I have been here a few times now and have enjoyed the food (loved the steak skewers) and cocktails. They even have cider which Ryan especially enjoys. The service is excellent and the space is unique and fun ...and we love going to the comedy shows or burlesque shows etc here. We always have so much fun and everything , events included, are reasonably priced as well. We love coming as a couple or bringing friends with us too! Highly recommend Colorado Sake Company !

This was a nice shift from all the breweries. We tried a few different sake and apps but the standout was the grilled eggplant. The portions are small though so I'd recommend this as a starting place and then drinking/eating your way down the block.

Nitamago - molten eggs. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food, sake, and service. I stopped in on a whim, on my quest to walk around Denver and randomly try new places. This was a real win! I got a half flight with four pours, and enjoyed all. And the food! Was there for a happy hour and got a couple small plates. The eggs were fantastic - the kind of dish that reminds you to actually wait it slowly and appreciate how the different flavors and textures are working together. Pork human was also delicious. Service was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. I will be back, and may join their sake club. 5/5.

Searched for sushi close to my hotel, and came across this place. Easily made a reservation online and walked into a quaint, beautiful space with great service and amazing food. I sat at the bar, and the server was extremely helpful in assisting me with sake selections for my flight. The pork buns and spicy salmon sushi were very fresh and just right for me. Worth a visit!

Had a great dinner here with my husband. We had never been before, and are so happy we found it! They have an awesome vibe, great service (even with only a few staff on duty), and amazingly fresh fish! They also have comedy, burlesque, and drag shows on different nights of the week. Excited to do more date nights here!

I had been eager to try this place! The decor is very cute inside (ceiling, walls, etc.). The service is great, quick and helpful with recommendations. The menu has something for everyone, including those of us who don't even eat fish! I had the fried tofu roll, which was excellent, and the cucumber and avocado roll, which was also good. We also split a serving of edamame dumplings, which were veryyyy good. We ordered a flight of sake to share, and that was fun! This restaurant hosts events like yoga, comedy, even jazz with dogs! What a fun local spot. The only thing that would make it better is if it had a nicer outdoor seating area on the patio (it's small and has plastic drapes) or a rooftop eating area. Anyway, highly recommend!

This is a standout amongst the dozens of local beer breweries, serving unique craft sakes with rotating seasonal brews. The restaurant staff were delightful to us during our visit and the service was quick. There is a comedy club in the rear of the restaurant that puts on performances on the weekends.

I saw this place had some of the highest reviews so I had to come check it out for myself. The decorations inside were beautiful, and I thought it was so cool how they have a space in the back for events like variety shows and yoga. Our sever was very friendly and personable. I'm not sure if I was more looking forward to the food or the sake, but they both ended up being quite pleasant. My favorite dish was the baja shrimp bao, and my favorite drinks were probably the #6006 which had a nice subtle fruity notes, and the Bees Knees which is deliciously honey and lavender-infused. I definitely would come back next time I'm in Denver.

Fontana Sushi, Alameda location, Denver, offering freshly cut bluefin tuna insanely fresh and out-of-this universe crazy delish must-have freshest fish for all sushi aficionados. Golden Mussels and fresh Roe sampler rounded out a spectacular meal with truly personalized service at 5pm on a Friday evening. Beautiful atmosphere with a generous and sparkling saltwater tank featuring clownfish on display. More than just sushi, Fontana is a classy, enjoyable and seamless dining experience.

Overall a great experience! The food was delicious and the infused sake was full of unique flavors. I wasn't a huge fan of the tuna, felt it was a little overcooked for my taste but the yellowtail was incredible. We also got a couple rolls which were pretty good. Service was nice and the vibes were great. I'm curious to explore other sushi in Denver as well

Colorado Sake Co is truly a gem somewhat hidden and unknown in Denver. Although it may be unassuming from the outside, once inside, it is clear that a lot of thought was put into the layout and decorations. There is the room that is seen once entering the restaurant but there is also a back room. I'm not sure if the back room is used for private events only or also for extra seating but it looked cool and moody back in there. The food is decently priced for small dishes and tastes pretty great. However, if you have quite a large stomach like I do, it may be a good idea to either head there with a snack prior or expect to eat something else afterwards or you'll likely end up with a hefty bill. Now for the sake! They have a wide range of different kinds of sake from sweet to dry to different kind of infusions that are harder to find elsewhere. We tried all three and I enjoyed them all. They definitely know what they are doing regarding their sake. I highly recommend heading to Colorado Sake Co for a small plate or two and to enjoy sake with good company!

