I'm late to the party of Cart-Driver but so happy I finally made it! I was able to try the Daisy ($17), which is a margherita pizza, and the Peppers ($21)! I found the Daisy to be a bit bland and needing more cheese, sauce and basil, but the Peppers was absolutely delish! The quality pepperoni and bit of spiciness was perfect! Both pizzas were served piping hot fresh from the wood fire oven and had beautifully worked chewy crusts. The restaurant has an industrial vibe as the structure is literally constructed from shipping containers. Very casual. Order at the counter and sit indoor or out in the middle patio. Unbelievably cool artisimal flare in this small pizza joint named Cart Driver on Larimer. I really had to hunt to find this place as it was not on the regular food sites. Cart Driver should be your first choice for incredible pizza in Denver. Located in a small space that looks like a converted storage unit, Cart Driver only seats about 30 people. Our perch was up front looking into the compact but efficient wood fired pizza oven and kitchen. For a Saturday afternoon, the place was hopping. They have appetizers, oysters, boards, salads and pizzas. We started with the chicken mousse, toasted rosemary focaccia, apricot spread and mostarda. The mousse was flavorful, smooth, great taste and incredibly rich. Some of the best focaccia I've ever had. Our pizza selection was the little neck clam with pancetta, roasted garlic, panna and a grilled lemon wedge. The dough was fluffy, light, savory, perfect char and a hint of salt. Both dishes were unbelievable, a bit higher price point but well worth it. Cart Driver on Larimer was a huge impressive surprise. The food combinations were unique, tasty and a definite must return to try other dishes. The vibe here is chill and unassuming. This small "gem" won't stay below the radar for long. My family and I went here for dinner last Saturday, and it was fantastic! The hostess was very kind and efficient. My daughter had made a reservation, so we were seated promptly. Our server, whose name I had unfortunately forgotten, was vivacious! She gave off good energy and was super helpful with the menu choices-all looked so yummy it was hard to decide! We ordered a variety of sides to all share: Burrata, Grilled Sprouting Cauliflower, Mussels, Pork Bolognese, and Market Pizza. All were freshly made, delicious, and plentiful-we practically had to be rolled out of there! The only thing that was a tad disappointing was the cauliflower-it looked like a combination of stringy broccoli/asparagus and was very chewy, so I don't think it was cauliflower. What a gem! My husband and I stayed at the Ramble and this was right across the street and we are so happy to have stumbled on this spot! The Pizza is absolutely decadent! Perfectly cooked, amazing ingredients, fabulous crust....and I really mean that, I don't eat crust but this crust was worth eating and I did! We ordered the hot chicken pizza which was quite a surprise, just a menagerie of flavors that were epically paired to create a unique combo that I've been thinking of ever since!!!!! Spicy chicken, pickles, some sort of magical sauce...yum city! We also ordered the peppers pizza which is basically their version of pepperoni but with fresh garlic and Calabrian chili...it was also terrific! Lastly we ordered a customized pie with lots of meats and some other extras and it was loaded with flavors and it was also a hit. Came here after a drink at Death & Co (across the street) and while Cart-Driver is not near my home, I always wish it was closer. The pizza is simple, good quality ingredients cooked just perfectly. They use the cupping pepperoni and high quality cheeses and toppings. We got a pepperoni and sausage and greens pizza. Both great, and also they do have a good selection of beers and drinks too. You pay a higher price here, especially for a friendly however very casual atmosphere (order at counter, get number for table), but it is definitely worth it. read more

The texture was perfect and I think that's a tough feat when you have stonefruit on a pizza. You have to consider the liquid it adds and how to cut it so you have the right balance. They use a sour dough crust which was unique and really good. We got the most traditional pizza they had which was more or less a pepperoni. Unwanted the clam pizza but just wasn't in the cards for us. It's quaint. Okay it's pretty small. They do have a seating area outside that was nice and a little patio out front. For what it was, I thought this price was high. The wood fired pizza and salad were crafted fantastically and everything tasted wonderful. Honestly I was going to just let it go but I'm always so conflicted with places like this. The