Happy pup loved it here too

Friday around 2pm we were looking for a place with dog friendly patio seating, we found this FAB restaurant on Yelp. We were beyond impressed. Our waitress was fantastic - engaging, patient, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu, she gave us some awesome recommendations and even brought a full water dish with ice for the fur babies. We actually interacted with many of the staff while dining, some just checking in on us, giving the pups some personal attention as well. Everyone was welcoming and genuinely friendly. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch on the quaint patio and never felt rushed. The food was exceptional. We ordered the cheese and charcuterie boards and ate every morsel. The wine slushies were an unexpected treat, and the old fashioned and whiskey smash were so good! Our sandwiches were delicious and exactly as the menu described, the fries were outstanding (it's rare that I rave about fries) and the mac n cheese was yummy! The buffalo ribeye was absolute perfection! This would be my regular spot if I lived nearby. I'll 100% return next time I visit Colorado. Many more items on the menu I'd love to try... I could drink their wine slushies all summer long!

Oh my! Went there three times on our visit to Golden/Morrison Co... the staff is super friendly and very helpful when choosing what to eat... we ordered something different every night and it was all good... the ranch is good : ) the last night we were there the "garage door" was open and the ambiance was so relaxing and chill. Hope to go back again sometime.

More bar than a restaurant, it still has several very interesting food items on offer. I will include CR code for the menu. We ordered bison meatballs and the Feta cheese dip plate and both were excellent. And because we are in Golden Colorado home of Coors, Coors light is only four dollars a glass. They boast 40 kinds of whiskey. We enjoyed the service from a heavily tattooed Dolly Parton lookalike and the 80s rock soundtrack. 3 percent kitchen appreciation fee.

Enjoyed our dinner before catching the shuttle to Red Rocks - Great place, nice people, good food and terrific drinks !

Nice place, good seating and lively atmosphere. We showed up at 4pm on a Friday and were seated right away by the time we left it was filling up quickly. Service was good, our server made great suggestions. We ordered the hummus appetizer which was yummy, the salmon BLT which was ok and the fig & pig flatbread. The flatbread was quite dry. We tried the in house homemade whisky brownie with cinnamon ice cream for dessert, dry tasteless brownie but the ice cream was excellent!

I would give Vice a 3.5 star review. We recently visited for a birthday celebration. I think their location is a bit difficult to find and their seating was a bit crowded. We did reserve space for dinner but had to request to move seats because the table we were at didn't have any seat backs, they were great at giving us the space to do so. I'm sure Vice is struggling like other local restaurants to hire team members, it was a bit evident that they were lacking in team members to support the amount of folks at the bar/restaurant. Regarding the food, the bread and spread was great, I'd come back just for this in the future and they gave gluten free crackers with the cheese spread. The charcuterie board was good but the meats left us feeling like they could have been more. We were only able to order a round of drinks due to lack of staff checking in, the food was delivered and one of the meals was incorrect. The individual who brought our food didn't recognize right away that the salad they brought out was completely different than what was ordered. Overall not a bad experience but has some opportunities for growth.

Always a good experience. Drinks and food were tastey, beautiful patio that's dog friendly and they were getting a good crowd for Thursday night (football). My best compliment goes to the consistently friendly and attentive service we've had there every visit. Love the flat breads, really special. The salmon BLT was awesome. Good happy hour too!

I went searching for a non chain bar or restaurant to support and was shocked to see that Lakewood CO of all places had a local distillery and just had to try it. It honestly exceeded my expectations as I originally planned on coming in for one drink but left after trying 3 because it was so good. My first drink was the Coffee, God and Cigarettes. This drink offered a well-balanced blend of bitter and sweet notes, both light and flavorful. The tobacco finish is present but not overpowering, making for a very enjoyable overall experience. The 2nd drink I got was the old fashioned.... Which was made with both whiskey and rum in it which left me a bit nervous to actually order it. But don't let the rum fool you, this is a classic-tasting delicious Old Fashioned. Ironically, the rum has more traditional whiskey character than their white whiskey (which tastes like scotch). If you like Old Fashioneds, you'll find this version delicious. I finished with the Serrano Cucumber Gimlet. It features a fresh cucumber essence and a well-balanced, subtle heat. A unique and excellent twist on the classic. All the in house spirits were great, Cameron the bartender on shift was able to answer any and all questions I had, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was wonderful. I'd definitely recommend giving this Lakewood distillery a shot

I came for candlelit yoga. Yoga itself was enjoyable. There was a gentleman playing live music and we were all encouraged to work at our own levels wherever that may be. The instructor was pleasant and encouraging. I found her voice to be calming when I could hear it. However, there was a speed-dating event scheduled at the same time so there was a constant din of conversation noise that was loud. I have hearing issues and that level of ambient noise made it difficult for me to hear the yoga instructor even with her having a microphone. The interior of the venue is filled with installations from local artists. I would like to come back for just a social gathering. I think it would be great for that.

