Had our first take out from Little Dragon and they did not disappoint!! We got an order of sesame chicken, bbq pork fried rice, and egg drop soup. The whole family enjoyed it and we had plenty of leftovers as well! Everything smelled and tasted so good we forgot to even take pictures. I especially enjoyed the bean sprouts in the rice- so tasty!! I will say the cost is a bit on the higher side, but I'm definitely willing to pay more when the food is delicious! I had a hankering for lo mein so I went to the closest restaurant for it. This is a little pickup place inside a strip mall. I was a bit disappointed when I received my order. Little Dragon is our go-to for Chinese Takeout! It's a bit of a drive away from us (about 20-25 minutes) but we'd rather make the commute than order somewhere closer to us. We tried a few other restaurants but they just didn't live up to LD. Everything always tastes amazing, is hot and ready, good family sharing portions, and has an authentic quality about it. Nothing fusion based. We always order take-out since live far away, but even if you live close-by, they do not have indoor seating! Little Dragon gets a solid 4 out of 5 as it serves good Chinese American style take out. It's actually one of the better ones in the area if I'm not craving anything authentic Chinese. The beef chow fun is actually one of the best I've had in Denver and highly recommend. The portion is big and the beef is well seasoned. The noodles are soft but also firm as you would expect in really well made chow fun. I've ordered the same dishes at other places and found many of it bland or not seasoned enough, so this fish gets a 5 star! I've had their salt and pepper chicken, general tsos, and orange chicken and all to be good! Take out is quick and easy and is in my rotation whenever I order through door dash. This is a Take-Out/Delivery Only Restaurant. I had heard about their fabulous food through YELP and decided to try it. I ordered the Sesame Chicken with Fried Rice, 2 Vegetarian Egg Rolls and Crab Cheese Wontons. The Egg Rolls were just Ok, they needed more flavor. The Sesame Chicken was tasty and a nice large portion, i ordered "Mild" as I didn't want it too spicy, but it needed a little more flavor, as well, the Fried Rice was good as were the Crab Cheese Wontons, Just Not Fried as much as they were. I will definitely go back and order the Sesame Chicken again, with a little more spice . The CB young man who helped me was very helpful and polite. I've expressed my love for Chinese takeout numerous times over the years on Yelp. There's something about it that's extremely comforting, something that forces me to grin from ear to ear. I'm rarely not in the mood for it. Last week was not my first at Little Dragon, but my first time in quite some time. Strictly for proximity reasons, Little Dragon won't be my go-to spot. However, we have close friends who live a half mile away. And now that we're vaccinated and hosting gatherings again, it was a no brainer to place a big ol' pickup order when we hung out at our friend's place. The main positive characteristic of Little Dragon is that the food is always fresh, not oily and made with real ingredients. You can see it in their preparation and taste the difference. Really the only downfall with other Chinese takeout joints is that the food has been sitting around for a while, so they try to mask up the dish with oil and sauce. Not here thankfully! Placing an order over the phone is quick and painless. They usually throw in some hot and sour soup on the house, too. The employees are friendly and the food continually on point. Last week's BBQ Pork Lo Mein hit the spot. Same for the Crab Wontons, Veggie Spring Rolls and whatever else we ordered. I highly doubt anyone would have a bad experience here. I really wish I got the Mongolian Beef again but I opted for some crab wontons and a side of fried rice. Fried rice was good but nothing amazing and the crab wontons weren't amazing but still very good (you get a lot of them which was a plus) but let's face it I went for the Salt n Pepper (: 10/10 right there. There was a friendly gentleman by the name of Chuck outside and asked if I could order him something so I told him to pick whatever he wanted off the menu. Chuck's go-to was the sweet n sour chicken with no veggies (but keep the pineapple). He said he likes veggies but more so when they are cooked longer and more soft instead of a crunch. Super nice man and shook my hand thanking me for the meal. Times are hard out there so always do what you can to help others if you can afford it. I can't recommend this place enough!! I'd grab takeout from here at least once a week because it's that delicious. I always order the chicken in garlic sauce and chicken lo mein. The employees who work there are so sweet and helpful. They really make ordering and picking it up very easy. Just call and place your order. Around 15-20 minutes later it'll be ready to pickup. The chicken in garlic sauce is probably the best dish I've had, and chicken lo mein is so delicious. I really like the food, but I am feeling not so great about ordering