Super impressed with everything we ordered! Great quality and freshly made meals! INCREDIBLE MEAL! Location is cute and comfortable! I want to come back!
Stopped in for a small snack with my husband to tide us over to dinner while we were in Denver. We had the "water fried" vegan bao, which is a bit more like a dumpling than what I usually think of as bao, but it was tasty and really hit the spot. The location is small, but tidy, and since we were there in the afternoon but before the dinner rush, it was relatively quiet. There was outdoor seating that would presumably be nice in warmer weather, but we stayed indoors because it was cold. Their restroom floor is slightly scary in that it looks a bit unstable and cracked, and it definitely showing some wear and tear, but was otherwise fine. Service was friendly and the food came out pretty quick. If I had more time, I would have liked to stop by at some point to try their vegan Dan Dan Noodles, but we didn't end up having a ton of wiggle room on our trip--maybe next time!
I was in town for work and this place was about a block and a half away, and I was craving dan dan noodles and dumplings. My favorite are water-fried dumplings (shengjian bao), so I ordered 8 pork along with a bowl of dan dan noodles. I wanted a drink too, but they were out of the classic milk tea, so the cashier recommended the peach tea with boba. Dumplings were great! Crispy bottoms, juicy filling -- exactly what I was hoping for. The dan dan noodles weren't as spicy as I like, but I appreciated that they included mustard greens and bok choy, which gave the bowl some nice texture and freshness. The bubble tea was... not good. Just way too sweet for my tastes, even after stirring it a few times. I ended up not finishing it. I came by during lunch and it was fairly busy. Most tables were full, but as a solo diner I was able to snag a table for two without any issue. Overall, solid spot for dumplings and noodles if you're in the neighborhood -- I'd definitely come back, but I'll skip the boba next time.
I'm kinda fascinated by the vibe of this place. The decor feels like elevated casual dining while still maintaining a hole-in-the-wall small business energy. I came here with Hubby to keep him company while he ate dinner. I didn't order anything because I had already had eaten prior to coming here. But based on this first visit, I decided to come back the next day for lunch. I ordered the Vegan Dan Dan noodles which came with corn, baby bok choy, and pickled veggies. The amount of toppings were so abundant, you can't even see the large amount of noodles underneath. But they're in there with a light sauce. This meal hit the spot! https://yelp.to/tAOwJfnCvQ If I had a bigger appetite or more time in Denver for another visit to Chopsticks, I would check out the Vegan Bao. If I ever make a trip back to Denver, I'm coming back here :)
For Colorado it's a 4 star rating For the Bay Area, it's a 3 It's always when I travel I crave "home" food. I swung by here to grab some soup dumplings because of the reviews. It is fairly priced. Not really a restaurant setting (more like a Five guys for dumplings) * I got: - soup dumplings: meat didn't have flavor, dumpling wrapper is too thick, broth is okay. - chicken potstickers: "very popular" but I didn't like it at all. No flavor at all. - Woodward mushroom: loved this one! Overall the best part of this was the Woodward mushroom & how fast the food came out. Service was also good! Unfortunately I threw away half of the dumplings and some of the soup dumplings away..
Great dumplings!!! Line to order. Tip requested for pickup (I missed that 8% was added by business as a tip). Out of all rice dishes. Sugary sodas and teas with sugar too. Bao was excellent. Small but a few in an order.
My husband and I were looking for a light snack to share, and we stumbled upon chopstickers... We are both suckers for a good steamed bun so we decided to try it! We weren't disappointed. We were cursing ourselves that we had decided to share because we both wanted to eat as many steamed buns as we could possibly fit into our bellies! The restaurant was clean inside and the service was great. Our food came out really quick and was super fresh. If you love, steamed buns... This is the place for you!
The service is minimal and you pay first so you don't need to tip too much. The food is authentic, but very salty. It's a casual place for some comfort foods.
Amazing! We ordered the fried pork bao, pork potstickers, and the chicken fried rice. All were so good and tasted very fresh!
This is a little hole in the wall spot & it does not disappoint. It's located near the Convention Center (maybe a 10-minute walk) & they have vegan options! Yes, options, plural, as in more than one! I had their vegan bao & their spicy vegan Dandan noodles. Both were delicious. Our food took a while to come out because the line to order food was super long, but the food was worth the wait. read more

Food We ordered the chicken potstickers - not great, honestly. We've had definitely better chicken dumplings elsewhere in the suburbs. Pretty mediocre overall. They do have quite a few vegan and vegetarian options on the menu, though. Service & Ambience Casual vibe. Cleanliness Been here twice, and both times the tables felt a bit sticky - maybe something to do with how they clean them. Wouldn't call it squeaky clean. read more

