all summer long. Anyone can go in and play the games and miniature golf. We had fun ordering drinks and playing Jenga. Really cool way to have some fun downtown!

This place is really neat, they let you try the beers before you make a selection. There's games you can play, and it's real relaxed!

I love that there is always seating, games if so inclines, snacks via the food truck or bring your own.

5/5 Stars Schoolyard…read moreGarden is such a gem! I stopped in recently and was immediately struck by the energetic vibe. The space has a great buzz to it--lively and welcoming without being overwhelming--making it a perfect spot for a casual hangout or a mid-week pick-me-up. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. It's rare to find a place where the service matches the high energy of the room so perfectly. On top of the great atmosphere, the prices are very reasonable. It's refreshing to find a spot in Denver that delivers this kind of quality and experience without breaking the bank. Whether you're looking for a new local go-to or just passing through, this place is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back for sure!

A group of 20 of us met here for lunch, and it was a smooth process, from parking to ordering! There was plenty of metered street parking, and when you enter, there are 2 counters: one for food and another for drinks. I am only giving it 4 stars because I felt like the food options were a tad limited. A few burgers, a few sandwiches, and a few salads/bowls (with a random poke bowl thrown in there?). It kind of gave me a sense of no cohesion to the menu. Nevertheless, the vibes are comfortable, and I would go back!

The outdoor patio is spacious, relaxed, and perfect for enjoying Colorado's nice weather with friends or coworkers. We ordered a variety of shareable dishes, including the giant pretzel, loaded fries, fried pickles, hummus, wings, and grilled broccolini. My favorite was definitely the loaded fries--crispy, cheesy, topped with bacon and jalapeños, and packed with flavor. I'd happily order those again. The giant pretzel was great for sharing, and the hummus plate was a nice lighter option. The grilled broccolini was also surprisingly good. The only dish that didn't quite hit the mark for me was the wings. They had good flavor but were a little dry. Overall, the food was good, but nothing that really stood out as unforgettable. That said, the atmosphere is what makes this place worth visiting. It's the kind of spot I'd come back to for a sunny afternoon, drinks, and catching up with friends or coworkers. Great vibes, plenty of seating, and an easygoing environment.

Loved listening to the bands, and exploring the huge space. They have olllllld school pinball game, giant jenga, gigantic cornhole, trash can sized beer pong, and ladder ball (normal size). They also have an original Nintendo with Mario. Seating a little tricky, be careful sitting on the benches, they move in odd ways. But loved the tables and chairs upstairs with the perfect view of the stage! Service was my only complaint- I think the first guy at the bar was having a hard time because they were so busy. I waited at the bar for a while without being acknowledged, then by the time he did finally notice me he just held up a finger. Finally a chick came over and took my order, but it took a while. She was perfectly nice, however, and it wouldn't stop me from returning or recommending them. The helles was a decent German beer with a good depth of flavor- I would come back and try their other beers for sure. Highly highly recommend and will absolutely be back for other events! Bring back emo night please!

They had a section with some large games like beer, pong and cornhole as well as a separate side that had a stage. The upstairs location had some tables and a ton of plants. You could overlook everything from the upstairs. The night was fun, but the place seemed dead for the most part. Kind of surprising for a nice weekend night. There is also a loud rowdy group that was kind of monopolizing all of the large games so we didn't get a chance to play those. Beer was decent although they do add a 20% charge. Might come back in the summer when the weather gets nicer.

This place is bigger than it looks on the outside!…read more Parking is street parking so definitely read the signs and you might have to park a little further away and walk there. My friend and I went here for a single mixer event and we've both never been to this venue so we weren't quite sure what to expect. Since the event was hosting, they bought all the drinks and food so I won't go too much into that but they did serve chicken nuggets and fries all night and they were hot fresh and flavorful! The venue itself is huge! Plenty of outdoor seating enough room for everyone and then they have two separate indoor seating areas one on the top floor and one on the main floor. I would definitely suggest this place for a casual meet up with a large friend group or even hosting an event here. The servers and staff were all pretty friendly quickly, busing table tables as they saw empty drinks and baskets. They also brought out fries and chicken tenders as fast as possible. Overall, the venue itself is wonderful and the service was great. I would definitely suggest hosting an event or having a large gathering here.