We had 5 pm reservations but went in closer to 6 pm, after having visited their onsite bar, the Night Owl. Their craft cocktails were great and on par with craft cocktail pricing. The staff were all really accommodating and friendly. They didn't bat an eye when we asked about timing: can we grab a drink before we go in? Sure! And the experience itself? Super creative, attention to detail all over the place. And, there are differing levels of a scavenger hunt just to make things even more interesting. The exhibits change every so often so if you haven't been to this one, def go before a new installation is added.

Goosetown Station is a unique experience. It combines the cool vibe of the grassy setting of Fiddler's Green with the experience of listening to music with friends in an intimate garden setting. The photos I've seen posted so far are misleading. They are outdated pictures of a place that no longer exists. And current pictures don't communicate the vibe. Goosetown Station has evolved to a one-of-a-kind music venue. It has a lot of moving parts that work well together to bring you a music experience that will stay with you long after you leave. But because it's always changing, evolving, improving, what I tell you about the place may change when you visit. But however the place is when you visit, you can be guaranteed your experience will be enjoyable and memorable. PARKING ======== There is parking on the street in front of Goosetown Station. The street is a dead end. If you can't find parking on that street, there is a free, open, public parking lot a 1/2 a block away. There is also public parking one block over in the other direction, across from Ford street. You can park there and walk across the footbridge to get to Goosetown Station. ADMISSION ========== When I walked up the incline to the entrance to the house I was greeted by a young woman who told me they take cash or Venmo. (I read a previous review that said they don't do cash. That's changed.) HANDICAP ACCESS ================ If you are wheelchair bound, the place is set up with no stairs leading to the house. There is seating inside the house and also a full bar and bathrooms. From the inside of the house you cannot see the stage and I'm not sure if they pipe the music from the stage into the house, but they should for those who want to sit inside. There is also comfortable seating on the side of the house in an area you walk through to get to the back where the stage is. I don't remember if there are stairs between the front entrance and this side seating area. If not, it's a comfortable, covered area where you can sit, hear the music and see the stage. SEATING AREAS ============= From the pictures I saw before I went, I imagined this place to be a house with a stage in its small backyard with a patio area to sit and watch the band. I was pleasantly shocked when I walked around the side of the house and entered the backyard. It's a huge area. There is a main grassy seating area with comfortable couches, groups of seats and lots of firepits. There is a huge tented area in one corner of the backyard. There are clusters of seats along the side and a table in a covered area with vines growing up the wall. There is a covered seating area with a firepit next to the outside bar and a large, isolated, sandy play area for children and their parents in another corner of the yard. BARS ===== There is a fully stocked bar to the right when you enter the building. There is a bar in the back and sometimes, depending on the crowds, they set up a bar in the front with beer and wine. I was able to use Apple Pay at the bar. FAMILIES WELCOME ================ This place is kid friendly. There were several young children and their parents attending the concert the night I went. As I mentioned there is a whole sandy play area with toys in a corner of the backyard. FOOD ===== They try to have food trucks to provide something to eat while you listen to music. The night I was there they were having a dispute with the city of Golden who didn't want food trucks parked on their streets (even though the street in front of Goosetown Station is a dead end.) So they offered Anthony's pizzas and had chips and hummus. The food they offer isn't meant to be your main meal as much as just something to help you not have an empty stomach if you're drinking alcohol. MUSIC ====== The quality of the band was outstanding. They played at a volume that was just enough to fill the backyard. They weren't trying to rock the neighborhood but the sound was sufficient to be heard over the quiet conversations of the guests. "THE FEEL" ========= At the risk of sounding sexist, this place feels like it was designed by women. In fact I only saw one man working the venue. He was the bartender inside. Other than that it was women attending to the visitors. I say it seems like women designed this place because it looked like it was deliberately planned to be comfortable, charming, welcoming and beautiful. The details of this place speak of someone who wants to create an atmosphere that goes beyond utility. Even the bathrooms are nicely decorated with candles burning. If you go to Goosetown Station, enjoy yourself and please don't change anything. It's perfect just the way it is. (Check out my pictures to see how this place looks now.)
