They have food, appetisers, beverages, and a full bar. Show up bring your pals, bring your mate or fly solo! Find your own seating whether it's at high top tables, outdoor seating, a couch, table for four, and good for small or large groups. We had pickled veggies and fruit with beer and cider drinks.. so different but oh so delicious!! You're gonna feel comfy and at home in the relaxing environment! It's a gem!! Went because of the great reviews, left because of the service. Just an awful experience overall, and honestly the worst service we had during our entire week in Colorado. We were looking for a quick bite in Golden and unfortunately ended up at Miners Saloon. After seating ourselves, our server took his sweet time making his way over. We ordered the charcuterie board and the whipped ricotta, the former wildly overpriced. The charcuterie board was fine, nothing to write home about. The ricotta, though, was missing in action (we never got it), just like our server, who never once checked on us after taking our order. I think he said maybe three words to us the entire time we were there. We left hungry, frustrated, and disappointed by the service (or lack thereof). read more

My wife and I stopped in the Miners Saloon for a small lunch on a Friday. They offer a lunch special (1/2 a sandwich and soup) which my wife ordered. I wasn't too hungry and had a bowl of the wild game chili. Both of us had a pint of Coors Banquet. This is a really cool atmosphere and overall environment. Lovely bar just off the main strip in golden. We came in in the middle of a downpour and loved sitting at the open windows watching the storm. The cocktails were good and the pretzel bites were excellent. The female server we had was such a bright and wonderful person, really a gem. She told us about her plan to become a pilot and I hope to see her in the cockpit on my next flight to or from Denver. We spent half a day in Golden and well the other restaurants and bars are nice, this one felt like it perfectly split the difference between a locals only and destination spot. Also, and this is a very specific thing, I absolutely love that they had cloth towels in the bathroom. That's a really nice touch that makes it feel like a much more elevated experience than you would expect from a saloon. read more

Make sure you go through miners alley to get to the entrance. What a phenomenal saloon. It says bar food but it's quite sophisticated. Wild game chili is sourced from an elk farm. Pretty cool. The bison beer brat was plain but still great. My fave was the French dip with a side of green chili. Definitely put the chili on the sandwich. Phenomenal. Lovely service. Amy is unforgettable! I've been coming to Miners Saloon for 5years and they never disappoint. They specialize in links, sandwiches and wonderful soups/salads. That might sound like a limited menu but that is not the case. Their sausages plates are great way to try different types of meats from elk, duck, bison and boar. Their house mustard and pickled veggies give this plate a nice kick. If you are in the mood for a bowl, I'd highly recommend the spicy pork green chili. This is definitely spicy but in a fun way, you will have a nice glow after eating this delicious chili. I love pairing this with their turkey club as the avocado and chili goes great together. Great decor to feel like you are in a mine and servers are constantly checkin to make sure you have everything you need. read more

We stopped here for drinks before dinner and I helped myself to a little appetizer - the pretzel bites! I asked for extra salt and really enjoyed them dipped in the beer cheese. Their drink menu is extensive with tons of unique spirits to choose from. The inside is a wild west vibe and a lot of fun. They had diet coke for me but the drink menu was SO hard to resist. We visited on a Thursday night and sat at the bar. The service was great. One female bartender who was training another female. Both provided great service. Drinks were great! We ordered the Charcuterie board, the Wild Game (Venison) chili, and the Bon Mi. The Charcuterie came out well before the other food so we had time to enjoy it. Really nice portions of cheese and a decent amount of salami and other meat too. House made pickled veggies, mustard, fig jam, and more with a thin, but sturdy, house made crackers. We came in here late night for a Bachelorette and it was the only thing really open. We were able to snag a dip trio which was fantastic, and a perfect snack to end the night. We had a couple drinks and they were all made super well. The bartenders knew our party was there for a bachelorette so they came over and told us last call to grab our night cap which was appreciated. The hubs and I caught up with friends on a weekend day. The service was friendly and fast. The food seems to be pre-prepared which is totally fine, just limited in any modifications (more an fyi than an issue). I got the veggie wrap and picked out the onions, no biggie. It was a delicious veggie wrap and went well with the sour lemon beer on tap I sampled. Everyone else got a turkey sammie and we're happy with their selection. Nice off the Main Street Bar, great beer selection, the large Jalepeno Pretzel with Bbe Cheese and mustard. Pretzel served hot, soft and very good. Service is great, staff very friendly and attentive. Definitely a great stop for a beer and snack while shopping. One more thing, the bathroom is awesome, it's like stepping back in time. Have visited twice, sat at the bar both times. The first time it took forever for the bartender to even look our way, and there was barely anyone at the bar. The male bartender was too busy talking to the guy at the end of the bar. When he did finally acknowledge our existence, I asked about a drink only to be talked down to in regards to my question. He didn't even suggest a different drink, he was just incredibly rude and condescending. I was so put off by the situation that I can't remember if I actually enjoyed the drink, or if we got/enjoyed any food. The second time we stopped in was this past Sunday. It was fairly busy, and there were quite a few people at the bar. Same male bartender, same disregard. We weren't even given a menu. The bartenders were too busy talking to each other to take any notice of us at all. We sat there for maybe 10 minutes (being totally ignored), then decided to take our patronage elsewhere. There's too many really decent places in Golden to be treated like this... Especially for no reason at all. We won't be walking into this establishment again. 3.5 stars. My partner and I came here and found parking in a small lot nearby. We walked over, and it really did feel like we were entering a saloon. Didn't get to see the indoors because we found a table out front. It took some time to wander around and figure out how table service worked. Staff members were a bit dismissive, but great that they keep busy! The reason I rounded up to 4 stars was for the food. I'll try anything that's akin to a hot dog only twice per year (generally don't like them) and thought the Chili Gourmet Dog (with wild game chili & Welsh white cheddar) was the perfect foray back into this type of cuisine. I actually really enjoyed it, especially alongside the coleslaw and pickle. Love the wide selection of beer and the neighboring whiskey bar. This was actually my first trip to Golden. Coming from a ton of big cities, I think I'm just not accustomed to the small town vibe. But you can't argue with the views. They're absolutely beautiful here, which is a main reason to sit outside. While the rest of the menu wasn't appealing, I'd come here again for the same combo of Gourmet Dog and IPA! read more

This place is pretty much my new hideout and you can't beat their lunch $10 special. Half a panini with a bowl of tomato soup. Delish! I picked the Turkey Melt and it was one of the best I've had in sometime. Hot, grilled to perfection with melty cheese dunked in steamy hot tomato soup... geeze, I need to go get another one right now just thinking about it. They also have a Daily HH Daily 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm with $1.00 off draft beer and cocktails and $2.00 off wine. They do have a good sized section for outdoor seating but since it's starting to get cold and snow, I'm not sure how much longer that will be available.