food was so delicious, amazing pizza, great crust, fresh oysters. It also had a good amount of seating and placed where you didn't need to be around a lot of people regardless of how busy. The only negative is the staff. My wife was getting hangry and we stopped here for pizza. Due to it being a Saturday night and about 9pm it was busy with a 45 minute wait for pizza. But we were able to get a table right away and pizza came out within 25 or so minutes. They were able to swap regular cheese for vegan cheese on their mushroom pizza. Our table was right in front of the brick oven and watched them make all the pizzas. Place is pretty small. Pizza was great. Forgot to take a picture. They were about 10" pizzas with hand tossed dough. I loved it. You could easily share or finish by yourself depending on appetite. Prices were up there because of the area. Okay Cart- Driver! You fulfilled my late night pizza expectations and then some. This place is awesome. Let's talk about it. First, GOOD late night food. I come from a place where late night options are rendered through a drive thru (no shade, I love Taco Bell) but sometimes you want something that is made with the freshest local tasting ingredients and sit down service. Second, the spot itself it's really cool. It kinda felt like a maze with the different rooms and patio, I saw all of them on my way to the bathroom. The patio was pretty vibey and cutely lit. I liked it. Third, the food. This was probably some of the best food I've had in awhile. I loved the cheese and the crust, so warm and soft and fresh right out of the oven. I was simple and went with cheese and it hit the spot 100%. Fourth, they have a spritz menu. Anyone that knows me I love an aperol spritz. I would have preferred it to be in a large wine glass/ goblet... however, that presentation wouldn't fit in a spot like this. The smaller glass just made sense with the over all feel of the place. I've been to Sicily and have had several pizzas while in Sicily and I can attest that the pizza here is very close to what I've had in Sicily! I got the peppers pizza and husband had the clams pizza - both really good. Pizza size is not Sicily inspired! Late night pizza? Hell yeah. Was visiting from out of town on a work trip and we stopped in here after a long event day. Pizza always sounds good after working long hours. This place is cozy but really nice. They have more seating in the back area and even a patio, but since we were here late at night, it was chilly AF outside, so we made friends with people at the bigger tables in the back and sat with them! So nice. We ordered a variety of different items, including some pizza and and charcetuerie. I did order some wine, but I think it was like a homemade wine situation and I didn't really love it. We ordered a variety of things, including the Daisy pizza, a charcuterie board, and a few drink drinks. I got one of the spritz options and I really enjoyed it. It was on the small side and had a good amount of ice, but overall I liked the flavor. The pizza was very solid, if somewhere can do a basic margarita pizza well then you know they've got their stuff together. I would love to come back and try something like the clam pizza which is obviously much more adventurous. The charcuterie was really good. Everything from the focaccia to the butter and the raisins that I can't stop thinking about. Seriously who makes you crave raisins. Best pizza in Denver in my humble opinion. The team is 10/10 always, the pizza is so good and the drinks are incredible. That said, the landlord just made the already really tiny parking lot a pay to park lot which feels really slimy ($6 / hour note you have to start the clock and end the clock yourself on your phone. If you forget, it seems you will still pay. Max $15 a day but if you come for happy hour and stay past midnight it can charge another $15 ). They have several water coolers placed around the restaurant for those that do not want to partake. I was in a party of four and we each ordered a different pizza. One of the best pizzas I have ever had is the white. I absolutely love Castelvetrano olives, and this pizza has it! Definitely no skimping. My friend who got the mushroom said that hers was lacking a little bit in flavor. The pepper was delicious and I didn't try the Daisy. Oh my goodness, the pizza was amazing! And the whole vibe was beautiful. I loved the courtyard dining area open to be outside while maintaining some seclusion. The rotating tap, a local pils beer was delicious, as was our focaccia and black olive butter. We had two pizzas, one with sausage and kale and the other with bacon, onions and tomatoes, both were incredible! The staff was super friendly and engaging.