The hostess girl was super helpful and welcoming and the server Alix was incredible! And the food was top tier! 10/10 would absolutely recommend and the seating was one of a kind! You could see and hear all walks of life like, the ambience was incredible.

We thought we made a mistake choosing sushi bar instead of a table because we'll have back issues. Surprisingly, the chairs had a mini back so you could lean back occasionally. And we think our experience was better because the sushi chefs would explain the origin of the fish and all the ingredients they used into each roll and order. We also got a complimentary piece for sitting at the sushi bar which was a light fried yellow tail which was so good. Service is amazing. They're attentive and check in on you often. It does take some time to get your rolls but give its time to digest. From watching the sushi chefs at the bar, they're very precise in how they make each roll. Every roll has similar proportions from the slight wasabi they use to the amount of rice and fish. Everything that we had was amazing. The hamachi and salmon sashimi felt like butter. It just melts in your mouth. The aged toro was so delicious. Even the edamame was just so good. The unagi nigiri is some of the best I've had in the state (the nigri was better than the handroll and I think it's because I love unagi so I love the ratio in nigiri form). The Spicy Tuna Oshizushi was a surprising favorite of the night along with the Crème Fresh Salmon Belly. I could've done without the wagyu but it was good. Every order does come with only 1 so order based on the amount of people that are with your party. Some items we were unsure of like the wagyu so we ordered 1 and shared a bite. Overall, I understand the hype and the reservations. But it was worth it and I'm surprised we can get high quality fish in a landlock state. Of the high end sushi restaurants in CO, Temaki Den is probably my fave.

Uchi is dangerous for people like me…read more Not because of the raw fish. Because the place understands seduction. I've been eating at Uchi since it opened in Denver and today it still carries that same intoxicating balance of precision, warmth, swagger, and restraint. The room itself glows instead of shouts. Wood slats divide the dining room into little private theaters while the sushi counter hums with focused choreography. Expert hands moving constantly. Rice. Fish. Quiet communication. Tiny acts of discipline repeated hundreds of times a night. I sat down intending to have a civilized happy hour. That plan lasted maybe twelve minutes. The kurodai crudo arrived first. Gooseberry, leche de tigre, candied garlic. Bright, sharp, and alive. This is the kind of starter that wakes up your entire palate and you are reminded that you will absolutely be spending more money than originally intended. Next was the bincho temaki: cool albacore, kimchi, avocado, and a vividly garish orange sauce with some heat to keep the richness from becoming too much. Uchi understands something many restaurants don't: luxuriousness needs balance. Fatty fish without acid, spice, crunch, or brightness is palate exhaustion. And then one after another the deliciousness continued: the oysters were cold and perfect with cucumber, calamansi vinegar, and umeboshi. The day boat scallop nigiri nearly stopped time altogether. Just sweet scallops, rice, citrus, a little finishing salt. Incréable. Or whatever the French word is for "I briefly forgot my own name." And somewhere during martini number one, the staff adopted me. Apparently Uchi keeps notes on guests. Mine, I was told, says I'm "nice and a good eater," which may be the most flattering thing anyone has said to me in months. Suddenly more dishes started appearing. Gifted nigiri. Ikura glowing like little amber jewels (my favorite). A ridiculous and completely delicious carrot toro maki with green chili crunch and enough heat underneath the richness to make the whole thing flirt openly with your mouth. At one point the bartenders literally invented a "walu walu shot" on the fly just because the mood had drifted into improvisational chaos. This was somewhere between oyster shooter, seafood dare, and excellent bad decisions. Meanwhile, the guests next to me started talking to me and the entire energy of the evening shifted into communal sushi-bar joy. Suddenly we were all reacting to dishes, laughing, comparing bites, participating in the same ecosystem of salt, fish, alcohol, and temporary human connection. This is the real thing Uchi sells. Not merely sushi. Attention. Rhythm. Atmosphere. Memory. The feeling of being folded into a beautifully functioning machine dedicated entirely to pleasure. And yes, by the end I was emotional enough to remember being 20 years old eating sushi with an older woman named Alana who wore real fur and introduced me to this whole sensual adult world in the first place. That is what a martini and exceptional nigiri will do to a man. The final bill before tip was somehow only $141, which honestly feels mathematically impossible considering I briefly entered a spiritual relationship with the sushi counter. I tipped $50 because at that point we were basically family. Uchi remains one of the sexiest restaurants in Denver. Not performatively sexy. Not influencer sexy. Actually sexy. Confident. Observant. Generous. Precise. And just dangerous enough to make you order one more thing. Amazing dining experience.
