This is the sister location of the louis' diner in littleton. At first i was really skeptical of a 2nd location or if they were even related. I guess the golden location is owned by the littleton owners son! In any event very good food. I got the chicken fried steak and eggs. The gravy was amazing! Prices are also just as reasonable at the littleton location. It's kind of in an office park and parking can be tricky but it's worth the effort! read more

Louis' Cafe - Chorizo Green Chili - Mexican Near Me - Golden, Colorado

Good veggie skillet and ambiance. Their service was good and my food was enough for two meals. They have a wide array of options and are in an area of town that doesn't have many other restaurants so it's great they are here. My friend comes here pretty much every week and really enjoys it. They really have a warm familial atmosphere :) read more

Recent discovery. Awesome food, excellent service. Comprehensive menu. New favorite breakfast restaurant,

Average diner style food at a slightly higher price point. Food is average with no unique flavor profile to separate themselves from other diners. Staff is nice and attentive. I came a couple times trying breakfast items and everything tasted basic. I was a little surprised at the price point especially with an older adult customer base. I ordered a burrito and one waffle & spent $32. So keep that in mind that you can prob find the same taste and environment for $5-$10 dollars less per person read more

This place is awesome. Huge portions. Everything was super tasty. Staff was great - accommodated the child and made us a fresh pot of decaf. We had the tamales and the Golden Benedict. On the weekends, they do pozole, which I really need to figure out how to take home for the evening. Green chili was good too. The location is a little weird as when you drive in, it doesn't feel like you are in a place where a restaurant might be (but you are, so go in). Super simple look and feel inside. Can't wait to come back, but bring an appetite. read more

Great chile rellenos. Service is always fast and friendly. Easy parking. I like to go for a late breakfast/early lunch.

Service was great but the food was fairly dismal. Avocado on top of my eggs, Benedict came out, not just a little discolored or a spot or two here but very brown with black spots on each slice quite an egregious and gross mistake. The food overall beyond that was hardly even up to par with average Diner food it got the job done, but really wasn't that great read more

This place a hidden gem. Food is delicious and staff is super friendly. They have the best breakfast skillets in a 31 mile radius. I recommend everything and anything on that menu. read more

Louis' is the Best! Every time I come for breakfast, I know what to expect...Great Food and service with a smile! Of course, I'm always torn on what to get, because EVERYTHING is so good!....and without gouging your wallet...Whether it be this location or the Littleton location, the Louis' breakfast experience can't be beat!....I'm upgrading my previous 4 star rating to the coveted 5 star rating for their consistently great food and service! read more

Louis' Cafe - Remnants of my smothered Bacon Burrito!..Great Coffee too!! - Mexican Near Me - Golden, Colorado

Good food, the service was really, really bad. We waited for a very long time to be asked what drinks we would like, and even longer to place our order. I asked for Tabasco twice and was ignored. It took forever to get our check as well. They were busy, yes, but did not seem short staffed. They also did not want to give a group of 6 a large open table for a reason that made no sense to them or us. The biscuits and gravy combo was good, and my son enjoyed the meat and eggs. The price was not terrible. I certainly hope they were just having a bad day as the service was very bad. The food was good. read more

An awesome breakfast cafe with all the classics and some mexican choices too. I went with the eggs, sausage, hashed potatoes and pancakes. It hit the spot after our early morning hike. We arrived shortly after 9 and the place was full, however, we were seated quickly. Our orders were taken and within 15 minutes our food was delivered. The staffis friendly and attentive. The prices were normal, not astronomical like what you find on downtown Golden. I appreciated the cleanliness and how the staff worked together to keep thinga flowing and clean. Absolutely will revisit! read more

Just a basic shopping center Cafe with from scratch food. Really enjoyed our breakfasts orders. The potatoes were clearly homemade, and quite tasty. Eggs are well cooked including eggs benedict and an omelette. Would definitely go back again and recommend it for good basic fare. read more

I love their breakfast so much. Specifically the chili rellano breakfast plate. And they have the best country (hash brown) potatoes i have ever had. My only complaint is their espresso machine seems to not be working more than it is. And i love a mocha in the morning. But it wont keep me away! read more

