We were looking for some yummy food, not too far from the house and saw ignazios had some great reviews so we decided to check it out. They were pretty busy at around 5:30 on a Saturday evening and we were lucky enough to snag a table since they also take reservations and some were being held. The service was great, she gave us her recommendations and was very very patient while we all decided what plates to share. They give you some small plain bread knots when you sit down and had no problem, giving us a refill, even a side of marinara sauce for dipping when we asked. We started with the Caprese appetizer, which was fresh and delicious lightly, garnished with the balsamic glaze that sets the flavor off, not too overpowering. We shared three different pastas - the penne rustica, the shrimp and artichoke, and the pesto tortellini. The rustica was definitely the best, it had such a depth of flavor, and the sauce was a perfect rosé of creamy tomato, with the vegetables helping set off the textures and flavors even more. The other two pastas were good, but I wouldn't prioritize ordering them again, the pesto tortellini was so rich and creamy, but lacked any pesto flavor, which was surprising since it was vivid and green, and so visually appealing. The shrimp and artichoke was good, but didn't allow me, I felt like the artichoke needed more seasoning or something to bring it out a little in the sauce and pasta mix. The owner Nancy was such a sweetheart. She was so attentive and came over to us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. Next time I'll be trying the Bolognese :)

We were excited to try this place and we weren't disappointed! I loved the cute atmosphere and the staff was so friendly. The garlic knots and chicken piccata were both good

Went for takeout the other day . This is some of the best Pizza I've ever had. We ordered a large mushroom and sausage Pizza, spaghetti with meatballs and sausage, the sauce on the spaghetti is to dye for, very fresh, garlic knots, they came with a side of sauce, in a delicious caesar salad. They finally have their LIQUOR LICENSE. You can't go wrong with a margarita or a glass of wine with your italian food. This is my favorite restaurant, the employees are very friendly and Nancy. The owner, it's a sweetheart, and treat you like family. One of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever been in. You guys, if you haven't been here, you need to check it out. Once you go in, try, you'll never go anywhere else. The best italian food. If I could give this place more than five stars. I would.. Thanks Nancy.

Garlic knots. Marinara is apparently an extra cost.

Just OK. Felt like I was intruding from start to finish, the staff assumed I was picking up for someone when I walked in. Once seated, the other diners next to me were clearly known to staff (maybe a former or current employee?) so they were showered with attention and loud conversation while I had to repeatedly ask for things and look up the dessert menu on my own. They offered me that dessert to go when they weren't closing for another 30min. They also charged extra for giving me a tiny cup of marinara with my garlic knots and didn't say that would be an additional cost when offered. Lasagna had good flavor but was very light on cheese. Edit: the owner's reply below is a little weird. I know the difference between sound in a kitchen and when the diner is sitting right next to me. I even posted a picture of the inside to show the ambiance. And excusing neglectful service because I was "watching" something on my phone (I was just reading the news, I didn't even have headphones on) shows that the training issues originate from the top. I definitely won't be back now.

Ordered Door Dash from here based on Yelp reviews. Good, flavorful Italian is hard to find in Denver. We've tried many places in the area and even Yelp isn't always right. We were pleasantly surprised with Ignazio's! The garlic knots are sooo good and the Penne Rustica was flavorful. The arancini is weren't bad but not my favorite. We split this meal so we could give them a careful try but will be back to try more in the future.

I found this restaurant on tripadvisor and after seeing reviews here on yelp, I knew I had to try it. Though the interior was small, it was very cozy and the staff were great. The manager was extremely attentive and personal and made it a point to check in at every table. You definitely could sense the passion and care he had for the restaurant. Our waiter came over to help us order, sharing his personal favorites with us and ended up suggestong the Penne rustica and spinach, scallops and artichoke pasta amd also suggested the Calamari and Crab cakes for appetizer. We ended up going with these suggestions and we were not dissapointed in the slightest! The penne was good, but the scallop and artichoke pasta was definitely the favorite of the table! After such a nice culinary experience, we knew we had to try their dessert. We ordered the carrot cake, tiramiso and canolli. Funny enough, everyone at the table each had their own favorite, which is a sign that each dessert was phenomenal! Our friend who was with us and had lived in New York for over a decade even made the comment that this was one of the best canollis she has ever had, a testament to their quality of food and taste. I will definitely be back again!

Here from out of state visiting, saw positive reviews so called for a take out order. Woman who answered interrupted our call 3 times to talk to customers in the restaurant. Because of this I had to repeat my order several times. When we arrived to pick up the pizza was wrong. To fix they literally put the missing ingredients quickly on the pizza, barely cooking them. The result was big chunks of raw red onion, barely warmed sausage and wilted thick chunky mushrooms on the top of the pizza. The penne rustica was okay, chicken chunks were tough and huge. I placed my order at 8:00, the owner taking credit for "accepting" my order 30minutes before closing time but blaming poor execution for the time of order is not a good excuse.

