Lasagna, Caesar salad and gelato were delicious. Shrimp and crab ravioli was also very good. Service was provided very well by one young man. He kept up and provided great service. The dining atmosphere was very quaint and comfortable. Overall our experience was great. Will be back soon. Great menu!!

Nice little restaurant tucked away in old shopping center. Great service and delicious food! Owners are Eastern European Italians. Nice eclectic decor in a warm environment.

Just had lunch here and gotta say the lasagna was the world's best - honest. The restaurant is so cute and the staff is delightful. Please don't miss this place.

We were pleasantly surprised when we came into this spot. We were not expecting it to be so intimate. The inside also had a nice Italian theme and there was cool music playing. The food was incredible. We both enjoyed our meals. Everyone here was very friendly too. From the host to our waitress, it was great!

My wife, my girlfriend and I had dinner here tonight. It's only 1000 yards from my house so it was long past time to check it out. Plus, another Yelper was encouraging me to go. We got cleaned up and walked through the door about 5:30pm. We were not welcomed especially warmly. We were asked if we had a reservation and when we said no, there was some strained looks. Kind of felt like not having a reservation was inconvenient for them. It wasn't a huge deal but was more uncomfortable than it needed to be. We were seated at a beautiful table that was clean and tidy. We had our drink orders taken immediately and the drinks showed up within minutes. Very attentive and efficient staff. I ordered Shrimp Fra Diavola, my wife ordered spinach ravioli and our girlfriend ordered a veggie pizza. The pasta meals came with garlic twists and neither of us were especially impressed with the twists. They seemed stale and not especially flavorful. The main courses arrived ten minutes later and they were absolutely delicious. Mine was really spicy and did not disappoint. It was beautifully presented and the shrimp was fantastic. It was every very penny, and then some, of the reasonable price. My wife loved her spinach ravioli and said it was some of the better she has ever had. Freyja enjoyed her pizza and stated it was perfectly made. After dinner we ordered a pistachio cannoli and it was average at best. It was beautifully plated and presented but the shell was too hard to eat. It hurt my teeth. I wouldn't recommend it. Table service was flawless. Our glasses were never empty. Our server was pleasant, friendly and efficient. The restaurant is clean, nicely appointed and friendly. I really enjoyed the decor. All in all this was a very positive dining experience. I just wish we weren't made to feel like we were intruding in the first few seconds of our visit. The main courses made the entire trip worth it. They were exceptional and very high end.

Another place deserving of 5 stars, at least that's my opinion. First, be aware it's set back away from the standard shops. You'd almost think it's just some hole in the wall place nice for take out but nothing more. But the photos show it to be a very special place. Its ambiance is awesome. We'd reserved a table for four and upon arrival were led to our table. It was beautifully set up to welcome us. Cloth napkins, roses awaiting us and a bread plate for each of us, like a work of art! We ordered spinach ravioli in a rose sauce, mushroom ravioli, gnocchi gorgonzola and fettuccine carbonara. All dishes were outstanding. They also provided us with a dish of garlic twists and a dipping sauce. I'll attach photos of each plate. My choice was the spinach ravioli which was set in a rose sauce that was just right. No harsh acidity at all. Within the sauce were spinach bits. Classy! The mushroom ravioli looked awesome. The gnocchi had my eye and seemed perfectly prepared. The last dish was just as impressive. The dip for the garlic twists was special with a taste of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a sweetness as well. We polished it off. All in all a very special experience. The service was attentive and done with a smile. Top notch in my opinion.

