While I think it's crazy not to have some kind of process to organize takeaway orders, track people as they come in, and communicate about where things stand, I understand that a restaurant can be in the weeds and it's hard to dig out. I don't mind waiting for an hour for my food on New Year's Eve. But I do mind getting the wrong food. I received dumpling soup I didn't order. I did not receive egg rolls I did order, but I did receive crab cheese wontons in the place. I didn't receive sweet and sour chicken I did order. A real mess. This is hands-down, the best American Chinese I found in Denver. My family and I have given up ordering out Chinese and just make it at home and we wait until we go to Chicago to visit family to do American Chinese. The prices were reasonable. The portions were huge and the food was really good and the egg foo young was surprisingly tasty. Even my egg adverse five-year-old couldn't get enough of it. Favorite Chinese restaurant hands down. Even from an oldie but good one off Colorado blvd. Very consistent and always delicious. Prices are reasonable and dinner portions are big enough for leftovers. Staff members are always so friendly. A visit in the near future is necessary. Problem one: I'm vegan but the wait staff didn't know what that meant. I ordered a tofu with veggies dish. Large portion for a very reasonable price. But veggies were overcooked, especially the broccoli. Tofu was pretty good though. Was it vegan though? Overall, the food was bland. Ordered the king pao tofu and requested it be extra spicy. The tofu was cooked well -great chewiness- however the meal overall was bland and there were too many peanuts and celery pieces. For $20 (with tip) it wasn't worth it. I'll never be coming back here and I would recommend people go to a different restaurant if they're looking for chinese cuisine. When we walked up it kind of looked like a hole in the wall and we were excited ti try the food! The staff was very friendly and kept a close eye on us (in the best way) to perfectly time our soup, dumplings and main course! The restaurant was very clean! Dumplings are AMAZING... if you get nothing else get these and crispy! You will not regret. The sizzling rice soup was good too and had more veggies in it than we are used to, it was pretty hearty! The rice was rice and I'm not sure I would get the fried rice again, seemed like it just had soy sauce added. The Kung Pao chicken was very good as was the beef. Let me tell you this was some of the best Chinese food I have had in a really long time! I ordered Mongolian Chicken and it came with fried rice, which was hands down the best fried rice I have ever got from a restaurant! The portions are large and delicious, my husband got the Double Pan Fried noodles which we have never had or heard about but they were amazing! There was always a line for to go orders, but we were seated right away. We decided to try out the fried shrimp, Black Bean and Garlic Sauce Eggplant with Mushrooms, and the Mongolian Beef. The shrimp came out piping hot, crispy, and well worth a try. Even though they're not often found on Chinese Restaurant menus, it's easily a good decision to add them to your meal. I've been coming here for decades and the food has always been delicious. Tonight I ordered Kung Pao Triple Delight, my favorite. The food was very bland. The sauce is supposed to be dark brown. The sauce tonight was very runny, soupy and very light brownish. My friend ordered the orange chicken and hers was very bland as well. I'm wondering if they got a new chef. I did order with no MSG though. Can MSG affect color and consistency of the sauce??? If they did get a new chef, I won't return. Does anyone have any input? read more

I just need to update this to a 5. I gave it a 4 for some reason when I first had it. No idea why. It's really great. I live like 4 minutes away and we eat here probably like once a month and we go all the way out. to me it's perfect chinesse food and I'm pumped its just down the road.
