Visited 3/11/26 for lunch to go. Parking is tight, too many spaces not a lot of room to exit a large vehicle. Service was timely for a to-go meal. I ordered Thai basil with chicken. Food was tasty however, I did not receive chicken, I was given tofu. My order was taken down incorrectly. I was in a rush to leave to get back to work and did not review the food before I left. Needed someplace to go for dinner on Christmas Day because neither my husband and I wanted to cook and the kids didn't come to visit for the holiday- so Thai Pot Cafe was open!! Yes! If you love noodles this is the spot to get them from!!! Spicy and what I found out is that they make the wide noodles in house!!! You can not beat that!! They put jalapeños peppers and spouts in them to give them a kick for sure! Only thing I wish is that they had mushrooms and I could add shrimp to my dish. . Lots of the menu is marked GF or able to be made GF, however, the fryer is a tricky situation. when I went, one server told me the fried tofu was safe. Then, the second server said it technically was safe because it was fried first in the morning in clean oil (in an otherwise shared fryer), but the egg rolls are fried in the same fryer and oil as the day goes on. The eggrolls were surprisingly tasty the wrapping was thin and crisp and the filling was savory which was complimented by their sweet dunking sauce. The pad Thai was not good. This is normally my favorite Thai place, but consistency has been a bit off the last two times I've been, so taking that into consideration for this review. I'm hoping it's just been an off day, because they normally have my very favorite pad see ew in Denver! I'm disabled, no handicapped spaces anywhere near this place, so points off for that. Some kind of service van was parked in front of the entrance, partially blocking off access, more points off for that. Lunch menu was pretty high for LUNCH, $15+ for large entree w/ appetizer and soup, we never saw the soup. I had LARGE Pad See Ew, w/ shrimp, portion was disappointingly small, stingy on the shrimp, and the noodles were bland and flaccid. One of the great things about this dish is the wide, slightly charred noodles, but these noods didn't look like they'd been anywhere near a wok. Appetizer was crab rangoons, a decidedly non-Thai app, accompanied by a ho-hum sweet/sour sauce. My wife's Thai Pot dish was similarly uninspired and bland. I ordered my noodles Thai medium spicy, they were barely white-boy medium, good thing I got some Prik Nam Pla to jazz 'em up a little. Service was ok, except for never getting our soup. We were still hungry, so we ordered dessert, fried bananas, which were wrapped in store-bought spring-roll wrappers and fried, drizzled with a little chocolate sauce. The spring-roll skin was tough and dry, and we gave up on them about three bites in. But this has been a downward spiral for the last 3 months. And the owners need to know for that late night servings. I been here last Saturday and just post it today. I work in the area every Saturday and I really love Thai food. I've tried this place several times already, and this was my 3rd visit. The food is always amazing -- truly delicious. However, I did have an issue with the service every time we came in on Saturday. Our female server did not seem very welcoming. When we were ordering and asked questions about the menu, it felt like she was unhappy or bothered. Her English was one of the problem but not a deal breaker BUT her attitude made the experience uncomfortable. After serving our food, she did not check on us or refill our water. We noticed she spent most of the time talking with coworkers near the cashier and in the kitchen instead of checking on customers. wasn't happy with her service at all. There was only one gentleman server working in the front who seemed to be taking care of everything. When we finished eating, we waited about 10 minutes for our server, but she never came, so we had to go to the cashier to pay. This has now happened twice on Saturdays. I truly love the food here, so I will come back -- just not on Saturdays anymore. *** I highly recommend reviewing the service (specific her) as the server we had today was not providing a good experience. read more

This is my favorite Thai spot in Denver. They have fantastic allergen labeling (especially for gluten free and vegan/ vegetarians) and can make almost anything vegan or gluten free. They even offer their gluten free food on an orange plate for visual confirmation that the kitchen prepares it safely for you! This is absolutely appreciated and so comforting when you just want to dig into your food. As far as the rest of their food it is very well prepared, with a great range of spice options (I order a 20 for a mild/medium flavor), tons of dish options, and an amazing vegan Thai tea option! The service is always above and beyond and this is the only Thai place that I can find that is consistently top notch. If you are weary of fish sauce I recommend mentioning that or asking for your dishes vegan as some of the salads have it. The drunken noodles and their peanut sauce for their spring rolls are my favorite things. They use a coconut base and it is so creamy and flavorful. My only critique is that I think for $7 the spring roll app should come with more than 1 spring roll. I worked with Charlie for a couple of years, and I just went into Thai Pot Café and learned that he sold the restaurant to his employees. I have never been so overwhelmed with joy and pride knowing such a fantastic human being. The team and family that ran the kitchen for years are all still here and now it is a 100% Thai owned restaurant, it's just the kind of reality that makes you have hope in Denver and sincerely bring me to tears realizing that goodness and light shine brightest in the most unexpected places. Was in the mood for some delicious Thai food and this restaurant was suggested by a friend - so decided to swing by and check this location out! We arrived on a Wednesday at 12:30pm and had no wait time to get seated - we picked outdoor seats since the weather was nice that day. The restaurant had a pretty nice ambience both inside and out - it is located in a shopping/restaurant plaza with various other restaurants in nearby vicinity, and there are like 4 outside tables that seat 2 that could be pushed together to seat 4. Definitely gives a cozy feeling no matter the option you pick! I got the lunch special, which included the a small appetizer (in my case I got a soup) + the entree, which I'll review down below: Chicken and Rice Soup: For the lunch special you get a choice between: 2 Crab Rangoons, 1 Egg Roll, a Salad, or the soup of the day - with the soup of the day when I went being Chicken and Rice. This soup was delicious! The chicken was really tender and made for good texture difference between the rice and the soup, the rice was soft and had a good chew (not too chewy or hard, which is great!). The soup had a good clean flavor, seasoned well with subtle chicken flavor - I enjoyed it! Pad Thai: I got the large size pad thai for an extra $2 and my friend got the regular pad thai - personally I couldn't really tell a big difference between the sizes other than a bit more noodles I think - but that's just my perspective. There is a spice ranking from 1-35 (35 being extra Thai Spicy!), I picked 15, which was slightly above Thai mild because I don't have a personal reference for Thai level spice, I also got beef as my protein. The flavors definitely itch that craving for Pad thai really well - the flavors are sweet, spicy, and sour after the addition of the lime. The noodles were chewy and the beansprouts give a great refreshing taste to the overall dish, and the beef was tender and really soaked up the sauce well! The textures in the dish had all the elements I personally look for in a pad thai, and this was definitely a delicious plate that I would order again! Overall, I spent about $15 for the lunch special, which I thought was a pretty good price! The flavors were definitely delicious and the value was good relative to the food you get, and I would like to revisit to try the other options in the menu!
