We had take away from Little Ricky's the other night we got a cheese pizza because that's my five-year-old's favorite and then my husband and I split mushroom and sausage. Both pizzas were really good and I could see us ordering from Little Ricky's again next time we are in the area. When it comes to new york style pizza, it can be hard to find a good, local place. During the pandemic, I was longing to find a good pizza place and after finding out about them from an in the mail coupon, I decided to try them out. Taste wise, this place is authentic and tasty. I usually just order a cheese pizza and sometimes I'll add a topping like their Italian sausage. I've never sat down inside the restaurant but there is plenty of seating available. It is a good place to catch a game as well as there are multiple tvs around the place. My interactions with the staff during my take out orders have always been pleasant as well. If I was basing this review off of taste alone, the pizza would earn a five star review. The reason I have given it a 4 star review is the price. I find the price of each pizza to be pretty expensive for me. I therefore would suggest utilizing one of their weekly deals. My favorite deal they offer is on Wednesday, where if you buy a large pizza, you get a free small cheese pizza with your order. Outside of this, I'm not sure I can justify ordering this pricey of a pizza off of their normal menu. At least for my financial situation. I got to say, lunch here was actually a pretty smart choice. The place is pretty clean, the service was super friendly (though slow to get things out to us, like drinks), and speaking of drinks, they got those fancy red cups every Italian restaraunt carries. I swear, even tap water tastes good from them. We got their lunch specials, which were meatball sandwiches, and I must say, hits that lunch itch when you just want a sandwich. Our pregnant waitress seemed aggregate and annoyed to say the least, I ordered an Arnold Palmer(1/2 sweet tea/1/2 lemonade) twice and somehow she insisted it was an Arnold Palmer even though it was a clear liquid of sorts. We had planned to have a late lunch at a neighboring establishment, but they were closed for Winter break. We ended up not being disappointed at all! Despite trying to go low carb, we hadn't had a dine-in Italian food experience for a while and it was so worth the splurge! The Caprese Salad was 9 pieces, with very generous slices of Mozzarella. First time I'd had it in a restaurant rather than making it or having it at a family gathering. Felt like it was a decent value, but of course, tomatoes weren't at the prime season. (And bonus: tossed the 5 leftover pieces with spinach & romaine and Voila: dinner!) Mr H. Had the All Meat Combo Calzone (with added onion & black olive). It was huge and the best part was that the crust was thin enough to ensure the generous filling didn't make it soggy. The Marinara was superb. I finally chose the Chicken Parmigiana. I substituted the Fettuccini Alfredo for spaghetti because I grew to love that combo from a Taylorsville, UT place that used to offer it. And the Alfredo sauce was everything I hoped for--buttery & creamy with a hint of pepper that didn't overpower it. The accompanying garlic knots were really good. The breading on the chicken was light, flavorful, and above par. And the moist chicken was delightfully dowsed in Mozzarella the way I always thought it should be, but have never actually been presented. Also commendable; both our entrées were served piping hot! Our server? Megan was amazing from the moment she greeted us at the door to pick a seat (we were a little unsure as to whether they offered more than pizza and were gazing around the restaurant for clues). She served our meal with just the right amount of attention. My favorite part? When I informed her that the Ladies Room was out of paper towels, she didn't roll her eyes at me like a lot of employees do, and promptly took care of the situation! They insisted that they give me a sharp knife. Strike one and two. I picked up the slice that was under the spatula, it fell apart. Lifted another piece - the same. Grabbed a slice lifted it on my plate. Picked it up everything fell off. Asked them to remake...mind you I am the only one in the restaurant...20 min later nothing. Got up and walked out. Received a coupon, thought we'd give it a try. Sadly, not at all impressed. The crust was fine, but the sauce was bland, and very thinly spread. The toppings were microscopic and not authentic... We ordered Italian Sausage and Mushroom. Both were present, BUT- the sausage was not really Italian, more like a breakfast sausage, and sliced VERY THINLY. The Mushrooms were also sliced VERY THINLY, more like shaved, very sparsely spread. I estimate 1/4 ounce over the entire LARGE pizza. I'm glad they got a good rating for cleanliness, but not impressed by their claims about 'New York Style Pizza.' If you like bread, go here. If you like pizza with a decent amount of genuine ingredients, don't go here. The environment was not good - too cold, with AC turned way up, so by the second piece our pizza was lukewarm. Lots of televisions blaring all around, tables are stone, cold and uncomfortable, noisy with rowdy kids running all around, generally made us want to get the HE** OUT. Our server was MIA most of the time, never checked on us to see if we needed beverage refills (we did), and the restaurant was hardly crowded. The wedge salad's dressing was watery, and the black olives appeared to come out of a can. And they were out of anchovies. What kind of decent Italian restaurant runs out of anchovies? I would like to preface this review by saying we used to come here quite often. It seems like the pizza has dropped in quality but it might be a fluke in our most recent visits. Other than that everything has been perfect. Now onto the food! The all meat combo was amazing as always. Good meat, good crust and good portion! Its one downfall is the grease. This might be the style but when we first tried it back then, it didn't seem to drop this much grease. It made the meal okay for me, but unappetizing for my wife. Still a really good pizza to try! The garlic knots is one of the stars of this review. These are my wife's favorite thing to order from here! Super doughy and amazing garlic taste! They're not too hard on the outside and amazingly crisp when you bite into it. Well worth its price and for anyone looking for amazing garlic knots, this is definitely the place to go! The lil Ricci wings are personally my favorite and the second stand out of this review. The wings are crispy and juicy to the bone. Amazing sauce that they add and a pretty good size too! These are definitely wings you have to try. They're not spicy, but they do offer this unique kick to them. Overall lil Ricci's is a stand out pizza spot.
