We enjoyed our afternoon here! It was our final day of our trip and we wanted a spot our group of 6 could post up for a while to hang out and plan our next trip. This worked out great. SPACE This is a huuuuge space with lots of indoor seating, a fireplace inside, and tonssss of outdoor seating with a live music stage. We found a picnic table a bit further away from the main area that was quieter. Note that dogs and kids are allowed here so it can get pretty busy and loud! There is a dog park right next to it. So many cute pups to look at! The wifi here didn't work at all for us - note that if you're looking to use wifi here. DRINKS They had a variety of beers, as well as a few NA/GF options: a GF beer, a seltzer, kombucha, and nitro cold brew coffee. SERVICE This was our only meh moment - our beertender was quite brusk and gruff. He scoffed at us asking for ice in our cold brew coffee. FOOD They had two food trucks onsite when we visited: a crock pot theme, and a wood fired pizza. Our table got a wood fired pizza to split and they loved it.

Great for locals and out of towners alike! I remember back in the day when they started introducing food trucks and then expanded the outdoor seating a'la COVID. Then to make it even better added more beers and even sodas! I swear every time I return there is always something new. Staff has always been excellent, down to earth and so welcoming! I love the name, logo and everything the brewery encompasses. It's situated next a riding and hiking trail too. Elevation doesn't look that bad either. New Terrain Brewing is good for a solo run and even with a group too. Everyone including our puppies are bound to have a great time!

Lovely brewery that happened to have an outdoor gear pop up the day we went. It was a great space with many tables inside and outside, including a lovely fire place inside. The beer selection was expansive and about half were great. There were also some unique fun flavors and lots had awards. The beer flight trees were also fun!

Beautiful space that makes good beers. Cool vibes and customers. Just a chill place to grab a pint and potentially eat an amazing food truck. Tonight J Street was there and they make killer food.

Located in Golden, New Terrain gives an option for beers that do not belong to the Coors family. New Terrain was listed on Westword's 100 Bars for 2025. The place is spacious, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating options. It is dog friendly and many chose to bring their little ones as well. As summer approaches, may I suggest ordering at the Front Porch for faster service before entering into the main building as there is a queue line for beer in the main hall. I had a small taster of a recommended beer by the staff. As I am not a beer drinker, I could not tell you what it was, but it does taste better than many of its competitor's beers in Golden. New Terrain is a very happening place so go early and hold a spot for your party. As I mentioned before, lots of people, dogs, and kids with very limited parking.

If you need a quick getaway from Denver, this is the place! Beautiful views + It's huge! There is ample parking. The inside of the taproom has plenty of seating. The patio area is a vibe! Sometimes they have live music going which is really nice. They had multiple good trucks set up! We loved getting some fun treats to go with the tasty drinks. There is so many drink options and the bartenders were very friendly. Can't wait to come back soon!

Although I'm not much of a beer drinker, I enjoyed my visit here with discerning friends. We sat on the patio on a perfect autumn afternoon, admiring the views and ambiance. Good vibe all around. Flights are served most attractively on a spiral holder. There are many brews to choose from. We didn't try any food, but what we saw on other tables was enticing. I hope to visit again--especially when baby goats are present.

A fantastic place to hang out with friends while enjoying a great Beer! Service is always top notch and they usually have food trucks. This is our favorite brewery with the best views in Golden!

Huge spot with unlimited seats! We got a corner table so we wouldn't be bothered with our friends dog. Not the best views, but well spaced out from other guests. Their beers were also some of the best we had in Denver.

Very cool brewery. It has private parking but it was packed even on the road, and I got there around 5:30pm on a Wednesday! Beautiful place, inside/outdoor seating areas. Lots of beers to choose from. I got the hazy, it was delicious. They don't serve food but they did have a food truck available when we got there. It was bbq, it was just ok. Overall cool place with a great view!

If you don't mind a crowd and many children running around, this brewery is for you. New Terrain has many beer options. Tip: On crowded days, to skip the beer queue (yes, just like Disneyland rides), go to the Front Porch bar to the right of the main hall. Fast and friendly service. I tried the raspberry wit, Rubus Delciousus. It was tart and refreshing, as advertised. Our taproom wanderer shared this beer was the Suntrip with raspberry added. It is a dog-friendly place with food trucks if you plan on taking in all the action. Lots to see. There was a baby shower for a dad on my visit.

Our first brewery stop on our road trip to Denver! Although the place was busy and a full parking lot, we were able to find a spot outside (they have light misters that help keep you cool), and the lines moved quickly. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The beer was fresh, cold and they had a wide variety, including seltzers. The Hoppatropica IPA was my absolute favorite and I just had to take a four pack to go. Not overly hoppy, nice fruity finish and did not leave a bad aftertaste as some IPA's often do. There were two food trucks on site; we went with the one offering bowls, your choice of protein and a sauce. The portion was plentiful and it paired with the beer well. Lastly, the merch was perhaps some of the best of any brewery I've been to.

