I recommend starting with the Edgewater Coffee or Mimosa's Rupert's offers an optional juices my personal favorite is pineapple. The chicken fried steak comes with biscuits and gravy and 2 eggs! Excellent food! Not that packaged crap. The patio was full of dogs and smiles. Phenomenal service, they move people quickly. Best part they don't forget about customers. If you're looking for a new brunch place, look no further. Ruperts at the Edge has been getting some great press lately, so with that, my bestie and I decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed :) Ruperts has a great set up of booth, bar, table, and patio seating. They have cute little witty sayings strewn about their walls, so those are fun to find and read. Prepare yourself for a little bit of a wait if you go for brunch on the weekend. This just means Ruperts is worth the wait. Check the bar seats though, as those are first come, first serve and they serve the entire menu there as well. We lucked out and two spots were open for us so we did not have to wait for a table. The bartender who was also our server was very nice and gave some excellent recommendations. Rupert's classic reuben was a great suggestion. Add sweet potato fries, and you'll be in heaven! We also could not pass up the cinnamon roll that was so elegantly advertised in front of us! When in Sloan's Lake, Ruperts will be my choice of restaurants. Boy, this place reminded me how much I just love a breakfast spot. We really enjoyed eating here and will definitely be back. I had the classic breakfast plate, with perfect scrambled eggs, yummy potato cakes (they were like a cross between a hash brown and a mashed potato, heavy on the green onion flavor and so delicious), good buttered sourdough toast, and turkey bacon. My husband had their classic burger; he added cheddar cheese and jalapeno bacon, and we both had oat milk cappuccinos. The coffee was good. Everything we had really hit the spot and was exactly what we wanted. We did have about a 25 minute wait on a busy, gorgeous Sunday afternoon. We opted to sit inside to be seated quicker, since most people were waiting to be seated out on the patio overlooking Sloan's Lake. Such a great spot! Tidbit! Order the mimosa bottle. At $18.50, it was six glasses for the table and one of the better deals you'll find at a Denver brunch spot. Also, call ahead and put your name on the waitlist before you even park. There's a lot, plus street parking throughout the neighborhood. And who knows, you may want to walk given the serious portion sizes. We were so stuffed with our main dishes that we could only get through two of the three pancakes in the gluten-free apple cinnamon pancakes; the overstuffed belly was worth it. The other delight was the chicken fried steak, which was perfectly fried. Our only complaint would be about the biscuits; ask for extra gravy on the side, and that's not going to be a problem. If you have picky eaters by the way, the frittata is customizable, so no excuses! And again, put your name on the waitlist. The patio looks straight out onto Sloan's Lake, so the dining room hums with a packed Saturday energy. The staff leans into the occasion: two servers in brunch-themed shirts, our waiter in a Tito's polo, and a hostess whose low-slung jeans sent me straight back to high school. The wait was very long, but we had a large party. Most everything was good. Honestly, all of it is good, except one thing. The potatoes. Are they hash browns? Are they mashed potatoes? Everyone at the table was commenting on them. They are also over seasoned with some chive flavor. They appear as if they are supposed to be a sort of hash brown patty type thing, but they were mushy, and I don't know anyone who wants chive flavored mashed potatoes for breakfast. This matters a lot to me as good hash browns are a big part of breakfast and they are not hard. I think they are overthinking the breakfast potato. If they had a normal hash brown option that was anything other than these odd mashed potato cake things, then it would have been five stars. the lox benedict was fantastic. Weird note - loved watching the bartenders - very clean and loved that they had separate coffee pitchers for all of the milk alternatives when making lattes. Had been wanting to try Ruperts at the Edge for a while after hearing all the buzz. Went on a Saturday, and it was busy, as expected. We were told the wait would be around 20-25 minutes. Bar seating is first-come, first-served, so we lucked out when two spots opened up minutes after we arrived. After we settled in, our friendly bartender brought us menus and asked if it was our first time at Ruperts. When we shared it was, we asked what some of her menu favorites were to help us narrow down our choices from the breakfast/lunch menu. They make their own corned beef, so I went with Rupert's Classic Reuben with fries. I asked for the 1000 Island on the side (to dip my fries!) Because Ruperts uses Gruyère cheese instead of Swiss, the sandwich was already creamy and packed with flavor. Tempted by the framed ad for their giant cinnamon roll, my bestie & I split half a roll for dessert and took the other half home. I have passed my that strip mall on Sheridan at least a 100 times very really paid attention to what establishment are in there. My friend suggested Rupert's for brunch on a Thursday morning. I was surprised to see how many people were dining in and on the patio when we arrived at 9:30am. I got an iced chai with almond milk. It was delicious I almost drank it all