So we decided to get a hot bowl of ramen to clear ourselves right up. I have to admit while we have had pretty good ramen in Colorado nothing has blown us away. This place did just that. If you are looking for the most authentic bowl of ramen anywhere within a 20-30 Radius of Denver this is your spot. I got the sesame pork belly ramen bowl and my wife the chicken dashi and both were spectacular. I know this sounds like a lot of exaggerating but no notes. Seriously ZERO! You walk through a narrow corridor. The smell of fresh noodles fills the air. You enter Sera's Ramen Enclave and are greeted with a smile and a welcome. This small ramen shop is a hidden little gem in Denver. The service was great, even if our waiter was on his first day and stumbled a bit. He was attentive, eager, and happy to help with a smile on his face. The food was excellent as well, ranging from crispy gyoza and chicken karaage to various ramen dishes. The only downside was the karaage, which was slightly different than what I was used to, but it was still delicious. We left with our stomachs full, smiles on our faces, and a warm goodbye that has turned into a "see you later," as I will definitely be back. read more

Excellent service in this tiny home in the wall with no more than 10 or 12 tables. We shared a chicken ramen and the presentation was simply beautiful topped with delicate enoki mushrooms floating on the rich broth. While the soup was good, I prefer others that are less salty and with a bigger egg. This one comes with a tiny quality egg that is well done. We got 2 separate recs for this place so decided to do our last lunch in Denver here. You walk down a small alley to get to the "front" of the restaurant that leads you to a nice patio, and the indoor seating. The patio was an enjoyable setting for a tasty meal, and our server was attentive and efficient. We got the veggie gyoza to start which were fried crisp with good flavor. Had whole edamame inside in addition to the other vegetables. The dipping sauce complimented the flavors of the gyoza and was light and not too salty or sweet. We then each had a bowl of ramen. My partner had the veggie ramen with the house made chili sauce, which, was maybe some of the better chili sauce I've ever had. There was a note on the menu that it contained fish sauce, I never would have thought to put fish sauce into a sambal style chili sauce but it was SO GOOD! It was also pretty spicy, not for meek tastebuds or tummies. The ramen was also quite good I was surprised at how flavorful the fully vegetarian broth was. I had never seen a dashi broth on a ramen menu, but dashi is one of my favorite Japanese flavors (I have had many a heartbreak at New Orleans sushi restaurants who put agedashi tofu on the menu and then serve me tofu with no sauce, but I digress). So I had to get it, it was advertised as spicy and definitely has some good kick, but when I tell you I want to drink that dashi broth from a mug daily, it was finish the bowl even though you are beyond full and unsure if you'll be able to move-good. The chicken was also very flavorful and delicately cooked, I added bamboo shoots because I miss that texture when it's not in my ramen. There were 2 things that I thought could be different that would have made the ramen just a notch higher on my list. I would add seaweed, which I didn't see as listed on the menu as an option. The other thing was the consistency of the noodles, which was dense and well cooked, but not chewy enough. I don't know if that's the right descriptor but I just bit through them a little more easily than I would have liked. Still worth the visit!! read more

Genuinely hard to (physically) find this place, it's tucked away in the back of a building and you have to go down a small alley to get there but daaaaaang it's so good. We got the fried gyoza, and We each got a ramen plus a bottle of wine and it was like $75. Seriously not too pricey at all. Before you stop reading, please understand that the sesame pork belly ramen is probably the best ramen I have ever had. I almost always get a spicy ramen but this time I got the sesame pork belly and I don't think I've ever had a ramen so flavorful. The pork belly was cooked to absolute perfect and the broth was unbelievably flavorful. Please get this dish. The spicy dashi ramen is good! But nothing to write home about. It's definitely spicy and the broth is a little thin, again it's good, just not as good as the sesame pork belly. The fried gyoza were incredible. I had such a lovely experience! I went on a Wednesday around 5ish & my friend & I were sat right away. Everything we ordered was a hit. My friend & I split an order of the pork belly bao buns & I have to say.. I haven't had such a decadent bao bun in a really long time. And in the words of my friend, "this is the best ramen I've ever had." Aside from the food, what really got me was the service. I was really excited for this restaurant as I had heard rave reviews from a friend. My friend and I both got the tonkatsu ramen, my go-to ramen order and favorite broth. Unfortunately the broth was spicy, despite the fact that the menu did not identify the entree as spicy. I was extremely hungry with painfully low blood sugar at the time so unfortunately it made the most sense to force down food I did not like vs order and wait for a new entree. I'm not sure why restaurants would choose not to mark spicy dishes on the menu. I hope they will choose to update their menu accordingly so patrons can order food they actually want to eat. The other ingredients in the ramen - noodles, veggies - were amazing. The pork was so tender it basically fell apart - delicious. I really wish the broth hadn't been spicy or had been clearly marked as so so I could have chosen a different meal. read more