Chopstickers is a classic 'hole in the wall' spot located about a block and a half from the Convention Center. I visited there during a break from a convention I was attending and was glad to find it open. Service was brusque but reasonably fast. I ordered the Pork Water-Fried Bao and the Spicy Ground Pork over rice. Both looked great; but alas, both dishes were unaccountably bland. I'm not a 'five alarm fire is a great flavor' kind of guy but when a dish says 'Spicy Ground Pork', it better have more zip than communion wafers. Average it out, and this place scores a 3 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either. read more

The Chopstickers at 16th and California was packed during lunch hours. With all seats taken for dine-in, many people had to share tables and made it part of the dining experience. Did not order xiaolongbao this time, but ordered the beef noodle soup and the new peach milk tea with jelly instead. The beef noodle soup was not as spicy as I thought, perfect for someone like me who normally avoided spicy food. The soup was rich, aromatic and not overly salty, the beef was slow cooked, tender and juicy and the handmade noodle was fresh, flavorful and chewy. Authentic, tasty and enjoyable overall. The peach milk tea was refreshing and fruity, but should ask for less ice, as it took me some effort to get to the jelly stuck between the ice cubes. read more
Chopstickers is pretty close to the Denver convention center and they also have vegan and vegetarian options! I was trying to be more plant based this day so I went with the Vegan Dan Dan Noodles and the Vegan Steamed Baos. Steamed baos were great and tasted similar to baos that I used to eat in the morning while living in China. The Dan Dan noodles were decent, but one of my bock choy pieces felt a bit cold and off. However, service was kind friendly at this place! read more
For Denver, I guess this can be about a 4 but from LA, roughly about a 2. However, I'm all about supporting small businesses but the flavor of the Dan Dan noodle was not proper to what it should taste like. The soup dumplings were probably machine made, frozen, and tasted mediocre (like Trader Joe's frozen soup dumplings). The pork belly bun wasn't too bad. Portion more decent and staff were friendly. However, the restroom was disgusting and the tiles were loose and quite dangerous to use. read more
minus 1/2 star because I came 30 minutes before closing but they said "take out only" I was just one person and would've liked to eat the food there when it was hot and fresh. But they made me to take out and minus 1/2 star by the time I got back to my hotel the soup dumplings (xiao long bao) weren't optimal. Regardless the soup dumplings didn't come with the usual black or red vinegar with ginger. It did have a "ponzu" sauce but that was soy sauce + citrus. Not the same. Also the skin seemed a little on the this side. impressive that they had legit Apple Sidra (apple soda that is legit Taiwanese) Delicious, better than martinelli's. Don't know what's in it though... the beef noodle, I was impressed that they packed the noodles separate from the soup And that there were lots of veggies and corn! I love corn!! And the beef chunks were soft, plentiful, and generally this was a great dish! Ambiance was pretty happening for Chinese restaurant, but again I was said that I wasn't allowed to eat there and had to take to go. Sad table for 1. loved that it was so close to my hotel. read more

I travel to Denver every so often for work. About 6 months ago I ordered this food to my hotel. When I left Denver I immediately told my finance about this place and how we needed to come to Denver and try it together. In the 3 times since I've been back for work, I've gotten Chopstickers every single time. I've told myself each time I'd go in store but usually I am to beat from work to deal with getting downtown. Even through delivery the food arrives to my hotel which is about 25 min away fresh and amazing ! I can't get over how good this place is. The noodles are absolutely incredible and the Pork Water Fried Bao is absolutely phenomenal. God bless this place for existing read more
So I'm in Denver for a conference. It was a long day of a lot of meetings and an after-event rooftop party at 54thirty. I was exhausted and other attendees were asking if I was going to yet another event but I just wanted to get back to my room and get some dinner. The challenge I find whenever I'm at a conference is finding a local hole-in-the-wall near where I am. Usually it's chain offers but luckily, I spotted Chopstickers on the ol' Yelp app. It was close by so the SO and I decided to check this out. She had already had dinner, so I was dining myself. The restaurant was sparse but nice (to me, fit the hole-in-the-wall spot I was looking for). From what I could tell, definitely a family affair (looks like husband/wife/daughter working at the time). Their menu was limited, but this is what I was looking for. I'm sure you can find the menu on other reviews but it's dumplings, noodle soups, fried rice, and what they called water bao. I was very curious about the water bao because to me, it looked like the grilled baos you can get at Tasty Noodle House in SoCal, but I couldn't eat THAT much so I opted for the beef noodle soup, which is a Taiwanese staple from what I've heard. Man, this really hit the spot. In the picture it looks spicy AF but it's actually more mild than it appears. The bok choy was fresh, the noodles delicious, the beef gave it that extra nudge of flavor and texture to really bring this over the top. Service was friendly and fast (it's kinda fast casual, you get your own drinks and napkins). It was good enough to where my wife decided to come back the next day but I'll let her share her review. read more

