I rarely write reviews. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:05pm. There were 2 tables occupied. One server and apparently one cook. Vietnamese fare is usually promptly prepared. We ordered Vietnamese spring roll, combination sauteed pan fried noodles and rice plate with grilled beef. 1. We weren't served for over an hour; 2. The preparation was terrible, had no flavor and frankly looked and tasted awful. There is ZERO chance that we will return. This place used to be good for lunch, but has declined. The absolute best pho in town. Get flu shot pho. It's a broth that's sweet, sour, spicy, and heavenly. The spiciness varies based on what chili they use that day so check on how spicy it is when you order. If it's spicy, get it half or quarter flu shot. If it's normal go 100%!!! Honestly one of the best eggrolls I've had in a long time! Everything from the lettuce to the bean sprouts and the cucumber/pickled veggies were amazing! The eggrolls were perfectly fried and extra crispy! Lots of flavor, love their fish sauce and can't wait to come back to try the pho and other menu items. I was shopping at Nordstrom Rack across the street and I just wanted something quick and easy to eat. I will never come back here. I have been here a few times but yesterday night when I got off work I ordered two orders of Chow Fun Noodles from Saigon Terrace and I waited about 15 minutes for my food. I was handed the bag with the food and my boyfriend was working next door at the Best Buy so I went to take him his noodles. I arrived at his work two minutes later, opened the bag and handed him his noodles. He immediately dug into the noodles while they were super fresh and told me they were really good. I was excited to get home and eat my noodles so I left his work. About 5 minutes later, I get a call from him and he's throwing up at work telling me not to eat the noodles. I asked why and he sent me this picture of a cockroach cooked in his noodles. I felt incredibly bad for bringing him food with a cockroach in it. I knew the food was fresh and didn't sit around and it had to have come from the restaurant because it was dead and cooked in the sauce. I took all of our food back and they said they could remake the food for us. I declined and will not be back. As for my partner, we will not be eating out for a while. The server brought me a menu. he said he would be right back with water. I told him I wanted Ice tea instead. he said he would be right back. a couple came in and he sat them 2 tables away. He focused on them. He took their drink order never brought me my drink. He brought out their drink order a then took their food order. I still never got my drink. So I left. You would think there would better service with only 2 active tables. would be smart to take care of 1st seated. Will absolutely never have a second chance. Found this place when two of us were craving bahn mi. We ended up getting 1 tofu bahn mi and 1 veggie pho. The bahn mi was excellent! Very nice sauce, and tofu had good texture. Good quantity of cilantro and medium spicy jalapeno. Bread did not have the crumbly crust I'm used to, was more squishy than the classic baguette. But this was just a little different, not worse, maybe even better than usual. Pho was good, not great. Broth was weak, but finding a good vegetarian pho broth is a real challenge. A squirt of hoisin and another of sriracha and you're in business. Good quantity of noodles and tofu. Not that much in the way of veggies, but that's typical. I ordered food from here this evening through door dash. The order was correct, but this review reflects entirely on the quality of the food. My DoorDash dude was cool as heck. My god! Everything was so flavorless! The "chicken fried rice" was dry, boiled chicken in steamed white rice with pieces of scrambled egg and flecks of green onion. The "hot and spicy chicken" was filled to the brim with celery and bell pepper. Filler vegetables and not that much chicken. The sauce was flavorless, despite me ordering it extra spicy, and it was watery. Probably from the chicken pieces which were BOILED and again, flavorless. The best thing about this whole damn meal was the steamed dumplings. Those were good. The sauce they came with tasted like nothing, but they were piping hot. If you have any respect for yourself WHATSOEVER, you stay far, FAR away from this sorry excuse of a restaurant. So glad I spent over $50 to try these guys out only to legitimately throw my food away because it was so disgusting. And I NEVER THROW FOOD AWAY. IM TOO POOR FOR THAT. I mean look at my profile! WOW WOW WOW!! absolutely AMAZING. i knew it was going to be good from the moment i walked in the door. the restaurant is full of the delightful smells from the kitchen! it really wasn't busy at all, and after i placed my to go order at the counter, it only took about 10 minutes to come out! the server was really polite and he even offered me water while i waited! no place has ever done that for me before! i got the grilled beef spring rolls and the Vietnamese egg rolls and they were FANTASTIC!! the egg rolls were freshly fried and insanely crispy with the perfect vinegar sauce to go with it! and don't even get me started on the spring rolls, 10/10 !!!!! the meat was tender and flavorful the spring paper was soft while still holding together well! the only thing i didn't super love was the peanut sauce, but only because i am insanely picky about my peanut sauce and rarely eat it unless i make it myself. overall, 5 stars, i can not wait to come back! read more

Kung Pao Pork, crab and cheese wontons, sweet and sour soup, steamed rice, iced tea with lemon and a refreshing creamy coconut boba tea smoothie greeted me at the door! There was a lot of food, enough for two separate meals, for a great price! The service was quick. The delivery person all smiles. The overall experience from ease of ordering (through the Yelp app) to payment to delivery to consumption was awesome. It was a one stop shop yo! A marvel of modern technology! Saigon Terrace used to be a very small restaurant in a strip mall on the north side of Colorado Blvd. They have expanded the restaurant so now it is not hard to get a table. When we went around 8pm on a Saturday night it was very quiet inside with only two patrons. However, several more came as we ate. The restaurant is very clean with 20+ tables and a bar area. We started with the egg rolls fried in rice paper. Unlike a Chinese egg roll these come with the Vietnamese fish sauce, cilantro, lime, bean sprouts, carrot and lettuce. The egg rolls (6 in an order) were fried nicely and full of pork and other veggies. The accompaniments helped round out this tasty starter. As I was feeling under the weather I tried the flu shot pho, which has lemongrass and ginger. It was described by the waiter as sweet and sour with some spice. I tried that with beef ball and rare steak. At Saigon Terrace they only offer one size of pho, which is comparable to a medium or large at other Pho places. The broth was great (not too spicy) and different from a traditional pho broth that people usually add hoisin, siracha or both to to enhance the flavor. It came with the normal sides of cilantro, basil, lime, bean sprouts & jalapeno. I ended up taking home at least 1/3 of my Pho as I was so full. While not as hyped as other Denver Pho places I will definitely head back to Saigon Terrace for future meals. They also offer many other dishes such as Vietnamese pancake and stuffed tofu. read more

