Pho Ok has consistently served delicious food until today. I ordered two pork bowls to go and brought them home for dinner. Normally the pork is thinly sliced and grilled with a nice char, but tonight it was cut into long thick pieces, barely grilled, and tasted like it was a day old. Very disappointing. I've got someone I want to hook you up with. Ok, is she hot? Well, she's ok. WTF do you mean ok? If it were you, would you date her? Well, she's more than ok. It turns out, Pho Ok being located across the street and being the immediate option, it's more than ok of a spot to hit up, and I would even say Pho Okaaaay now. Being called Pho Ok, set my expectations low (like my last ex), but also like my last ex, taking a risk pay offs sometimes - btw, I'm the dude that doesn't like the risk of even one bad meal although on the flipside for dating, it's nothing antibiotics can't take care of. So how is it better? Be specific I say, so when I asked for dac biet (the special) with the rare meat on the side and they brought out ONLY rare meat, they were like, ok, we fix it, no problem. The meats and other ingredients and portions are better and much larger than the spot I have been in a current relationship with (Pho 63), and now I feel cheated. Du m*h, not ok. Oh, and I won't get into how I was dude back in the day in East side San Jose eating pho for like $6-8, but now it's $13S, $14M, $15L cuz I'm ok with the price in 2024. I've been coming here since 2016 and it's always been good, even when passed onto new owners. The latest family change has been troublesome. There's a middle-aged man who seats you and I have experienced this on my last and final 2 visits. He's aggressive and confrontational but all unprovoked. I started sweating when he approached a pickup order person and was annoyed they didn't speak clear English. Started yelling bandeho to them. It was crazy. Most recently he only brought 1 water to my table of 3 people. Aggressively and annoyed. Mumbling to himself. That's it man. I'm not able to return here. The mom who runs the food is nice but difficult to understand as her English is very limited. It's hard to run a business and extra hard with limited communication, but this middle-aged ogre has to stop tormenting customers. Give him something else to do. Pho OK lives up to its name, providing an OK meal and experience. The inside of the restaurant is typically for an older Asian food place, with little updates and a cramped feel. My food came out quickly on a cold day which was great! The pho was, hate to say it, just ok flavor-wise and the chicken was pretty chewy - not great quality. What an amazing establishment!! Everything was separated and ready to go! Pho OK has carryout or pick up only. I called ahead to place my order for pick up. I was on a date so I forgot to take photos! When you walk in there are social distancing signs everywhere! You have to wear a mask to ended the building. I felt very safe. They have a beautiful layout of the lobby, I can't wait to dine in and eat there when the pandemic is over! I ordered the well done brisket pho and my date got the chicken pho. Everything came packaged separately! The noodles, bean sprouts, onions, green onions, jalapeños, and sauces came separate from the soup. The soup was in its own container! When we got home the soup was piled high so we drank a little of it before adding our fixings! The soup was hot and tasty! It warmed me up on this cold weekend! We added our noodles and meat fixings with all the veggies. Waited a few minutes for the soup to heat everything up and then enjoyed! I highly suggest getting your pho from Pho Ok! There's somebody new working there who is rude, aggressive and has no business dealing with the general public. I was told I cannot sit at my usual table because it might be needed for a larger party. There were two people in the restaurant at the time. And it was 1:15 in the afternoon. Wasn't feeling great and ordered delivery from this spot. They're packaging is fantastic! The star of the show for me was the steamed chicken and vegetables with egg noodles. Wow! So tasty! I also tried the crab wontons, always a winner in my book. My partner went for a medium pho bowl. Back to the egg noodles.... the broth is delicate but flavorful (also I didn't expect any broth so this was a pleasant suprise). The noodles come in a seperate container from the vegetables chicken and broth. Lots of cabbage, brocolli and carrots with such a tasty flavor! Ever since I moved back to Denver from San Francisco, I've been seeking a great pho and bun place. I finally found it, ironically, in Pho OK. I think they should rebrand as Pho-Fantastic or something as it would be better fitting of their food. There are definitely some mixed reviews from my fellow yelpers about this place, but I thought I'd give it a try. My friend had a craving for some Pho and we both live on this side of town so I decided what better time than now to try it out? I ordered the medium pho and so did my friend and her and I both finished our bowls with no noodles to spare. The flavor of the broth is decent and not watered down. I did seem to have a little less tripe and rare steak than other places, but it was ok for me. I have not had the chance to order their other dishes, but I may come back for the vermicelli bowl. Ordered online for 6:15 pickup and paid in advance, and I arrived at 6:15. There was no system to pick up orders, and people are waiting in a huge line with the to go orders just sitting on the counter while the disorganized staff wanders around. Once in a while, they call out a name of an order but mostly everyone is just standing around waiting. Occasionally, someone cuts to the front and asks for their order and they're either given their cold order or told to wait in the mob. Eventually the cashier just asks the mob "who's next?" How about you give out the orders that are getting cold? Cold day, everyone's ordering pho. But they ran out of noodles. Seriously. The pho here isn't even that good, but it's the closest shop to us. We would've ordered from pho haus but they're closed on Tuesdays. Never ordering from here again. UPDATE: I finally got attention from the host, and they didn't know about my order until I mentioned it. Apparently they don't look at orders from their website. They're making it now, 25m after my pickup time. Update update: Finally got my order 50m after pickup time. Bring it home and the broth isn't even hot enough to cook the filet mignon, so we're having to reheat our soup on the stove. read more

Food was just ok. Service was excellent. The fried egg rolls were just fried spring rolls (deep fried rice paper as opposed to deep friend egg wrap). It was still yummy though...but just an ok amount of yummy. The pho was also just ok in terms of flavor. Don't know how else to describe it other than just ok. They give you a lot of noodles and a lot of meat though which makes up for the just ok-ness. Food came out quick. I asked for saté but they didn't have any. But then the owner went in the back and whipped some up for me real quick which was super nice. Its flavor was also just ok. Their Vietnamese ice coffee is on point. It was above ok.
