    Outside patio dog friendly
    Gina K.

It was an almost 60 degree Saturday so naturally we had to get the dog out to a patio and enjoy a beer! I searched for a dog friendly brewery fairly close to our house. Coda brewing pop up ad a 20 minute drive away and dog friendly, not just their patio but inside too which is always nice of the weather turns unexpectedly. We putting up in the tucked away brewery in Golden and immediately adored the charm of it with a old truck outside and the garage doors open and dogs and people spread out on the patio. By the time we left at least another 7 cars of people had shown up and we were there for about and hour and half. I had the cream ale which was a nice easy drink. My husband partook in the IPAs on tap, he really enjoyed them. We agreed the set up was perfect for what we needed and the beers good and the service was great, one women manning the whole bar.

Popped in for some afternoon refreshments. It was a hot sunny day and that called for Japanese Rice Lager! We stopped here before continuing our day date afternoon.

Hip, local brewery south of South Table Mountain in Golden. Plenty of parking, very open indoor/outdoor area and some table games as well.

SO pleasantly surprised by our first visit here! As a connoisseur of local breweries, I was craving a brew on the drive home one Saturday. I quickly typed in "Brewery" into maps and saw that Coda was just 4 minutes away from where I was driving. I tell my boyfriend to reroute and he responds with "Is this place good or did you just pick the closest brewery?" Why not both?! Since it was our first time to Coda, we both got flights. Came with 4 5oz pours, and not a bad price for such a hefty amount of beer. I loved the sour they had on tap. If you're new to sours, this one was nice and fruity and not too tart. I also got a raspberry Kolsch, a hazy IPA, and an experimental beer that I can't recall the name of (but it was DANG GOOD!) Will definitely be back to this spot to grab a brew and take advantage of the cool atmosphere. Did I mention there was a live DJ, twinkle lights and pin ball?! All in all, a home run for Coda Brewing!

Had some really nice standard IPAs and other unique brews. Their design motifs are really cool too so grabbed a tshirt and a couple glasses as souvenirs.

Coda Brewing has been on my list and well recommended by my brew loving friends. So when the opportunity presented itself to take a little brewventure up Golden ways - I pounced on it. The Space: Tucked back in a little neighborhood, Coda Brewing is definitely a bit of a hidden gem. The space its self exudes a strong mixture of sophistication meets high school science class. I am obsessed with the amber drop-lights above the bar and the rich green painted back bar. There's ample natural light coming in from the roll up glass patio doors. Not to mention a HUGE patio space out front. The Service: The beertender during our visit was very welcoming. She told us the run down of the menu, offered to help us with any questions that we had, told us the run down of their social distancing expectations and such. The Brews: During our visit there were seven brews on tap - four of which were IPAs. While I'm not the biggest IPA fan out there I have to say the style is growing on me and Coda Brewing does it right! I opted for a pour of the Mountain Flamingo, which proved to be well balanced and flavorful. I've also heard some great things about their sours and saisons too! The Bites: I believe they offer a limited selection of Rocky Mountain pizzas and some Boulder chips regularly. They do also feature a delicious schedule of food trucks (Basic Kneads, Farm to Truck, Schnitzelwirt, and Pink Tank just to name a few) that set up shop and sling their wares here. So don't worry if you come hungry - they got you covered! While I don't find myself in Golden frequently, I'd gladly make my way back to check out some more of Coda Brewing's offerings. Cheers, Golden! **Pro Tip: Keep up with them on Facebook to see the latest tap offerings and food truck options!

Great beers! Lotsa options. Dog friendly and they have a water station to fill bowls. Plenty of table with shade. Board games and good environment.

Always love to return to Colorado, primarily the Denver area and the Front Range to create new brewery memories of experiences with breweries we haven't tried yet or make a return to beloved ones. Coda is a Golden brewery neither Steve or me have experienced until recently and we both were very impressed with the beers that we had here. Going with a sort of Steampunk style look this type of art and atmosphere grabbed my attention immediately on wanting to try out this particular brewery! We had two different beers of the same style, both very different from each other but proved to have an authentic flavor we both found appealing. Clock Maker was the first beer that we enjoyed, a German style pilsner this beer had a great maltiness to it as well as that biscuity flavor that I am so very fond of when drinking this style of beer. It was an instant hit for both Steve and myself and we immensely were anticipating the next beer we purchased from Coda. And that one didn't disappoint either! The Calibrated Eye was the next beer we turned to try out. Also a German Pilsner but different as this one had more herbal features to the ingredients. I do love the herbal aspects to beers and feel like I don't see this utilized often enough so it's always rewarding and refreshing to come across a beer with herbal characteristics that are fairly noticeable. Excellent beer experience all the way around and one should make Coda a "must stop" if you are doing a tour of the craft breweries in Golden.

Great venue tucked away in a residential neighborhood. COVID precautions in place.. Tables spaced out, indoor and outdoor. I had Blonde Redhead and my gf had the Dogcatcher. I really enjoyed mine, Dogcatcher was a bit too hoppy for me when I tried it. We didn't stay too long this time and I'm looking forward to coming back.

