Solid sushi at Nozomi! It is a busy spot - we showed up on a Friday around 5pm without reservations but were seated immediately. By the time we left, it was super busy inside. There is a large sushi menu with nigiri, sashimi, and rolls. There are also some hot kitchen items. The nigiri are large with generous portions of rice and fish, ratio is excellent but the fish is on the larger side. The star of the meal was the wagyu nigiri - my husband got the tuna wagyu and I got the salmon wagyu. It is absolutely melt in your mouth - no teeth necessary. My husband said it was one of the best bites in the city (gasp). We started with the tuna crudo which was great quality and each piece was a decent thickness. However, there was a mango sauce to it that made the dish sweet. I don't normally enjoy sweet crudo dishes so this was a little off putting. However, that aside, it was a good dish. There were orange slivers under the fish that added to the sweetness but oh well, they were refreshing slices. Excellent sushi here, can't go wrong if you have a sushi craving and go here!
Really great sushi with such a fun variety of choice. We went really crazy with what we ordered and although pricey, we got our money's worth. I won't be able to list all of the rolls and fish we chose, but I can pretty confidently say that you can't go wrong. All of our rolls were loaded with fish and balanced toppings - not too much rice. Service was friendly, quick, and they left us to our feasting. The space can be a little tight, but it adds to the ambiance. We will definitely be back!
Our party of six adults and two children arrived just after opening at 4:30 p.m., and our reservation for eight was ready to go. Waters and menus, including the happy hour menu, appeared shortly after we were seated. We didn't order everything on the menu, but by the end of the meal it certainly felt like we had! As the food started arriving, the restaurant quickly filled up. By 5 p.m., there was already a line at the door, and soon after, out the door. After sampling most of the dishes we ordered, the reasons seemed obvious. The food was nicely executed, very tasty, and quite reasonably priced, especially the happy hour offerings. Standouts included the Rainbow Roll, Red Dragon Roll, Gyoza, Salmon Sashimi, Chicken Yaki Soba, and cucumber salad. That said, we ended up enjoying just about everything that came to the table, and we'd happily reorder all of it again. Service was friendly and efficient despite the rapidly growing crowd, and dishes arrived at a steady pace throughout the meal. For a party this size, the kitchen handled timing impressively well. I would recommend making reservations ahead of time, it does get busy in the evenings! Started off with some Miso Soup (ask for some spicy seasoning/togarashi) and the Crispy Spicy Tuna (the rice was indeed crunchy and the Tuna mix had a nice little kick to it, MUST GET***). For our mains, we ordered an assortment of Nigiris (Sake Toro, Whole Scallops/Hotate, Bluefin Toro - MELT IN YOUR MOUTH, Hamachi, all were dressed really well and the size of each fish was generous). Also ordered 2 Tuna Handrolls, the Black Dragon Roll and Den Roll (this one was only okay). Servers were attentive. Seating - Can seat a good amount of people indoors Restrooms - Single Stalls/Clean Parking - Street Parking
Sunday afternoon (12:01pm) called ahead for a to go order. I super wanted to try the Crispy Spicy Tuna (5 pieces) - but found out it is only offered as an appetizer. I pivoted and got the Dynamote Roll. Excellent!! Restaurant is nicely decorated. Clean lines, modern look. Great service!

