We got to Nozomi around 6:30pm on a Saturday and they were busy! We tried to join the Yelp Waitlist beforehand but kept getting an error message. That would've saved us time considering we still waiting about 20-30 minutes after arriving (despite being told it would only be 10 mins). Nonetheless, the food made up for it. Everything we got was excellent and presented beautifully! The highlights were the Crispy Spicy Tuna, Volcano Roll, and Crazy Tuna Roll but again, everything we ordered was good and I would order again. It came presented in a beautiful sushi boat which I loved! Shout out to them for taking the presentation as seriously as the flavors. Amazing dinner spot!

This is situated in the cutest area. We were greeted kindly upon entering. The miso soup was perfectly salty and a great starter! The seaweed salad portion is incredibly generous and packs a lot of flavor. The shrimp tempura with veggies was very filling. The spicy tuna crispy rice was my favorite bite and dare I say beats any other restaurants in Denver. We got two rolls, the tejon roll and the volcano roll. The volcano roll was my favorite of the two! The flavors were amazing. The service was great, they are very friendly! Fresh flowers in the bathroom was a nice touch. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Why have I been sleeping on this place for the last two years? Hot damn, the Nozomi team is slinging high quality soosh!! Made the mistake of not making a reservation, definitely do so on a weekend! Best part is you can make the rezy right on their Yelp page. The restaurant was absolutely slammed without an empty seat. Which I'm not going to lie, was incredible to see during these tough times for restaurants; especially in winter. We waited 15 minutes and scored a table. No harm, no foul. My favorite items to order when I go out for sushi is nigiri. I find the combination of raw fish on top of rice to be the pinnacle of seeing how great the fish is on its own, while still getting the bite of rice we all want. The nigiri I had was outstanding. 10/10 wouldn't change a thing. Fresh, buttery, and melted in my mouth. Mmmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! We split various rolls and these were great, too. I'd say 4 stars compared to the nigiri. However, they were nicely presented and rolled appropriately where the components didn't fall out while eating. I have to order seaweed salad to start and this portion was hulk-sized! I thought the price was a little high initially, but now I see why. Can easily split between two people! This hidden gem needs to be on your sushi radar for a date night or large group together. Prices aren't exorbitant, table service was quick, and the quality of sushi was excellent. I hope you stay busy, Nozomi!

Wow, this place was poppin'! I stopped by on a Saturday without a reservation and got super lucky snagging a spot at the bar, definitely recommend making reservations on weekends. The sushi was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout the night. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date or intimate one-on-one conversation. It's a smaller space, so probably not ideal for large groups, but that's part of its charm, it feels personal and lively without being overcrowded. Free two hour parking around this cute neighborhood!

FAVORITE SUSHI SPOT IN DENVER. This place has the best highest quality / most loaded signature rolls in all of Denver. It is absolutely my favorite. I love that it has a local feel to it, and you can usually walk in to eat. 12/10 would recommend. Ambiance is also super cute!

This is an amazing sushi restaurant. The food is extremely fresh. The food here is a little pricey. Every single roll we had was extremely great. The wine and saki menu is very good. Service was terrible. We had to flag the waiter down to order, ask for more, the check, and to pay. I would have given this place a 5 if service wasn't so bad. It took us a little over 45 mins to place our order and another 45- 1 hour to get the food.

Celebrated my birthday at Nozomi! It was my first time at this place but it became my new favorite for omakase in Denver. Fish was super fresh and every piece was served like a piece of art. I loved their black cod, it was incredible! My husband's favorite was the Hokkaido scallop. The service was very good, friendly and fast! The place is small and cozy which makes for private experience! I highly recommend this place, it's a true gem!

We were here on a busy Saturday night. Definitely recommend a reservation. After we got seated we were quickly brought water. Once we placed our order we got our sushi faster than I ever have any where before. Sushi was fresh, accurate and delicious. It is a chaotic spot to dine, very busy and loud but overall would return.

listen to me when i tell you this: nozomi HH hand rolls are the BEST bang for your buck you will ever get in colorado. salmon is always my favorite- it has a HUGE piece of soft salmon that is super high quality. i also love their spicy salmon! you can never go wrong with spicy edamame or any of their other rolls, but the hand rolls are the star for me for sure. service is so speedy! the servers are always very kind and attentive. it's a tiny restaurant but very intimate for a cute date night! overall, 5 stars for nozomi!!!

My sister has been telling me about this sushi spot and I finally got the chance to try it! We came with a large group of about 9 of us and had a reservation. The restaurant was packed! I just let my sister's boyfriend order for the group but everything was really good. The standouts were definitely the toro, sashimi appetizers, and the seared salmon. They all tasted really fresh and buttery. The service was top notch and they were super attentive despite how busy the restaurant was. Would definitely come back here for sushi if I'm ever in the area.

The food was great because we're very full. They got our plates out of the way right away so nice and helpful!!! Loved the food. Will come back!

Good happy hour. Food was really fresh and tasty. I wish they had more variety on their happy hour menu but other than that, it was great! Fast, attentive service and the inside is very cute.

