I can't believe I haven't written a review for Cart Driver yet? It's my go to pizza shop, but they offer SO much more than delicious wood fired pizza. The salads, bread and mousse, oysters, cocktails, accouterments, spicy pizza oil (!!!), and even their olives and tinned fish are all scrumptious. I'll let the photos do the talking, but really this place is always on my recommendation list to locals, and their late night happy hour is the perfect night cap! Where else can you get top of the line wood fired pizza for $8? YES! Apologies if my excitement actually manifested into audio and blew your phone's speakers out. Their re-grand opening after over a year was a treat beyond measure for everyone. It's all the conversation you could hear from every table. They served up the best pizza in town AGAIN. Their Dealer's Choice cocktail was phenomenal - ambrosia, grapefruit, and bourbon. Because five years later, Cart Driver still delivers. Actually, it's really freakin' awesome. It's one of the most reliable spots in all of RiNo. We stumbled in here after a boozy adventure next door at Death & Co. The combination of drinks at D&C followed by pizza at Cart Driver is one of the best 1-2 punches in all of Denver if you ask me. Open late, wood fired pizzas, beyond boozy beverages, what else do you need? We sat outside and even though it was a little chilly, the heat from the fresh pizza and cocktails warmed us up. I'll say it now and I'll say it louder for the people in the back, the Clam Pie is just as good as the first time I had it five years ago. Squeezing the scorching hot lemon on top of the pizza earns you the right to shovel it down as quickly as humanly possible. It's pizza perfection. One of the best pies in town without question. Great pizza, cool vibes! Perfect for a late night snack. The inside ordering area is quite small, but there's plenty of seating throughout the restaurant and back patio, plus a few spots up front. It's cool because you can watch your pizza being made right behind the counter. It definitely gets pretty hot inside! The staff is super friendly. I ordered the Peppers pizza and my friend the Mushroom. Mine was outstanding and she loved hers, too! They're personal size pies, so probably don't want to share if you're really hungry! This is exactly my favorite style of pizza. If you tend to enjoy Neapolitan pizza (thinner/chewy crusts, wood-fired) then you're in for a treat. My favorite is a simple margherita but their clam is also delicious. The owner, Andy, was kind enough to invite us back after our disappointing dining experience a few weeks ago. Our second experience at Cart-Driver was like night and day! We ordered the Peppers and the Cart-Driver, both of which were cooked perfectly. The Cart-Driver had a nice kick from the red pepper flakes in the sausage. Checked out this little pizza shop for some late night snacks and we were pleasantly surprised by a few great deals, and some very excellent tasting pizza! After 10pm the "Daisy" (essentially a margarita pizza) is $8. This is a great deal considering the dough is fresh made daily and each pie is made to order. Another person in our party ordered the clam pizza and was pleased with his choice. Between the clams, the full cloves of garlic, and the fresh made dough, it was quite tasty! The only thing I would've changed is the level at which the music was playing. It was hard to hear each other talk in a small space, with such loud music. read more

Quite good pizza. The crust is 7/10 and overall pizza is probably 8/10. We came here having been told it's neopolitan pizza and it's not really , but I won't hold it against them because I don't think it's advertised as such. The crust is somewhere between neopolitan and I guess roman style. It's basically like a crisper neopolitan crust. Oysters sucked ass, sorry. One of our favorite pizza places in Denver and one of the closets pizzas we can get to what we had in Italy. They have a wood oven so the crust is chewy and smoky. The mozzarella, marinara, and crust are perfectly balanced. We personally like pairing it with hot honey! read more

Delicious food. It's small and crowded but it doesn't matter because it's very good. Be prepared to be patient for your pizzas to come out. That is the nature of a wood fired pizza place so you can't fault them for that. Order appetizers! They're really good. My friends enjoyed the prosciutto, focaccia and the chicken liver dip. As for the pizza. I love the sauce. It's definitely true Italian style because it's got the delicious sweetness to it. The cheeses are so so fresh. 4.5 stars. It's been awhile since I've visited Cart-Driver! I'm in RiNo all the time, but I guess I usually avoid places I know will be insanely busy. My friend and I came here after 10pm, and I actually had no idea they had a late night menu. Adding it back to my list of favorites. Plus the staff is pretty awesome, and the restaurant is always super clean. We ordered a few cocktails and split a Peachza ($21) which has Palisade peaches, horseradish honey, brie, calabrian chili, basil, and red onion. So good! Love the bench seating when it's available. And parking is great outside of prime hours. You can be sure I'll be back for another late night meal again soon. read more

Started with squash and cheese. Nice balance and the squash had a firm texture that I prefer. On to a chopped salad. Full of goodies like dried cherries, favas, olive, and a green buttermilk dressing. We went with the classic margarita pizza, which the nailed along with a perfectly realized crust. Me and my wife literally ate pizza for every meal (except the one night we ate @ Uchi) while in Denver for 4.5 days. I can safely say that cart driver was the best pizza in Denver. The staff, food, in house made roasted nuts, all excellent. The Peppers Pizza was perfect, so was the Amatriciana with pepperoni added which isn't necessary. Make sure to get some roasted nuts. Delicious lunch! Glad my friend and I were able to make it to Cart-Driver during our short visit to Denver. We shared half a dozen oysters, a salad, and the clam pizza (just the right amount of food for two people if you're not too hungry). Everything tasted delicious, but I think my favorite would have to be the clam pizza. Cart-Driver also seems like the perfect place to hang out as there's indoor and outdoor seating. They also have really delicious chicken liver mousse that they serve with Rosemary focaccia made in house. Why did it take me so long to check this place out? I've heard so much about it and finally went just yesterday during their happy hour. They still have an early (3-5 PM) happy hour and a late (10PM-12AM), which have different deals! That said, both appear to be great. Their in-house hot sauce is also fabulous. As for other food: - the infamous clam pizza: this did, in fact, live up to its hype. Would HIGHLY recommend. *chef's kiss* - chicken liver mousse: this was incredible. The bread? The mousse? The apricot on top of the mousse? I wound up using the extra mousse on the pizza crust. - bread & butter: loved it! Bread was the same as that of the chicken liver mousse. The black olive butter was a nice whipped texture, and the olive flavor was subtle (at least, I thought it was subtle compared to your typical black olive pizza toppings) for all the olive haters out there. - messed up negroni: really enjoyed it. Was not a phenomenal *must-have* but I would easily order this again. I would happily return here. There are other items on the menu that I would love to try. One of my most frequented spots in RiNo, Cart Driver is always a good option when I want a fast casual meal that tastes fresh! Service here is always really fast so don't be discouraged when you see the line out the door. There's also plenty of seating with a patio out in the back. Our favorites are the Daisy & the Peppers pizza, salads have been hit or miss with me, often times they are too sweet or creamy. Probably best pizza in town. This is my second time coming to the Cart-Driver and has been very good every time. Food- We tried the $3 oysters. They were a little smaller than I expected but they were really good. Comes with lemon and a side vinegar. When it comes to the pizza it's a no brainer, get the cart-driver. Sitting- they have plenty of outdoor sitting and indoor sitting. I usually enjoy the outdoor sitting with food being served outside. Parking- They only have street parking. This part of town is usually very busy with all the bars and restaurants around, so might need to drive around a little bit if there isn't parking up front. read more