That would've saved us time considering we still waiting about 20-30 minutes after arriving (despite being told it would only be 10 mins). Nonetheless, the food made up for it. Everything we got was excellent and presented beautifully! The highlights were the Crispy Spicy Tuna, Volcano Roll, and Crazy Tuna Roll but again, everything we ordered was good and I would order again. It came presented in a beautiful sushi boat which I loved! Shout out to them for taking the presentation as seriously as the flavors. Amazing dinner spot!
This is situated in the cutest area. We were greeted kindly upon entering. The miso soup was perfectly salty and a great starter! The seaweed salad portion is incredibly generous and packs a lot of flavor. The shrimp tempura with veggies was very filling. The spicy tuna crispy rice was my favorite bite and dare I say beats any other restaurants in Denver. We got two rolls, the tejon roll and the volcano roll. The volcano roll was my favorite of the two! The flavors were amazing. The service was great, they are very friendly! Fresh flowers in the bathroom was a nice touch. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
Why have I been sleeping on this place for the last two years? Hot damn, the Nozomi team is slinging high quality soosh!! Made the mistake of not making a reservation, definitely do so on a weekend! Best part is you can make the rezy right on their Yelp page. The restaurant was absolutely slammed without an empty seat. Which I'm not going to lie, was incredible to see during these tough times for restaurants; especially in winter. We waited 15 minutes and scored a table. No harm, no foul. My favorite items to order when I go out for sushi is nigiri. I find the combination of raw fish on top of rice to be the pinnacle of seeing how great the fish is on its own, while still getting the bite of rice we all want. The nigiri I had was outstanding. 10/10 wouldn't change a thing. Fresh, buttery, and melted in my mouth. Mmmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! We split various rolls and these were great, too. I'd say 4 stars compared to the nigiri. However, they were nicely presented and rolled appropriately where the components didn't fall out while eating. I have to order seaweed salad to start and this portion was hulk-sized! I thought the price was a little high initially, but now I see why. Can easily split between two people! This hidden gem needs to be on your sushi radar for a date night or large group together. Prices aren't exorbitant, table service was quick, and the quality of sushi was excellent. I hope you stay busy, Nozomi!
Wow, this place was poppin'! I stopped by on a Saturday without a reservation and got super lucky snagging a spot at the bar, definitely recommend making reservations on weekends. The sushi was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout the night. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date or intimate one-on-one conversation. It's a smaller space, so probably not ideal for large groups, but that's part of its charm, it feels personal and lively without being overcrowded. Free two hour parking around this cute neighborhood!
This is an amazing sushi restaurant. The food is extremely fresh. The food here is a little pricey. Every single roll we had was extremely great. The wine and saki menu is very good. Service was terrible. We had to flag the waiter down to order, ask for more, the check, and to pay. I would have given this place a 5 if service wasn't so bad. It took us a little over 45 mins to place our order and another 45- 1 hour to get the food.
Celebrated my birthday at Nozomi! It was my first time at this place but it became my new favorite for omakase in Denver. Fish was super fresh and every piece was served like a piece of art. I loved their black cod, it was incredible! My husband's favorite was the Hokkaido scallop. The service was very good, friendly and fast! The place is small and cozy which makes for private experience! I highly recommend this place, it's a true gem!
FAVORITE SUSHI SPOT IN DENVER. This place has the best highest quality / most loaded signature rolls in all of Denver. It is absolutely my favorite. I love that it has a local feel to it, and you can usually walk in to eat. 12/10 would recommend. Ambiance is also super cute!
This is some of the best sushi for the best price that I have found in Denver. It's a neighborhood hotspot and can easily fill up at dinner time on any day of the week. We tried a bunch of different Nigiri's, including the scallop, eel, seared salmon, bluefin toro. and more. They were all so fresh and delicious. I ordered the Shishito peppers as well, so good! Didn't need a little more sauce as they only drizzle it on the top peppers and once you get past that you need more. We also tried two rolls, the crazy tuna, and the Godzilla. Both delicious!! The staff tag teams to get things done, which is helpful in such a busy environment as you feel comfortable, asking any passing server for a refill, sauce, etc. Can't wait to come back. read more
Good food, good service and clean restaurant. The happy hour menu had a lot of selections and the sushi was nicely done with filling to rice ratios, especially the temaki. The karaage was yum and so was the age tofu. Not to be mixed up with agedashi tofu - as there is no soup, just fried tofu. I wish the tofu was fried more crispy - would be awesome if it was double fried - some outside parts of the tofu were soft and not crispy. The crab salad, seaweed salad and the cucumbers salad were all very refreshing. There was some service mix up where we had to asked for our food order - I don't think it was the waiters, but maybe the communication from the ordering system to the kitchen, and also the beers we ordered didn't come until we had asked for it towards the end of our meal. All in all the food and most of the experience were decent - we shall be back again! read more
We went to Nozomi during happy hours. I am impress with cozy, modern atmosphere. Well trained waiter & most importantly very delicious sushi that is not break your bank. I highly recommended Agedashi tofu, Spicy Yellowtail hand roll, Amae shrimp, and Alaskan maki. It is fresh, tasty & artsy decorated. Might need reservation during peak hours bc it is on cozy size restaurant. We would go back again for sure :) read more

We were here on a busy Saturday night. Definitely recommend a reservation. After we got seated we were quickly brought water. Once we placed our order we got our sushi faster than I ever have any where before. Sushi was fresh, accurate and delicious. It is a chaotic spot to dine, very busy and loud but overall would return. read more
My sister has been telling me about this sushi spot and I finally got the chance to try it! We came with a large group of about 9 of us and had a reservation. The restaurant was packed! I just let my sister's boyfriend order for the group but everything was really good. The standouts were definitely the toro, sashimi appetizers, and the seared salmon. They all tasted really fresh and buttery. The service was top notch and they were super attentive despite how busy the restaurant was. Would definitely come back here for sushi if I'm ever in the area. read more

listen to me when i tell you this: nozomi HH hand rolls are the BEST bang for your buck you will ever get in colorado. salmon is always my favorite- it has a HUGE piece of soft salmon that is super high quality. i also love their spicy salmon! you can never go wrong with spicy edamame or any of their other rolls, but the hand rolls are the star for me for sure. service is so speedy! the servers are always very kind and attentive. it's a tiny restaurant but very intimate for a cute date night! overall, 5 stars for nozomi!!! read more
I feel like good, quality sushi is hard to find! But Nozomi is one of the great ones! Everything we ordered tasted so fresh and delicious! The service was a little slow, but it was a busy night. But it was nice to not feel rushed. Overall, it was so good and I will definitely go back! read more

