Three years ago I was in Denver to see a show at Red Rocks when me and my buddy checked out Blue Pan. When I returned home after that trip I was sad because I thought I'd never be back and I might never have Blue Pan again or get to see a show in Red Rocks again. Last week I was lucky enough to return to Denver to again see a show at Red Rocks but I swear I was more excited to go back to Blue Pan. It was literally my first stop when I got into town. I said it before in my review of the other Blue Pan across town but it's quite literally the best pizza I've ever had. My daughter was with me this trip and she's not a fan of thicker pizzas. She ended up eating two pieces herself. You need to go try this place it is just too good to pass up. Now I have to come up with another reason to visit Denver because I don't want this to be the last time I've had Blue Pan pizza. read more

Good pizza but nothing that I would consider life changing. The wait for food was a bit excruciating. We ordered a small Detroit style pizza (Rocky Mountain), the Motown soul dip and some beers. The bartender was very friendly but we probably waited 30 minutes for the dip then another 10 for the pizza. This was on a Wednesday night at around 8pm. Sat at the bar came in pretty hungry and had heard great things. I was a bit indecisive but even the small pizza you can get half and half, which I did. The wait took longer than expected but I was not disappointed at all. The crust was very crunchy and the ingredients were quality. Loved the Parmesan mix they had to add on top. Service was great, chill and friendly-I watched the game while I waited. I could only eat two slices.... Definitely a lot of bread (as to be expected) but it was light not too dense. I'm a think crust gal and their Tavern style is the thinnest, which is what I ordered, but it doesn't come in a personal/small size like the Detroit style. Bummer kinda. Mostly if you don't want to deal with leftovers. But otherwise, who doesn't love leftover pizza. The Pepperoni was thin, the kind of thin that curls up but I actually liked that. Thin pepperoni is still ok with me! The ends of the crust on this style are crispy! Yay for crispy! The Tavern is cut in triangles. The New York - is like hand tossed. Puffy, more doughy, soft end crust with thin inside slices, cut in triangles. Detroit is the thickest, breadiest and their signature and cut in squares. It's nice to be able to get that personal size in this option. They're a fancier pizza joint with cloth napkins and they feature a beer tap list including some wine. read more

First time visit to this place and boy it did NOT disappoint ! We ordered the Bella Trifecta with Chicago based ceresota flour crust! It was to die for ! We also ordered Detroit style Parma Italia and the Little Rose. They were fantastic! The place was packed so it took a little long to get in and the wait for pizza but it was worth the wait ! I will blame my wife that we have lived down the street from this place for years, I love pizza, and we haven't actually set foot in here. Only an occasional delivery ask. And she prefers thin crust pizza. Anyway, there are days when A) we search lunch specials in the area and B) when she is in the mood for pizza. This was one of those days where A & B were successful. We loved our experience here, and we were the sole bar sitters that day. We loved the food, the drink, and the whole lunch experience overall. Kaylin (forgive me if spelling is incorrect) was our bartender/server, and she couldn't have been more on point, both with efficiency and welcoming personality. I had an IPA (Techno Tom) and she had some wine. The lunch special is a flashback from 10 years ago in price, and I thought the $10.99 price tag was easily surpassed by a fountain drink, hearty salad, and big slice of pizza. We both had the special slice of the day, the Little Rose, and it was delicious. They didn't have any house hot sauce, but I thought outside of the box and asked for their chili oil, and it was a magnificent add to my slice. Definitely recommend doing that if you prefer spicy things. The salad was way above what I would expect from a lunch special. Very quaint, cool bar seating with a great atmosphere overall. After hearing many of our friends rave about Blue Pan, we finally decided to make the trek into Denver and oh boy, we were NOT disappointed it. They had both Detroit and NY style pizza on the menu and quite a menu of various topping combo! It was so hard to decide. I personally went with half n half of Little Rose and Gold Hill. Little Rose has a drizzle of hot honey which brings the pizza to another level especially if you like a slight sweetness to your savory pizza. However, Gold Hill was my favorite! The balsamic vinegar tied the whole pizza together with the prosciutto and fig preserves. Ambiance was fantastic, has at least one TV on with the football games if thats your thing! read more

