Really a cute little place right in downtown Morrison. They have a rooftop seating area, but the menu is a little bit limited up there. Nice patio area to eat and drink and the main level could use a little bit of power washing. The staff is very friendly. Caesar salad is exceptional and so is the garlic cheese bread. Gorgonzola and Italian sausages ravioli is very good as is the chicken parm sandwich. A very nice mid afternoon lunch experience. read more

Ok so the first Italian spot my group went to wasn't what we were looking for so we found this spot, and man I'm glad we did!! Such an inviting atmosphere. The service was friendly, and pretty good. Pretty small issues but it was handled so, thank you! We went a couple hours before closing, so plenty of time but the started wrapping up early. It was a little frustrating we were told oh the bartenders left before 8 so we couldn't get change or more beverages. Everyone loved the food. I had a couple apps for my meal and they were goood. After hiking all around the area stop by for a local brewed beverage and some good food! This restaurant has many seating options rooftop or under the canopy of a large tree overlooking town! I stopped in after 7 miles on foot and chose the lunch Brussels sprout salad and it was fresh and tasty with pistachios and cranberries! We went on a Thursday night. Got sat immediately for a party of 4. Their outdoor seating & patio is great. Service was incredibly slow. It took 10+ minutes to get any sort of drink (water, glass of wine). The food, both main meals & appetizers, felt like it took forever to come out. We ended up being there for about 2 hours total which was not our intention. The salmon salad was extremely over dressed & the salmon was over cooked but lacked flavor. The burrata was yummy but it only came with 3 pieces of bread when we had 4 people; when we requested extra bread our server was accommodating but it also took 10+ minutes to get. This was much better than I had expected. The mussels were excellent- just the right amount of spice in a chunky tomato sauce. Bread and spoons were used to get every bit of that sauce. The shrimp were a nice addition, but I lovedcthe mussels. The antipasto was much more generous than expected. There were 2 cheeses (parmesan and provolone?), 3 meats (prosciutto, mortadella and a thickly cut salami-type sausage), cherry peppers, fig jam, giardinara, olives, and (my favorite) taralli). It's fine. Definitely better than olive garden. The layout of the restaurant is awkward. When you enter, you walk directly into a pathway between the kitchen and the outdoor seating, which "must be kept clear." Which means there's no good place to wait for the host. The pizza was surprisingly good. It's not east coast good but we're not on the east coast, so stop complaining. I enjoyed my pasta dish. We have been to Denver several times and every chance we get to stop by Tony Rig's - we do it. Everything I've eaten here is 10/10. Typically, I order the chicken parm and get an appetizer to split with the table. To end the meal, a nice glass of wine and some tiramisu. The service is what you'd expect from a family owned, neighborhood stop. Everyone is very kind and attentive to your needs but with a personal touch. I've never had a server I didn't like. The food takes a bit longer than you'd expect sometimes but that's because perfection takes time. Order an appetizer, drink a glass or two of wine and enjoy the company of your loved ones you're dining with. The evening will be worth it - I promise. It's a cozy spot and has very accessible parking on the streets nearby. I will admit I'm biased. If you make a good gnocchi or pesto, I'm sold. Tony Rigatoni does both. And more. They have excellent parking, a great variety of seating, crazy large portions - with excellent quality - and an A++ staff. Meagan was a delight and perfect guide through the menu as I picked out my meal. If they were in LoDo, or Cherry Creek, it would cost twice as much, and you would get half the serving. I love this little town that Tony's is located in! Definitely consider this place before hitting Red Rocks for a show, or for celebrating a birthday like we did! Just a heads up to anyone who comes here for the first time, the building hosts 2 restaurants! So when you walk in, don't go up the stairs, instead turn to your right :) Anyone a calzone fan? Try theirs out! It's HUGE and can be shared between 2 people, or it's just as delicious when you take home leftovers and throw it in the air fryer. The Alfredo was good and so was the Burrata salad! Service was great! And the ambiance was nice and relaxing. Unfortunately the patio was closed due to the rain, but if you get a chance to sit outside the ambiance out there is like "when in Rome". After a nice hike at the Red Rocks, I like to stop and frequent Morrison for a bite to eat. Tony Rigatoni's has been in Morrison for decades, so I thought, let's try here! Walking in the door I was greeted with delicious smells and friendly hosts. We were sat right away. My friend had the Burrata salad with Salmon and a nice Chianti. I had the Gorgonzola Gnocchi with a side of garlic bread with pepperoni and a nice wine from Argentina. Both dishes were delicious. One of the owners, Rezza, stopped by to check in on us, and treated us to dessert! I had the tiramisu and my friend had lemon cello cake. What a treat! There is a reason this restaurant has been so successful in Morrison. Come experience it for yourself! read more