This place reminded me of my trip to Italy! Sam, treated us like family from the minute we stepped in the door! We also had the honor of meeting Ignazio! What an amazing evening it was! The food is incredible and all homemade! My calzone was the biggest I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot! I love a good calzone and this was the best! My son had gnocchi and homemade meatballs in Alfredo sauce. Also delicious! We had rice balls as an appetizer and this could have been my meal! Also super tasty! We hadn't had enough and ordered a cannoli and a piece of tiramisu! Again, fantastic! This is a must for Italian food lovers! Quaint little restaurant with wonderful ambiance, charming staff and magnificent food! Thank you Sam & Ignazio for a great mother/son date night! It was unforgettable!! Grazie a million times over!

    Penne Rustica

Went in for a late lunch over the weekend, such a cute little place! Service was great, we were seated right away & got our food shortly after ordering. My son got a pizza and wow, it was amazing. The crust was fluffy inside & chewy outside. I had the penne rustica, the sauce was delicious & the dollop of ricotta made it perfect. Oh and of course we got the garlic knots, can't go without those. The owner was there & she came to make sure everything was just as we wanted. Nice touch! We will be back!

I was recently introduced to Ignazio's Kitchen and have been there a couple times in the last month, and have gone with different friends each time. It's a quaint little placed in a Safeway strip mall, which in my experience tend to be some of the best restaurants. The food is amazing, and the service is fast and friendly. We were greeted by the new owner, Nancy, when we walked in, and our server quickly had waters and garlic knots on the table. Thanks to sharing some dishes, so far I've tried the calzone, pizza, pesto tortellini, and lasagna, and all of them were amazing. My friends said their chicken parm was one of the best they have ever had, and another one proclaimed the chicken marsala to be THE best he's had. My teenage children wolfed down their meals and were extremely happy. My daughter has some high standards on lasagna, as her favorite restaurant for lasagna is at the beach in Florida. She is now thrilled she has found her favorite lasagna place in Colorado. We will definitely be back.

It looked more like a Chinese restaurant than a pizza joint--red tablecloths, wine glasses, neon signs, a random Christmas tree, and tons of weird little decorations. We legit thought we were in the wrong spot. The menu was labeled as pizza and pasta, but there weren't many options for either. The combos were kind of all over the place--lamb, octopus, pork--so we tried to keep an open mind. But once the food came... yeah, it didn't get better. The pizza dough tasted frozen and was super soggy. The pasta dish was mostly meat with barely any pasta, and the meat wasn't even good. It just wasn't it. Wouldn't go back.

Then the Caprese Insalata. Plenty of tomatoes with thick slices of burrata all drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. Janee said Monday's are Pasta night where all pasta dishes normally $22 are $11.99; So I got the Fettuccine Carbonara with shrimp. Every table gets Foccacia with an olive oil & herb dip. But it was not Foccacia. On Pasta night you also get a Caesar salad. I added a glass of Agricola Punica "Samas" from the Italian island of Sardinia. A great smooth white Chardonnay & Vermentino blend for pasta. The fettuccine was correctly made with a cream sauce, prosciutto and peas. I got 5 large tail-on shrimps. They bring out a large bowl of grated parmesan cheese to add to your pasta. A nice touch. For dessert, I got the Limoncello cake with a 2nd glass of wine. But a weird issue popped up with the bill. Every food item was higher than the menu price. I asked Janee. She said their new POS software added in the card interchange fee which is 3%. But then I noticed the 9.15% sales tax was on the gross amount, not the actual food & drink amount. So they are overpaying sales tax which is lost revenue. I mentioned that to Janee. A different person said he would adjust the bill for the 3% fee. A glitch that needs to be remedied. Overall, the food & service were good. They offer a cash amount due for less $$ but still incorrect.

It's one of those dish's that you could try to make at home and it won't be as good, which is what I judge the quality of cooking on. The server commented that employees aren't allowed to order it because they kept buying it all until it ran out. I absolutely get it. The calamari was super crispy and has a great tangy Asian style sauce. We saw being delivered to another table and ordered it immediately. The fresh baked bread was some of the top quality stuff you expect at a super high end restaurant. Great stuff. The only sad part about the experience was our table. We were against a very dirty/moldy wall with two super bright lights shining down on us. The place was absolutely packed for Vday so I knew requesting a new table would be a PIA, but we didn't let it ruin our experience, but something for the restaurant can improve upon. The bill was $175 after tip for 2 entrees, 4 drinks and an appetizer. Super fair price for quality of the food and will be recommending to friends and family. Can't wait to come back, but sit at a different table.