My wife and I found Ignazio's from a Google search while on a desperate weekend hunt for cheese…read moreravioli. Despite living less than ten minutes from Ignazio's, this was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. The owner, Nancy, greeted us warmly when we entered, provided exceptional table service, and made our time at Ignazio's more than just an excellent meal but a memorable experience. First, the food. The reviews are accurate. Ignazio's has EXCELLENT pasta. My wife chose the cheese ravioli, and I ordered the bolognaise. Both exceeded our expectations. The cheese ravioli was delectate, not over-seasoned, and served in a delicious marina sauce. Ravioli tends to get rubbery when the pasta is rolled to thick, or tears or breaks down if rolled too thin. These ravioli were ion the "goldilocks zone" of thick enough to hold their body, but delicate enough to be easily severed with the side of a fork. The flavor was a well-balanced mix of cheese, herbs, and tomato acidity. Simply delicious. My bolognaise with penne pasta had the perfect mix of veggies, including fresh peas that hadn't been cooked to mush. The best thing about bolognaise is the pleasing mixture of textures it includes when done correctly. Ignazio's was flavorful, contained delicious and properly-cooked veggies, and had a perfectly-sized dollop of ricotta on top. The ricotta is a genius touch - another contrast of texture along it a temperature contrast. I ate the entire bowl full. We visited over the Spring Break weekend, which made for less-than-full restaurant, which according to the owner, Nancy, is unusual for a weekend evening. She recommended reservations on the weekend as they're typically full-up for the weekend dinner rush. Nancy spent real time at our table, answered questions, provided guidance on the menu, and genuinely made us feel seen and appreciated. Excellent food coupled with excellent service = a restaurant we will absolutely return to in the near future. I've only tried two dishes, but would already place Ignazio's as the best Italian restaurant in Lakewood. It reminds me of the small mom-and-pop Italian places I miss from Chicago that provide excellent food at reasonable prices, served with real hospitality. Ignazio's is a gem.

I've actually been here a handful of times before, but always stuck to the pizza and pasta (which are great). I honestly can't believe I overlooked the sandwiches for this long. I went with the chicken parm sandwich and it was outstanding--crispy, perfectly breaded chicken, rich marinara, and just the right amount of melted cheese on fresh bread that holds everything together without getting soggy. Easily one of the best chicken parms I've had around here. I reluctantly traded half for the sausage and peppers sandwich, and honestly... it was just as good. The sausage had great flavor and snap, the peppers were cooked perfectly, and everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. It's rare you order two different sandwiches and can't decide which one you liked more, but that was the case here. One of the sneaky best deals: you can add a cup of soup for just $2. I tried the rustic sausage and potato soup and it was excellent--hearty, flavorful, and felt homemade in the best way. What stood out beyond the food is how consistent everything felt with what others say: high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and that authentic, no-frills Italian deli vibe. You can tell they care about doing simple things really well.

Excellent little service counter stop…read more You walk in and order, find your seat, and wait for Italian deliciousness. Everything is fresh and flavorful. Really, it's white tablecloth quality at a quick-serve price. My favorite meal is the Caesar salad, followed by the burrata with ciabatta and basil pesto, then finished with the pizza logs. It's a lot of food, but worth the nap.

Absolutely awful Italian meal. And coming from an Italian family, though it doesn't matter, it was…read morepretty obvious. Let's start with my salad, which was a mixed green salad with shrimp. First of all the Bass salad was all lettuce with three sliced canned black olives. Not a whole olive three slices of one olive. Maybe three or four sliver of red onion. There's almost no dressing and it was absolutely bland. I ordered it with shrimp because I'm trying to stay heart healthy. In fact, usually when people order salads they are trying to eat healthy. When my food arrived, the shrimp were on a separate plate literally sitting in a half an inch of butter. They were obviously sautéed or prepared to shrimp scampi. I had to take some napkins to squeeze out the copious amount of butter that was on the shrimp. Not withstanding the unhealthy nature of it, and all the years I've had shrimp on a salad. I have never had something as strange as shrimp scampi as the topping for a salad. My son got the penne, vodka pasta. A dish he orders very regularly from restaurants. Like others have commented, it was very bland. The sauce did not stick. The bread that was included was the most basic uninspiring tasteless bread that could've been provided. For the record, I picked this place against my son's wishes. The ambience and reviews seemed like this was going to be a great restaurant. And while we were waiting for our food, I could not stop raving on the atmosphere and what appeared to be a great kitchen. However, obviously my experience was the polar opposite. With so many great restaurants around I would stay away.
