Honestly, there needs to be more places like this. It may be a little pricier overall, but seriously good meat selections. To top that off, they got a lunch deal with sandwiches that I didn't know even existed. So even if you are curious to get your grub on, it's a good place to come to.

Steak, not very well trimmed.

Geees! Pretty disappointed with this order. Look at the fat! Half of the steak! We are regular customers, and yes, I ordered these in a hurry, but I expect more! We just trimmed the steaks. I changed my review to a 1. No butcher should ever let this get by a standard of practice.

This is a breaded chicken from Tony's with a chili inside and a little cheese inside. They are on skewers. Green chili topping.

Tony's has been great throughout the Covid19 pandemic. They have hired people out of work from catering and other positions. Their food continues to be top notch. I can look like a gourmet with their delicious shortcuts! We have had fresh fish, fantastic brisket, and fabulous chicken. They have a bakery to get fresh baked goods, a really good vegetable section with some fruits. Their Covid 19 precautions work. There are arrows and spacing. The employees wear masks. They have early shopping for the elderly and compromised patients. Consider doing safe shopping at Tony's for restaurant quality meals at home! Amazing display of fresh meats and seafood at Tony's! It also has many gourmet items, cheeses, cakes, and pastries will catch your eye as you stroll through the store. If you signup, you will receive coupons and BOGO's on a regular basis. Today they had chicken breasts on bogo and $3.95lb baby back ribs. We purchased bacon wrapped huge filets for my sister's birthday, cooked them at home and she was in heaven. We picked up almond green beans and cooked salmon with teriyaki glaze and cooked salmon with spinach and cheese. We had an amazing surf and turf that was loved by our whole group! If you are planning a special dinner, you will certainly find everything you need at Tony's. I recommend that you buy sale items to freeze for later use. They are a

This is the 3rd time in as many months that I've ordered a sandwich and have been given the wrong one. I get the hint. It is too difficult for them to follow a simple request. It's pretty disappointing to get something so very different from what was expected. And why do they serve very very rare roast beef on white bread??? It is disgusting and bloody looking. I skipped lunch today.

Prepared foods! Nom! Nom!

Fresh Seafood in Colorado?!! I'm blame it on living in Boston for eight years and growing up on the Jersey Shore. I may have lost the big hair; but I retained my seafood snobbery. In fact, I avoided all seafood in Colorado for the first two years I lived here. (PSA for anyone visiting the state or recently moved here, Rocky Mountain Oysters are NOT seafood.) After moving from Cap Hill to the Denver Burbs, I got a beige house, a dog, had three toddlers, worked long corporate hours, indulged in a few too many Mommy juices one night and thought*, "I'm going to throw a dinner party, like those Pinterest She-roes!" * Thought = blasted a text to a bunch of friends. I'll spare you the details of my WTF have I done? moment, but THAT was when I met my night in shining armor - Tony! Don't let Tony's demure appearance fool you. This small gourmet grocery/deli/meat/fish/bakery reminded me of my New Jersey roots, where local independent businesses served as the go-to for high quality food. Bonus: the butchers and fish mongers always ask how you're going to make it. Pro tip: ask them "well, what would YOU do with it?!?" Wait for their answer, and say you coincidentally plan to do the same thing. Typically, they'll even sprinkle their magic seasoning spice blends on the meat or seafood for you. The bakery is magic (holy cannolis!) as are the pre-prepared foods ! Everything is great! Another pro tip - they cater. So forego the sad chain establishment pizza for a night and serve an angel hair capellini with capers, or their chicken cutlets. You'll fall in love with Tony's too!

Let's check this Smoking Meats event out!

