I always love trying new Thai places.... Thai pot has been here for awhile now. They are a solid and consistent Thai place with descent prices. We came here for lunch, you get a choose of a soup, salad, egg roll, or cheese wonton to start with. I love that addition with so many choices. I ordered the drunken noodles. I loved that they added eggplant to the drunken noodles. I was a good filling size also. Fair warning Thai hot is super spicy so make sure you can handle spice if you order it Thai hot. read more

I always look forward to my trips to Denver because it means I can visit Thai Pot Cafe. They have a great selection of vegan options, and the food is consistently delicious. I started with the Fresh Spring Roll Tofu as an appetizer, which had a satisfying crunch and came with a ridiculously good peanut sauce. For my main course, I had the vegan version of Pa Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with tofu. The portion was generous, the sauce was flavorful without being overpowering, and the noodles had a nice texture. Although I would have liked more Thai basil, the dish was still enjoyable. I couldn't resist trying the Mango & Sticky Rice dessert, which was a delightful in-house-made treat. Overall, my family and I had a great dining experience at Thai Pot Cafe, even though it was a bit pricey. It's definitely worth a visit. read more

Thai food is my favorite. I've tried many dishes and haven't ever disliked a Thai dish, but drunken noodles are definitely my favorite. That being said, I had the BEST drunken noodles I've ever had today at Thai Pot Cafe! The lunch special was a great deal, served weekdays 11-3 and around $14 for an appetizer and entree that was more than enough food and I didn't even get the "bigger" portion for $1 more. For the app I got the Tom Yum soup and it was so balanced and tasty, one of the best I've ever had. The mushrooms and tomatoes and chicken all worked so well together in the slightly spicy/sour soup. For the entree the drunken noodles CRUSHED IT! I've tried this dish at every Thai restaurant I've eaten at and this was the best. Hands down. I got it with chicken and at a spice level of "Thai medium" and it was PERFECT! Def spicy but not overpowering. I asked my server what I should order since I'm used to a 1-5 scale and order a 4 and she recommended Thai medium and it was the right amount for a spice addicted eater like me I also tried the Thai Basin martini that had St Germain, gin, lemon, and Thai basil in it. The menu said to ask for it spicy (which I, of course, did) and it was one of the best cocktails ive had in awhile. I'm only in town for a week but I will definitely be coming back before I leave! I have been eating at Thai Pot foreverrrrrr. Even before the move. The management change and move was what revamped this classic Thai spot into a great hip yet authentic restaurant. Denver needs more Thai cuisine. I love coming here because the food is excellent, they can make alterations for gluten free and vegetarians and the service is the best. I occasionally come here with vegetarians and the flavor is definitely different but still very good. I love that no matter how busy they are... they treat you so kindly. I have never had bad service, sometimes you go to places and it depends on the server but here it seems standard that you receive genuine care. This place is a gem and is sure to be around for decades to come. Butttttt... came in for a take out order during COVID... asked very extra spice... tipped 20% because I feel bad for restaurant workers... she said we already got spice. We've been going to Thai Pot Cafe for years, both dine in and order out. The food is delicious. This week we ordered for pick up. The portions were tiny and the prices have gone up a lot. Here's a picture of the $18 Thai Basil chicken with a chapstick for scale. This is before we opened it. Thai Pot Cafe is officially my favorite Thai restaurant in the Denver area! For quick reference: My favorite dishes here are the Lad Na, Pad Thai, and Red Curry! The environment is wonderful--friendly staff, chatty and lively ambience, and beautiful interior. The food is FANTASTIC. Every dish I have tried here has been mind-boggling delicious. The Pad Thai is a basic, yet delicious, dish to choose if you haven't had a lot of Thai food before or if you just love this classic noodle dish. Their peanut sauce and rice noodles was flavorful and great texture. The red curry (or any of the curries really) is also a go-to choice of mine. I'm a big Thai curry lover and out of all the curries I've tried, TPC ranks my favorite so far. Lastly, you've got to try the Lad Na! If you've never had (or heard of) this dish, it's under the 'noodles' category and has a sweet and sour soupy, gravy consistency that tops wide rice noodles, a mixture of vegetables, and protein of choice (I got chicken). DELICIOUS!!! The food is very flavorful and the serving sizes are perfect. I was skeptical about ordering the fried rice, but even the fried rice had booming flavor. We got the Drunken Noodles and the Pad Thai as well, both super flavorful and addictive. The ambiance is very traditional yet modern? Very warm and comfortable. The service was average but good. The only thing that is keeping me from ordering frequently is the PRICING. It is expensive. Three dishes and Rangoons + standard tip came out to $80!!!! Very pricy. This place is the worst. The only reason I'm giving it two stars and not one is because the restaurant itself is nice. And that itself should be an indicator of the food -- good Thai restaurants are usually just dingy hole-in-the-walls. The food was ughhhh. The tom yum soup was anything BUT yum. The instant noodles packet has better flavor than this. And what the heck is with the random undercooked veggies??? My friend couldn't even finish his pan fried noodles -- he took 2 bites and was done. The silver noodles were okay. But it seemed that I could make them better at home instead of pay all that money for it. And the tea... dude. Jasmine tea should be made wth loose leaf tea. They gave us a tea bag and it was so incredibly bitter. CMON. ABSOLUTELY disappointing. Never coming back again. read more

