I was put onto this spot by one of my friends who is a native of Hong Kong. This is one of the few Asian restaurants in Denver that he likes. At his suggestion, we tried the Vietnamese noodle bowls. Basically it is a giant spring roll in a bowl and delicious very fresh very light but filling. We also tried the Korean barbecue pork ribs, which were very flavorful. Wheelchair accessibility: There is only one accessible parking spot and when we got there, it was filled with a DoorDash driver. Obviously not the restaurant's fault. There is a set of doors to get in. The front doors are pretty easy to get in and then it is a little bit tight to navigate with a chair, but the staff was super accommodating to help us get a table that was easy for us to access. There is way too much stuff in the hallway to get to the bathroom, however so I can't give you any details on how the bathroom was for a wheelchair as the hallway is full of boxes and other goods and so we were not able to get to the restroom. All in all this is a very delicious place to eat. But might not be ideal if you use a wheelchair. read more

Apparently, $40 now buys you a bowl of cơm đặc biệt, a spring roll, and a front-row seat to the restaurant's cleaning routine. The meat was chewy, the rice was cold, and the beef had such a strange odor and taste that I spent more time wondering what had happened to it than actually enjoying the meal. The spring roll wasn't much better. But the atmosphere really completed the experience. While I was eating, employees were mopping around the dining area with dirty-smelling mops, rolling a cart full of used dishes into the middle of the room, and then sweeping up dust nearby. Nothing enhances a meal quite like cold rice, questionable beef, mop water, dirty dishes, and airborne dust. The restaurant was practically empty, so I suppose everyone needed something to do. Unfortunately, making sure the food was hot and tasted good apparently wasn't on the list. When I told the owner how disappointing the meal was, there seemed to be very little concern about the food or my experience. The priority appeared to be collecting the $40 and moving on. I hadn't been to Pho Duy in about six months, and halfway through this meal I suddenly remembered why. After going here on and off for many years, this visit finally settled it for me. Maybe when you're located near Federal Boulevard and have a steady stream of customers, you can convince yourself that food quality and customer service are optional extras. Authentic Vietnamese pho restaurant in Denver. The parking lot is small, so if you have a smaller car or sedan to drive here, that would be the best option. We got here just before 6pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately. By the time we finished the meal, the restaurant was filled up. I like that there are multiple sizes of pho you can order depending on how hungry you are. You get a ton of meat with the pho. You get a little discount by paying with cash. The meatball pho as well as the brisket pho was great. Broth was deep and flavorful. The whole restaurant reminded me of early 2000's bay area Vietnamese restaurants, which I surely miss. I loved this restaurant and have come to Pho Duy Denver on Federal for many years. I've noticed that they've cut back their portion so much that it's no longer ok- higher price with less quantity. The takeout broth for small size is not enough broth for my meal at home. In addition, they start charging an additional fee if you pay with credit card and claim that it's new regulation. It is not the case; I'm a business owner and consider that credit card processing fee is part of running a business and you should bill it into the price of your dishes. Visiting Denver and took a Lyft to this restaurant which appears to be in a Vietnamese and Hispanic area of the city - so hopes were high for an authentic Pho. Plenty of seating inside with the standard accoutrements at the table. The menu is huge! We ordered the summer rolls and I had the Pho Ga/Chicken Pho. The summer rolls were well filled with a good ratio of noodle to proteins, but the shrimp was slightly warm which threw me off. I was expecting a cold dish. Made the bite have a slight fishy taste. The dipping sauce was a peanut base sauce, we added siracha/hot sauce to it. The Pho broth was hot and had a full satisfying flavor. The noodles were thin but not over cooked, just perfect. They use chicken breast which was quite stringy and not tender. The pieces of chicken were large so maybe that added to the issue. I definitely prefer dark meat in Pho. Absolutely elite Vietnamese restaurant. We stopped in for dinner as we stopped in Denver on a road trip. We were pretty hungry, but just shared one appetizer and each got an entree and we were stuffed. The tofu spring roll is awesome, tofu is seasoned well and the peanut sauce is great here. Their vegetarian pho is probably the best veggie pho I've ever had anywhere in the country. The broth is complex in flavor and seasoned well without being one-note salty. They have a diverse selection of vegetables in there to complement the noodles. Major props to their vegetarian broth. My dinner buddy really liked their tofu banh mi as well. Their bun is also really good, I got the one topped with chicken and egg rolls and loved it. Egg roll seems double fried and is huge and delicious. Chicken is seasoned well and has a nice char on it. It was chilly on Friday so it seemed like a great day for pho or ramen. Got a recommendation to try this place from an acquaintance who had gone for lunch earlier in the day. The place was hopping. There's a parking lot on the side and you can kind of park behind it too? Not too hard. We were seated immediately when we got inside. The menu is fairly large, having a nice variety of pho, rice dishes, noodle dishes, and a giant page of boba flavors if that's your thing. We just stuck with water this time. For an appetizer we shared some Vietnamese spring rolls which was an order of two fairly large rolls (we each had one) and some dipping sauce (comes with peanuts, oops, mild allergy at our table - make sure to tell them if you're allergic). For dinner I ordered pho with beef and brisket. Beef was cooked fairly well, a little chewy/fatty at parts. The broth was definitely aromatic and the limes and jalapeños added great flavor. I did realize pho is not necessarily my thing, but it did taste good for what it was. Prices seemed fair as well (one price for small, one for medium, one for large). I ordered a large, and then was told by friends later "Never get the large; you'll never finish it." And of course I didn't finish it. But I did eat most of the noodles (the real reason I get these sorts of dishes). We asked for the check at the end and I didn't realize you had to go to the counter and tell them your table # to pay. Our waitress didn't tell us, but then told us about 10 minutes later. Not a big deal. They definitely seemed to want to close promptly at 9 though - at 8:30/8:45 they were kind of.....picking up dishes everywhere and seemingly shooing people a little bit. If you want a no frills pho place, this is it. You walk in and are surrounded by endless seating arrangements that are essentially "self-seating". Their menu is EXTENSIVE but organized very well. We got the spring rolls, medium size of the #1 pho (TÁI, NẠM, GẦU, GÂN SÁCH), and grilled pork rice dish. Things I would recommend for those overwhelmed by the menu: their egg rolls and #1 pho. The only thing we liked from the grilled pork rice dish was their egg rolls. For their pho, not only is the broth so flavorful, but the rice noodles are perfectly al dente. The only thing we wished were different with the pho was if the broth was warmer to help cook the bean sprouts and basil leaves. It was more on the salty side. The highlight was my Bun Bo Hue. It is one of the best I had. The portion was so large that I ate for two dinners!!!! I can not get myself to throw it away. I did not mind having the same for two nights. Flavors were perfect. Even spice, and they gave the shrimp paste on the side so you can put as much as you want. It was very addicting. When I go to pho restaurants I usually want more veggies like bean sprouts and basil and they gave me plenty! You definitely get your money's worth of food!