Well well well... I saw an event posted and decided to go. Here is what was posted: May is Smoked Meats Month at Tony's and naturally, Colorado's Best Butcher is teaming up with one of Colorado's premiere specialty shops for all things BBQ... Proud Souls BBQ & Provisions! Join the Tony's & Proud Souls BBQ teams at the Tony's in Littleton (W Bowles Ave)for food and a live smoking demonstration on Saturday, May 22nd! From 11am-3pm, we'll have the smoker going, cooking up meals and sampling smoked beef short ribs. We'll even have a few smoking guides for you to follow along with at home the next time you fire up your grill or smoker. If you're looking for lunch, treat yourself to a slow-smoked pulled pork sandwich (just like the ones you love from our hog roasts with your choice of Tony's BBQ Sauce) or a smoked bratwurst, a bag of Miss Vickie's chips, and a canned soft drink (Coke products) or a Tony's water. Meal cost is $10.99/ea. While you're there, speak with a member of the Proud Souls team about all things smoking. With years of experience in their own backyards, professional Kansas City Barbecue Society competitions, and catering, they're happy to answer any questions you might have. You're buying quality meats from Tony's, so you've got to have a quality equipment to cook (or grill... or smoke...) it up right! Visit them in Denver, Littleton, or online at proudsoulsbbq.com for Smokers, Grills, BBQ Supplies, Specialty Items & Professional Advice. Last but not least, you can also enter to win a Yoder YS480S Pellet Grill (a $1,899 retail value!) generously furnished by Proud Souls BBQ starting on Thursday, May 13th. Visit www.TonysMarket.com to enter for your chance to win during the contest period of 12am MST on Thursday, May 13 - 11:45pm MST on Saturday, May 29th. No purchase necessary. Limit one entry per person. I can tell you that the sandwich was pretty good. Go in and grab the chocolate banana loaf... it's pretty good.

The prime rib was for my birthday dinner so my husband left his phone number with them. He received a call later that day asking if the prime rib should be fresh or frozen. They wanted to make sure it did not get frozen if it was being used right away. He advised fresh and commented at what good customer service it was to make the distinction. We went together for pick up. The person who helped us when through the entire smoker bundle to show us the contents and then got the rib roast. Everything was well packaged and arranged. Even though it was the Friday before a religious holiday, and many folks were picking things up, it did not take long for us to get our order, pay and be on our way. The meats we have received both on this order and in the past have always been high quality. Edwards is an excellent butcher shop.

I'm sure it's pretty tough to make these as tender as they were, but I was very happy with the results. I also had the pulled pork which was juicy and delicious and the brisket, which is always great. What may have impressed me the most was the grits. I also highly recommend going there on a weekend to get their three dollar Sammie. Don't think you'll beat that price anywhere for a solid amount of meat.

The employee taking orders didn't know much about the sides (when my friend asked about the beans he just showed them to him instead of explaining what they have in them or if he likes them). I asked about the grits and another employee had to chime in that they were good. We both ordered the combo which includes a drink and side. We waited for a while for our food and went in after a while to see if everything was ready. They seemed flustered and told us the food would be right out. Granted there were a few people ahead of us but less than 5 total. The real McCoy sandwich was REAL dry. It comes with burnt ends and the bison green Chile and cheddar sausage (used to have pork as well) and their regular or buffalo sauce helped but not enough to overcome the dryness of the meats. The andouille & corn grits were fine as well. The sausage gives it a nice pop but the grits were more like potatoes in consistency. The best part was the Boylans ginger ale. Bummed Roaming Buffalo wasn't what I had previously. May come back but with other BBQ options it may be a while.

That's what you expect when you're paying barbecue prices. Sadly, none of that showed up here. The brisket and burnt ends were the biggest disappointment. Instead of having that dark bark and beautiful smoke ring you expect from meat that's been smoked low and slow, everything looked gray and lifeless. There was no smoke flavor, no seasoning, and worst of all, the meat was dry. Not slightly dry, but the kind where you need sauce just to get it down. Burnt ends are usually the highlight of a barbecue meal, crispy outside with juicy, tender meat inside. These were just dry chunks with no caramelization or flavor payoff. The sausage didn't help things either. Overall, nothing about the meal felt homemade or smoked. It felt mass produced and rushed, missing the flavor and texture that make barbecue special in the first place. What made the experience even worse is the price. Spending around $40 on a pound of meat, expecting quality barbecue, and getting dry, bland food instead. For that price, you expect memorable barbecue, not something you regret ordering halfway through the meal. The food was so disappointing that I ended up throwing most of it away and going somewhere else afterward just to get a decent meal. That's something I almost never do, especially after paying premium prices.
