This was good. I had heard mixed reviews from different folks, but I wanted to decide for myself. I popped in one evening with my husband to check things out. We got a flight and a each a pint. The pints were West Golden Fadeaway IPA and Citranade IPA, a single hop. Both good. For our flight we chose Orange Whip, Apex in the Clouds, Coco Firenze and Cream and Sugar, Please! We enjoyed everything. We sat at the bar and had a nice chat with our beertender. The staff is knowledgeable about the beers. The taproom is spacious as well as a nice outdoor seating area. Overall, I liked it and think we will be back.

Good eclectic selection of beers. Tried the Maize Cream Ale and the Tree Skier Colorado Spruce Tip Pale Ale.

When staying at Origin Red Rocks (which in itself I do not recommend but that's for another review ) there's this brewery across the street and so obviously the craft beer lover in me had to check it out. After our experience, I'm convinced people go to this brewery because A) it's right by a hotel or B) it's very close to Red Rocks for any pregaming or enjoying craft beers before shows. I wasn't impressed with the beers but I must say it's in a good location for visitors. The best part of the whole time there was the food truck Mama Jo's. Their biscuit sandwiches were wow chefs kiss! Definitely recommend trying them wherever you see them- for us it was here at Over Yonder. I don't know if I'd come back to this brewery with so many in Colorado to check out but hey to each their own.

Not so great service and not so great beer. Came here for a small group outing post the new year -- 7pm not busy at all and were able to get a table right away. Walking up to the ordering counter/bar the bartenders weren't very attentive to acknowledging us so, we waiting a little bit before we were able to order. Friends of our mentioned the orange creamsicle tasting beer (orange wit) that they had in the past that was fantastic along with other house blends which had me excited. Our friends went with the orange wit (which was nothing like they remember, not so tasty) & I went for the spurs tips beer (didn't taste anything like winter/holiday. So bad I couldn't drink it or pawn it off). When I asked the bartender if I could get a replacement drink she approved however, she seem extremely annoyed. Not my favorite experience.

prickly pear Sour

This is a super pleasant brewery with some really unique offerings--stairway to the stars is a hazy double IPA that i will encourage a picture of, it looks different than any beer. They also had a prickly pear beer that was very interesting. No food but a deal with the adjacent restaurants to deliver free. I like the patio and music.

Over Yonder was just fine. Nothing wrong with it. I also did not find anything out of the ordinary or special about it. Brewery is in a new mixed use center, with good outdoor seating and a view of a parking lot. Tables and chairs are standard issue. Good selection of craft beer, mostly made on site. Everything we tasted was done well, served cold with a helpful beertender. I think this would be a great place to hang out if you lived nearby. I'm not sure it is worth a drive if it is out of your way though,

Just a quick stop for lunch and a beer to make brewery visit #167. OYB had a nice little tasting room and a large patio area. No food available here but there is a place called Vice right next door that will take an order and bring it over. I didn't do a flight here but went with the toasted coconut porter. This was a great coconut beer, although I am admittedly very partial to toasted coconut porters. OYB is a cool spot. I wish I had time to try more of the beers. SWPFTD enjoyed it as well. This short review is not up to my usual standards and I apologize to the three people who will read it. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you!

Awesome place to stop before or after red rocks! We loved the IPAs and the open air atmosphere. They typically have food trucks and live music. We got to see That Sweet Release play and it made for an awesome experience. Also very dog friendly inside and out.

Nice little brewery on the way to the mountains. In the Woolley Mammoth parking lot. (Well sorta, to the right instead of left) Friendly staff, beer on tap... always an enjoyable day if your heading to the mountains. Super pet friendly so bring the pups and enjoy your day!

Passion fruit sour

Friendly staff, delicious beer, kombucha and other non-boozy drinks. Outdoor patio and easy to get to. What's not to love? The passion fruit sour was a delightful post hike refresher. Grabbed a crowler to go and I'll be back again soon.

Fun brews to try!

Ok LOVE Over Yonder!! My husband had been here prior but it was my first visit and I love it! The beer selection is really great. Something for every palette. I wanted to try a few 5 oz. and tried the Mounds of Joy, Cream and Sugar Blonde Cream, Maize, and their Orange Cream as well. I loved them all but the Cream and Sugar was my favorite. Tastes like a cup of coffee and in a blonde ale! Nice outdoor patio area and I like the overall chill vibe. They do offer crowlers to go and take out from the deli next door.