This place had a rooftop in an aesthetic valley. They did have some portable heaters for the chillier times, but frankly we got a bit shorted on that and I was shivering by the end. Their menu was surprisingly small but held some excellent options. Garlic bread was absurdly large but delivered on flavor, and a burrata salad offered and excellent mix of flavors and textures. Vegetarian options were some, but vegan not. Service was quite slow, which is part of the reason I ended up staying out in a night that I wasn't quite dressed for. Walked in and right out. One of the most important things in the restaurant buisness isn't just the food it's how you feel when you walk in an establishment. The bartender on the first floor was not welcoming. She made me and my sister feel like we were an inconvenience and promptly suggested we visit the upstairs patio instead. The first time I ate here the food and service were very good. That was about a year ago. Last Friday was a 180 degree experience. It was the experience that finally broke the back on leaving a tip when the service is this bad. Never agsin.... Service - 4 of us were seated inside. It was a nice day and maybe had we sat outside the service would have been better because it was very busy on the rooftop. The young man serving us was clearly not interested or just forgot us from one moment to the next super elongated moment. Food was served cold obviously sitting in the service window for an extended time. Suddenly there was a 2 person check rule when there was not the last time we ate here. I left a 15% tip on our 2 party check ( usually leave at least a 20%). The other 2 party check contained an 18% tip. The server was over heard complaining about the tip. Looking back this service deserved no tip and going forward should I experience non service like this again I'm not going to leave any tip. This tipping at all on bad service has to stop. Food - The only edible thing was the chicken parm ordered by 1 of our party and even that was mediocre at best. An order of spinach type salad was wilted (not supposed to be) probably due to swimming in dressing. Both orders of the sausage ravioli were dry with curled edges from I guess heat lamps. The red pepper gorgonzola sauce was off tasting and congealed. Disgusting. Congrats TR. This was truly the worst dining and food experience I've had this year and maybe ever. Another fine meal... they do everything Italian great (that I can tell). Service and food quality has been consistently great for the past 5+ years we've come here. Today was more hectic than we had experienced in the past (Sunday, 76 deg, sunny! Morrison was packed!) but the wait staff did great keeping up pace and giving each customer great service. This time around we both did the spaghetti bolognese and the sauce was amazing. Finished up with Limoncello and tiramisu. Fantastic! We particularly like sitting out on the deck under their 300 year old tree that is in the center of it. (It has survived so long because it sent tap roots 150' away to the stream that always flows). It's very average inauthentic Italian food reminiscent of Olive Garden minus the breadsticks and less ambiance. Me and my friend each got Ravioli- bolognese ricotta and the ravioli Roberto. I know they bill themselves as authentic Italian but you can't convince me that their ravioli isn't bought from a food supplier. You are paying for the location not for the quality of the food. We went on a night of a show at red rocks a place I have been going my entire life. Totally understand that busy nights happen and we were patient. After 40 minutes of waiting for food we politely and kindly asked if there was an update. Thinking nothing of the request. Then suddenly the owner came over to us and started to aggressively speak to our table. (I also see other reviews of the owner belittling customers on here as well) Claiming that we came without enough time before the show and ultimately speaking to my fiancé in a way that was extremely condescending and disrespectful. Took us a WHILE to get a table. When we first walked in they told us 10-15 mins, ended up being 30. For some reason, kids under 13 aren't aloud to be on the 2nd floor. If we didnt have 3 under age 10 with us, or opted for a table inside, the wait would've been shorter; but it was stuffy & so hot inside. I don't think they use AC. So the patio was the only option. It was very pretty outside, nice chill environment. The servers were attentive & the food was good. After 2 margs, I was finally cooled off. I took a star away because of the wait time, we stood there with 3 kids sweating & when I asked someone about it, he was a bit snappy. It's not always what you say, but HOW you say it. And another for the fact that they first tried to squeeze all 7 of us into a booth but I had to insist on the corner seating with arm room, especially with 2 rambunctious boys. There was also too long of a wait in-between serving people's orders. Its awkward when you get yours & it was a few too many minutes before the next couple plates came out. Nice little hidden gem near Red Rocks in Morrison. I've never had an issue with getting a table without a reservation. I'm not a big fan of the interior of the restaurant- it's not anything special. The patio, however, is so nice! So much greenery and a pergola to give it a cozy outdoor feel. The food is consistently good and they have a small but decent wine selection. The cocktails are okay but there's nothing like pairing some pasta and wine together. I highly recommend the pasta a la vodka or gnocchi. There is nothing like supporting local, family owned restaurants- This is the perfect spot to enjoy some Italian food and get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Denver. read more

Forewarning! Just left an early dinner this evening and I'm a very frustrated and disappointed. When getting seated at our table I noticed my pants got wet as I brushed up against the edge of the table. Didn't think much of it but fast forward a little over an hour and I'm in the car with my husband and I notice what looked like bleach marks in the same place where I rubbed up against the table only an hour earlier. I called and spoke to the manager and asked if they used bleach to disinfect their tables and he's said yes. I explained the situation and he said to bring in my pants and we can discuss it then. Not more than 5 minutes later he calls back and said they don't use bleach and I'm welcome to come read the ingredients on the bottle. But from where he left it he did not feel any responsibility towards resolving the issue of my pants! Favorite pair :( $150 flushed down the drain! read more