This brewery was very good! Loved the service and atmosphere! And loved the games available to play

Wow! How have I not known this gem was here so close to me?? Amazing brews - the fact that the head brewer is a chemist may just have a little to do with that... I had a flight and everything was delicious. Very friendly server, nice atmosphere and the graphics are on point! Good crowd with every age and some kiddos too. Worth the trip and stop if you have the time.

This place is enjoyable and the staff has been fantastic. It's one of those 1st world problems. Do I tell people how good it is and have it spoiled or do I keep it to myself. Can't miss with the beer selection.

If you never enjoyed Luke Smith's fine beers when Coda was open in Aurora a few years back, you missed out. After leaving, he took the name, and the art of fine beer making with him. The beers here at the new location in Golden are every bit as good, if not better, than they were a few years ago. Luke Smith, chemist, genius, brewmaster, family man, makes some mighty fine beers. Please check out this new location, tucked away, in Golden. Come see the brand new nice inside, large patio that is dog friendly, and even a pinball machine. Oh, and did I forget to tell you about the beer that is fantastic.

Nice dog friendly patio open to the bar seating area.

We ended up finding two seats adjacent to a larger group. Aside from a lack of seating, the other drawback is no TVs in the main room, so if you're wanting to watch anything (such as the NFL playoffs on this day) you're out of luck. On the bright side, they had a great beer selection...five different malts, so we started with a flight. In order of preference: * Maple bourbon pecan brown * Tmave pivo dark Czech lager * Up and about mocha stout * Black planet imperial porter * Rambler American amber One note, if what we got was actually the Rambler, it's the worst amber we've ever had. It tasted more like an IPA, which we both hate, than an Amber. Didn't care for this one at all. After finishing the flight, we each had a Czech lager followed by the pecan brown. The more of the lager I drank, the less I liked it. It was fine, but not sure I'd get it again. All in all, cool place with good beer. Especially on a nice day where you can sit outside.

They have other drinks beside beer on tap as well such as different types of cocktails. They have a great food selection. That includes many different varieties of food throughout the venue as well. The top floor also has a few additional beer options as well as food options. I decided to go with a barbecue option which I got a brisket sandwich which was really good as well as a side of fries and some of the barbecue sauce. I also got a beer on top from one of the local breweries. It was a chilly day out, but I still wanted to sit on the patio on the top deck, so we sat by a fireplace. They have a ton of different fireplaces, all throughout the top deck as well as the lower deck as well so sitting outside was an option for the time of the year that I was there which was March. Maybe in the dead of the winter they don't have this option but just keep that in mind. Anyways, I thought the view of the course brewery factory right across the way was really cool to see as well. The food was really good and I love getting beer by the ounce because if you don't like the beer, you can just get a different one and you don't have to make a whole glass pour every time you get one. I definitely would recommend the golden mill. It definitely seems like a place that a lot of locals hang out and there is a food or beverage option for everyone so even picky eaters would love this place. I am familiar with food halls at home in Boulder that I like and frequent regularly. This was nothing like them in so many ways. It was obvious that this is lived locally but in a holiday it was so ham packed that it was unpleasant for a newcomer to negotiate. Yes, for beer lovers the concept of self serve from the many taps and pay by the ounce Baxter so many in stock is novel, but I don't drink beer or margaritas and I could not find a simple ice tea. There were sodas from a machine which also did not suit me either. The concept of the scan card seems good for the cafeteria atmosphere and the beer supply but the food places did take credit cards, where at least you see the receipt etc. you leave the card in a box when you leave and they charge the credit card you entered to get it. No real review apparently by the customer. Most of the food I saw in menus and the tables were not my style either, huge portions of mediocre looking food. My husband had trouble figuring it part of the ingredient in the biggest burrito I have ever seen. He could not pick it up fore the crema decorating the tortilla which was thicker than any I've ever seen. On the other hand, my food was fairly good though grease dripped out at every bite. It was a Gordita made with crisp little corn cakes and the al pastor filling was tasty. The others in the group all had large portions of unappealing to me food so I did not taste and far too. Big for a healthy lunch. While we were eating at compared communal tables , the restrooms across from them were propped open for the steady stream of users. But on a holiday weekend a prime lunch time when we arrived, it was the only option. The entry line to get the pay card was nearby and the line went up the stairs to the entry with at least 20 to get and register the card, many with children in tow. Our guest knew where to park so that was no problem jf you are willing to pay to park for a meal. We were, but would have lived a quality meal and not a madhouse. The only staff person I spoke with because her food was dessert and not peak season for ice cream was so friendly and helpful and mad a custom snack size of her New Zeland style treat. She saved the day for me. I will not return but others in our party might should the occasion arise and clearly the locals who are regulars keep them well supported. I will stick with my local more intimate and curated food hall kitchens.

The first we went from a dark beer to a light beer which I know is out of the proper order but that is just how it shook out. We had the Coco Firenze which was a coconut porter.