If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would, as the review average seems about right. It is a pleasant space, and it was reasonably full at lunch time. There were several tables that had not been cleared after eating, and they were not cleared until after the lunch rush ended. We ordered from the lunch menu (which does include soup, but only for dine-in--the website does not mention that). The hot and sour soup had a bit too much vinegar and lacked some of the ingredients of a standard soup. The kung pao was good but just a bit off from the norm of the dish. The tofu curry was also good but tasted kind of like Golden Curry cubes. The menu promised fried rice but we got plain steamed rice. I had not been here in a long time. Used to be a favorite, so I thought why not. I am happy to see that they painted because it looks much better. The food was decent, although a little different. The reason for the 3 instead of 5 stars was due to the child, guessing age 6, who didnt have her shoes on. Walking around and feet on the benches we sit on. I believe she is the child of the women behind the counter. Not only did she not think bare feet in a restaurant was an issue, but the father at the table also didnt seem to care. The ambience is much better now that they've renovated, it used to feel very tacky inside and now it's much nicer. The food was fine. Maybe a 3.5/5. The chicken was super dry and the other food was good but nothing to really write home about. The menu is also very confusing and hard to navigate; the drink menu is incomplete. So yea. Whenever I try a new Chinese food place, I like to order the kung pao chicken. It is one of my staples and I feel you can gauge how good a place is on this dish. When I went to order the food online, their website kept stating that they were closed, even though it was after noon. I tried calling the 2 numbers listed on their site. One sounded like a fax machine. The other stated that the number had been disconnected. I really had a hankering for some kung pao, so I drove down to their restaurant and they were open. As I walked in the doorway, the phone was ringing. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. I told the hostess about the website and phones numbers. She just looked at me like I was crazy and became very rude. Whatever, I wanted kung pao. At this place you can order how hot you want it. No spice, mild, medium, spicy and extra spicy. I went for the extreme and ordered extra spicy. After all, it was kung pao chicken. They handed my food to go, and I went back to work. As I started to eat the kung pao, expecting my mouth to burn, I was very surprised. It wasn't hot at all. It was about a mild spicy. The chicken was tough and the flavor was bland. So disappointed. After speaking to other co-workers who have tried this place, they all said the same thing. No spice, and no flavor. I won't be going back to Saigon Terrace. Had the chance to stop here again because I was visiting friends in the area. Happy to see them busy on a Monday evening! My older lady server was definitely rushed and rude, but I still received everything I needed, even if I had to ask twice. She seemed flustered with the dinner rush. But, a very sweet boy (high school age?) Was making rounds, trying to fill in. After I noticed this, I just asked him for what I needed. I shared the empress chicken with my daughter, perfect for sharing with a toddler. I LOVE the spiciness of this dish, but since I was sharing with my kid I asked for mild. No worries because I was delighted to find that this wonderful entree has such amazing flavor without the spice covering it up!!!! We both ate everything!!!! I ordered some crab rangoons to go, and they are HONESTLY the best I've ever had. Wonderfully crunchy, but dense wontons, absolutely devoid of grease. I've never had that with a rangoon. Also, I can't be sure, but I think they might actually use real crab in these.... Bottom line, if you're a whiny American that needs to be coddled and pampered by your server, try Capital Grille. However, if you want some great "asian" food, served efficiently and with a little flare of asian discontent for Americans, this is the spot :-) Stop whining about bad service and be thankful that you have this wonderful takeout spot by your house, I wish we had this in the Boulder area. In my first review, I mentioned that the place had health code violations and the results weren't satisfactory: Vincent was an amazing server and assisted my friend and I. The dish was superb and delicious, but the hygiene of the restaurant is awful. The whole time there was coughing, sneezing, wheezing by the workers in the kitchen staff. It totally freaked me out. To my surprise, there is finally an authentic pho restaurant with what they called "Keto Pho" that I can eat. First time trying out the Pho it brought me back to childhood when mom used to make it. The sugarless beef broth yet tasty beefy flavor, noodle-less (replaced with bean sprouts) and extra fatty (béo) kept me in ketosis after eating a bowl coming off a 16 hrs. fast. Having a craving for a rice noodle bowl, I pulled a hard left at the site of the PHO sign driving down Colorado Blvd and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is in a strip mall, but that was not going to stop me. I ate lunch here on the 4th of July. I had the entire restaurant to myself and great service as well. The server camped out at a table near me and waited for me to finish this and that and was on it instantly, refilling my water, getting me more soda. Saigon Terrace offers a large menu of Chinese food dishes and a few Pho options, less than I expected. The lunch option, #47 Rare steak rice noodle bowl was a bit skimpy on the meat compared to other Pho restaurants I have been to. I would recommend to add more meat if you're like me. While I was there, they were playing some pretty cheesy background elevator music, I was tempted to ask if it could have been turned down, but I resisted. Overall average experience. read more