After a sunrise hike through Red Rocks, we decided to stop by for an early breakfast. This cafe is relatively small, but there were enough tables to keep us socially distanced, while several people came in to pick up their orders. Their menu is expansive -- they have baked foods and vegan options too. In addition to traditional breakfast items, they also offered a variety of tex-mex fusion dishes too, like breakfast burritos. I decided to order one of their skillets, which had potatoes and several toppings on a heated skillet. My meal also came with a stack of pancakes, which I didn't even touch because my meal was so filling. For less than $15, you really get a generous portion! With a Yelp check-in, you even get a free muffin! Although our server didn't check on us frequently, we still had a great meal at Louis' Cafe. read more

I have heard nothing but rave reviews about this place so when a neighbor and I were looking for an alternative place for a late breakfast, I suggested Louis Cafe. We arrived around 10:50 and were seated immediately. The ambiance was casual and appeared clean. My neighbor ordered 2 pancakes with sausage and I ordered 2 basted eggs with bacon and crispy French toast. Our orders arrived shortly after we placed them. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Ample parking in front of the Cafe. All in all, I was pleased and plan on returning next week with my sister. read more

My husband & I went to Louis' Cafe on Monday for late breakfast (we live in Grand Lake), and we both had the Greek Skillet & boy was that ever delicious & their green chili is gluten free. This cafe has consistently been really good & great service & you really cannot best the prices. We are gluten free & can order the GF toast. The only thing I can think of improving on is to make sure to give some butter with the GF toast. Our server Mariela? (Not sure if I am spelling her name correctly) has been there for 8 years & has always been great...very nice & efficient. We highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Louis' is one of Golden's local hidden gems, located in a quiet business area, right next to the Post Office! If y'all really know me you know I'm a sucker for some goooood French toast. Well, Louis' Cafe's nailed it! Their Hawaiian French toast is crispy, coconut crusted French toast topped with fresh pineapple, cantaloupe, watermelon, pecans, coconut flakes, & whipped cream. They also serve up authentic Mexican cuisine plus classic breakfast staples like skillets and pancakes all day long! Their service is fantastic, so this is a great spot to grab a solid breakfast if you're in a pinch! read more

Great Saturday Morning at Louis Cafe. My family and I came here for breakfast and it was nothing short of awesome. We came in and got seated right away. Our waitress was so attentive and made sure our drinks stayed full the entire time. Coffees refilled without having to ask. To get to the food, our meals came quickly and great portions for a great price. Honestly if you're looking for a tasty hole in the wall, Louis is the place to go! We left very full and satisfied! Great service and friendly staff! Definitely will be back and recommend! read more

Was seated, got coffee, waited for waitress to come back so I could get regular half and half because all they have at the table is flavored junk. Waited 15 minutes. Got up and left. Can't tell you how the food is, but I can tell you the service sucks. read more

The coffee is very bland and luke warm. My eggs and bacon were too. The hash browns have no seasoning. The only thing that was really good and flavorful was the cinnamon French toast. Service was ok; the ladies were pleasant. Really, this is an average coffee shop. read more

Finally made it back! It's a very busy Sunday and the atmosphere has a great energy. The service was friendly if a bit slow but, given the table of 8 or so beside me, I can understand. Checked in to Yelp to start my breakfast with the free muffin and chose the Cranberry Orange. So very good! Light and not overly filling at all. I did not get too much of the Orange but, it was still quite tasty. Reading my original review, I see that I had the Rellenos with green chile and realize now that the green chile is, unfortunately for me, not vegetarian...I so wanted to get these again because they are delicious but, not even the same without the chile. So, I opted for the veggie breakfast burrito which was perfectly sized, not over stuffed and filled with fresh grilled veggies. I love when I get a burrito like this and can taste the veggies - often it just gets lost in the mix. Salsa is still on point and so good, the fresh tortillas are amazing, and the hash browns cooked to perfection. Great place to stop in for a to-go coffee or tea and pastry too! Next time, I will need to check the lunch menu out for the veggie melt sandwich. The lunch menu is quite extensive for the non-vegetarians and offers a great variety. Stop in for your free muffin and a coffee when you're in the Golden area!!! read more