I feel like good, quality sushi is hard to find! But Nozomi is one of the great ones! Everything we ordered tasted so fresh and delicious! The service was a little slow, but it was a busy night. But it was nice to not feel rushed. Overall, it was so good and I will definitely go back!

He immediately suggested Sushi Den off Pearl as the go to spot. We had eaten at Temaki Den several times which is one of my favs when I visit. So I was all in. It did NOT dissapoint. Not only was the sushi top quality, but they had a wild selection of unique fish, and approaches to classic combos. We had some amazing Sake to pair with it. The server was outstanding and met us at our goofy level joking with us just the right amount. Plus I got miso soup AND a salad! Pricy, but totally worth it for a Father's Day celebration. Gotta get back here when I can! We thought we made a mistake choosing sushi bar instead of a table because we'll have back issues. Surprisingly, the chairs had a mini back so you could lean back occasionally. And we think our experience was better because the sushi chefs would explain the origin of the fish and all the ingredients they used into each roll and order. We also got a complimentary piece for sitting at the sushi bar which was a light fried yellow tail which was so good. Service is amazing. They're attentive and check in on you often. It does take some time to get your rolls but give its time to digest. From watching the sushi chefs at the bar, they're very precise in how they make each roll. Every roll has similar proportions from the slight wasabi they use to the amount of rice and fish. Everything that we had was amazing. The hamachi and salmon sashimi felt like butter. It just melts in your mouth. The aged toro was so delicious. Even the edamame was just so good. The unagi nigiri is some of the best I've had in the state (the nigri was better than the handroll and I think it's because I love unagi so I love the ratio in nigiri form). The Spicy Tuna Oshizushi was a surprising favorite of the night along with the Crème Fresh Salmon Belly. I could've done without the wagyu but it was good. Every order does come with only 1 so order based on the amount of people that are with your party. Some items we were unsure of like the wagyu so we ordered 1 and shared a bite. Overall, I understand the hype and the reservations. But it was worth it and I'm surprised we can get high quality fish in a landlock state. Of the high end sushi restaurants in CO, Temaki Den is probably my fave.

Uchi is dangerous for people like me…read more Not because of the raw fish. Because the place understands seduction. I've been eating at Uchi since it opened in Denver and today it still carries that same intoxicating balance of precision, warmth, swagger, and restraint. The room itself glows instead of shouts. Wood slats divide the dining room into little private theaters while the sushi counter hums with focused choreography. Expert hands moving constantly. Rice. Fish. Quiet communication. Tiny acts of discipline repeated hundreds of times a night. I sat down intending to have a civilized happy hour. That plan lasted maybe twelve minutes. The kurodai crudo arrived first. Gooseberry, leche de tigre, candied garlic. Bright, sharp, and alive. This is the kind of starter that wakes up your entire palate and you are reminded that you will absolutely be spending more money than originally intended. Next was the bincho temaki: cool albacore, kimchi, avocado, and a vividly garish orange sauce with some heat to keep the richness from becoming too much. Uchi understands something many restaurants don't: luxuriousness needs balance. Fatty fish without acid, spice, crunch, or brightness is palate exhaustion. And then one after another the deliciousness continued: the oysters were cold and perfect with cucumber, calamansi vinegar, and umeboshi. The day boat scallop nigiri nearly stopped time altogether. Just sweet scallops, rice, citrus, a little finishing salt. Incréable. Or whatever the French word is for "I briefly forgot my own name." And somewhere during martini number one, the staff adopted me. Apparently Uchi keeps notes on guests. Mine, I was told, says I'm "nice and a good eater," which may be the most flattering thing anyone has said to me in months. Suddenly more dishes started appearing. Gifted nigiri. Ikura glowing like little amber jewels (my favorite). A ridiculous and completely delicious carrot toro maki with green chili crunch and enough heat underneath the richness to make the whole thing flirt openly with your mouth. At one point the bartenders literally invented a "walu walu shot" on the fly just because the mood had drifted into improvisational chaos. This was somewhere between oyster shooter, seafood dare, and excellent bad decisions. Meanwhile, the guests next to me started talking to me and the entire energy of the evening shifted into communal sushi-bar joy. Suddenly we were all reacting to dishes, laughing, comparing bites, participating in the same ecosystem of salt, fish, alcohol, and temporary human connection. This is the real thing Uchi sells. Not merely sushi. Attention. Rhythm. Atmosphere. Memory. The feeling of being folded into a beautifully functioning machine dedicated entirely to pleasure. And yes, by the end I was emotional enough to remember being 20 years old eating sushi with an older woman named Alana who wore real fur and introduced me to this whole sensual adult world in the first place. That is what a martini and exceptional nigiri will do to a man. The final bill before tip was somehow only $141, which honestly feels mathematically impossible considering I briefly entered a spiritual relationship with the sushi counter. I tipped $50 because at that point we were basically family. Uchi remains one of the sexiest restaurants in Denver. Not performatively sexy. Not influencer sexy. Actually sexy. Confident. Observant. Generous. Precise. And just dangerous enough to make you order one more thing. Amazing dining experience.
