The sushi is delicious. My favorite was the lohi roll. The service is great and the ambiance is lively.

Beautiful ambiance, great service and excellent quality fish. The chicken rice bowl was tasty, as was the eel avocado roll. The sashimi brunch special was my favorite, 8 pieces of beautiful tender fish. So good. The covered wrap around patio made for a wonderful lunch!

Go to sushi spot in Denver. They have a great ambiance, often times a DJ! We love it here.

A beautiful restaurant and great place to go if you're celebrating a birthday. I HIGHLY recommend getting a reservation because this place is really popular! (for good reason) Like I said, the restaurant is beautiful. You'll want to dress decent -- the patrons here dressed chic and trendy. It's warm inside so you'll be protected from the elements and your outfit will be saved lol. The food here was really good! I had the miso soup, my boyfriend had the tonkotsu ramen and we shared the Sea Monster Roll. Miso soup -- 10/10. Miso soup is already a comforting soup but what I particularly liked about Mizu Izakaya's miso soup is that they add mushrooms! It added a nice depth. Sea Monster Roll -- 10/10. Very fresh fish and overall a good roll. I'm from Los Angeles so I'm spoiled with good sushi at my every turn. This spot rivals some of the best sushi I've had in my hometown. Birthday cake -- 15/10. So fun, festive and really makes the honoree feel special! When my bf slipped away to the bathroom, I asked our waitress if they do anything for birthdays and requested a celebration for my sweetheart. At the end of our meal, the waitress brough out a slice of cheesecake with berries and a fun sparkler! It was great. My s/o was floored and had a huge smile on his face :') Plus, the cheesecake was just really, really good!!

This place was fantastic! The location is amazing, right in lo-hi, the ambiance was impeccable, our food was delicious and our service was super fast! They even had an awesome happy hour menu with food and awesome drinks. We ate inside but it looks like for nicer weather they had a patio too.

Wow, some of the freshest sushi I have had in a LONG time. My husband and I always say a tuna roll is a tuna roll but this tuna avocado roll we had was on par with the sushi we used to have on the east coast. The service was also amazing, I wish they would bring all the food out at the same time but other than that, no hiccups. The ambiance is good, we went on a Friday night, got there at 6 and by 7:15-7:30 it got exponentially louder. Tough to hear the people at our table once the DJ showed up, but none the less it was fun!

We came here to get food for takeout. The service was great and they got us waters while we waited for food. The food came out rapidly and it was still hot by the time we got home. The hamachi Kama (yellow tail collar) was a lot of fish! They gave us two huge pieces of fish on a bed of spring greens with many slices of lemon. The spicy ponzu was way too spicy and i have pretty good spice tolerance already. The large chunks of fish were very juicy and delicious. There wasn't even that many bones. I liked the furikake fries but they ended up being pretty soggy. The spicy mayo with the chicken Karaage was very good though. Would be back again- great food!!

First time here and the waitress were so welcoming , kind and patient!!! The environment and atmosphere was so calm and relaxing, definitely a place to celebrate a birthday or so. THE FOOODD WAS SOMETHING ELSE most definitely something you don't just taste at any restaurant

Everything you expect from a trendy sushi joint. Good attentive service, wonderful apathetic interiors and top notch food. It was our first (but not last) visit to Mizu. Great selection of specialty rolls. The family fav seemed to be the Monster Roll. But everything was 5 star. We were shocked at the size of the sushi order when it came out but in no time we cleaned up. Can't wait to go back.