We enjoy coming to Nozomi Sushi, the food is good and the weekend happy hour is a nice perk. That said, we were surprised (and a bit disappointed) to be charged $1 for a tiny squirt of sriracha. The place could also use a deep clean, as the tables and floors weren't very tidy during our visit. With a little more attention to detail, this could easily be a great spot. 3.5 stars. read more

We've been to Ototo, Sushi Den, and Temaki Den, and while this spot might not be as fancy as those, it's truly a hidden gem. It has officially joined our top sushi list! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the sushi was absolutely phenomenal. We didn't take too many photos because we were so busy scarfing it down--it was just that delicious. If you're looking for amazing sushi in a cozy, unpretentious setting, this is the place to go. Highly recommend! read more
My husband and I went to Nozomi on a Sunday night. It was a lovely evening with delicious food and fast service! Street parking was easy, and we were greeted when we walked in. We had a reservation, but it wasn't needed for a Sunday night. We were in a bit of a rush, but our server was on top of it and very kind! The ambiance was very nice with muted lighting. Tables are a little close together but nothing too bad. There were four sushi chefs working which helped us get our food quickly. We had the Crab Cheese Wontons, Salmon Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Rainbow Roll, and Sweet Potato Roll. All were great and very fresh! Prices weren't crazy. My only complaint is that the Diet Coke doesn't have free refills and comes in a plastic bottle. ;) read more

Two people recommended Nozomi to me. I was finally able to stop in for few pieces and rolls. I can't believe it took me so long to stop in. The nigiri was amazing especially the salmon belly. It was melt in your mouth soft. I highly recommend the crazy tuna roll, full of flavor. Prices are average but, the quality is some of the best I have had in Denver. read more

I know this review will go against most opinions from recent visits but there were several things that played out during our meal that just weren't up to standard to get higher than 2 stars. We ordered water and drinks right away which came out quickly but then we were constantly being hovered over while we all made our dinner choices. Mind you, one person was in the bathroom at first and then they also only gave us 1 menu for our entire table to share so that kinda makes it impossible to make timely choices. It was noticeable on how many times our server came by waiting and that is just rude. We ordered the Snow Break, Godzilla and Dynamite rolls along with miso soup, seaweed salad and a snow crab wagyu piece. They could have taken the appetizer menu from us if they were in such a hurry. Miso soup was standard, the seaweed salad for $7.50 was a large proportion so good on that and the snow crab wagyu was good and also a good size for the $7.00. The snow break was by far the best roll out of our three rolls, the Godzilla was also good but when paying for the highest priced item you pretty much expect it to be the best tasting too. Then there was the Dynamite, it was large in size however that was only because there almost 1/2 inch of rice rolled around everything and when biting into it, it was nothing but mush and you taste any of the other ingredients listed for the roll. We eat a lot of sushi and for Ben to not like his roll enough to finish it says a lot. My MIL took a bite and just shook her head in dislike so I wasn't even going to try it but he asked me as well for a clear opinion. I cut off most of the rice so I could try to taste the fish in the middle, and it was so bland. I could not taste any of the ingredients. I tried to get it down but I ended up taking my napkin and disposing of my bite in there. I couldn't do it. We were asked if we wanted boxes as soon as it appeared we were done eating, which would be fine but we were still finishing our drinks. As soon as the boxes came out, the hovering around our table started again. And again. To add to the bad service for basically harassing us, we asked them to lower one of the window blinds because the sun was right in two of our eyes and the table behind us and we're told, "I have to ask my coworker" and never heard a word back from anyone. It wasn't pleasant to have to hold a hand up in front of your eyes while trying to talk during dinner but sure... why not? More hovering continued once we signed check to the point where the server came over while we were still there, took the receipt booklet and opened it right in front of us to see what her tip was. That is so rude. Ben did not take too kindly to that. So unfortunately, we will not return and certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Good thing there are plenty of sushi options. read more

We went last night for a friend's birthday. The staff was very nice and friendly. The sushi missed the mark for me. We ordered a lot of things, crab cheese wontons, miso soup, shishito peppers, edamame, nigiri, sashimi and lots of sushi. The crab cheese wontons were really good! I appreciated that they were a bit softer so I didn't hurt the inside of my mouth like you normally do when the wonton is super crispy. My husband and I got the unagi nigiri and omg it was so good!!! It was huge, flavorful and amazing!! We also had the black dragon roll, the Philly roll and the yellowtail. The Philly was fine. The yellowtail and black dragon were disappointing. The yellowtail just had absolutely no flavor and the fish felt weird. The black dragon - it had shrimp tempura inside it - but the shell was still on the shrimp. So as we were eating different bites of the roll - we were getting crunchy shell chunks and that really just turned us off the roll.. overall the sushi was good. Not great, just fine read more
