Great beer garden. Lots of outdoor seating. It was very busy when I visited on a Friday evening, but it didn't feel overly crowded. The staff kindly gave multiple reminders before closing. The Japanese rice lager (forgot the name) was amazing. So good, in fact, that they ran out on this particular evening. As posted throughout the bar, they have instituted a mandatory 18% service fee in lieu of tips. For better or worse, be aware of this. It means you don't need to tip. As far as I'm concerned, it didn't have a negative impact on the service from the bartenders. read more

A great option for young families on a warmer day. I stopped by Edgewater Beer Garden with some friends with the intention of enjoying a seemingly warmer Denver winter day, and we had no trouble finding seating on the patio. Maybe we were just brave, but with blankets and the outdoor heaters the space served well for a small get together. The inside, however, was PACKED. Was it something in the air that influenced every young family West of Denver to crave local brews and fried food options? Or is this just the typical crowd for this establishment? Either way, I don't believe myself to be the target market for this location. After a few hours, the children's birthday party and other large family gatherings occupying the warm interiors finally disappeared, and we were able to enjoy all the splendors of their heated former firehouse. The staff who was wandering the facilities to take empty trays and glasses from tables were exceptionally nice, the food options were as plentiful as the variety on tap, and the patio's ambience was exactly what we needed. Ticked all the boxes you'd expect of a suburban beer hall. Overall, not really my scene, as I don't have a golden doodle or a curious toddler, but if that sounds like an apt description for the company you keep, you'll enjoy this spot immensely. read more

I really love this space! it would be perfect for day drinking as they have a ginormous patio! It is definitely a family friendly environment as there were many well behaved kids present. We brought our baby and we didn't feel judged, LOL. I ordered a Philly cheese steak which was tasty. My only complaint would be I wish there was more cheese sauce, haha. I am a sucker for cheese sauce. I ordered a mocktail from the bar. I forget what it was called but it tasted like a margarita. It was very tasty! Came here with a big group, and was pleased with our experience! The ambiance was that of a perfect summer patio, variety is the spice of life, and I love having plenty of it!! Fun atmosphere with bingo playing, we went on a Wednesday night so I'm assuming it's a weekly event. We had a party of 8 and it was hard to hear with all the noise but there was plenty of room for our party with bench seating and regular table seating available. You order your own drinks/food at the bar and you're given a buzzer for when your food is ready. Cocktails and draft beer available. All the staff were really nice and working hard. Automatic 18% gratuity on all checks. The food was good but nothing to write home about. Fitting for the crowd/atmosphere. Definitely a hipster spot but you're in the Sloan's Lake area so expected. Just came here for the first time with my dog. The happy hour menu was nice! I enjoyed the selection of food and drinks and the vibes and atmosphere are super nice! I loved the outside seating options and there were many areas with shade! The service and food is basically self serve and the food is a little pricey but it's good and typical with the scene of this being a brewery. We went to Edgewater beer Garden on one of the nicest pre-spring days that one could ask for in Denver. Everyone was out on this day with their dogs and with their kids and most of all with their friends. We soaked up some sun on the patio and also had frozen drinks. Their frozen margaritas were wonderful shout out to the tajin rim. This is a great spot and even those packed there is so much seating so we were able to find a table. read more

This place is a gem! Super comfortable ambiance- casual and lively. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating at picnic tables. The drinks and food is sold at two different large self serve counters that moves very quickly. Food comes out amazingly fast considering how many orders go in. I have eaten there twice and the food was great. The menus has plenty of choices that are fairly reasonably priced. An 18%gratuity is included in every drink and food item. It was one of the tastier beer garden meals I've had, and I generally like that the kitchen is in-house versus a rotating food truck so you know what to expect. Ironically the main downside was the beer selection. I love when I have a hard time deciding what to order from the tap, but that WASN'T a good thing in this case. I felt like I had to pick between so-so selections. Even the bartender admitted their menu isn't the best. There are a ton of tables, all shapes and sizes, shade, sun, etc. Always fairly busy but never any issue grabbing a spot. They have a great beer selection, as expected. The cocktails are just okay. Bar is priced pretty high for what it is. Now the food - whatever that horseradishy creamy goodness on the beef sandwich, holy moly! Super fluffy bread. I've been extremely happy with their sandwiches. They have a great selection of hot sauces and killer ranch. I've also tasted the chicken salad, would recommend! Another bonus is that the food comes out very quick. Staff is super attentive & friendly. They say hi to my dog and don't let tables sit dirty. It was a warm sunny day last week so everyone's destination was apparently Edgewater Beer Garden! We went there (with our dog in tow) on a recommendation. We parked down the street (looks like it can get a little busy) which wasn't too bad. It was a little confusing to find the true entrance as it's not on Gray St. but exactly at the corner of Gray and W 25th (there are some ropes and signs saying 'please enter through the main gate). Once inside, we realized there was a decent line to wait for drinks. Huge beer garden and essentially one bartender. Not genius. Should be multiple places to order. They do have a large menu though of beers, cocktails, wine, etc. Saw a few people with slushies. I ended up getting a pink sour (very good) and my husband got another beer. We also were hungry and wanted to grab some food, which is another window/line. Not as many people in that line. We ordered a hot pretzel + cheese and I think my husband got a brat sandwich. The pretzel was not a pretzel - I feel like a number of places we've been to in Denver are like this where it's much more like bread than the true doughy/slightly sour/yeasty pretzel flavor. Cheese sauce was good though. I didn't see the tab, but from other reviews I just read it looks like they charge a service fee which is kind of obnoxious. We'll tip, just don't tell us what to give you. They could definitely use some more bartenders or another bar space on busy, warm days, but we did enjoy our afternoon there. read more

The good: atmosphere is fantastic. One of the best outdoor patios on this side of town. Inside there are large glass garage doors so the interior is often open air. Nice during these times. They have larger tables for groups outside and more intimate small tables for pairs. Staff seems friendly too. Also has ample bike parking out front and in a side lot. I was there with a friend last week & a kid was riding her scooter repeatedly through the restaurant, round & round in circles, then outside & back inside in circles through the restaurant for 15 minutes straight. Then there were some boys throwing a baseball over our heads in main exit aisle as we were leaving. It's beyond annoying! Is this a playground or what? Lovely patio, but in my experience, more than once, this business seems to be ok to let kids run around unattended, like it's a 2nd grade playground, screaming, throwing rocks, hanging from the branches of newly planted trees, disturbing any relaxing pace you might hope to enjoy. I was not alone with noticing this nuisance. I had a kid throw a handful of rocks my way today because his parents apparently did not give a s*#t what he was up to. Everyone is welcome, absolutely, but it's still a public place, so keep your kids in check, parents. Management, set some rules, or open a playground.