5 stars for the fact dogs are allowed inside. Lol. Like the vibe of the place. I do wish they had more beer options. If you arent an IPA or dark/hoppy beer person it may not be the best choice. We sat at a table and werent sure if there were servers or what, so we waited a few then just ordered from the bar. I had the cherry lime beer but wasnt really a fan. Husband loved his french toast beer. We will be back.

There was a food truck serving Turkish doner kebabs that were really delicious. We'll happily return to this excellent establishment the next time the winds blow us to Golden.

We ended up finding two seats adjacent to a larger group. Aside from a lack of seating, the other drawback is no TVs in the main room, so if you're wanting to watch anything (such as the NFL playoffs on this day) you're out of luck. On the bright side, they had a great beer selection...five different malts, so we started with a flight. In order of preference: * Maple bourbon pecan brown * Tmave pivo dark Czech lager * Up and about mocha stout * Black planet imperial porter * Rambler American amber One note, if what we got was actually the Rambler, it's the worst amber we've ever had. It tasted more like an IPA, which we both hate, than an Amber. Didn't care for this one at all. After finishing the flight, we each had a Czech lager followed by the pecan brown. The more of the lager I drank, the less I liked it. It was fine, but not sure I'd get it again. All in all, cool place with good beer. Especially on a nice day where you can sit outside.

Once inside there is a first floor that has a few different food options as well as the pour your own beer options as well. In order to partake in the beer option, you need to get a card that you can tap to the machine and you pay per the ounce. They have other drinks beside beer on tap as well such as different types of cocktails. They have a great food selection. That includes many different varieties of food throughout the venue as well. The top floor also has a few additional beer options as well as food options. I decided to go with a barbecue option which I got a brisket sandwich which was really good as well as a side of fries and some of the barbecue sauce. I also got a beer on top from one of the local breweries. It was a chilly day out, but I still wanted to sit on the patio on the top deck, so we sat by a fireplace. They have a ton of different fireplaces, all throughout the top deck as well as the lower deck as well so sitting outside was an option for the time of the year that I was there which was March. Maybe in the dead of the winter they don't have this option but just keep that in mind. Anyways, I thought the view of the course brewery factory right across the way was really cool to see as well. The food was really good and I love getting beer by the ounce because if you don't like the beer, you can just get a different one and you don't have to make a whole glass pour every time you get one. I definitely would recommend the golden mill. It definitely seems like a place that a lot of locals hang out and there is a food or beverage option for everyone so even picky eaters would love this place. If you are in Golden, you have to visit!

This is a real toss up for me. We were with a visitor who had been there when in Golden for a…read moreconference and thought we would like the concept of a food hall and like the sort of food she had there in the past. I am familiar with food halls at home in Boulder that I like and frequent regularly. This was nothing like them in so many ways. It was obvious that this is lived locally but in a holiday it was so ham packed that it was unpleasant for a newcomer to negotiate. Yes, for beer lovers the concept of self serve from the many taps and pay by the ounce Baxter so many in stock is novel, but I don't drink beer or margaritas and I could not find a simple ice tea. There were sodas from a machine which also did not suit me either. The concept of the scan card seems good for the cafeteria atmosphere and the beer supply but the food places did take credit cards, where at least you see the receipt etc. you leave the card in a box when you leave and they charge the credit card you entered to get it. No real review apparently by the customer. Most of the food I saw in menus and the tables were not my style either, huge portions of mediocre looking food. My husband had trouble figuring it part of the ingredient in the biggest burrito I have ever seen. He could not pick it up fore the crema decorating the tortilla which was thicker than any I've ever seen. On the other hand, my food was fairly good though grease dripped out at every bite. It was a Gordita made with crisp little corn cakes and the al pastor filling was tasty. The others in the group all had large portions of unappealing to me food so I did not taste and far too. Big for a healthy lunch. While we were eating at compared communal tables , the restrooms across from them were propped open for the steady stream of users. But on a holiday weekend a prime lunch time when we arrived, it was the only option. The entry line to get the pay card was nearby and the line went up the stairs to the entry with at least 20 to get and register the card, many with children in tow. Our guest knew where to park so that was no problem jf you are willing to pay to park for a meal. We were, but would have lived a quality meal and not a madhouse. The only staff person I spoke with because her food was dessert and not peak season for ice cream was so friendly and helpful and mad a custom snack size of her New Zeland style treat. She saved the day for me. I will not return but others in our party might should the occasion arise and clearly the locals who are regulars keep them well supported. I will stick with my local more intimate and curated food hall kitchens.