before my meal arrived. I also ordered the steak and eggs, since I am dairy-free it was one of the only dishes I could find that I wouldn't have to ask for a modification. The potatoes cakes were delicious - like a fried mashed potato patty which reminded of what my parents use to make growing up. The steak was large so I ended up taking it to-got but ate the eggs and sourdough toast. My friends got the corned beef has and the classic Benedict. Both enjoyed their meals as well. Torn between three and four, but I'm going to give them a four because the very first time I came in here a few years back they blew me away. I haven't enjoyed it as much in recent years, but it is still pretty good. Prices keep going up, but that is true no matter where you go. Service here tends to be fast. I have been wanting to try Ruperts since we moved to the Highlands and I sure am glad we finally made it here! It certainly won't be the last. From the seating by the lake (and being able to see downtown Denver), to the perfect breakfast (veggie hash for me; corned beef for the hubby) and Megan's great service...it was the highlight of our Sunday. Staff immediately brought water out for my pup, and were very attentive and friendly to her. Came across this place randomly through Yelp and overall, it's an excellent place if you're craving for some delicious brunchie food! Went in on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. Seems to be a popular spot as it's right across from Sloan's lake. We gave our phone number and got on the list -quoted about 35 minutes for a group of 2. Overall, we waited for around 50 minutes and inquired multiple times. The worker said she gave us a call, but we never received one. There was some confusion over us and another party with a similar name. I was talking to the worker and she just walked away mid coversation. Luckily there was another worker who asked us if we were helped and immediately seated us as there were a bunch of tables open. This is busy place. And remember they close daily at 2 PM. The menu is pretty limited. But everything we had was very tasty. We did ask about a build your own and the waitress ignored the question and made her suggestion of a sandwich. So, I'm not sure if that can or cannot be done. If not, it definitely should be an option. The waitress also has you pay for your bill on her handheld machine. I thought that was a great idea until she handed me the machine and walked off to take care of other customers. The machine wanted some code put in it... I didn't know what to do when she returned. She said oh yeah I have to do that. After I sat there for probably five minutes, trying to figure out what I needed to do. Definitely should not walk away from the table when she admitted to the other people in our party that the handheldhandheld machine is not user-friendly. I was still so full from yesterday's dinner that I just ordered a la carte. I ordered their apple cinnamon pancakes, turkey bacon, and a fruit cup. The apple cinnamon pancakes were definitely delicious. I'd order that again over regular pancakes! The turkey bacon was good on the healthier side. Lol. I loved my cup of strawberries too! Ruperts seems to be one of the more popular breakfast locations near Sloan Lake as it sits directly across the street from the lake/park. There is definitely a wait on the weekend, we arrived shortly after 10am on a Saturday and waited about 20 minutes for the first available table which happened to be on the patio (late May so it was very pleasant outside). I got the breakfast sandwich and my husband got the Sloan's breakfast. Both were very tasty and the hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside without being soggy. These two dishes are our breakfast go to's and we were not disappointed. Overall, Ruperts is a cute breakfast spot. Make sure to get here early or plan to wait a little bit for a table. read more

One of our party's food arrived several minutes later (it was waiting but nobody available to deliver it). Prices for mimosas by the bottle great! Not enough juice was delivered for each bottle. My wife and I moved to Colorado almost 2 years ago from the the south east. We have had the hardest time finding good cooked breakfast. Ruperts is some of the best breakfast I have ever had!! I would've given it a 3.5 and rounded up for the service which was amazing (shoutout to Christina). We ordered the Southwest Benedict, the Veggie Hash, the Banana Nut French Toast, and a side of grits. The flavors were different and a solid breakfast, but nothing wow. The banana nut French toast tasted like a good banana bread, but not really like French toast. The table next to us got burritos and those were giant! The location has a great view of Denver. The parking lot is mall, but we were did not have any trouble finding a parking spot. We called ahead to make a reservation, so we did not have to wait when we arrived. It seems like their customer turnover was quick, so even the people who walked in did not seem to be waiting for very long. Our server was really friendly and welcoming. She also refilled our water frequently. We ordered the spicy Bloody Mary, the classic breakfast, the breakfast sandwich, the vegetarian breakfast burrito, and the truffle scramble. Everything was out quickly. The drink was outstanding. The rest of the food was good, but not maybe not exceptional. I would consider it well prepared diner classics. The price point was excellent, It was a much better value compared to some other brunch places.