We got here around 4:45 PM on a Friday night. It was fairly dead, but not for very long! This place is a hit and everyone knows it. We ordered two Detroit style pizzas and One Tavern style. We also ordered eggplant, fries, eggplant Parmesan, and their antipasto salad. 10/10 for all of the appetizers. I wasn't too fond of the Rocky Mountain Detroit style pizza nor the Louie Louie Tavern style pizza, but the table seemed to really enjoy it so I think that was just a personal preference. Why four stars instead of five? Well the service was amazing upon our arrival, but our server wasn't the most present. Halfway through our meal, we had asked her to box the leftover salad and eggplant Parmesan, and she said she would. However, when it came to paying the check, we asked her about it, and she simply said "I'm so sorry. It's been thrown away". That was very disappointing because we had half a salad left. Im posting a recent email I sent to the manager: Hi Giles~ I was a customer that came into the Blue Pan restaurant about 20 minutes ago. We ended up leaving due to the shift manager. She was incredibly rude to us the minute we walked into your restaurant. My husband described it as condescending when we simply asked her if it was ok to sit by the window. And then when I asked her where the garbage was she was rude as well to me. When I had asked our waitress if I could speak to the manager she brought over "the shift manager named xxxx" who seemed to not even be aware of how she treated us. She proceeded to ask me what she did wrong and I told her that if she was going to be the hostess or face of the restaurant her behavior and demeanor towards us was off putting and rude. I've worked in food and customer service for many years as a young adult and I understand it isn't always the easiest line of business to work in. Your shift manager serves as the "face" of the restaurant/host and her attitude and demeanor with us was unwelcoming and rude. Our waitress was welcoming and nice. We don't consider ourselves to be demanding customers. We just came into your restaurant to get lunch. We always try to treat people who are in the service industry with respect. We called ahead of time and they said they had 3 tables open. Came here around 5:30pm and we were seated immediately. The menu is huge so it's a little intimidating at first but just go with a pizza with ingredients you like. My favorite pizza was the Detroit Style Brooklyn Bridge Pizza. The little flower plumes of ricotta cheese were my favorite part of the pizza. These squares are so filling. I think I was only able to have two squares and still have room for 1 slice of New York Style Margherita Pizza. The Margherita pizza was just a standard slice. It didn't stand out to me like the Brooklyn Bridge pizza. Just a safe option so you could have felt like you didn't only have one type of pizza. There's some parking on the street. Easy to Lyft to and from here. Leftovers are still good after dinner. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting! read more

Being from Detroit and coming here was pretty cool! They have a bunch of u of m and lions gear all throughout their restaurant. Very cool to see halfway across the country. We started with the good dog garlic bread which was delicious. Its basically a cheese pizza without the sauce. In addition to the marinara that comes with it we got the garlic ranch which was the best ranch Ive probably ever had. The creaminess and the garlic made it perfect to dip the bread in. We also got the half size of the antipasto salad which was fresh and had a decent amount of toppings on it. For the entree we got the Brooklyn bridge small square pizza. The dollops of the ricotta cheese made the pizza one of our favorites. The crust was crispy and the toppings were unlike any other pizza here in Denver. This is some of the best Detroit style pizza we have had! Overall we ordered a little bit of everything in the smaller portions and felt that it was enough for 2 people. Cant go wrong with ordering a little bit of everything here as it was all delicious. This is the second time we've been here when visiting Denver and it never disappoints! Walked in around noon on a Saturday and there was no wait. I like the ambience of the restaurant felt very clean and neat which I always appreciate. We were a party of 5 and seated promptly. My dad usually doesn't love marinara sauce but he liked this a lot. This is my first time having an eggplant parm but was very good. Would get again. Prospector with hot honey: my first time getting a Detroit style pizza - the pizza was thick but not dense but fluffy. This was good! Sweetie pie: this was interesting. I've never had any pizza like this. I don't know if I loved the blended cheese cream(?) on top but it was interesting to try. It felt a little heavy for me, personally wouldn't get this again. Also pretty spicy bc of the jalapeños. Ordered 2 large pizzas for 5 people and it was plenty! We even had left overs. I personally could not even have 2 slices.