The restaurant is in walking distance from many hotels. I would consider this a quick spot to have a bite for lunch. I ordered pork.baos and was pleasantly surprised with the size of the portion. I was considering it initially as an appetizer before the actual dish came my way. It was filling and tasty. I will have to come back some other time to try other items on the menu. You basically walk into the restaurant and order your items, you're given a number and then the food is brought to your table. My server was polite and efficient. There were many available tables to see four or two people, but there were two or three larger tables to accommodate more. The restaurant was clean and with some background noise, which is not really a bother at lunchtime. I would recommend this restaurant for a quick lunch in between meetings or a tasty but filling snack on the go. read more

What a little hidden gem! Was in town for a convention an a coworker found this place! We ate like queens for a VERY reasonable price! Amazing and authentic food, everything was fresh. The staff was nice and accommodating and I love that they asked if we had any allergies- how cool is that? I love supporting small local businesses like this and will hunt this place down next time I'm in Denver! read more
Everything u could want for the price and ambiance. We went in on a Friday evening around 515 and there was no line, but once we sat down with our food people started pouring in. As a party of 5 we shared 2 orders of soup dumplings and one chicken gyoza. Everything was so good! For such a good price. We spent $40 in total and got so full, the soup dumplings are yummy, seasoned perfectly and the texture is just right. I love how charred the gyoza were too, although it could use a sprinkle of chives and to be served with some sauce. Been wanting to check this place out for a while and was the perfect fast casual spot, we will def be back. read more
Chopstickers! Where have you been all my life?!? This place is so dangerous for me. I work Downtown, and Chopstickers is less than a block from my office. I usually bring my lunch, but indulge myself and eat lunch out once per week. Thanks to Chopstickers, I've broken my rule a couple of times. The staff are so friendly. That's important to me. And the food? WOW! I have not been disappointed in anything I've tried. It's all good. My favorite so far are the soup dumplings. All the foo is authentic, but if you never have had soup dumplings, get them here. Pro tip: do not puncture the dumplings or you will ruin the surprise s well as miss out on some fantastic flavors. My other favorite is limited and not around for long, so make haste and get to Chopstickers and order the egg drop soup. I've been there too late and they ran out. The bonus here is you can get one free refill FREE! Grab a table near where they steam the dumplings if you've never seen the process of steaming them. It's pretty cool. I hesitate telling people about this place, but we need to make sure they stay in business, especially when so many business have closed on 16th Street Mall. read more
Place was busy. Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) were okay. Tasted like they were frozen and the wrappers were a little thick. The shrimp/chive steamed buns were decent but nothing to write home about. Staff was great though. I could see why people come here (it was pretty busy). read more
We love dumplings and Chopstickers had a good Yelp rating and was a short walk from our hotel. Our party of four was hungry and ordered: Pork Water Fried Bao $11.49 Soup Dumplings $11.99 Pork Belly Bun $8.99 Edamame $4.99 Chicken Potsticker $10.99 Japanese Kid Soda $3.80 Fountain Drink $2.00 Total with tax and tip: $ 61.03 I was impressed! The potstickers were great, nicely fried and tasty! The soup dumplings arrived piping hot (out waitress warned us to wait a few minutes before eating these). They were hot and delicious. I enjoyed all of these and would reorder them any time. We think Chopstickers provides tasty food at very good prices. I look forward to a return visit. read more
I only got their Water Fried Shrimp Dumplings. They were very yummy! Crispy bottom with a savory shrimp and chive mixture on the inside. I especially liked the chili oil and black vinegar sauce they came with. Would definitely come back to try out their other items. read more
Fast service and friendly staff. The food was full of flavor, I ordered the egg drop soup, mushroom salad, and vegan noodles. The salad was very tender and ginger seasoned. The egg drop soup was satisfying and warm, especially with a little chili oil from the table on top. The vegan noodles were good, incredibly heavy on garlic and no protein, but good texture. I would prefer to have had the ingredients listed on the menu because I may have made a different choice of entree. read more
We were expecting cheap Chinese food, but it was better than we expected. The storefront sign looked like Subway (yellow & white). Ordered all pork dishes: *Potstickers (10) - burnt bottom *Steamed Bao (8) - pillowy soft outside with just a ball of pork inside *Soup Dumplings (8) - most flavorful of all the dishes *Buns (3) - pork belly was dry and stiff You order at the register and then they bring the food to your table. There was an attempt to make the interior nice, but it's a hodgepodge of different styles. Restrooms are strangely far from the dining area. read more