This place is really cute, I didn't see any options for making reservations only so thank fully the wait was not too long. We came around 7:30 on a Saturday and waited less than 10 minutes. The servers were all super friendly, they were very attentive and always letting us know that they would get us seated soon. I like the variety in the types of ramen on the menu. The flavorsome is a much lighter ramen than the sesame pork and not the type of ramen broth that I am used to but it was really good. Super meaty tasting broth. The sesame pork ramen was also good, the pork belly was very well seasoned and the flavors were balanced. The bao buns were pretty standard, the sauce was over powering but flavors were still good. Nothing crazy. I liked the ratio of broth to noodle and I like that things were not too salty! The noodles also have a very good chew. I give it a 4/5 because they only give you have an egg and the egg is not marinated at all, just a plain boiled egg. It was $17 per bowl of ramen which is on the more expensive end. read more

This place is located at the heart of highland. There's no parking lot so go for street parking around the neighborhood. The entrance of this place is actually at the back alley, and it has a cute little patio surrounded by plants. I like the idea that it's a hidden spot, but unfortunately, the food quality is just below my expectation To start, we ordered a chicken Karaage . It's great with their hot sauce. The real disappointment came with the entrées. We ordered a signature Ramen and a Korean beef rice bowl. The Ramen was neither authentic, nor delicious. The pork in it looks minced and simply stirfried to put on top of the Ramen - this is not traditional and does not add any good flavor to the noodle, which more looks like a shortcut to me. There's no umami flavor of bone broth in the soup, just tastes heavy. I prefer the traditional way of either braised pork or beef, or the Chashu pork belly. The Korean beef, rice ball came with a very small portion of beef. Again, disappointment. Service was very friendly, and when we came here on Saturday during peak lunch hour it was empty so we got served pretty fast and a small space has a charm of intimacy. Second time visiting Denver from Los Angeles and this was such a lucky find for my wife and I. The ramen game in SoCal tends to set a high-ish bar for quality so my expectations are usually low but Sera's blew those out of the water with delicate but rich broth, thick and chewy noodles, and chashu tasty enough to satisfy my nagging craving for Japanese quality protein. The service was simple and polite with a genuine aura which should be the normal in my opinion. The interior is small with splashes of art here and there but it's not my favorite. The Nezuko curtain is a plus though! We took an Uber but the parking didn't seem terrible and is mainly street with a small plaza across so I don't see a probably outside of peak evening hours. Overall if you love ramen you NEED to come here! The fusion with Vietnamese flavors is the cherry on top. I recommend the Saigon curry and my wife loved the Sesame Porkbelly. I've loved every dish I've tried and finally had a chance to dine indoors, though the outdoor patio is adorable too. I ordered the Sesame Pork Belly Ramen, it was a savory park broth infused with sesame oil. Honestly it was so good you have to go and try it yourself! My daughter and I went to try this out and we looked up the time it opened and it said 11:00 am. We arrived at 11:32 and it was not open. We were about to eat somewhere else when the open light turned on. Even then, we still waited a few minutes after the light turned on for them to unlock the side gate. The only reason I came was because the menu said they have a vegan ramen. When I go to order they said the noodles are not vegan and asked if we wanted the glass noodles. (Noted only as gluten free on the menu) So we ordered those, no notice they were an additional $4. I would assume a ramen advertised as vegan would include noodles that are vegan. Plus, the broth was basic. Not very flavorful. I would rather support local, but Jinya has better noodles and vegan broth flavors. The bao buns were delicious though. The store is cute, but the service could be better. No welcome, they didn't ask us if we wanted to sit inside or outside but they sure asked the party after us. Did have slices of pineapple which surprisingly added a nice level of sweetness. I did end up adding some truffle hot sauce from the Truff brand and it really elevated the dish. I swear I've had their ramen before but I don't have a review so maybe it was for takeout? Either way, the Pork Belly Ramen and the Chicken Karaage really hit the spot on this more normal Denver weather day. My husband and I were both getting hungry so we decided to share the Chicken Karaage (Japanese fried chicken). We've had it a few places now and it's really become a fav of ours. It was perfectly crispy and I loved the spicy Mayo sauce. The sesame pork belly ramen was fantastic. A nice slightly oily broth with a bit of heat, slightly nutty flavored pork thanks to the sesame marinade, and fresh toppings. The staff was super attentive and very polite. Where else can you get oxtail ramen and a mountain berry spritzer? Being a lover of oxtail and ramen separately, why not try the combo. My sister and BIL took