Little disappointed with their breakfast sandwich.
    Kai L.

We came in early on a Sat for breakfast and good thing 'cause this place filled out fast with a line out the front door. Someone said this is how it all weekend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's quaint, bright, with plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's more room up the stairs in the back where the bathrooms are at, but those were closed off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Seems like they may have events there in the evenings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's also outside seating and a large patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their coffee was strong, good, and we appreciate the milk alternatives. The scones were fluffy and tasty. Not that impressed with the breakfast sandwich though. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall the vibe is very homey Golden/Denver.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Enjoyed people watching as locals strolled in with their pets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And it's a short walk to the Golden Farmers Market, so it's a perfect morning first stop.

Café 13 continues to be such a bright spot. The croissant egg sandwich is consistently delicious -- buttery, perfectly layered, and just the right balance of comforting and satisfying. Ellie, Talis, Tatum, and Kelly were wonderful today: friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind in a way that makes you want to linger a little longer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On many visits, I've also noticed how thoughtfully and thoroughly the café is cleaned, which makes my germ-conscious heart very happy[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great food, great people, and a space that feels truly cared for -- always a pleasure to stop in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Will always hit this spot when visiting Golden! The pesto grilled cheese is amazing, as well as their coffees. Would recommend!

We were visiting Colorado and stopped here for some coffee and food. Their seasonal speciality, blueberry latte, is actually very good and I highly recommend it. The Aussie scramble is very good and they load it up with bacon bits. Everything tasted fresh and wasn't too heavy. The Tex Mex scramble was a large portion and 2 of us couldn't finish our portions, but still it was very good and the salsa it came with was tasty. We stopped here the following day again to grab some matchas and another iced coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely give this cute place a try when visiting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's order at the counter and find a seat. We sat outside which was lovely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We stopped by on a Saturday morning to pick up breakfast to-go. We ordered two sandwiches--one on a croissant and the other on a bagel--along with a matcha latte. Everything was delicious, and given how busy the place was, it was clear that many others felt the same! However, the wait in line was quite long since there was only one woman taking orders. After ordering, it still took a while to receive our food and drinks. Expect to wait both in line and for your order--this is a very busy establishment.

9/9/24 Café 13 was a fantastic breakfast spot! My husband, mother-in-law, and I enjoyed the fully loaded avocado toast, a delicious coffee bun, (definitely get this to try if you're into a 'not too sweet' dessert option) and a phenomenal kombucha on tap! The latte was smooth and perfectly made. Service was quick, and we loved the self-seating option outside. Highly recommend this cozy café to anyone looking for a relaxed and tasty start to their day!

Lovely place to grab food/pastries after a hike! It can get pretty busy on the weekends, but there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Can't go wrong with their avocado toast or Cobb salad. Go early for their pastry selection!

Super moist pumpkin loaf and flakiness of the cinnamon sugar pull apart.

Adorable cafe, with a beautiful outdoor courtyard for additional seating. Their selections of breads and pastries are amazing, and they did not disappoint! I wanted to have the vegan breakfast burrito but I noticed it included hashbrowns in it. I double checked to see if they can do the hashbrowns on a pan and they said no it was cooked on a flattop where they cook meats! I was bummed, but I switched my order to equally good options. I ordered a yogurt, parfait, a slice of pumpkin loaf and a Cinnamon Sugar Pull Apart Roll. My friend got the loaded avocado toast. I ordered decaf iced mocha with a pump of their seasonal sticky bun. My friend had some issues with her coffee. She wanted half calf and requested a shot on the side and they would not do it for her. It was a bit frustrating and disappointing. Other than that a great place to go.

Came here on a Friday for lunch and it was very busy! You order when you walk in and can sit in a small seating area or outside. This is the perfect cafe space if you want to have a quick snack with a friend or come study. Our food came out very quickly which was a plus! I would highly recommend the raspberry chocolate scone, definitely a 10/10! We also ordered a BLT and a Breakfast burrito which were other ok, standard for small cafe food. The drinks (iced chai and matcha) were both pretty average as well.

I said it was the best burger I ever ate. My husband, whose hobbies include crushing joy with logic, said, "No it wasn't. It was an ordinary burger. You only think it's amazing because you almost died." Had to settle that debate, so we tried it without the kill-me-hike warmup this time. Food I don't like my burgers swimming in their own juicy filth. And these burgers are dry, juicy, beefy, and didn't almost drown in their own fat. Even the bun (brioche, I think) stayed dry as summer heat. Plus, their fries are that kind that almost seem battered. Crisp on the outside, potato-y on the inside. We also tried the deviled eggs, which was a nice update to an old classic. Atmosphere This is perfectly casual with outdoor dining (great for dogs). Big umbrellas and coverage from the summer sun. I've never eaten inside because why. Service Perfectly competent. Nobody gave us a pony. Nobody accidentally set us on fire. The food arrived quickly, while the check took its own scenic route through the restaurant. Everyone was friendly. No complaints. Value Expensive burgers at $18-22 each. But I only have burgers a few times a year, so when I do, I'm going to demand one of these from now on.

They were busy but churning tables in and out. Limited parking is available in front but we did what most were doing, parked on the side of the road across from the restaurant. It was great to see how young people (teenagers and early 20 years olds) were working at this local spot. They were also doing an amazing job being attentive. We got the tea of the Tillman drink to soothe our thirst after a hike and the summer heat. It was tart but refreshing. I have never had a drink like it before. I highly recommend trying it. We ordered chilaquiles, breakfast burrito, and the mushroom omelette. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and came away full! If you're in the area around breakfast or lunch time, stop in. They have deserts and hand pies to-go. We didn't try them but they looked delicious.

Every drink and food station scans your card, and drinks are charged by the ounce, so you can pour as little or as much as you'd like. They even have pre-salted glasses ready for margaritas! There are several vendors offering everything from sushi and burgers to mac and cheese, Mexican food, ice cream, and more, so there's something for everyone. We ordered the loaded nachos, which came with chili, cheese, corn, and pico de gallo. They were really good, although I think they would have been even better with a side of guacamole and sour cream. The outdoor seating area has plenty of tables, lots of fans, and covered sections that provide welcome relief from the Colorado sun. The views are another highlight--you can overlook Clear Creek with the mountains in the background, and even see the Coors Brewery from the patio. Overall, it's a fun atmosphere, a very unique experience, and definitely worth checking out if you're in Golden.
