The postickers were cooked well, still juicy when you bite into them. The egg drop soup was well flavored but could've been topped with green onions. The egg drop soup is a necessity for the fried rice, which was too dry. Its a basic egg fried rice with short grain rice rather than jasmine rice and the rice was undercooked. Rice for fried rice should be dry but not undercooked. There was wok hei in the fried rice but it was a bit bland. If you're thinking of only ordering fried rice, don't. Stopped in for a small snack with my husband to tide us over to dinner while we were in Denver. We had the "water fried" vegan bao, which is a bit more like a dumpling than what I usually think of as bao, but it was tasty and really hit the spot. The location is small, but tidy, and since we were there in the afternoon but before the dinner rush, it was relatively quiet. There was outdoor seating that would presumably be nice in warmer weather, but we stayed indoors because it was cold. Their restroom floor is slightly scary in that it looks a bit unstable and cracked, and it definitely showing some wear and tear, but was otherwise fine. I was in town for work and this place was about a block and a half away, and I was craving dan dan noodles and dumplings. My favorite are water-fried dumplings (shengjian bao), so I ordered 8 pork along with a bowl of dan dan noodles. I wanted a drink too, but they were out of the classic milk tea, so the cashier recommended the peach tea with boba. Dumplings were great! Crispy bottoms, juicy filling -- exactly what I was hoping for. The dan dan noodles weren't as spicy as I like, but I appreciated that they included mustard greens and bok choy, which gave the bowl some nice texture and freshness. The bubble tea was... not good. Just way too sweet for my tastes, even after stirring it a few times. I ended up not finishing it. I came by during lunch and it was fairly busy. Most tables were full, but as a solo diner I was able to snag a table for two without any issue. The beef noodle soup was not as spicy as I thought, perfect for someone like me who normally avoided spicy food. The soup was rich, aromatic and not overly salty, the beef was slow cooked, tender and juicy and the handmade noodle was fresh, flavorful and chewy. Authentic, tasty and enjoyable overall. However, I'm all about supporting small businesses but the flavor of the Dan Dan noodle was not proper to what it should taste like. But they made me to take out and minus 1/2 star by the time I got back to my hotel the soup dumplings (xiao long bao) weren't optimal. But the employee Rani was PHENOMENAL!! Very welcoming, friendly, patient, and made the experience comfortable to dine! I travel to Denver every so often for work. About 6 months ago I ordered this food to my hotel. When I left Denver I immediately told my finance about this place and how we needed to come to Denver and try it together. In the 3 times since I've been back for work, I've gotten Chopstickers every single time. I've told myself each time I'd go in store but usually I am to beat from work to deal with getting downtown. So I'm in Denver for a conference. It was a long day of a lot of meetings and an after-event rooftop party at 54thirty. I was exhausted and other attendees were asking if I was going to yet another event but I just wanted to get back to my room and get some dinner. The challenge I find whenever I'm at a conference is finding a local hole-in-the-wall near where I am. Usually it's chain offers but luckily, I spotted Chopstickers on the ol' Yelp app. It was close by so the SO and I decided to check this out. She had already had dinner, so I was dining myself. The restaurant was sparse but nice (to me, fit the hole-in-the-wall spot I was looking for). From what I could tell, definitely a family affair (looks like husband/wife/daughter working at the time). Their menu was limited, but this is what I was looking for. I'm sure you can find the menu on other reviews but it's dumplings, noodle soups, fried rice, and what they called water bao. I was very curious about the water bao because to me, it looked like the grilled baos you can get at Tasty Noodle House in SoCal, but I couldn't eat THAT much so I opted for the beef noodle soup, which is a Taiwanese staple from what I've heard. Man, this really hit the spot. In the picture it looks spicy AF but it's actually more mild than it appears. The bok choy was fresh, the noodles delicious, the beef gave it that extra nudge of flavor and texture to really bring this over the top. We spent $40 in total and got so full, the soup dumplings are yummy, seasoned perfectly and the texture is just right. I love how charred the gyoza were too, although it could use a sprinkle of chives and to be served with some sauce. Chopstickers! Where have you been all my life?!? This place is so dangerous for me. I work Downtown, and Chopstickers is less than a block from my office. I usually bring my lunch, but indulge myself and eat lunch out once per week. Thanks to Chopstickers, I've broken my rule a couple of times. The staff are so friendly. That's important to me. And the food? WOW! I have not been disappointed in anything I've tried. It's all good. My favorite so far are the soup dumplings. All the foo is authentic, but if you never have had soup dumplings, get them here. Pro tip: do not puncture the dumplings or you will ruin the surprise s well as miss out on some fantastic flavors. My other favorite is limited and not around for long, so make haste and get to Chopstickers and order the egg drop soup. I've been there too late and they ran out. The bonus here is you can get one free refill FREE! Grab a table near where they steam the dumplings if you've never seen the process of steaming them. It's pretty cool. My wife and I were staying down the street at the Hilton, so we were looking for something within walking distance. We walked in and looked at the menu for a little bit. We then decided to get a couple of things and split them. We went for the Beef Noodle Soup, Soup Dumplings, and some Pork Potstickers. While we waited for our food, we grabbed our drinks and a seat. Seating was very limited. We were able to grab an open table. Within about 5 minutes or so, our food was delivered to our table. Everything looked wonderful, so we dove in and started eating. The soup was our favorite, everything in it just tasted so good. I put some in a seperate bowl for myself, so that I could add some of the chili oil to it. This give it a nice little heat and worked well with the flavor of the soup. The pot stickers were excellent, they were perfectly cooked and had a great flavor. The soup dumplings, while good, were our least favorite. Having visited China last year, we had some amazing soup dumplings, and so these didn't quit compare. I found this place on yelp in the category of cheap eats. I'd say it's mis categories. An order of dumplings and a cup of egg drop soup were $18. I didn't love it.