me here for my birthday lunch. Small place when the patio isn't open but it wasn't crowded when we went on a Saturday afternoon. All 3 of us ordered the oxtail ramen that day. The oxtail comes shredded off the bone. I appreciated the curly noodles which I think holds the broth a bit better than straight noodles. The portions weren't huge but still generous and we left with our bellies warm and full. What a hidden treasure. Literally. You have to walk in between two buildings off of 32nd Street to the back. But worth it, and FIND it. Quaint interior, but service was on point and we had a great experience. We started with the lettuce wraps with salmon and we were so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of them. But, I had the Spicy Dashi ramen, and it was fantastic. I was sad when I had finished it. I will come back and flip a coin between that and the great marketing read of the fried rice. Wife got the sesame pork belly ramen and loved it, and I found out that she used to come here on her own before I became a ramen fan! No iced tea for me, but they had LOTS of hot tea options...very unique flavors. They have the classic Coke bottle though. Great background music that I Shazammed a few times. It's fun to enter through the back door like you're friends with Sera or like an unexpected AirBnb. We arrived with only a few people sitting down but waited a smidge since there were only a couple of servers. This gave us enough time to perfect what we would be ordering, sneaking peaks through the fenestrations to spy on the dishes. Up first, the drinks. We ordered the mango and the berry glacier. Wow, they were both fruity and delicious - a bit on the sweeter side. 5/5. Next the fried chicken arrived. Yum, a hearty fried chicken dish delicately drizzled with an intricate sauce. 5/5. Up next was the main attraction, ramen. We got the flavorful ramen, I guess they forgot about the name when making it or is it like the Iceland/Greenland naming strategy. It was okay at best, we ordered the chili paste to give it a try and the only way to get the ramen to make me feel anything was adding a good portion of that. 2/5. The 3rd and final thing we got was the beef bowl. It was a basic bowl with beef and lots of rice. Good but could have gotten something for over half at HMart. 3/5. Great and friendly staff. I usually avoid going to ramen restaurants in the US. They tend to be overpriced and overly salty. But my girlfriend really wanted to get ramen for lunch and I begrudgingly agreed to come here. And I was blown away. This is hands down the best ramen I've had outside of Japan. The broths were decadent but light at the same time and the noodles were the perfect, chewy texture you want in a solid bowl of ramen. The gyoza were also full of flavor and a great appetizer. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I've been coming here for about 5 years now and it's because it really doesn't disappoint. The menu is fairly small but honestly I find it perfect because I eat the same thing every time basically since it's just too good and I can't move on to anything else. The waiters and cooks are very nice, the waitress May knows me even though I wouldn't come back for months due to school workloads but honestly I don't really go to other ramen places because this one is just too good. The location is fairly small but it's so home like and cozy. The walls are covered in anime scenes and it's very cute. I love that the entrance is in a literal alleyway because it always throws off new guests but it's cool, makes it a little weird (not derogatory). As per usual, my recommended dishes that I've tried and will forever get is the sesame pork belly ramen (to die for!), the pork belly bao buns (also to die for, these are literally unmatched! They're a nice mixture of sweet and salty but then the toppings make it slightly fresh and it's so yummy definitely try these), the chicken karaage, the iced matcha latte (soo good, never grassy not too sweet, just right) and the last menu item I've tried is the spring rolls which were good too. We got the sesame pork belly ramen and the flavorsome ramen. The noodles were cooked perfectly and had the bounce you want when eating ramen. The Pork Belly ramen was creamy like how a tonkotsu should be however there was some sweetness to it that threw it off. For us, it didn't have that same pull to a second taste of the broth like others we have had. The char siu was awesome in flavor The Flavorsome Ramen was somewhat disappointing. It was caught between a beef broth that could be pho but missing the typical pho flavors. The shredded oxtail was the best part of this dish. We have had way way more disappointing ramen in the Denver metro area. This place is a good stop for lunch if you are craving ramen. read more

Loved this cute little ramen restaurant. It is literally hole in the wall. We started with Karaage. I really enjoyed the it as it was different, it was a different breading more light and crisp. And very flavorful. I ordered the roasted garlic fried rice and my boyfriend ordered the sesame pork ramen. The fried rice was not what I expected at all. Lots of ingredients on top. I didn't really taste the garlic but instead tasted curry. I also loved the mini egg omelette added. A little to salty for me personally. I loved the sesame ramen the broth was sooo flavorful.
