    Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna

I love going to JINYA. It's always the best ramen and really good shareable plates. The food is so tasty, and the prices are reasonable. The waiter is also very attentive so our waters were never empty. And the ambiance is chill and somewhat spacious at this location. We will definitely be coming back!

We ordered the birria ramen and tonkatsu black ramen. My husband said the birria ramen needed a little bit more flavor so he added some spicy sauce to it and said it enhanced the flavor. I have no notes for the tonkatsu black ramen, it was very flavorful and the thin noodles were chewy. We also ordered the crispy fried chicken, it was a great stater. Our server, Larry was amazing. He was very attentive and polite.

First time getting ramen in Denver it was delicious. I got the pork red level 4. I can handle spice but the server recommended this level and it was perfect. It was so flavorful and the service was fast and friendly. Our server also helped us choose sake after we did the flight and it enhanced the whole dinner. It's a darker red light vibe, great for date night.

The ambiance was nice. Upscale and trendy. I was unfortunately disappointed that they were out of rice noodles for the ramen. The other two noodle options were wheat based so I couldn't get ramen with my wheat intolerance. Our waitress kindly offered to give me a bowl of rice instead of noodles with a ramen bowl but that didn't sounds good so I got one of their rice bowl dishes instead. The rice bowl was fine but I wouldn't recommend it. There wasn't much sauce and so I had to heavily augment with the sauces on the table and the toppings to rice ratio was very rice heavy. The broth of my partner's ramen bowl I had though was amazing. Delicious with a complex umami profile. Their ramen is the star don't deviate. The waitress also told many groups around us that they were out of various things. I don't have any advice for making sure they have what you want to order but it's a good thing to be prepared for.

The ramen is sooo good! And the service was even better. Orlando was our server and he was amazing- so kind and attentive. I got the lychee martini and it was very good. We also got the crunchy rice appetizer and that was amazing (I could have eating like one million of them).

I took a few friends to Jinya who enjoy Japanese cuisine but hadn't been there before. Compared to my last visit, this was a much better experience. Unfortunately, the food was still pretty average, especially for the price. My ramen, the special Tokyo Yatai Classic, was good, though I would still prefer a thicker noodle. The others at the table ordered the chicken chashu bowl and the garlic rice plate, which was new at the time of this review. Both of them said their dishes were average at best, but they both enjoyed the appetizers we ordered. I highly recommend Jinya if you're in the mood for ramen and you're at Union Station; otherwise, I'd venture elsewhere around Denver for ramen.

Stopped in last night for some ramen on a chillier day. It's in the Union Station area, so parking can be tough depending on what time of day but there is valet parking offered in front of the station. This spot has plenty of seating with moody lighting (at least at night, ha). The staff was very friendly and we were sat at the bar. We ordered the birria and wonton ramens. I had the wonton ramen. The wontons were packed with shrimp and chicken. The noodles were thicker and yummy. The overall flavor was okay. There was nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't my favorite or something I would order again. My son felt the same about his birria. It was okay. I would like to come back and try some of the other menu items that looked really good and some of the cocktails!

In my option, it's the best ramen restaurant in proximity to Union Station. Been coming here for a decade or so and it's been consistently great. The decor is actually very cool with the giant mural. It seems to be busy often and the menu has new signature appetizers and ramen just about monthly. It's still solid after so many years. As far as food, the ramen is great and comes down to the flavor you are have an appetite for. One noodle that is quite delicious but hidden on the menu is the kale noodle. Drinks are also delicious with my favorite being the Smoked Old Fashioned. Staff is in most cases on top of it, super rare for a mishap. They are very attentive too. Visit here once a month, so I would recommend it, especially when in the area.

When you are hungry in downtown Denver near Union Station look across the street to find Jinya Ramen Bar. A beautiful restaurant that has a full bar a decor that is relaxing to help you unwind! The food is amazing and they have happy hour from 3 pm to 6 pm, Mon-Sun, that includes appetizers. We ordered sake for only $6 which was enough for 2 people to share. The food is excellent and the service is pleasantly nice! The salmon taco appetizer is small but tasty that will make you excited for your meal! The rice bowls are large and delicious! Every meal is prepared to perfection! The meals are large enough to take home so leftovers! My Flying V Harvest Ramen, was so satisfying on a cold snowy day! You do have to pay for parking in Denver and I like to park on the street as it is usually cheaper than the parking decks.

    Premium Tonkotsu Red + Broccolini

I forgot about how much I love this spot. It's been a couple of years and wow, still phenomenal! I popped us onto the waitlist while finishing up at a Christmas party and our table was ready right as we arrived. Parking can be tricky in downtown but we were all able to find a meter--free on Sundays. It's a busy spot but I like the ambiance. Staff was fabulous. Potstickers, Brussels sprouts, edamame all delicious. I had the Premium Tonkotsu Red and it was delightful. You are able to select your own spice level out of 10, and the server mentioned that it runs very hot. I typically cover all of my food in hot sauce and a 3 was perfect + some crunchy chili oil. I can't even imagine what a 10 would feel like on the tongue. Be warned. The flavor was INSANE. They always have the most perfectly tender pork, and it's not super fatty which I love. Now the hidden gem, why is their broccolini so good? The ends are perfectly crispy. Add it to your soup! + free garlic :) The rest of my party ordered all different types of chicken ramen and everyone was really happy. Highly recommend.

