Stopped here after my kids' climbing session At Movement across the street. Looks like they are just getting started. The garlic knots were the highlight! So good we got an extra order. We really wanted to love this place. Small shop, there were signs about their fresh premium ingredients, board games for the kids, tastefully decorated, friendly service. Visiting Golden in the past we had gone to Woody's near the university, and felt their pizza was "just okay." We hoped this local restaurant would give us a new reason to visit Golden. I ordered Hawaiian, my kids ordered pepperoni, my wife went with a combo. We all agree, the pizza was unfortunately just edible. Bland. A step below the other pizza place I mentioned. Not bad, mind you, just not flavorful. 2 stars for being a small business that we hope will improve over time. Maybe it's just that the cracker crust is not what we are used to, but even the other toppings didn't add much flavor. read more

The restaurant is clean and orderly. The food came out quickly. The couple who own the place were very nice, so great service. Overall, everything we ate was very good, but generally there could be a bit more flavor. I will say the sausage was very good and it was my first time eating a calzone and because of my experience here, I plan to eat more in the future. We ordered the hand tossed crust cheese pizza and really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. We also had the combo sandwich and the Italian beef was fantastic, our favorite! The cannoli was just right! The Pizza Stone didn't seem to be a very clean place. The floors were definitely covered with dirt like sweeping or mopping wasn't on their agenda. A coworker and I ordered instead of getting the $5/slice option, which looked like pretty big pieces, but then we had to wait 20 minutes for our food while everyone else who came in for a $5/slice was being served, so, if that's your kick then this is a great place for you! To credit the owner, he did give us a couple of cannolis to cover for the delay, but I just wanted my pizza. I ordered the Wednesday pizza special, The Windy City, and I ordered it with the spicy giardiniera, which was a nice spiciness. For a 14 inch pizza that's $21, plus tax there was not enough meat on this pizza even though the Italian beef was very good. Less than half of my slices had meat on them and if I wanted a cheese pizza with spicy giardiniera on it, I would've ordered a cheese pizza with giardiniera on it. Not happy. I'll wait a couple years and maybe try it again. Maybe they will have worked out a lot of the kinks by then. I don't drink pop, which is all they had available, but was never offered a glass of water with the meal. It would've been nice to have had a glass of wine with the pizza, too, of course, after work. read more

Garlic knots are great. Dough is crunchy and chewy. The veggie pizza was the best veggie pizza I've had. Will definitely be back.
