Seasonal bread pudding (white chocolate and rasperry)

Wow! What an experience. Began walking near Hungry Goat and you start with a smell senses being aroused to come closer. We've never eaten at the location that has changed themes/restaurants over time. Feels like a home that has been transformed into a restaurant. Main restaurant is quant and the outdoor seating where we were was great in the evening with the lighting and heaters deployed. Our food was fantastic! Had clams, calamari, and libations to start! Drinks were perfect and everything was presented beautifully. The Cioppino was spot on, guest also had salmon, the tenderloin and the pok pok chicken. Each dish had a unique theme and flavor palette. We couldn't leave without giving desert a try. The pumpkin moose was amazing as was the bread pudding which for us was white chocolate with raspberry. Service was great and would definitely return.

Had been wanting to try this place every time we drive through Morrison -- glad we finally stopped. What I found was a cool place that makes everything in house "scratch." Exceptional wine list too! Yes the name says it all --Scratch and wine - perfect. Inside the place is inviting with rock walls and open aired dining --perfect for a spring day, especially with all the blooming fruit trees nearby. Service was great. Shawn took care of us with solid recommendations and prompt service. The charcutier board was wonderful - meats and cheeses- along with some pickled items and lots of fresh fruit. The grilled cheese sandwich was perfectly grilled. Shrimp and grits were a hit. Finished with the beignets covered in confectioner's sugar that melted in our mouths and topped with hot chocolate and fresh strawberries. What a satisfying meal. A beautiful patio, fresh air, fresh food, friendly service The Hungry Goat provided a wonderful experience.

Hungry Goat was great. The "scratch" in their name does some heavy lifting, as their underlying philosophy is to have almost everything on the menu whipped up right on premises (from scratch...get it?). The setting is pleasant, with a nice (albeit cramped) dining room and a lovely patio with some cover from the sun. And service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. I had a mocktail special, a watermelon and lemonade concoction (both made on site!) that was super refreshing. For entrees, the steak frites were calling. Each part of the dish was well executed. The salad had a subtle zest from a dressing that didn't drench the plate; the fries were crispy and full of flavor; and the steak was the right temperature and came in a balanced sauce. The portion left a lot to be desired; for $24 (as of August 2025), it felt like a half portion of hanger steak, and it wasn't the most filling entree. Maybe we ordered wrong, but other than the amount of food, everything else about the meal was excellent.

Really enjoyed this adorable little spot in downtown Morrison! We had gone hiking and needed some food before heading to a show at Red Rocks. Hungry Goat was the perfect place to stop! The drinks were really good. I had their specialty old fashioned and was impressed. My wife had a glass of the sparkling rose and it was pretty good. The cheese and charcuterie board was really diverse and well put together with accompaniments. My wife enjoyed the chicken and I really liked the quinoa dish. The s'mores dessert looked amazing! Next time, I'll try it. The patio looked so fun, but it was raining when we went. There's a really cool waterfall feature that made a nice sounds as we ate. The service was perfect, efficient and friendly. I'll be back!

Came here for dinner days before new years with some family who was in town-- one of my go to spots for company. The staff was super friendly but everything wasn't too great-- the food wasn't as flavorful as it's ever been, it was cold and the service was a bit slow. I'm hoping it was just an off night because unfortunately this experience wasn't great.

We stopped here on a Saturday early afternoon after a ride at Lair o the Bear. Parking is a bit difficult to find. You utilized the town parking (paid) outside of a handful of spots at the restaurant. We sat outside which didn't have much air flow but was a nice area. There was a ceiling fan - we asked them to turn it up but they did not. We also asked the server to leave the water bottle at the table versus filling our glasses, since we were thirsty and were going through it quickly. He said that he can't leave it because then they have to wash them between groups but that he would be sure to keep the glasses full. He did not... The brunch menu was the offering at the time. One friend had the omelette. It had bacon, peppers, onion and it was huge and looked delicious-if you like omelettes. It came with some home fries and small side salad of just greens. Another had the veg-quinoa burger and said it was good. Another had the burger and said it was decent. Another had the French toast and did not think it was worth getting I ordered the grilled avocado salad and added chicken. The amount of greens in my salad was not much more than my friends side that came with his omelette and the salad was $16 with another $10 for the chicken. I am not sure if there would have been more greens if there wasn't chicken. Either way, it had good flavor and the chicken did as well but not for $26.

The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. The drink options were great and the ones we ordered tasted amazing. The restaurant was very clean and the decor was nice, with indoor and outdoor seating. The service was fast and friendly. Would totally recommend!!

We popped in here early before a concert at Red Rocks. The service was prompt, and the atmosphere was casual. We sat outside on the patio beside a beautiful water fall and garden. Had a delicious Chech style Pilsner to cool down followed by an excellent GSM paired with Steak au Poivre. That steak was a perfectly crafted dish. The meat was cooked perfectly and served atop creamy mashed potatoes and a green peppercorn sauce, finished with crispy fried onions on top. Highly recommended.

Delicious as usual and impeccable service. The heated patio was lovely and warm. The scrambled eggs were delicate and buttery. The hollandaise was flavorful. The winner for us was the holiday Side Car. Best cocktail we've had there yet.

Really nice presentation for all dishes, and they tasted good too. Prices are a bit higher but for the quality you get it's worth it. Highly recommend.

Wow, this is a beautiful brunch spot nestled in the Red Rocks area downtown. The outdoor patio dining is definitely the preferred choice to absorb the beautiful nature. We didn't make any reservation. There were three of us and just walked in around 11:15 AM on a bustling Saturday. We were happy to be immediately seated. The waitress explained the meaning of a Scratch kitchen wherein every ingredient is made from scratch. The Ginger Yuzu Lemonade was an excellent refreshment after the Red Rocks hike on a sunny day. Loved the Goat Cheese Dip and the Eggs Benedict with Ham. The potatoes served with the Eggs Benedict reminded me of home :) Totally recommend this place when you visit the Red Rocks.

We came here for appetizers and a drink before a Red Rocks show and we didn't stop talking about it for the entire evening. The restaurant itself is so cute and I love the waterfall on the patio and overall vibe. Our server Brian was absolutely fantastic and great at making recommendations. The drinks and food are unique and so delicious. The goat cheese dip, tomato soup and pok pok chicken were all outstanding and I would recommend those items. We will definitely be back to the Hungry Goat!

I went searching for a non chain bar or restaurant to support and was shocked to see that Lakewood CO of all places had a local distillery and just had to try it. It honestly exceeded my expectations as I originally planned on coming in for one drink but left after trying 3 because it was so good. My first drink was the Coffee, God and Cigarettes. This drink offered a well-balanced blend of bitter and sweet notes, both light and flavorful. The tobacco finish is present but not overpowering, making for a very enjoyable overall experience. The 2nd drink I got was the old fashioned.... Which was made with both whiskey and rum in it which left me a bit nervous to actually order it. But don't let the rum fool you, this is a classic-tasting delicious Old Fashioned. Ironically, the rum has more traditional whiskey character than their white whiskey (which tastes like scotch). If you like Old Fashioneds, you'll find this version delicious. I finished with the Serrano Cucumber Gimlet. It features a fresh cucumber essence and a well-balanced, subtle heat. A unique and excellent twist on the classic. All the in house spirits were great, Cameron the bartender on shift was able to answer any and all questions I had, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was wonderful. I'd definitely recommend giving this Lakewood distillery a shot

He told me that their whiskey is peaty but I went with a mix with their golden rum for my old fashioned. It was still too peaty for me but really smooth.
