We had a really great time here for Saturday night dinner, came in a little before 5 and Karina took really good care of us. We just made it a few minutes before the end of happy hour and was able to give the Pork Green Chili Cheese Fries and the Fried Pickles a try. Amazing prices for their happy hour too! We had burgers, the salmon risotto and the steak sandwich. Everything was so tasty. If I had to absolutely nitpick, the fried pickle is the chip style that I love but it was way over seasoned. When the Latina in the group tells you it's too salty, that's telling you something. I tried the pickle on the burger and it was already brined salty, then if you bread that and fry it and then season it... it was unbelievably salty.... Overall the salmon was well cooked, the burgers juicy and the steak sandwich super tender. The bar decor was super pretty and the service amazing.... I would definitely be back and highly recommend to check out their happy hour!

Stopped in for lunch with my son having never been here before. We were pleasantly surprised by a menu with lots of food and cocktail options and fast friendly service. It was pretty packed on a Friday at lunchtime, which I think it a good sign that they are reliably tasty. My cocktail was unique and our sandwiches were really delicious. I'd pick the fries over the chips next time, and there will definitely be a next time.

We were in the area for the weekend and found this place on yelp. The menu had me at pesto deviled eggs and lavender bees knees. Our meal was delicious, we loved that they had at least 10 tv's with a different game playing on each tv, sublime was playing in the background while we ate , and Cristin our server and bar tender did a great job. For my second drink I requested a cucumber martini with Hendricks, something that isn't on the menu but should be! It was delicious, perfectly balanced!

Nice juicy fat burgers. Crispy tasty chicken wings. Good beer selection. Good service. TVs to watch the game.

We decided to check this place out for restaurant week ($35 tier), and I think it's safe to say we'll be back! Service was quick, but not rushed. Food was plentiful and delicious (hot shrimp, apple & squash salad, steak frites, the night's special prime rib, steak salad, s'mores pot de creme, and bread pudding)! Drinks were hit (spritz & giggles) & miss (dead flowers - my husband said he couldn't taste the lavender). We also weren't kept to the 1.5hr time limit since their tables had cleared out by the time we finished eating, but be aware they do limit you if they're a busy as they were when we arrived at 6:30p on a Saturday.

Overall, I found our lunch at the Cast Iron Tavern to be expensive and underwhelming. They are dog friendly on their patio, which is a huge plus, but the patio is not shaded and it just bakes in the sun. Our server was super friendly and is the reason that I gave it three stars instead of two the food was just OK my husband and I split a wedge salad and a burger And my son had the kids chicken tenders and fries. I was really surprised that they charged us for a side of barbecue sauce for his fries. I have never been to a restaurant that charges for a single side of sauce with chicken tenders, but I guess the Cast Iron Tavern is it. The only way I could really see us going back is if we went for drinks and maybe an appetizer on a shaded day when we had our dog with us, but I don't think that we would order off the full menu again.

There's only about 4 options to choose from. It makes it easy for everyone in your group to get exactly what they want and just hang out. The best part is the location. The outdoor seating overlooks Clear Creek, so you can sit for hours watching people float down the river and enjoy the atmosphere. It's a great spot to relax with friends or family. The only downside is the food. We tried a few different things, and nothing really stood out. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't the reason I'd come back. Overall, I'd return for the atmosphere, drinks, and convenience of the food hall setup--not necessarily for the food itself.

The downstairs outdoor patio is pet friendly, which was perfect for us and Luna. (The upstairs patio is not pet friendly because that's where the sushi bar is located.) The staff does a great job staying on top of clearing dishes and wiping down tables, so everything stayed clean despite how busy it was. When you arrive, they check your ID, stamp your hand to show you're 21+, and give you a card that's used throughout your visit. Every drink and food station scans your card, and drinks are charged by the ounce, so you can pour as little or as much as you'd like. They even have pre-salted glasses ready for margaritas! If you're unsure how the system works, staff members are nearby and happy to help. The food selection is impressive. There are several vendors offering everything from sushi and burgers to mac and cheese, Mexican food, ice cream, and more, so there's something for everyone. We ordered the loaded nachos, which came with chili, cheese, corn, and pico de gallo. They were really good, although I think they would have been even better with a side of guacamole and sour cream. The outdoor seating area has plenty of tables, lots of fans, and covered sections that provide welcome relief from the Colorado sun. The views are another highlight--you can overlook Clear Creek with the mountains in the background, and even see the Coors Brewery from the patio. Overall, it's a fun atmosphere, a very unique experience, and definitely worth checking out if you're in Golden.

There's an outdoor garden with plenty of shade. There's indoor sitting as well if you prefer. The service was excellent! The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and let us sample a few beers before we made our selection. We were really in the groove. Enjoying our carefully selected beers, exhausted and hungry, we anxiously awaited our food selection. We decided that we would share a hand tossed, oven fried pizza, ( well that's the image we had in our imaginations). I was already planning on what to drink next, since my first yummy beer was crunching my thirst and hunger at the same time. And then it happened. Our pizza arrived. Right away we could tell it was a frozen pizza, but not the new fancy kinda frozen pizza, you know the ones that are, "not too bad for a frozen pizza", pizza. This was more like, I'm in middle school and, "this is all that's left in the fridge", kinda of frozen pizza. The pizza was so bad that we didn't finish it. The salt and bad sauce ruined the taste of the beers. And my anticipated second beer evaporated into a memory
