The restaurant itself is presumably a small family owned joint, but has plenty of seating. Surprisingly, they were not busy at all for a Friday night... No problem, we got immediately seated and waited on. The lady running the place was super friendly and funny... Jokes for days, and the strong Chinese accent made it even funnier. Our food came out quick, enormous portions (way too much to eat in one setting), and was respectable Americanized Chinese food... Not the best I've had, but still good. $50 for dinner / 2 people, but they give you enough for 4 people, so I thought it was really well priced. Overall, good pick on our part... I tend to compare orange chicken to Panda Express (probably unfair, but it's my benchmark), and this one didn't quite hit that same balance of crispiness and sauce. I think if it had a bit more meat within each piece, would be better. The mixed vegetables were decent but not something I'd order again. They felt a bit drenched in sauce and didn't have much depth in flavor. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting an elderly woman who helps out when it gets busy. She mentioned she was the former owner. She was incredibly kind, and we ended up having a really nice conversation in Mandarin. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable.