A lovely atmosphere and fantastic food, they bring a Thai experience for both the well-versed and beginner Southeast Asian foodie. The Pad Thai is, according to my wife, the best in the city. We loved all of the dishes we had. Thai food is notorious for their heat. We Americans, with our soft palates, usually can't handle the heat that the Thai like to pack into their food, so Thai Pot gives you a heat scale. I like spicy food, so I went medium on my curry to test the waters, and I honestly wish i had gone hotter. They'll see us again, in the very near future. read more

We have been going there for many times a week. This time around things were different. The waiters who was an Asian lady was extremely rude from the time we came in. They were getting upset on anything if we would ask. The answers that they were giving to anything were very blunt And rolling their eyes. Then after that comes a gentleman at the end charging us extra dollars saying that you have not tipped us previously so we are going to charge you extra $20. Extremely unprofessional. Would not recommend this to anybody with a little bit of self-esteem. When I confronted him, he started arguing about giving tip. I told him to go and bring me proof that I haven't tipped which I always have. Regardless this is a decision of the customer.. He threw to go boxes on our table as well. I don't know there was something seriously wrong with the crew here. I was very upset and ashamed that I even went there. I would strongly strongly strongly recommend not to go this place. My first thought entering the restaurant was that it smells funny. Don't get me wrong, I'm one who loves fish sauce and never thought Thai or Vietnamese foods smell bad. But there was some unpleasant odor upon entering the dining area and that's what left an impression! I liked the decor! But that's about it.... The four of us ordered 4 things: Drunken Noodles; Pad Thai; Tropical Fried Rice; and Wonton Soup. The last item was forgotten even though it was a request from my friend to be just Wonton Soup (sans noodles), and we had to remind our server. Okay.. I confess, I am a huge Thai food fan! I have a lot of go to places but when my son said that this one was "off the charts" I had to test the waters. Well..... OMG he wasn't kidding! We order last night (about 7:00 p.m. a Wednesday night) and they said food would take 1 hour.. How wonderful, during this time they are busy busy! But after you try the food, you will know why! We started with the green papaya salad with chicken. A light and refreshing salad with tomatoes, papaya and green beans in a delicious thai dressing! It was wonderful. My son said a lot of his friend will order this as their lunch entree. Next up, summer rolls. A huge roll filled with noodles, carrots .. heck you know the drill.. and a wonderful peanut dipping sauce. This however was my least favorite item, but still really good. Next up, yep you guessed it... you can't try a new Thai place without ordering Pad Thai.... it is kinda the "Thai test!" Seriously, it was just awesome... with a nice spicy back kick! But, I am a sucker for green curry......... and theirs was perhaps the best I have had. This thick green coconut elixir was full of chicken, shrimp, cucumbers and bamboo shoots! I was in heaven! I truly cannot wait to go back and try some other things off their menu! It is gonna be really hard not to order what we had last night.... My son was RIGHT.....OFF THE CHART GOOD! Such a nice surprise. This place was crazy good. We went in as apposed to ordering and maybe that made all of the difference because everything was just perfectly flaky hot and delicious. We had it forever lunch and it was a solid choice. I think the curry lacked flavor, the veggies and jasmine rice were mediocre. The presentations was also subpar as it was all on one plate...it almost never comes like that. It gets three starts for service and ambiance! I have always loved this place but not anymore. The food is good (not exceptional) and a bit overpriced. The service is usually very good but tonight they asked us to leave literally one minute after we paid. There was one table waiting --one table. I would understand if we had been hanging out for 10-15 minutes but it was 60 seconds after I paid. It's sad because they lost a lifelong customer. Just really rude. The noodles and egg rolls got soggy on way home which is to be expected when doing take out. I opted for Thai hot and it was quite spicy. I was in town visiting my kids and staying in the Cherry Creek area. We wanted Thai food and saw this place on Google. What a find! I eat a lot of Thai food and this was some of the best I have had. We ordered Thai Basil stir-fry and it was full of veggies and chicken. My daughter had the Pad See Ewe that was also wonderful. I carried out, but the place was hopping when I went in at 8:50 pm. Love Thai Pot, never disappointed with them. I'm big on heat so I order a level 80, yes 8 0 lol. They're always surprised by this, but their Thai hot does nothing for me. I've done the level 100 That pot challenge. It's very hot but delicious. But I will admit too spicy to truly enjoy, 80 is perfect! I always get the Pad Woonsen with chicken, it's amazing. I recently had lunch with a friend at Thai Pot Cafe. The food was fine. It wasn't extraordinary, but it wasn't bad. I had the pad thai and the crab rangoon. The pad thai was fine. The crab rangoon wasn't and was reminiscent of what you'd get if you ordered Chinese delivery. The service was initially attentive and friendly until we apparently overstayed our welcome. They tried to rush us out and eventually told us "they were closed." Not knowing the restaurant closed at a certain time and guests had to leave, we had inadvertently planned a leisurely lunch. This is definitely more of a "turn and burn" place and not the place for a business lunch or a group gathering that might run long. If you're looking for a quick, casual bite, Thai Pot would probably fit the bill. If you're looking for anything more, it would be best to look elsewhere. read more