The fried rice WITH NO FLAVOR OR SEASONING

The worst dining experience I've had coming from someone who often eats out. When walking into the place seemed more like a club than a restaurant. When you look online the place looks like a chill spot for sushi, but when we walked in the music was blasting, people were yelling, nearly everyone was drunk, and the environment was not what we expected. Then our sever comes she starts with the basic introduction and ask us if we wanted drinks. When we said no drinks (as in alcohol) her mood changed and she looked irritated??? Because we only wanted sushi from a sushi restaurant??? But that's beyond me. We ended up ordering 4 sushi rolls and a plate of fried rice. When the fried rice came we were all absolutely appalled at the sight. Looked like they scooped plain rice and threw on a bit of soy sauce, then the chicken my god. Didn't even try to season the poor thing; it was just straight boiled chicken that was drier than the Sahara desert. All while this was happening we were still receiving horrible service from our server. The sushi comes last, and this is why the review has two stars and not one. The sushi was pleasant, however, one of the rolls we got was super bad. The rest were pretty good though. We finish up and our server never checked in once, seemed like she was trying to ignore us and treating us like some poor beggars. As a server myself, I know how busy it can get and I wasn't expecting a whole concert or anything but dang for me to notice how terrible the service is means it's really bad. All I want when eating is maybe a refill on water (the cups are tiny and we didn't get refilled once) and a smile here and there. Yet, the bare minimum was still too much for this girl. We cleaned up our table (stacking plates and wiping down what we could) making it clear we were done eating because we all wanted to leave after that NASTY fried rice and overstimulating experience. We waited nearly 10 minutes for the check and just waved the girl over at some point. Then she took 10 more minutes to check us out. I don't know why because she was not busy? She was literally walking beside our table and ignoring anything to do with us. At the end she checked us out and told us have a good night with a straight face, it actually looked like it hurt her to say it. Though the entire night we were all being nice and respectful, and if we wanted to be disrespectful she didn't even give us the chance to because, again, she barely talked to us. In conclusion this was not the ideal spot for sushi. There are smaller restaurants around town that will probably leave you satisfied. If you want to go anyways, DO NOT GET THE FRIED RICE. For me to leave a review means something is seriously wrong with the place. DO NOT GET THE FRIED RICE.

First time here, the ambiance is great. Crowded and lively on a week day. But the food wasnt mind blowing. I am unsure of what their specialty is, everything is kind of a hit or miss depending on your palate.

We went here for a meal before a rave, as we got connected to the owners who are familiar with these events, which is reflective of the general vibe of the place and how they play a lot of EDM. Usually it is recommended that we make a reservation beforehand, but we were able to walk in without a wait when we showed up for NYE right at opening. We mostly tried sushi rolls (specialty rolls) as well as some nigiri and sashimi (mostly salmon and hamachi). Prices are pretty high, but the seafood was decently fresh despite Denver being a landlocked city. If you order multiple rolls, they arrange the rolls neatly in a large plate/board for a nice presentation. I particularly liked the Mizu roll as it had salmon but you can't really go wrong with any rolls here. However, portions are pretty small so you would end up spending $50+ a person if you want a decently filling dinner here. Rolls cost $16-26 here with a fancy roll at $45, which is very pricy for the city. Service is good as water refills were available throughout the meal. Overall, pretty solid spot, despite the geography that does not favor fresh seafood.

Uncle makes me want to move to Denver! To start the ambiance is really chill and inviting with warm lighting and offers countertop as well as table seating. Our server was amazing and explained the menu well and made some recommendations that did not disappoint. We ordered way to much food but I do not regret that because I got to try so many amazing dishes. Despite ordering so many options they even brought us a chilled tofu dish complimentary (no clue why but not complaining) and it was lovely! We shared the uncle salad (amazing!), thai shrimp, eggplant buns, several different nigiri/aburi nigiri and sashimi and the toro toro and spicy tuna roll. All of the sushi was fresh and had excellent pairing of accompaniments. The only dish that I remember being a miss was the soft shell crab buns. The proportion of bun to interior was off and there was way too much mayo. Everyone got their own ramen which they seemed to love. I ordered the Veggie Khao Soi per our servers recommendation and I am still thinking about it weeks later. It was a curry/ramen mix and had big chunks of trumpet mushrooms in it and the perfect amount of spice that I love. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.

Having been here multiple times, I cannot recommend this place enough for a homey style meal. No joke, each meal here makes you feel warm inside, like a good home cooked meal. It's comparable to many meals I've had traveling through out real Japan. The flavors are simple, but each dish is well prepared while emphasizing conform over fancy preparation. You just cannot go wrong with any dish here, though I'm partial to the donburi, the green tea soba, and the hot pot. And if the meal is not enough, there is a beautiful garden to enjoy.