Once inside there is a first floor that has a few different food options as well as the pour your own beer options as well. In order to partake in the beer option, you need to get a card that you can tap to the machine and you pay per the ounce. They have other drinks beside beer on tap as well such as different types of cocktails. They have a great food selection. That includes many different varieties of food throughout the venue as well. The top floor also has a few additional beer options as well as food options. I decided to go with a barbecue option which I got a brisket sandwich which was really good as well as a side of fries and some of the barbecue sauce. I also got a beer on top from one of the local breweries. It was a chilly day out, but I still wanted to sit on the patio on the top deck, so we sat by a fireplace. They have a ton of different fireplaces, all throughout the top deck as well as the lower deck as well so sitting outside was an option for the time of the year that I was there which was March. Maybe in the dead of the winter they don't have this option but just keep that in mind. Anyways, I thought the view of the course brewery factory right across the way was really cool to see as well. The food was really good and I love getting beer by the ounce because if you don't like the beer, you can just get a different one and you don't have to make a whole glass pour every time you get one. I definitely would recommend the golden mill. It definitely seems like a place that a lot of locals hang out and there is a food or beverage option for everyone so even picky eaters would love this place. If you are in Golden, you have to visit!

We were with a visitor who had been there when in Golden for a…read moreconference and thought we would like the concept of a food hall and like the sort of food she had there in the past. I am familiar with food halls at home in Boulder that I like and frequent regularly. This was nothing like them in so many ways. It was obvious that this is lived locally but in a holiday it was so ham packed that it was unpleasant for a newcomer to negotiate. Yes, for beer lovers the concept of self serve from the many taps and pay by the ounce Baxter so many in stock is novel, but I don't drink beer or margaritas and I could not find a simple ice tea. There were sodas from a machine which also did not suit me either. The concept of the scan card seems good for the cafeteria atmosphere and the beer supply but the food places did take credit cards, where at least you see the receipt etc. you leave the card in a box when you leave and they charge the credit card you entered to get it. No real review apparently by the customer. Most of the food I saw in menus and the tables were not my style either, huge portions of mediocre looking food. My husband had trouble figuring it part of the ingredient in the biggest burrito I have ever seen. He could not pick it up fore the crema decorating the tortilla which was thicker than any I've ever seen. On the other hand, my food was fairly good though grease dripped out at every bite. It was a Gordita made with crisp little corn cakes and the al pastor filling was tasty. The others in the group all had large portions of unappealing to me food so I did not taste and far too. Big for a healthy lunch. While we were eating at compared communal tables , the restrooms across from them were propped open for the steady stream of users. But on a holiday weekend a prime lunch time when we arrived, it was the only option. The entry line to get the pay card was nearby and the line went up the stairs to the entry with at least 20 to get and register the card, many with children in tow. Our guest knew where to park so that was no problem jf you are willing to pay to park for a meal. We were, but would have lived a quality meal and not a madhouse. The only staff person I spoke with because her food was dessert and not peak season for ice cream was so friendly and helpful and mad a custom snack size of her New Zeland style treat. She saved the day for me. I will not return but others in our party might should the occasion arise and clearly the locals who are regulars keep them well supported. I will stick with my local more intimate and curated food hall kitchens.

The first we went from a dark beer to a light beer which I know is out of the proper order but that is just how it shook out. We had the Coco Firenze which was a coconut porter. Very smooth with saltiness and bitterness involved... of course with coconut being the main character trait for this beer. I do like my dark beers on rainy days and this enjoying this one was timed just right as we were getting plenty of rain fall from where I was! The next beer was OYB Pilsner. This was a delightful Czech Pilsner that had a light, crisp and hoppy flavor to it. Perfect to enjoy over the supper time meal. I have reached the point in my beer drinking experiences that I can easily have lagers and pilsners all year around regardless of the season. I used to be much more particular about matching the beer for the season but these crisp pilsners go down easy all the time and that's what I desire mostly recently.

There were lots of people, a makers market, lots of tie dye, a fun/funky mural on the wall, a beautiful space with lots of seating, and a bunch of phish fans (very conveniently located near red rocks). The beers were great - with the standout being the dark space between - which they were pouring the 2022, 2023, and 2024 versions of (it's a bourbon barrel aged stout that they change up each year). They were outstanding. Bummed to hear they are closing, however, very happy to get here, and experience it, before they did. Best of luck - hoping to hear you open something else in future!
