Oh my goodness! My veggie ramen with fried tofu... no words! Piping hot, healing, refreshing. I walked out of Menya feeling energized & replenished! Just knowing we have cold days ahead, I will be going out of my way to come back for this soup! Many times. Service was wonderful and very tentative! I tend to drink a lot of water & was never left wanting more. For a veggie soup, this was very creamy and felt indulgent for all of my *treat yourself* friends! I ordered a decaf plum tea to go with my hot ramen and it all was just the experience I needed to feel rejuvenated. I'll be back soon! Thanks, Menya!

I ordered their Menya Special, which is their Tonkotsu, and some gyoza. The broth was pretty tasty. I prefer my noodles thicker and on the chewier side, but it was still tasty. Their gyoza is yummy.

Tried this place out for lunch while exploring the area and got their build your own poke bowl with spicy chicken, white rice, cucumber, corn, edamame. Food came out quickly and had good portion sizing, but didn't deliver on the flavor like I had hoped. It was still decent food like a 3.5/5 with a nice spacious ambiance, but rounded down as there are many better 4 star comparisons for me.

I love coming here after class because it is a quick walk if I'm ever craving noodles. It is located on 16th street and because the weather was super nice today me and my friend decided to sit outdoors. I usually get the udon because it's nice and light and typically hits the spot. It's definitely not my favorite spot to get ramen or noodles but it is definitely good for what it is and the location is super convenient. The servers are always super nice and even though we were one of the only tables outside our server made sure that we were taken care of.

The service was fine at this casual noodle bar but the food didn't impress us, and particularly the mediocre shrimp tempura didn't have much taste and the pork in the tonkotsu was really chewy (though the broth was rich). There's lots of tables and the noise level isn't too high...both good. So, maybe it was an off night for Menya.

Solid ramen spot they have a good assortment of Japanese offerings not limited to ramen and noodles despite the same. Service was cordial and prompt, food came out really quick, almost felt like they knew what I was going to order. I liked my black garlic ramen but it felt like it could use more spice. My colleague had the standard one and he liked it, said it was the balance of salt and savory was on point. If you close your eyes and open them in the restaurant just for a second you may just think that you're on the edge of shinjuku.

Very good ramen spot on 16th street mall. Service was good but a bit slow on a busy Friday night. I like that they offer a few vegetarian ramen choices, and their meat/seafood ramen selection is quite expansive. We had the bulgogi bun appetizer and some kimchi to start and both were great! I'd happily return as long as I'm not in a hurry to get in and out.

Was looking for something soupy in downtown Denver and found ok tasting ramen here. Server was nice but took a while for food to come out. The ramen is a bit pricy for a bowl. The tantan ramen had a good peanut flavor base but the ramen noodles tasted like the packaged instant ramen. Decent place if you are craving ramen since there aren't much stores in this area for ramen but nothing spectacular.

Very busy lunch a weekday lunch. Food comes out quickly. It's a beautiful snowy so something like ramen was perfect. The chicken karaage was a great size. The bao buns were okay. The ramen broth was good at first, but it got really salty as I was eating it. The texture of the noodles was fine. Overall it was an okay ramen place me.

3.5 to be precise! The tan tan noodles and red oil dumplings were good everything else was very mediocre. The kimchi rice was alright, I wished it had more kimchi to it.. the bao bun was alright, we got the shrimp bao. The one thing I was very disappointed about was the pricing, for example $8 for a single bao is expensive. I felt as though everything was on the steeper side considering the quality of food we got and that this is not a fine dine. Avoid the drinks here.. I got the matcha strawberry and it was nothing special about it, very syrupy. Service was alright.

They give you the entier collar! I also liked the yaki ika which was very tasty, not rubbery at all. They have a lot of ramen on the menu which was a crowd pleaser for our group. Their edamame is also very spicy and quite good -- not your typical simply salted edamame. One thing I wouldn't order - the kimchi fried rice. Uncle makes me want to move to Denver! To start the ambiance is really chill and inviting with warm lighting and offers countertop as well as table seating. Our server was amazing and explained the menu well and made some recommendations that did not disappoint. We ordered way to much food but I do not regret that because I got to try so many amazing dishes. Despite ordering so many options they even brought us a chilled tofu dish complimentary (no clue why but not complaining) and it was lovely! We shared the uncle salad (amazing!), thai shrimp, eggplant buns, several different nigiri/aburi nigiri and sashimi and the toro toro and spicy tuna roll. All of the sushi was fresh and had excellent pairing of accompaniments. The only dish that I remember being a miss was the soft shell crab buns. The proportion of bun to interior was off and there was way too much mayo. Everyone got their own ramen which they seemed to love. I ordered the Veggie Khao Soi per our servers recommendation and I am still thinking about it weeks later. It was a curry/ramen mix and had big chunks of trumpet mushrooms in it and the perfect amount of spice that I love. What a cute little place!!…read more It was late in the evening and I was getting hangry. I was craving ramen and Neko came up during my Yelp research. They were open late, so we decided to go. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.

You won't find fancy sushi here or fusion cooking here, but rather tasty home cooked style classic Japanese dishes. Dishes like Japanese curry, oyakodon, and other donburi and noodle dishes. Having been here multiple times, I cannot recommend this place enough for a homey style meal. No joke, each meal here makes you feel warm inside, like a good home cooked meal. It's comparable to many meals I've had traveling through out real Japan. The flavors are simple, but each dish is well prepared while emphasizing conform over fancy preparation. You just cannot go wrong with any dish here, though I'm partial to the donburi, the green tea soba, and the hot pot. And if the meal is not enough, there is a beautiful garden to enjoy. If you catch it at the right time, the cherry blossom in the spring is beautiful and transport you right to Japan. Overall, Domo is a place that I'm always down to visit.
