When we heard that Noodles Express was going to close, my friends and I were like we must visit. It's a truly hole in the wall restaurant. From the outside, it doesn't look really impressive and the interior isn't a standout. Service is pretty meh but nothing shocking. But the food is actually the reason why you should visit. The food is really good. Everything we ordered was pretty flavorful. There's a spice with most of the dishes we ordered so while one dish may not be spicy, it can add up when you have multiple dishes. My favorite was the fried pork intestine. That was so delicious and tasty. It was crispy. I'm craving them as I write this. Possibly one of the better intestines place in Colorado. If you're not adventurous, I still recommend them because it just tastes like pork belly.

4 for the Szechuan dishes, 2 for the other dishes. Recommend the spices boiled fish, the intestines with sour cabbage! Sesame chicken was okay, a little heavy on the breading and the taiwan noodle soup the broth tasted like water but the meat was soft and the noodles were chewy, but an overall pass on these dishes for me. The dumpling is very mainland Chinese style with more meat than veg, and flavor is almost a licorice undertone, so while it's fine it's not my style of dumpling. Owners/servers are friendly, vibe is very hole in the wall. I 100% want to go back and try more of the Szechuan dishes, but probably pass on Taiwan or American style dishes.

Excellent authentic food. The owners are really nice and will chat with you in Mandarin if you speak the language. Convenient location on Colorado Blvd in Glendale. Decor needs a makeover but it's clean and the food is well worth it!

I'm already in mourning as their upcoming closure at the end of August looms closer. Authentic Chinese food is hard to come by as it is without trekking it out further south. I heard the landlord is making the rent unsustainable for them so the owners decided this would be a good time to retire. I plan on eating there as much as I can till then. Food overall: Szechuan style with a few Americanized options. Flavorful. Comes in generous portions. Favorites from the past two years stopping by here. -Pork intestine with sour cabbage - I enjoy the sour and salty flavor profile mixed in my rice. -Chongqing pepper chicken - very happy with how much szechuan peppercorn they put in. I like pairing every bite of chicken with it. -Eggplant with garlic sauce - they managed to keep the texture and purple color. No soggy eggplant here. -Pan-fried green beans - crunchy texture. Not too salty. Vibe: Small to medium ish. Casual. Service: Very nice and polite. Price: Reasonable for the portion size.

Yo this place is GOOOOOOD. Like if you want Schezuan food - this place is the MOVE! Every single dish we ordered was delicious. For me, the standout are the Dan Dan noodles. Has a great kick to it and packed with flavor. The mapo tofu was great too. All around, best meal to come back to after a long weekend of hitting the slopes. Throughly enjoyed my meal here with friends! Nice owners too. Go check it out!!

I definitely like the location of this restaurant! Don't have to drive all the way to Aurora yet it's close to other fun Asian places like Yomie Yogurt and Mango Mango! I digress... Get the Braised Pork Foot, you can remove your dentures and still be able to "chew" - it's that tender! (OK, joking about the dentures but you get my meaning) Their version of the Crispy Pork Intestine is stuffed with green onion, which I loved - added so much more flare! Home Style Cabbage has a little bit of a kick since it's stir-fried with Sichuan peppercorns. Twice cooked fish was ordered by my friend, I don't remember having tasted it. But it sure looked good! We only had one noodle dish - Homestyle Pork Noodles. You can definitely tell the noodles were made in house. It has that signature bite of hand pulled noodles. I won't think twice about coming back to check out more dishes!

Ask the Community - Noodles Express

What, if anything, is gluten free? Everything sounds amazing!

Most of the rice dishes should be gluten free or with rice noodles. Nothing is marked as gluten free though so they probably don't separate stuff that does and does not contain gluten. I would just call when you order so there is no confusion or… Read more

I am so glad that they are so consistent and have not changed recipes or adjusted seasonings. Ordered our two favorites - pickled pepper beef and mapo tofu. Then the string beans and a new dish - sauerkraut fish filet. The sauerkraut fish filet reminded me of the Vietnamese catfish soup but no sweetness added. Very good dish and will def order again. Also love that they have quality rice here.

We ordered the fried tofu (with peppers and onions), orange chicken, fried fish fillet, and veggie delight (mixed veggies). The fried fish fillet was definitely the standout. Perfectly crispy on the outside with a light, tangy layer of sauce that added flavor without making it soggy. Easily my favorite dish of the meal. The fried tofu was also really solid and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The peppers and onions complemented it well without overpowering the tofu itself. The orange chicken was okay. I tend to compare orange chicken to Panda Express (probably unfair, but it's my benchmark), and this one didn't quite hit that same balance of crispiness and sauce. I think if it had a bit more meat within each piece, would be better. The mixed vegetables were decent but not something I'd order again. They felt a bit drenched in sauce and didn't have much depth in flavor. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting an elderly woman who helps out when it gets busy. She mentioned she was the former owner. She was incredibly kind, and we ended up having a really nice conversation in Mandarin. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. Otherwise, really nice venue with lots of space and tables. Waiters always refilled my water, which is a good plus. Also gave me fresh rice when I took the leftovers to go. Overall, a solid meal with a couple standout dishes. I'd definitely come back for the fried fish fillet and tofu. Will be back to try their other dishes.

I haven't been very impressed with Chinese food in Denver, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but we were blown awayyyy!! We got several things to share, and I loved it all! The chicken shrimp wontons were so savory & a little bit spicy- the sauce was perfect. We next split the asparagus and green beans, which was the dish I was least excited about, but I'm pretty sure it ended up being my favorite. Crunchy, fresh, and a little spicy- delicious! Next we had the smoked wagyu brisket lo mein- wowwww this was so good. The smokiness wasn't overpowering, and once again the sauce was the best part. Noodles cooked to perfection. We ended with the Chong Qing chicken- this dish wasn't really up my alley, but my husband loved it! Salty & crunchy with sichuan peppers! Our server was really helpful & suggested all these dishes to us. To top it off, service was speedy! We were out of there in an hour with full happy bellies :)

I loved the high fashion cocktail! Interesting tea flavors, well-balanced, and not too sweet. And I'm sad it's going away. The food was also quite delicious. The dried scallop and bacon fried rice was game-changing! I'd have never thought to put those two things in fried rice, but it's so delicious! And the bacon just takes it up a whole other level. The short rib noodles were also yummy. I thought the cold chicken dish was interesting, like Taiwanese cold noodles but without the noodles. The fried Chinese eggplant was also a highlight. Sad this place has to close :(