I was in the neighborhood for my side hustle shifts so the purpose of my visit was to grab something quick so I would be able to eat in the car after my assignment was done. When I saw the Chickpea Pesto on the digital menu, I simply couldn't think of anything else. I went with it without any sides. The price was $11. The food preparation didn't take too long despite being quite busy in the mid afternoon on Easter. Quick service is always a plus. In a matter of 10 minutes or so, the lady with whom I placed my order handed me my food. When I saw the inside of the container, I knew something went wrong. It appeared that what was between the buns was indeed chickpea basil but I ordered the wrap version of the Chickpea Burger as that option was indeed listed on the menu. Turns out, the manager (Mookie) who stepped in to correct the situation said that version was supposed to be taken off/out from the menu (or something along those lines he said) but it had still been remaining on it. He generously and kindly offered to get me something else with no additional charge so I ordered the Cobb Salad to substitute it. Right after placing it though, Mookie realized that his kitchen staff could still make the wrap version of the veggie burger so he had it quickly made and brought it to me. In the meantime, my Cobb Salad was never cancelled so he also brought that out. And all of a sudden, I had three dishes with the price of one dish ($11). Oh boy, I truly felt bad for this so I gave him my quick apology for all the confusion and mishaps. He was so pleasant about it and said I could keep all three with "Don't worry about it" comment. Since I didn't need three dishes, I gave the salad to my colleague friend who was in the restaurant with me (she ordered chicken tenders so she too, ended up with two dishes with one dish price!) m Thanks to Mookie and his kind staff for the excellent service my colleague and I received yesterday. As for the Chickpea Pesto.... As I got back to my car, I ate the much needed meal before I headed my way to what was next. I didn't realize that I was famished; I ended up devouring both the wrap and the burger in a matter of 15 minutes. And I was shocked as to how decent the chickpea pesto was. Well-marinated with overall light taste. Quite refreshing to say the least. Recess is mainly a young people's hangout place. Dog friendly where when we were in the restaurant the patio was filled with people with their adorable furry friends. Yesterday's pleasant temperature made the perfect opportunity for many to dine in outside under the sun. I shall definitely return to order me the same Chickpea dish. I hope to see it remain on it next time I go here.

The Japanese rice lager (forgot the name) was amazing. So good, in fact, that they ran out on this particular evening. As posted throughout the bar, they have instituted a mandatory 18% service fee in lieu of tips. For better or worse, be aware of this. It means you don't need to tip. Maybe we were just brave, but with blankets and the outdoor heaters the space served well for a small get together. The inside, however, was PACKED. Was it something in the air that influenced every young family West of Denver to crave local brews and fried food options? Or is this just the typical crowd for this establishment? Either way, I don't believe myself to be the target market for this location. After a few hours, the children's birthday party and other large family gatherings occupying the warm interiors finally disappeared, and we were able to enjoy all the splendors of their heated former firehouse. The staff who was wandering the facilities to take empty trays and glasses from tables were exceptionally nice, the food options were as plentiful as the variety on tap, and the patio's ambience was exactly what we needed. Ticked all the boxes you'd expect of a suburban beer hall. Overall, not really my scene, as I don't have a golden doodle or a curious toddler, but if that sounds like an apt description for the company you keep, you'll enjoy this spot immensely.

There's an outdoor garden with plenty of shade. There's indoor sitting as well if you prefer. The service was excellent! The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and let us sample a few beers before we made our selection. We were really in the groove. Enjoying our carefully selected beers, exhausted and hungry, we anxiously awaited our food selection. We decided that we would share a hand tossed, oven fried pizza, ( well that's the image we had in our imaginations). I was already planning on what to drink next, since my first yummy beer was crunching my thirst and hunger at the same time. And then it happened. Our pizza arrived. Right away we could tell it was a frozen pizza, but not the new fancy kinda frozen pizza, you know the ones that are, "not too bad for a frozen pizza", pizza. This was more like, I'm in middle school and, "this is all that's left in the fridge", kinda of frozen pizza. The pizza was so bad that we didn't finish it. The salt and bad sauce ruined the taste of the beers. And my anticipated second beer evaporated into a memory
