Finally. I have been on a hunt for good eats in Denver and at least we have a good brunch place. I've seen this place as we walk Sloan lake often and luckily they're dog friendly. We had the mimosa bucket, he got the banana nut bread french toast and I got the corned beef hash. Both were really good and had great flavor. I got the potato cakes which were pretty good. Overall, we were very satisfied and the service was great. We've decided this will be one of our go to brunch spots. Highly recommend. read more

Would give this place a firm 3.5 stars but I'll round up for kindness. Fast wait list for a saturday morning although would have been nice to join it online and efficient service. Food was overall good: I got the biscuits and gravy, which were a little over peppered but great meat. Eggs well cooked. My partner got a custom scramble which they mixed up the cheese on and kind of a small portion but otherwise great! Lovely to have 2 pancakes as a side that comes with it, although they weren't the fluffiest. The Potato Cakes were by far the best part of the meal, so unique and good! I've thought a few time to come to Rupert's, but every time I call the wait is about 40 mins. And when I'm calling, I'm already hungryyy. This time I slightly planned ahead and called, and they let us put our name down on the waitlist via phone!! There's indoor and outdoor seating, so they'll ask for your preference. If you have time to kill, there's a lake across the way to take a little walk. We ordered the chicken fried steak and southwest Benedict. Both were delish. I love gravy and even more so on biscuits. Biscuits were nice and moist and gravy just topped it off. I also love potatoes in any form and their potato cakes were a nice little twist on morning potatoes/hash brown. We didn't order any alcohol but it seemed like everyone around us had the buckets on the table for the champagne and mimosas. Instead we all got coffee. The iced mocha wasn't too too sweet and we all gulped that down in a few mins. Rupert's is worth the try. But don't forget to CALL ahead and put your name on the WAITLIST. Tom, my server was exemplary, and knew exactly what my Aspen, a service dog needed; CRISPY BACON, I'm a veggie and he brought the more incredible eggs benedict with spinach and delectable sauce, the most incredible potato pancakes and I am NOT a big eater, I ate it ALL!! Tom's service was exemplary, every touch, every need without asking, I'm not a coffee drinker and caught on before I could ask for Chai, huge cup. Tom allowed me time to get settled and work on wifi. Then I had to ask, since growing up in Europe and South America, I know food and taste; "My compliments to the Chef!" Tom stated it was the owner's day in the kitchen and told me about his past. The food was beyond Soulful Food, I felt invigorated and healthy, Aspen my service dog was very happy with the nice plate of delicious crispy bacon, Rupert's, has a lovely patio, dogs are invited along with families and children, parking is easy, and right by Sloan's lake for a walk-off-the delicious food with your dog of course! Overall I would say the food was average. We did get the banana bread French toast for the table and that was quite good. We sat outside which is pretty much in the parking lot which was pretty loud. Regardless it was nice that they had outdoor seating, since dogs are allowed and you got a view of Sloans lake. The staff was very nice and the service good. Long waits for what feels like a divey breakfast joint. Nothing terribly special, staff was kind and delightful but truly nothing to write home about. Got a spicy bloody and a bottle (as they don't do bottomless) for mimosas! They do offer a few juice options. I got the classic sloans breakfast. Their potato cakes were pretty yummy! Next time the three of us (we all were disappointed in the quality of the ahi) will order the "poke" bowl because of all the nice items in it however ordering with a different protein. I'm 78 years old and have eaten poke/ahi many hundreds of times and to me here the ahi was not good quality. I do not say this often, and it has been awhile since I have, but I was impressed! From the space, to the food, to the service we were both knocked out of our socks! We ordered two of the specials. Sausage quiche, perfectly seasoned with the right amount of spinach. We also got the French toast stuffed with lemon cream cheese, tart and didn't even need syrup because it was so good. I ordered a hot cocoa and could tell from the first sip it was made from real chocolate, ghirardelli it turns out. I opted for no whip cream and it came with a chocolate design. Cute, delicious, and it had a sticker over the mouth part! Our server was a delight. Attentive but not annoying and polite. He was always there when we needed her and she recommended the amazing dishes we ate. Even getting our check back was neat and impressed my OCD side. It was a rainy morning so we sat inside. OHHHH MYY GAWDDD I'm in love Made some reservations here with coworkers since it was going to be a beautiful weekend. They don't take reservations , you have to get put on the list and just wait. BUT totally worth the wait!! Plus , you can enjoy the beautiful view of Sloan's Lake while you wait. Amazingly priced mimosas! $4.50 for one and 16$ for the bottle. For food I got the lox benedict. The food came pretty quickly ....and oh my god it was amazing! The eggs were perfectly poached , runny in the middle. English muffin was toasted perfectly , veggies were cooked perfectly and everything was seasoned perfectly. It also comes with a side of potato cakes that were yummy! Props to the cook!! I actually ended up coming here the next day with more friends and got the veggie benedict with grits. Once again everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. For the price you get an amazing about of food. You will leave feeling full and happy and probably want to stay here for 4 hours ordering more bottles of mimosas. I will surely be back!