from here. I went online to place an order and it came out to almost $105 for delivery, not including what I would have tipped. I thought, wow, thats kinda high, so I checked and it's because it was high. I called and placed a pick up order instead, and not only did it save me $29 but also the prices are different than they are on the website. This isn't through doordash either, its through the restaurants own website, so they charge a delivery fee and then a service fee on top of that. $30 in delivery fees, tip and whatever else vs. $75 (including tax) that I paid to pick it up. A friend recommended this spot to us and now I owe them big time! My boyfriend and I decided on trying it tonight. We had originally planned to dine in, but when we arrived, we realized it was more of a Take-Out or Delivery spot. No problems there! We were offered water or hot tea while waiting to order, which we thought was incredibly kind. We went up to the counter and were lucky enough to work with Tim. From the get-go, he was pleasant and gave us recommendations on hikes in the area. While we waited for our order, we walked around a nearby supermarket. Luckily, we got a call from Tim in 15 minutes!! Not only did we get what we ordered (explained below), but Tim gave us a large Hot & Sour soup on the house! The soup was warm, tangy, and a hint of spice. The tofu was perfectly cooked and I had to stop myself from finishing the entire bucket so I could enjoy the rest of our dinner. We ordered the "Peace Not War Wonton Soup." Great seasoning with plenty of dumplings, veggies, shrimp, and pork. We also ordered the Triple Delight Lo Mein (SO MUCH MEAT!!!! We were so stoked the food was hot and looked so delicious upon delivery I failed to take photos lol! Will update next time. We ordered the crab and cream cheese wontons which were puffy, fresh and prob the best I've had. The Mongolian beef, fried rice with shrimp and drunken noodles with chicken were absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh and not full of sodium or msg. I was particularly impressed with the Mongolian beef because it has Yukon potatoes mixed with very tender meat. It was unique and full of flavor! And they were fantastic. Seemed to be freshly made too for extra bonus. The orange beef with broccoli, the beef was lightly breaded as listed - another thing most places overdo. The meat was cooked perfect, and this was listed as spicy but it really had just enough kick to add to the flavor and not to be there to scorch your taste buds. And to that, it came with a perfect amount of sauce for the taste and not to be a soggy mess. The broccoli was crisp yet tender and also not sogged-down. Ordering process was super easy. We've found our go-to Americanized Chinese delivery for those evenings when we want a delicious meal to just show up at our door! Given that we're not in Little Dragon's delivery zone, I do order our meals from here through a third party delivery service that does contactless delivery. This is a plus during the COVID-19 pandemic and worth the delivery premium. Some of our favorites dishes: + Salt and Pepper Shrimp- My top pick. We order this every time, and it never gets old. + BBQ Pork Fried Rice- Great BBQ flavor with ever-so-slightly-glistening rice for indulging. + Hot and Sour Soup- Tangy and peppery, perfect for a cold day. + Orange Chicken- It's fried and in a gooey sweet sauce. Enough said. Other dishes that we've tried are: + Hong Kong Style Noodles with chicken- Love the crispiness of the noodles and the sauce. Omit the baby corn. + Lemon Chicken- Classic fried chicken breast with a lemon sauce. - Shrimp Lo Mein- The shrimp in this dish is a lot smaller than the Salt and Pepper shrimp and tasted a bit odd. We never ordered this again. - Kung Pao Chicken- Extremely sweet, and not spicy at all. - Sacha Chicken- Tastes just like the Kung Pao chicken. Not sure what makes these two dishes different. Important Note: this business excels at Take Out not dine in. Their business is hopping popular but dine inn seating is essentially one table. Want a cozy night in with hot fast fresh Chinese that won't breaK the budget, then this is where you need to go. Run. Fast. Order ahead. Have it delivered. So t wait until crunch time. On weekends they churn can churn out 200+ orders in five hours. Super popular and busy busy busy. We went on a Wednesday evening and had our food in 12 minutes. We ordered the house down! Edamame Sliced pork starter. (Think char shu) Coconut shrimp Crab wontons General's chicken And the list went on. We've been twice since this first experience and enjoyed each time. Ok just got an order xmas eve. Kitchen was super busy and the food reflected that. The sesame chicken had not a smidge of extra sauce, some pieces even had dry spots. Now I know they charge a whopping $6 for extra sauce, but this dish at $20 on its own should come with a basic amount of sauce. Paid another $20 for just some mixed vegetables for my picky eater. It came swimming in a very unappealing goopy cloudy white sauce that actually tasted gross. Had to throw the dish away. I think it might have gone bad even?