Came here for lunch to use a gift card we got a while back. We were seated immediately and our wait staff was very prompt with attending to us which was great! Had higher hopes, but the food was just "eh" to me. It was decent ramen, but for the price and being located downtown I was hoping for something with a little more "wow" factor. Tried both the Tonkotsu Black and the Tonkotsu Original. I felt that the Black broth wasn't quite bold enough for me, but I did like the thin noodles it's served with. The broth in the Original was yummy, but the thick noodles in it were "just ok." We also tried the tuna crispy rice appetizers... disappointing. Only 3 pieces, fairly small. The rice wasn't all that crisp and felt a little gummy in the middle, or like it was kinda just globbed together and fried on the outside. The fish flavor didn't stand out all that much either. Overall, sure I guess I'd come back if I was already in downtown and really craving ramen, but not somewhere I'm going to go out of my way to visit. Happy we had a gift card because I definitely don't think it would've been worth it paying the entire bill.

The Clurb with a side of ramen are the vibes I was getting. After a long day on the slopes, we were looking for something warm and soothing. It was a short 10 min walk from our hotel so we went for a stroll. Once entering the hostess stand greets you. We were seated immediately upon entering. We got the birria ramen and spicy tonkotsu ramen. They were both solid options and had a depth of flavor. I may had gone a bit too spicy with a med level. Our server started off really attentive and good, but as the meal went on he was harder to track down. Overall, it was a good experience. We enjoyed our meal and were ready for bed right after.

The ramen was really good, definitely a no brainer. Service seemed hit or miss. I went here three times in one week while attending a conference and everyone the food was consistently great. The service was hit or miss though. It was sometimes hard to track down our server, yet alone any server. This was during a time when only half the tables were occupied. They were all friendly, but I got a very nonchalant vibe from all of them. Like there was no urgency at all. I guess this could be good and bad depending on how you look at it. But we weren't there to chill all night. Drinks were all delicious with my favorite being the old fashion. Overall value was just ok. It's a little overpriced for what you get but I can see the why many would continue to visit and pay the prices. The overall ambiance of the place is cool and welcoming for date nights. I'd go back if I'm in Denver again.

We ordered way to much food but I do not regret that because I got to try so many amazing dishes. Despite ordering so many options they even brought us a chilled tofu dish complimentary (no clue why but not complaining) and it was lovely! We shared the uncle salad (amazing!), thai shrimp, eggplant buns, several different nigiri/aburi nigiri and sashimi and the toro toro and spicy tuna roll. All of the sushi was fresh and had excellent pairing of accompaniments. The only dish that I remember being a miss was the soft shell crab buns. The proportion of bun to interior was off and there was way too much mayo. Everyone got their own ramen which they seemed to love. I ordered the Veggie Khao Soi per our servers recommendation and I am still thinking about it weeks later. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.

We got a cute high top table by the window, their seating is comfortable, even the hightop chairs have backs. The drinks here are delicious, I got the lychee margarita and it was perfect, not too sweet and comes with a real lychee on a skewer, which is a lovely pairing. To eat, I got my favorite aburi tuna, which I always make sure to try if a place has them. It was so good, I love the seared flavor and the fish was so fresh, the texture was perfect. We also got the fried rice, it is served with the staff, mixing the yolk of an egg into the dish at the table in front of you. This made it so rich and delicious, and felt like a show. I was really impressed by the rice itself too, nothing simple about it. The flavors were so dynamic, and everything was cooked to perfection. We also had the black miso cod, this might have been the highlight dish. It was so tender and supple, melting at the touch of a fork and even better in your mouth. The flavors were unbelievable, and it leaves you wanting more. The area is pretty central to wash park, a quick five or 10 minute walk over to Broadway after dinner is easy and accessible too. Totally will be back

We were seated right away and given plenty of time to take in the restaurant's history and look through the menu. Our food came out quickly, and the staff was always nearby if we needed anything. We started with the cucumber salad and shrimp shumai. The cucumber salad was refreshing, but the shrimp shumai had a strong fishy smell and taste that didn't seem very fresh--I couldn't eat more than one. For my entrée, I ordered the nabeyaki soup with ramen noodles and chicken, and it was excellent. The soy-based broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty, and the ramen noodles were cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of bite. Overall, Domo offers a really special atmosphere and a memorable dining experience. I wouldn't recommend the shrimp shumai, but I'd definitely come back to try another ramen flavor, and to see the cats again.

This is my Japanese comfort restaurant…read more One of the hidden gems of Denver, Domo is a Japanese restaurant that has been around for a long time serving home-style tradional Japanese meals. You won't find fancy sushi here or fusion cooking here, but rather tasty home cooked style classic Japanese dishes. Dishes like Japanese curry, oyakodon, and other donburi and noodle dishes. Having been here multiple times, I cannot recommend this place enough for a homey style meal. No joke, each meal here makes you feel warm inside, like a good home cooked meal. It's comparable to many meals I've had traveling through out real Japan. The flavors are simple, but each dish is well prepared while emphasizing conform over fancy preparation. You just cannot go wrong with any dish here, though I'm partial to the donburi, the green tea soba, and the hot pot. And if the meal is not enough, there is a beautiful garden to enjoy. If you catch it at the right time, the cherry blossom in the spring is beautiful and transport you right to Japan. Overall, Domo is a place that I'm always down to visit. It's warm, comfy, and nostalgic, and I just know I'll miss it when it's gone.
